The Miss Honey lifestyle:
🌸₊˚ 🦢・₊✧𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒
Your very brave Miss Honey…
“Not as brave as you ♡”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can imagine she spends her days in the garden, drinking tea and marking the workbooks of her class, reading books, painting and baking cookies. So I just had to write this post 🌷♡
How to live a “Miss Honey” lifestyle:
Spend time being present. Don’t spend too much time on your phone/looking at the online world. I can imagine she prefers books to her mobile any day. Take note of the world around you and how lucky you are to live in nature
Take up hobby’s. Baking, painting, knitting, crochet, pottery, gardening, flower pressing - any cottage-core-type hobby’s that you can spend your weekends & free time doing
Invest in a complete, cottage-core wardrobe. With pastels, florals, tea dresses, maxi dresses, blouses, skirts, dungarees etc - (Her outfits in the movie for reference are all gorgeous!)
Read a lot. Miss Honey is known for her love of books and I can imagine she has a great many at home. Display books in your room/around your space and always have one to hand. Read in the garden, in the morning, of any evening, whenever you get the chance 📖
Spend time outdoors. Wether it’s in your garden, going on walks through the forest, trips to your local bakery. Walk places or even cycle
Don’t be afraid to live carefree and free-spirited. Miss Honey loves to have fun and doesn’t mind spending time doing something just for her enjoyment (we can see this at the end of the movie)
Collect cute cottage-y dinnerware and tea sets to make your afternoon tea extra special
Drink tea and cookies frequently 🫖🍪
And most importantly… be kind and caring to all. Show understanding and think of others as well as yourself. Take care of yourself though and always stand up for what is right 😊🍓🫖✨

It doesn't make any sense. Nothing fits together. And the guilty conscience you feel over little things. You understand? And what about all the things you'd decided to do? Don't you have to do them anymore? Is it possible to be one and the same person at the very same time - I mean, two people?
Sister Alma in Persona (1966)
Persona is a 1966 horror psychological drama directed by Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. The story revolves around an actress named Elizabeth who during a live performance of ‘Electra’ becomes mute and is cared for by a nurse named Alma. Throughout the film, it is made clear to the viewers that perhaps the characters of Elizabeth and Alma are the same person with two detached personas embedded.
Alma is everything Elizabeth couldn’t be. She has an affinity for her job, she loves her husband and most importantly she averted an unwanted birth. She is Elizabeth’s ideal self. According to Jungian philosophy, if there is a huge gap between a person’s ideal self and real self, then it could lead to disruption in life and bouts of depression. The film drew heavily from Carl Jung’s theory of Persona wherein it is described as “a kind of mask, designed on the one hand to make a definite impression upon others. And on the other to conceal the true nature of the individual.”
Liv Ullmann and Bibi Andersson in Ingmar Bergman's Persona (1966)

TROLL Roar Uthaug Norway, 2022
-
I enjoyed TROLL, but I also kept thinking throughout the entire movie:
How did all these Norwegians dealing with a giant mountain troll they didn't believe exists not see the Norwegian film THE TROLL HUNTER in which a lot of Norwegians deal with a giant mountain troll they didn't believe exists?
De som ikke kan huske fortiden, er dømt til å gjenta den.
Du trodde tydeligvis ikke på det da du så det.
