@bestnoncannonship and I are continuing our Sherlock Holmes obsession..and we just finished the most underrated Sherlock adaptation, Miss Sherlock. It's a Japanese production set in modern day Tokyo with Sherlock, Watson and Moriarty all played by women. Yuko Takeuchi has fast become one of my favorite Sherlocks, next to the incredible Jeremy Brett. And one of my favorite things about her is she always seems to be eating something that looks delicious. There's seriously so much food in this show, it makes you hungry.

So we celebrated finishing the show by taking a late night trip to H Mart and making a Miss Sherlock inspired Japanese dinner. We had a very Sherlock Futaba approved chocolate roll cake for dessert but we made way too much food and were stuffed, so guess we'll have to eat it tonight! Anyway, if you haven't seen this show get on it! This fandom needs a revival and more love.

Hi! Okay the fic i am looking for is an 8th year Hogwarts fic. I read it on ao3. i don't recall too many details.

It had inter-house unity. Harry and Draco slowly start falling in love. Towards the end Draco is put on trial and he is taken away from Hogwarts into custody. He had to go through a trial so basically Harry and his friends come together to defend him. Basically Hermione takes over and starts putting everything together and I think she also speaks for him in court. I remember Draco being very scared and timid.

So yeah those are only things i remember.

I've seen alot of ur art for like alot of sara_holmes marvel fics!! Have you read "the other man out of time" from them yet? It's a really good winterhawk fic :D

Thanks for the rec! Yeah, I have! I love it. A couple of bingo fills that were planned but didn't get made in time (and probably won't ever see the light of day now) were for it. Off the top of my head, they were: - the Tank Kiss (when Clint is atop a tank, falls, Bucky breaks his fall and they both fall, and they're laughing, and they kiss probably); that whole moment is just suffused with happiness and joy and I love it. Might be my fave scene in the whole fic. - "You're not Iowa?" Bucky, when he meets present!Clint for the first time, heartbroken that he's not past!Clint - "I'm trying, but you won't *listen* to me!" Clint having a fight with present!Steve about his own inability to prevent the past from happening again. They're just all so sad and angry and desperate in this scene.

(I read that fic more than a year ago, and I did not need to reference my docs, I still remembered those scenes clearly enough to write this - for context, I have a really bad memory and read a lot of fic, so that means something)

Just finished the audiobook of Devil in the White City, and it's still as impactful as it was when I read it on a plane sometime back in college.

Last night, I was picking out a movie to watch and decided to start on a little mini project I've been thinking about for a while, which is watching all the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes movies. I've basically never watched them and he was the default Holmes culturally for a long time, so I wanted to try them out. I've been putting them off, however, because I had negative impressions of Nigel Bruce's Watson.

However, due wholly to coincidence, I have inadvertently discovered a solution to any and all jam Watsons. All you have to do is read one of the Arsène Lupin novels that features Herlock Sholmes before watching the movie. Literally any Watson is going to be better than Leblanc's Watson/Wilson and you'll spend the whole movie thinking, "Okay, not the best Watson ever, but it could be so much worse. Really, this is quite pleasant." I don't necessary recommend this method, but it definitely works.

Anyway, the Rathbone Hound of the Baskervilles was quite good! I'm looking forward to watching more of the films.

Hi, the fic I’m trying to find is post-war. On the fic, Draco wrote Harry letters but Harry never reads them (except for the first Ken but he never replied). And once, Ginny tried to (throw them?/accidentally knocked it off the desk?) but Harry got all defensive about them + won’t throw them no matter what. Until one day, Draco stopped writing letter and Harry got worried and asked Hermione why he didn’t receive letters from Draco anymore. I only remember it up to here, sorry… Tysm
