“He’s already tried to kill her once!” Cullen snapped, as if Sataareth herself wasn’t in the room.
Sataareth let out a long, tired sigh.
“Should I stop working with Cassandra as well, then?” she asked. “Grab Varric on my way out, be sure not to say goodbye to any of the Faithful who were ready to immolate me before I was named the Herald of Andraste?”
She could tell her calm was unnerving them, but she was so tired. There seemed to be no other way to end the meetings, so she continued. “I am an escaped slave, who once belonged to one of the most powerful, and gruesome, men in Tevinter. I free slaves for a living. I’m Tal Vashoth. If a week passed where someone didn’t try to kill me, I’d be exceptionally surprised. That doesn’t matter.

Yeah alright @reallyquitestrange let's go it :) (I'd been eyeing this oen anyhow). Rules: Make a 24hr poll listing the titles of every WIP you want to work on. (It’s fine if you only have one, still make a poll for the vote count). Whichever WIP title gets the most votes, write 1 sentence for every vote received.

Asit tal-eb. The way things are meant to be. Ashkaari Koslun teaches us that the world and the self are one. That it is the choice of every individual whether to act according to their nature and the nature of the world, or oppose the proper order, and struggle against themselves and against the world. As a former slave, Sataareth Issqun knows that a choice made without freedom is nothing but illusion. That the old tools of Mastery, dependent on force and coercion, are corrupting the very soul of the Qun. In the tradition of questions started by the Great Ashkaari, and continued by the Arishok once known as Sten of the Beresaad, she will be the someone who asks how Mastery can be achieved, and listens for the answer. After the incident at the Divine Conclave, Sataareth finds the fate of all the world depends on her Mastery. Anaan esaam Qun--Victory is in The Qun

The markings were a veritable constellation of scars from a life lived far too hard for it’s relatively short duration, but the most immediately informative were the series of brands etched distinctly across her left arm, stretched out and keloid in the way that indicated Sataareth was much much smaller when they had been received. Along with the common “family brand” that most slaves received was the phrase Danger, do not trust in Tevinter Dalish and the following phrases in Common, Tevene,  and Qunlat. Escaped slave. Problems of discipline. Promised reward if returned. Property of Lord Erimond of Vyrantium.
It took all her strength not to stare at the last, to go about whatever tasks she could find on the ship rather than fall prey to the memory of the day one Lord Erimond had succeeded the last, how much worst things had gotten, how certain she had been that all the world could change and leave her forever the property of some Lord Erimond. It had been years, the tide of the Qunari had long since risen and brought her home. Asit tal-eb.

How do you think Fenris would be introduced at the Winter Palace? It won't matter until probably chapter 20 or so but I miss him so I'm working on some chapters with him now...
Edit: miss him... I miss him not "kiss" him, although...
Add/clarification: I wonder if they'd call him the blue wraith. Would he be a hero of Kirkwall despite not being the champion? Would slave liberation be part of a winter palace title or actually freak out the nobles? We know winter palace guy likes to embellish too...

By the time she reached the center of the blanket and found her way to the floor with crossed legs, she was on her rock facing the Great Ashkari, and the Ocean crashed all around and into the two of them.
“Ashkaari Koslun,” she asked, “is the danger of the Saarebas really within their nature?”
The spectre of the Ashkaari never actually spoke unless it was to repeat a  direct passage from the Qun she knew from memory. The Ashkaari was long since dead and, as always, her lessons with him would have to come from within. Still, having him there was somehow still comforting, stabilizing..
