I finally got comfortable enough to draw and NOT destroy something! I wanted to attempt to push out as much story I can before my executive dysfunction and perfectionism attempt to prevent it from happening.

To spare you my info dumping (Tragically, I think my ocs are my special interest which I don't share as much irl since it's harder to do so without VISUALS and looking like a loud person)- I'll put it all under here. I

n brief, these three are in what I call a toxic triangle that only recently toned down as they got older. No one is clean in this mess and I am sorry for this.

Long story, Saphir instigated in a little manipulation since she was tired of feeling isolated and not in control. She saw the heavily dysfunctional duo of Igneous and Violette as prime candidates for her needs.

Igneous felt Violette genuinely needed s friend since it seemed as if she was bullied as he was with isolation. Alas, the blunt lass wasn't really too torn up about the solitude. She was more upset a certain freckled freak kept invading her space. His constant persistence in what he initially though were kind gestures drove her to get nastier. To the point she was labeled a nasty bully. She was harassed horribly as a result and he felt deep remorse upon realizing it.

Naturally, Saphir stoked the flames from afar before ultimately making her move to 'befriend' Violette. She didn't plan for the bookworm to fall for her so quickly and brutally. She also got Igneous shortly after. Neither of them realized they'd be engaged until a few years after the fact. On the eve of a war that'd be caused by raising tensions, Igneous (in his mind to protect his betrothed from his blood thirsty mother) annuls his engagement.

He was sent to die in battle as his mother viewed his actions as treacherous. Saphir was in hysterics as she loved him deeply. Well, as deeply a control seeking person could. Violette stood beside her and even did her damnedest to protect Saphir as she hid her away. After 7 years of bloodshed and a magical (if not, totally monkey's pawing( wish- it all ended.

Saphir wed Violette, holding immense guilt for what she had to do. She had cursed Igneous with her wish. She watched him crawl and vomiting black ichor as he pulled his barely living corpse back up. Igneous remains respectful towards both ladies. Violette holds deep and visceral resentment due to all trauma caused by his existence. Saphir cannot forsake either of them yet keeps making bad choices out of desperation to keep them both.

In the end, this cannot last as it is currently. Someone's gunna die for it and gods only know the actual answer of who it is.

I drew this almost a week ago and decided to post it.

It's of my ocs (from top left to the very bottom) Rosilyn, Violette, Saphir, Matilda and Emerald.

These five girls have been through a lot since they're some of my earliest ocs who've had a lot of revisions since their original debuts back in the deleted da posts.

Collectively, all had multiple retooling- with Emerald and Saphir being the most drastic in designs. Before, their were basically just the same color pallets of Rosilyn- just had diffent shade of blonde and color theme. All but Matilda (well, she had black hair which was ooriginally blond but she was the first hair change at the time) were at some point- some pale chick. The least changed is Rosilyn who only has had a few minor tweaks with Matilda. Violette also has developed slightly more over time.

I wanted to make these ocs (just like any other one) stand out and be recognized without too much trouble. Colors and hair designs alone help set them apart. Also, I just like having fun dressing them up and making them shine uniquely. They'll probably change as I continue to experiment and grow as an artist.

Sorry about infodumping, I just love drawing my ocs and it's easier to talk about them once I've a visual.

After dealing with a severe bout of artistic blockage, I drew a couple pairings of my ocs. Mostly because I needed something wholesome and felt like giving them flashback looks.

The smaller comics above are set in the present while the colored bits are past.

The first one basically has Violette (left) and Saphir (right) commenting on each other’s looks during a party when they were younger. Apparently, both of them had issues with their styles. For Violette, she was extremely self conscious about how she made her hair up. For Saphir, she lowkey hated wearing her outfit because her mom forced her into it. It was only made tolerable because they were with each other. This was one of the foundations of their eventual getting together

The second one is essentially Igneous acknowledging his stupidity to Milo. When they were younger, he never understood why his friend wasn’t with any fiancee at the time. The latter implied he was rather hard to please and preferred ‘different’ company. The implication being Milo was and is still very much gay. Igneous didn’t realize this until much later after a bunch of stuff happened. Hence the comic above, where at the end Milo directly asserts he fancies him and revels in his majesty’s baffled flustering.

Here’s a rather messy four pages of comics starring Igneous Crimizion- the King of the Fire Kingdom(Infernus). He explains the various situations he finds himself in.

It’s hard to read some of the text due to the way I write at times- so, I’m going to give brief descriptions for each one in order.

It’s a lot, but I wanted to share it- feels good to draw like this again.

1. He talks about his desire for peace and claims to be a simple man. He’s weighed down with regrets and immense guilt for his past choices that he made when he was younger. Some (Deposing and executing his tyrannical mother)not nearly as much as others (The war). Igneous also reveals he’s dying from a mysterious heart condition that causes him to vomit out blood profusely. In spite of the challenges he faces, he resolves to try his best regardless.

2. His grace idolizes his two ‘friends’, his ex fiancee Saphir and her wife Violette. They’re the perfect couple and basically are everything he believes he could never be. They’ve known each other since childhood and there’s been a lot between the three of them. It’s complicated. Violette deeply resents and despises Igneous for his past relationship with her wife. Despite their engagement being broken off amicably, his mother waged war with Saphir’s father and lead to a nasty 7 years of unnecessary bloodshed. Saphir’s never told her much yet it was enough for Violette to justify her grudge against him. Doesn’t help that Igneous has unrequired feelings for her yet doesn’t act on them because he isn’t a shit head. Also, acknowledges confessing such things would only make things worse. Saphir is just vibing for the most part. 

3. A dream of a past memory. His 12th birthday and engagement to Saphir causes Violette to confront him. She vindictively makes it clear she’s not here for him but her. Almost bluntly telling him to fuck off. Makes it clear he isn’t good enough- such as the opinions of a 10 year old hypocrite (she hadn’t confessed her feelings to Saphir at the time). Reinforcing his poor self image and repressed feelings. Time skips post war and brake up, Violette confronts him again and tells him off. Basically blaming him for everything, literally every single thing. She doesn’t know that the two of them broke up willingly and wanted to remain friends. Nor she doesn’t know that the war wasn’t started from that. It was just a fake pretext for his mother to start a bloodbath. Igneous carried deep guilt and remorse for his failure to prevent all that. By the end, he’s awake crying alone.

4. Recalls his first day with his Doctors- Vanessa Bittersweet and Emma Clockwork. At the time , he had been practically reduced to a dying ball of depression and had been neglecting his overall needs. Possibly thinking about um- un-living himself. Doctor Bittersweet surmises that his self harm is causing his sickness to worsen at an even faster pace than usual. She asks her wife to leave before basically slapping the shit out of him. She grabs his pathetic, weeping face and tells him off. Vanessa isn’t a woman to stand around idly over a weeping willow. Igneous is confronted with her harsh yet understandably concerned tone. After convincing him that life is worth living and he be better- he breaks down and has an episode of bleeding. Bittersweet gets her wife and they take him into his chambers for treatment. It ends with the two doctors discussion their upcoming plans as he wakes up.

I swear I am not pandering to an audience, last night just dragged these two out of the depths of my mind! Behold, Violette (Left) and Saphir (Right).

Violette and Saphir are currently engaged and have been for a bit. Yet, hardly see each other nowadays due to all sorts of obligations. They’re both princesses after all and have to lookout for their people.

It still doesn’t frustrate Violette any less. All she wants is to be with her beloved fiancee.  She gets more upset when Saphir is sort of nonchalant about it. The latter often tries her best to see her and makes the most of it when she can. As seen here, their affection for each other is quite immense. When they trade blows, they can’t help but get flustered over each other.

Canonically, Violette’s a lesbian and Saphir is Biromantic (she previously had another fiancee Igneous which she broke up with. she’s still friends with him.)

Inktober day 28- Guilt.

Princess Saphir harbors a dark secret. She cannot share this secret due to circumstances out of her control. All she can confess that it has caused her and people she cares about so much pain. Someone’s on the verge of dying and there’s an ever growing rift between former friends.

The guilt she carries over her actions leading up to this weighs heavy. The only other person who knows the truth mocks her for her cowardice. She couldn’t have ever imagined that this is what her wish would be like. Still, she wants to make things right somehow...

So, I got some awesome copics for my birthday that’s tomorrow!

I decided to test them out on two of my ocs. I chose these two in particular because for whatever reason, my scanner hates skin tones. Like, it’ll grey scale them if I don’t color them deeply enough in colored pencil or lightly with my sharpie. Both are pretty messy.

The copics have given me a slightly cleaner way to color them in.

Pearl’s colors are slightly subdued in the hair due to constrasting issues but came out lovely. Her second test is her og color but colored darker for a more visiable result. :3

Saphir’s was trickier as I wanted to make her look more natural and not an orange. Brun definately overtook terracotta by a mile. She came out much way nicer in the long run.

So, I might be using these for skin colors over colored pencils.

The other colors in test two are sharpies to add some constrast to test 1 which was exclusively copics.

Long story short, hopefully more correctly colored characters in the future- I hope.

Our often vindictive lady Violette Quartz doesn’t hold Igneous entirely for her grudges towards him. No, it’s partly due to Saphir- her wife and best friend- carrying on with him as if nothing traumatizing has happened. She fears Saphir is having an emotional affair with her ex fiancee due to some underlying guilt. Any rumors and remarks only serve to push forward that narrative. This is on top of Saphir’s strangely neglectful nature towards her lately. All make for a nasty cocktail of unending paranoia and anger for the poor lass. 

The truth, however, is far stranger than what she truly believes.

After another night of performing at the local opera house, Lady Pearl Asmodeus encounters Lord Hector- a regular who’s been trying to get closer to her. Being well aware of how this’ll look, she tries to deter him from walking with her. When the threats of prying eyes and gossip or possibly murder doesn’t work, Pearl resorts to making her point. Literally with a dagger to his neck. It’s laughed off and they part ways for the night.

Of course, Lady Asmodeus returns home to find an irritating person. Her cousin, the crowned royal Saphir DeCorbon, tries desperately to speak to her. Pearl quickly goes up the stairs, deflecting any attempts to bridge the gap between them. She touts that their current relationship cannot be repaired due to their history with their own mothers feuding. Saphir assures her that it’s not about that. She insists that she’s worried about her safety. Pearl bluntly asserts it’s none of Saphir’s business to be meddling in her personal affairs. She reaffirms the line mustn’t be crossed as a royal associating with a known courtesan would cause unnecessary drama. All the while, the princess stumbles with her words.

Internally, Saphir’s true concerns simmer as she had seen Lord Hector hanging around her dear cousin. Pearl insists she leave if she’s done. Her royal grace asserts her position and inquires of Hector. The deadpan beauty coyly tiptoes around the question. Once she assures Saphir she doesn’t know em, Pearl slams the door on her face. The nosy brunette quietly curses her out before quickly retracting that thought. She dreads that Hector will exploit Pearl as a means of forcing her hand. She notes how efficient the sly lord is at manipulating the situation for his benefit. Saphir is unable to view Pearl as anything but an unassuming victim- a contrast to Pearl’s true character. She then makes a rather selfish promise to protect Pearl from him- no matter the cost.

On the flip side, Lord Hector- crown prince of Entrancia- sits in his private office longing to be with his favorite person. His servants try to distract him with their findings. It proves little use as Hector can’t seem to get Lady Asmodeus out of his mind. He can’t help his frustration. He has been trying to hold Saphir to her end of the wishing contract they had made ages ago. The shrewd wish making dreads that Lady Asmodeus’ll be harmed if this isn’t resolved soon. Of course, he tries his damndest to deny his true feelings as the apple of his eye is a human of all things. Alas, he cannot do so as he’s forced to quietly admit he’s smitten with her. He bemoans himself.

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a (mostly) sharpie full color.

The first one is Vanessa and Emma just showing off in a lab they frequent for research purposes. Emma’s a bit of a klutz and Vanessa is just voguing. This was really fun to do and always welcome an opportunity to show off my girls.

The second one is a bit of a lore heavy one. To abridge it, Saphir’s lameting her decisions as her friend Igneous faces death and her world is crumbling around her. Hector is mocking her for her foolishness as he’s glared down by Rosilyn on the left. Matilda feels great guilt towards Saphir’s issues as her bother Hector is behind this mess. It’s all encompassed by the void itself, the wish granting deity who devours the price of wishes. Be it memories or actual souls. Igneous is depicted as a slowly dying mess.

Behold, after what feels like age and half- I present some fake novel covers based off the Otome-Isekai/ Korean Webtoons I’ve been very into for the last year or so.

I have my own gripes about certain trope and drew these with the concept that these people can actually be fucking adults and everyone can be a little shitty.

At least three are related and one’s a side story if I ever dare get the balls to write.

The Little Secret- It’s actually a not so dramatic but rather hurt and comfort story about a neglected wife who’s marriage to her spouse isn’t as she  imagined. She somehow ends up befriending her once most despised ‘love’ rival who happens to be her spouse’s ex fiancee- The sickly and weak King of Infernus. The real fun kicks in when her spouse’s own stupid choices come backing everyone in the butt- magic do be a bitch and so is everyone involved. It’s all told from a third party who’s lived a similar experience as a child.

Bitterly, Sweetly and Ever so Neatly- Follows the story of two doctors (they’re married) who try to help a man get his life back together after he’s stricken with a dreadful heart condition. They come to terms with their own insecurities and often confront people who accuse them of using their patient for personal. More of a character driven conversation rather than a plot heavy story.

Paleful Imitation- (The Forgotten Bride) A tragically romantic tale of a young courtesan who performs at the local opera house during the day. She struggles with paying rent to her so called mother and is constantly being controlled by her cousin- the princess who happens to share her face. She ends up attracting the ‘devil’ when he witnesses her performing. He’s in over his head when he tries to woo her- our not so leading lady has quite the pair of claws under all those pearls. They’ll have to deal with politics, consequences of poor decisions and a lot of stupidity.

The Bedeviled Groom- (A dying man’s redemption/It’s lonely here in the Abyss) Covers additional context behind the King from TLS/BSESN. It’s told largely from his majesty’s perspective. From his early life traumas to his current day struggles- he opens up about his dreams and insecurities. Unrequited loves, a sickness that feeds into a vicious cycle of self-deprecation and regrets. He never claims to be a good person and absolutely doesn’t excuse his shitty actions past or present. He’s merely a man who seeks peace and will do what he must to get it as cleanly as possible. That said, he isn’t above being a bit cruel. 

All these are just ideas I’ve had for a while and to be honest, I just wanted to draw what I didn’t get to see in what I’ve read in the webcomics.

Behold, another character page that I need because lord knows I’ll forget if I don’t post it now.

Saphir DeCorbon is the supposedly sole heir of Lunez and formally Igneous’s fiancee. She’s a bright, brilliant and somewhat down to earth. Some of her snootier peers (her currently fiancee- Violette) find her somewhat laid back personality to be a tab undesirable. This doesn’t stop Saphir from getting her work done or cheerfully telling folks to knock it off.

Behind that beaming smile and sparkly eyes, lies a rather secretive and depressed nature. Saphir feels like she has to hide some things out of fear. The fear of rejection. The fear of being accused of something else. The fear of being alone. She has made quite a number of choices she’d rather not talk about. One in particular might’ve as well given her ex the death sentence and she’s been trying to fix it behind the scenes. It doesn’t look good for anyone involved.

Much like her ex, Saphir beats herself up profusely over the war. Unlike Igneous, she isn’t considered a villain. Rather, the public perceives her as a victim due to a nasty slew of rumors surrounding the whole affair. She constantly denies the allegations vigorously. To the point she’ll blow up if anyone brings them up casually. After all, one doesn’t take such things lightly as it has a lot of consequences.

Saphir is a tank that can only take so many hits before being worn down. She needs to pour some grace on herself as she always does for others.

Judas DeCorbon is semi-undead wraith-hybrid from a timeline that no longer exists. He ended up being taken in by Saphir (who is technically his bio mom from his og timeline) after she found him unconscious on the beach. He works really hard to pay back her kindness (and possibly some guilt he glosses over a lot). 

For the most part, he’s quite chill for something of his kind. Though, he will get annoyed if you cut his head off. Just because he can’t die by decapitation doesn’t make it hurt any less. Due to his somewhat casual nature, it makes it hard for people to figure him out. 

Judas secretly carries out a lot of chores for Saphir when she can’t do them herself. It could range from deliveries to low key investigating murder. He doesn’t give much explanations for his actions when doing this. Which is why the politicians and such find him frustrating to deal with. They try to sabotage him on the regular. It never works for them as he’s already one step ahead of them. Saphir also keeps them off his back.

Our undead lad is also afraid of tight spaces due to a past incident involving him being buried alive. 

He also has a blossoming relationship with Prince Viridian Verde of the Wind Kingdom. They two often hold hands and Judas isn’t used to being so attached to another person outside his mom.

Phillip (Phil) DeCorbon, a fourty year old self loathing cleric who pretty fucked himself over 20 years back and now is just readjusting to life with his more or less estranged family, mostly because Cerulean (his dad and the king of the water) found em trying to end his miserable existence. He uses water as a means of magic and stuff. He left the fam behind when saphir was born 2 or so decades ago, at the age of 20; lots of dumb shit happened and he regrets it- feels he can’t be forgiven for what he did.

(Pardon the massive info dump and pic spam of this post, I spent most of the day on these yesterday; two more pictures may be on the way)

1. Violette (Violet) Quartz- The princess of the land of fertility and wisdom, Violette is very much dedicated to her own research and education; mostly involving geology and horticulture. When she isn’t dealing with observing the ecosystem of her home, she’s busy with competing against people in the botanty community; specifically Vanessa due to the recent development of poddles. She has grown her own poddle, named Orchid; Violette is quite...careful not to let her near Emet. She can be kind of snarky, when comes to people she doesn’t like; Saphir seems to be the only person she can actually be chill with(may also have a crush on her).

2. Saphir (Sapphire) DeCorbon- Despite apparently being next in line to rule the Land of Oceans, Saphir hardly has time to keep up with her duties; especially since there always seems to be some sort of mess to clean up. Whether it be giant monsters, mechanical abominations running amok; or just dealing with family- she can’t stay still for even a minute. Supposedly, she had been engaged to Prince Igneous the 2nd once; they broke it off because he’s too much of a weeny to stand up for himself when his parents were dicks to Saphir. Past ex aside, she remains on good terms with Rosilyn and the others; Violette is her best friend. She has a brother named Phillip, supposedly they’re twenty years apart; Saphir calls him the old man and often questions her mom of why she doesn’t talk about him.

3a. Rosilyn Crimzion- An active opponent of her family’s and kingdom’s business practices, Rosilyn has grown rather detached to them; mainly due to the fact their weapons and machines pose a colossal threat to the other kingdoms. She often bumps heads with her old Brother, Igneous the 2nd; also believes her niece Anesthesia (a hybrid poddle) to be the spawn of satan. Rosilyn usually likes to try and stop whatever crazy ass shit her parents plan, leading to a lot of awkward dinner conversations. She’s become rather attached to a mystic named Matilda, who often or not; is put in danger because her brother needs her for something; Rosilyn only knows it can’t be good.

3b. Igneous Crimzion the 2nd- Rosilyn’s sickly older brother, he’s in charge of most of the main office affairs since the queen has retired; he was named after his deceased father. This doesn’t stop him from being his mom’s bitch, considering he has to do whatever she says; from paper work to full blown testing of plasma weapons. He tries his best to keep calm and care for his poddle, Anesthesia; who was given to him by one of his doctors as a gesture of goodwill. When he isn’t dealing with work and family, he has to deal with his sister; who’s constantly messing up everything. Igneous was briefly engaged to Saphir, only to be dumped; he couldn’t stop his mom from being a donk. After that, he contracted a mysterious illness, his heart has some dark magic gunk; which the only cure for it is mystic magic.

4. Emerald Verde- Currently the reigning Empress of the Kingdom hidden in the heavens, Emerald shoulders the responsibility of keeping her people and father in line. Having to keep up an ever so elegant and cheerful appearance is hard, especially when her father pretty much babies her; she’d rather be with her pet snake Duchess than suffer this indignity. She takes her job seriously, to the point where she criticizes her brother Lyric; who’s currently traveling the kingdoms. She has a son named Viridian, who she keeps out of the lime light; since she fears he may become a target for the blood thirsty dignitaries she has to deal with. She was married briefly, only to have a divorce; her ex husband left her when their son was born. Emerald can be a bit fickle at times, she usually sets her mind to something and gets it done. She’s currently trying her best to not have a mental breakdown.

5a. Matilda- Simply known as Matilda by her peers, she’s one of two twin mystics said to hold the secrets of the stars; she barely talks and often pauses for long periods of times when she does. She can’t feel emotions and barely shows an sort of facade of having them unlike her twin, probably a learned behavior from her father; the king of shadows. There’s little information on her aside from the fact, she’s a talented painter and apparently has the power to grant wishes along with her twin; Hector. Matilda seems rather distant to everyone, though recently; she has warmed up to Rosilyn after she saved her from being imprisoned by Igneous. She just can’t show it much, due to the whole mystics can’t really feel emotions thing; and Matilda isn’t one to put up performances.

5b. Hector- The biggest donk to ever exist, Hector is one of two magical mystics who can grant wishes; the price for those wishes are quite...steep. Rumor has it, he makes it a regular thing to collect payment in person; taking what is supposedly most precious to his contract at the time. He doesn’t like humans at all, and makes it a point to talk shit about them every time he even thinks about them; much to his sister’s silent annoyance. Hector’s protective of Matilda, to the point of tricking someone into making a deal with him and he altered the “desired” outcome; pretty much passed a sickness off to some poor unsuspecting fool. He doesn’t really feel much in sense of real emotions, like his sister and the rest of the mystics because essentially; they’re just shadows of someone who died. It’s implied Hector cursed Igneous due to a wish Saphir had made in secret; to this day- no one knows what’s going save for Igneous getting sick.
