Just did these over the snow day and had a lot of fun!
I water colored my ocs and used sharpie pens to draw them (not in that order lol)
Igneous , Saphir and Violette were done first. Then, I did hector and Matilda- followed by Milo, Vanessa, Emma and Rosilyn. Pearl ended up being the last of these.
The scanner did a nice job mostly in picking up the colors as I scanned them into my laptop.
loved how everyone one came out color wise!
Hope you have an amazing day!

This was JOHN WAYNE GACY'S most coveted photo.
(At least of the ones he could display)
I always wondered what Rosilyn Carter thought about it after they caught him.
I have a sick sense of curiosity.
This is Tumblr I'm sure I'm in the right place to say these things.
They call me ~Red

Tumblr media
I drew this almost a week ago and decided to post it.
It's of my ocs (from top left to the very bottom) Rosilyn, Violette, Saphir, Matilda and Emerald.
These five girls have been through a lot since they're some of my earliest ocs who've had a lot of revisions since their original debuts back in the deleted da posts.
Collectively, all had multiple retooling- with Emerald and Saphir being the most drastic in designs. Before, their were basically just the same color pallets of Rosilyn- just had diffent shade of blonde and color theme. All but Matilda (well, she had black hair which was ooriginally blond but she was the first hair change at the time) were at some point- some pale chick. The least changed is Rosilyn who only has had a few minor tweaks with Matilda. Violette also has developed slightly more over time.
I wanted to make these ocs (just like any other one) stand out and be recognized without too much trouble. Colors and hair designs alone help set them apart. Also, I just like having fun dressing them up and making them shine uniquely. They'll probably change as I continue to experiment and grow as an artist.
Sorry about infodumping, I just love drawing my ocs and it's easier to talk about them once I've a visual.
These characters belong to me, misskazehana

Uhhh... Possibly the fastest foster fail of my life?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rosie (I keep full naming her using Rosilyn Jane but idk if that will stick) is a husky (mix?) that we and some of the neighbors keep finding wandering around on the street. She's not especially dramatic yet and Littlest Awoo and Monkey adore her.
We are at least fostering her until she's trained and used to her name and chipped, and honestly at this point I'm betting she's gonna stay cause Husbeast has wanted a husky forever and she was in love with and responded to him immediately so.
Bonus Tina 💚😁

Norman Thomas “Turkey” Stearnes
Tumblr media
Norman “Turkey” Stearnes was one of the Negro League Baseball’s (NBL) most feared hitters. Born on May 8, 1901 in Nashville, Tennessee to Will S. and Mary (Everett), Stearnes, his mother was a cook for a private family earning $7 a week and was listed as a widow on the 1910 census. Stearnes had siblings, Louella, Lorenzo, and Annie. He attended Belleview Elementary School and Pearl High School in Nashville and has been described as quiet and unassuming. Believed to have been given the nickname “Turkey” because of his unique running posture, Stearnes claimed the name was attached because he had a potbelly as a child.
Stearnes was unable to continue school after his father died and had to work to help provide for the family. Taking odd jobs such as caretaker for hogs and cows, grocery store worker, wagon driver, and grocery deliver person, he also worked for the Baptist Publishing Board as a janitor and errand runner. Stating that he knew he would not be able to go to college, Stearnes did complete high school in 1922.
Sports being an outlet from school and chores, Stearnes learned to play baseball while attending high school. He began his career in professional baseball in 1920 with the Nashville Giants and then at the age of 22, he traveled north in 1923 and play for the Detroit Stars. Hitting better than .300 in 14 of 19 seasons, collecting six home run titles and leading the league in triples four times, Stearnes is credited with 176 home runs, the all-time NBL record and a .621 career slugging percentage. He played in four east-west all-star games in his 11 seasons with the Detroit Stars.
Winning the Negro Southern League pennant in 1932 and the Negro National League pennant in 1933 while playing with the Chicago American Giants, Stearnes played in a four-team doubleheader at Yankee Stadium in front of 30,000 fans in 1934, which at the time was the largest crowd ever to watch a black baseball event. Despite his success on the field, the Great Depression ended the ability of the Detroit Stars and other teams to pay salaries. Consequently, Stearnes moved around a lot, playing for the New York Lincoln Giants, Chicago American Giants, Philadelphia Stars before retiring in 1942 with the Kansas City Monarchs. Also, during off season (winters) Stearnes worked in a factory owned by Walter Briggs, who also owned the Detroit Tigers. At the time Stearnes was banned from this all-white team because of his race.
In 1946, Stearnes married Nettie Mae Radcliffe, a schoolteacher and niece of Birmingham Black Barons manager, Ted “Double Duty” Radcliffe. Eventually he retired from the Ford Motor Company with a good salary. He lived out the rest of his life comfortably in a house where he paid the mortgage in full without relying on financial help from others.
Norman Thomas “Turkey” Stearnes died from cancer on September 4, 1979 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 78. Buried in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Clinton Township, Macomb County, Michigan, Stearnes was posthumously inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000. His wife, Nettie Mae, was instrumental in his induction. Stearnes has two daughters, Rosilyn (Brown) and Joyce (Thompson).

Why Is Character Design so Hard? Featuring : Red Riding Hood
For my book I was like ooh, Rose Red and Red Riding Hood will be the same. I thought it would be interesting to mix two fairytales and two different characters, and I wanted to see where it went.  But then I realized that I hated that idea. In my head Rose Red and Red Riding Hood had very different major plot points, morals to their stories, and personalities. Rose Red was supposed to be a much more serious character, with much more broad problems and a much bigger setting to live in. Red Riding Hood was supposed to have adventures alone in the woods, but how could she do that with a sister tagging along and probably looking out for her? So they became two different characters.  And now I have to design Red Riding Hood, and oh boy is it difficult because I have so many ideas for what she should look and act like.
Tumblr media
So, I sketched out my first design for her, but I was tired so I made it chibi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then of course I fucked it up in the line art.
Some Notes on her design:
- I like the idea of her always having her hair in a braid, and then when she finally let’s it down, it’s all luscious and rich and everyone’s just blown away. - She’s either going to have bright red hair, auburn, or ...... actually no those are the only options. - She has a little bag tied to her that holds little candies and coins and the like. It also carries the occasional cool stone she’s found in the woods - I don’t know if I want her to look this soft or if I want her to look like she could cut you - I’m not sold on what she’s wearing. I’m still torn between the fanasty with sci fi elements setting, the full on fantasy, or the full on sci fi, so for now, I’m leaving it here.
Other notes:
- I made the decision to mix Red Riding Hood with Beauty from Beauty and the Beast, but fearing too many similarities to my queen Marissa Meyer, Red/Beauty will not be having a romantic main plot, and instead her story will focus on the good that friendship and platonic relationships do for people, and how having a good friend and some truly unconditional love can change change people.  - She smol gorl with big axe
Names I’m Considering:
- Roisin (pronounced : Roe-sheen)  meaning little rose - Crim (Crimson) meaning red - Charlotte meaning free or petite  - Rosilyn meaning soft, mild, tender, and gentle
Feel free to tell me which you like best in the comments, or suggest new ones!!! More updates on her to come!
