@fritzlichty just for you!
Oskar Schindler.
The movie wasn't exactly true. It was, in fact, historical fiction. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It brought light to a man that did save people.
Among the key revelations in the book: Oskar Schindler did not write out a list of people to save, he didn’t break down in tears because he thought he could have saved more people, and it is unlikely he experienced a defining moment, such as seeing a girl in a red coat, that led to his decision to save the lives of his Jewish workers.
Steven Spielberg’s movie Schindler’s List, while important, impressive and admirable in many ways, took creative license on these and other issues.
What makes the story of Oskar Schindler so fascinating is he was not a saint. He cheated on his wife, he drank excessively and he spied for Abwehr, hello Canaris!
I'm sure if Heydrich found out?. The amount of pissed off he would be? Atomic bomb level of crazy.
When you look at it through a wider lens, Schindler's initial interest, of course, was to make money. In otherwords, he didn't give a fuck, at first.
To truly know someone outside of a base level is often to care.
That is what happened. Schindler grew to care about his Jewish workers, particularly those with whom he came into contact on a daily basis.
In addition, helping Jews became a way to fight against what he viewed as disastrous and brutal policies emanating from Adolf Hitler and the SS.
There was no list, at least by Schindler. The lists were done by one of the secretaries or possibly by one secretary. It was also quite self-serving by the gentleman who did it.
Oskar Schindler convinced German authorities his factory was vital and that he needed trained workers. But Schindler did not author or dictate the list of who would go on the transport, as was dramatically depicted in the Steven Spielberg film.
Many of the characters in the film were also composites of more than one person.
According to Dr. Mordecai Paldiel, the head of the Righteous Among the Nations Department at Yad Vashem: “There was no person more deserving of Righteous Gentile status than Oskar Schindler, including Raoul Wallenberg.” Crowe agrees. “I think that Oskar Schindler’s heroism is unique because of the fact that what he did, both in Krakow and Brunnlitz, took place in the midst of the most horrible killing center in modern history. Moreover, while his most dramatic efforts took place during the last year of the war, Oskar Schindler’s efforts to help and later save Jews was a stance that evolved over three or four years.
Oskar Schindler was a great man who saved the lives of more than 1,000 Jews during the Holocaust. The imperfections in his character and the nuances in the historical record only make his story more remarkable."
Was he perfect? No. Not by any stretch of the imagination. However, if more people were like him, WWII might have had a very different story.

“There’s a lot of money in wars, except in the war on poverty. Can’t make any bread helping the poor.”— Lenny Bruce
There is an early scene in the film “Schindler’s List” where the womanising, Nazi Party member, Oscar Schindler explains to his wife Emile why his past ventures into business have not been very successful.
“SCHINDLER:
There's no way I could have known this before, but there was always something missing. In every business I tried, I see now it wasn't me that was failing, it was this thing, this missing thing. Even if I'd known what it was, there's nothing I could have done about it, because you can't create this thing. And it makes all the difference in the world between success and failure.
He waits for her to guess what the thing is. His look says, It's so simple, how can you not know?
 EMILIE
Luck.
SCHINDLER
 War."
(Schindler’s List screenplay by Steven Zaillian. Based on the novel by Thomas Keneally)
War! There is ALWAYS money to be made during war, not by ordinary men and women but for businesses and individuals close to those in power. War does not have to be physical in the sense that homes and infrastructure are destroyed and populations maimed and killed, but can be an economic war in the form of sanctions, tariffs, asset freezing, trade restrictions, cyber operations, etc.
Trump, for the moment, has embarked upon an economic war with the rest of the world, determined to fulfil his promise to Make America Great Again. How long that war will remain purely economic remains to be seen.
At his inauguration speech  Trump set out his vision of American foreign policy.
"Our armed forces will be free to focus on their sole mission -- defeating America's enemies.”
He has talked of taking over the Panama Canal, of invading Greenland and has referred to Canada as “the 51st state”.
Trump is prone to hyperbole - either deliberate or unintended - but even if HE is simply being bombastic and talking tongue in cheek many of his followers take his words seriously. How long before he is persuaded by those close to him that economic warfare isn’t working fast enough and he should   embark upon  a physical war?

RXIDUS‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬-‭21‬ ‭
”Then Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, gave this order to the Hebrew midwives, Shiphrah and Puah: “When you help the Hebrew women as they give birth, watch as they deliver. If the baby is a boy, kill him; if it is a girl, let her live.” But because the midwives feared God, they refused to obey the king’s orders. They allowed the boys to live, too. So the king of Egypt called for the midwives. “Why…

Cabe preguntarse si algunas acciones de Emilie Schindler en este sentido no han sido escamoteadas por la leyenda de su esposo, así como la figura de Robin Hood o la del rey Arturo ocultan a veces las hazañas de los héroes menores

Casa Schindler

Residencia Roxy Roth Casa Droste

Krem week day 2 — Euphoria / Expression
I wanted to capture the euphoria he might have experienced while secretly serving in the Tevinter army. Simultaneously, this could represent the true freedom of expression he may have felt among The Chargers for the first time.
This dialogue between Bull and Cole also comes to mind:
Cole: You and Krem say words that hurt, but they aren't real, The Iron Bull.
Iron Bull: Yes. We give each other grief. It's a soldier thing. Doesn't mean anything.
Cole: It means friendship. And that you're soldiers. Krem likes it, it makes him proud.
