Yeah, I don't know, I got possessed by the spirit of yearning a few weeks ago, wrote a scene in a fugue, and then went feral turning it into a comic. But frankly I am always low-key thinking about Pining Kids, so really this should come as no surprise.

There's this kind of hybrid artstyle in comics lately that I wanna learn how to do (i just wanna stare at them coz its too pretty). Would it be an insult to call it hybrid? Hybrid in a way that its more anime-ish/cartoon-ish...but still very much in comic artstyle. It's very stylized too, and it's more softer and expressive on the face, and I love it.

I don't know if its a real thing, or I'm just seeing things in my fave artists in comics

The general plot is kinda the same, but there are some big differences. Namely the whole love triangle thing isn't actually there it's just Raoul's one brain cell trying and failing to keep up and causing him to misunderstand.

This tag was some time ago, but here's something from Han's introductory chapter in Pelican Queen!

Han let his gaze wander all around the somber halls of Dol's castle. He had worked in the barley field for months, but no one had summoned him inside until today.

The great hall was narrower than he expected. He took in every sharp, unfriendly stone and the patchy spiderwebs overlooked by housekeeping. Long wooden tables lined the cramped walkway, decorated by a crowd of urns. Han's imagination filled them with the ashes of Dol's family.

The distinct sound of a bird flapping its wings echoed overhead. Han stepped under the thorny arm of a potted vine to avoid the bird as it passed, moving carefully away from the thorns as soon as the coast was clear. Standing so close to them made him uneasy.
