States have been notified that they will not receive 2025 funding for schools to buy food from nearby farms.

The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from local farms and ranchers, halting more than $1 billion in federal spending.

Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food from nearby farms through the Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program in 2025 has been canceled, according to the School Nutrition Association.

it is so wild to me that I just know a whole bunch of stuff about agriculture that my peers don't know just because I happened to go to school from preschool up through high school graduation in the rural midwest. like my freshman year of college I had to take an american history class and the TA told us the dust bowl was caused by a drought (one of the many reasons, but the drought wouldn't have mattered if they'd been employing good agricultural practices). and one of the reasons people think might have contributed to the collapse of the maya society is their apparent use of slash-and-burn techniques in agriculture, which only work for a few years before the soil is totally depleted of nutrients. like they don't just KNOW this stuff. you're telling me they didn't just teach you these things in school? do you even know what a cover crop is? please tell me you know what a cover crop is

OH!!! i also reeeeaaaaally love animals, insects, arachnids, water animalsss... blah blah blaaaahh.. oh! and about me being in drama club!! i was an actor in the play ATTWN (And Then There Were None)--at my school of course, and i'm helping as a stage crew member in the spring play this year, The Odd Couple (female casting version)! aaannnd heading back to the topic of me being in the FFA... i went to regionals ...i was competing against 8 other freshman (i'm pretty sure) and i placed gold out of three people!! (i was one of the three, not as in top, just one of them lol) which meaaaansss...i'm going to STATE!!! (each person that ranks fourth or higher goes for each region)...which is scary because only people who place FIRST at state go to nationals... and if i get second i have to got to the competition for the east coast... but thats second best and that's still scary. thinking about all of this is making me sick!!!!! ☹️☹️ but i have until June 23rd to get it down 120%, make eye contact, answer the questions effectively and communicate with intellect and without hesitation. OH AND!! I have to be fluent and DO NOT stutter!!! ughhh this is so scary...im gonna cry UGH!!! anyway....umm yeah 😁 soooo and im drowning in school work..! 🩵💙🩵

Fruits and vegetables are a great source of vitamins and minerals. You get to enjoy a variety of flavors and textures of fruits that are rich in dietary fibers. Additionally, growing fruits is a great way to minimize the carbon footprint on the campus. Being considerate of the SAGE fraternity regarding environment & health aspects, the School of Agriculture is all set to start the commercial cultivation of unique delicious fruit crops on the campus. We believe in eating healthy & living eco-friendly.

Hey if anyone is in or around Etowah Country, the Etowah High School agriculture class is growing plants in the greenhouse that will be sold in the spring. Some of what we are currently growing includes:

- Black-eyed suisons

- morning glories

- Wildflowers

- Geraniums

- Roma tomatoes

- cherry red tomatoes

- bell peppers

There's a lot more that we currently have growing, and a large variety of seeds that we have yet to plant! If anyone is interested in this, I'll add the prices to this post as soon as I learn them.

Please keep in mind though these are the plants, and not the product of any of the plants we are growing.

actually the dumbest part of modern aus is that i don't want to kill off tariq or have him be a serious romantic contender due to the whole second cousins thing. but i like his weird gay thing with froi so i have to keep that while also keeping him out of action most of the time

Genuinely so excited for Summerset it's probably one of the more formative landmarks in Cir's life & path towards "redemption" (not just for her lycanthropy but pretty much everything she's done against her oath to do good by the Green and the People). Since she saw the war from the eyes of the Dominions "enemies" (more specifically their actions in Blackmarsh) she's harbored a resentment for Ayrenn. She hasn't exactly had time to confront her about the horrible things her army is doing to innocent people when she's knee deep in depression and still grappling with the memories she regained with her soul a few months ago LMAO (I think the events of each alliance have happened over the course of 3 months each, since almost all of these problems and sieges and such have been happening and building up over weeks it's just now that Cirwedh being fished out of the sea by Raz and she works VERY fast LMAO she is like Morning Glory man. ANYWAY she finally gets to talk to Raz when they bump into each other in Shimmerene. She gets a letter from Ayrenn asking for her personal assistance with a delicate matter and since Cir is still an Eye she goes because she needs to get these years of thinking of her chest. AND SO MUCH ELSE HAPPENS BRO I CANT WAIT TO PLAY IT AGAIN AND LIVETWEET LORE DROPS
