Reflection on Sao Paolo '22
After going bollocks last night, i can think more clearly. Although i wanted lewis to win(for the streak, for Brasil, for all the times he stopped himself from destroying the car) i'm still happy george got his win. It has been a long time coming and although luck played its part, he still made nearly no mistakes and got the win.
Which got me thinking: why was it so upsetting to see hamilton not win?
I feel like(for me at least) i know that if he doesn't get that win this season all his achievements will be undermined. And even though russell and hamilton do not view each other as rivals, the media and the haters do and for every position hamilton takes under russell he will be seen as inferior to him. People have always been quick to shove lewis hamilton's wins and achievements under the bus so i think this is why everyone is acting this way.
I also do not agree with people saying there should've been team orders: we literally saw on the paddock what team orders does to a team. And if they did get team orders than people would've said that lewis wouldn't be able to take over george or lewis is favored heavily etc-it would've been a lose-lose situation either way. Hamilton, made it clear that he was going to be putting the team first even before the race during the interviews and at the end he either chose to not fight russell or was not able to fight him because of the damage to his car. Yes it's upsetting, and heart breaking, and you will see me screaming crying throwing up when it fully settles in that the streak is gone, but what's done is done.
Now onto the juicier parts of the race:
I feel like out of the two teams, Ferrari's teammates were a lot more normal, meaning i can see why charles wanted carlos to let him pass through, but i also understand why carlos didn't let him. Sure, a bit of a dick move, but Carlos has been going through it for weeks, and this was clearly not charles' race: it was carlos' right.
Now, the situation is a bit different with rbr. Perez was ahead of verstappen, perez actually had a chance of a podium at some point, perez(like leclerc) needed those points, and most importantly, perez let go of his position under the promise of verstappen giving it back were he not able to take over alonso. Max was not able to take over alonso. He did not give his place back, even though he definitely didn't need the points, and if one were to look at his explanations, you could say that it was done for some revenge.
It was extremely childish and petty. That was what verstappen was this weekend: childish, petty and fucking awful. He needed to show some courtesy, hell, he just needed to give perez his rightful place back, but he chose to pull some weird move to what? What was the reason?
Even his interview about the touch with hamilton baffled me. The way he expected hamilton to give way when it was hamilton's space, the way he openly admitted that he went for the crash is just. Not it. The way he admitted that he knew he wasn't going to win, and "it didn't matter to him anyway" and he knew he costed hamilton a race win is just very? Asshole behaviour. I know these men do not owe us any manners, i know for some people these moves are the whole point of the sport, but having someone who openly admits that he is willing to crash into someone when he doesn't think he's going to win and the points do not have any value to him anymore is just. Very dangerous. Anyways i know nothing is going to be done but it makes me very anxious for AD 22 since max has proven that he is willing to take hamilton out if hamilton does not behave as max wants him to-or just to take any chance of a race win away from hamilton.

Daniel Ricciardo tries MMA with former UFC champion Charles Oliveira
Hope this isn’t Daniel Ricciardo’s next career move! Aussie F1 outcast tries his hand at MMA as he trains with former UFC world champ Charles Oliveira By Ollie Lewis For Daily Mail Australia Published: 12:15 GMT, 11 November 2022 | Updated: 12:15 GMT, 11 November 2022 Daniel Ricciardo is out of a job at the end of the Formula One season but it's unlikely he'll move from the race track to the octagon after a training session with UFC star Charles Oliveira.  The Australian has just two races left to complete before he leaves McLaren, with the team choosing to terminate his deal a year early amid a run of poor results throughout 2022.  Ricciardo, 33, has been strongly linked with a reserve driver position at Mercedes and Red Bull, with his options for a place on the grid limited, but he is yet to commit to a deal. Daniel Ricciardo and Charles Oliveira linked up for a training session in Brazil this week The Formula One star (left) and former UFC champion (right) threw on the gloves together Oliveira took Ricciardo through a workout and he was seen throwing punches and kicks And he will know for sure that a career in mixed martial arts is not a possibility after a training session with former lightweight champion Oliveira. Ricciardo met the jiu-jitsu specialist ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paolo, visiting Oliveira's gym before being handed a pair of gloves by the UFC star. The Australian was seen doing some padwork and throwing kicks towards the Brazilian, before they posed for photos at the end of the session and exchanged gifts. Oliveira was given an orange NFL-style jersey with 'Ricciardo 3' on the back, while the lightweight star returned a pair of UFC gloves. Ricciardo joked that he is unlikely to take up a fighting career when his McLaren deal ends The Brazilian is licking his wounds after he suffered defeat by Islam Makhachev in their lightweight title fight at UFC 280 last month, in which the Dagestani submitted him in the second round.  As for Ricciardo, he was in good spirits after the meet-up, but joked that he won't be fighting any time soon. 'It was a privilege,' he said. 'Just for him to take the time to show me some drills and to come into that gym is really nice. 'I'm not very good as a fighter! I love all sports but I respect mixed martial artists. For me they are at the top of all sports and it was really a pleasure.' Can Lewis Hamilton secure his first win for the season in Sao Paolo?
Can Lewis Hamilton secure his first win for the season in Sao Paolo?
Hamilton has yet to have won a race in 2022 (Picture: Getty Images) Lewis Hamilton has two more chances to end his winless season, and perhaps the best chance lies in Sao Paulo, the circuit at which he won his first world championship in 2008 and three Brazilian grands prix (2016, 2018, 2021) thereafter. The Briton excelled here last year having started the weekend at the back of the pack.…
