party outfit cohesion

to unify the group, i purposefully made it so that their outfits all have one piece that shares colors with a different member (ex. mike's jacket is the same color as lucas's pants, max's jacket is the same color as el's jeans, etc.)

the party swap clothes with each other occasionally (el swaps all the time) - sometimes they do it on purpose, sometimes on accident

the boys all share socks and belts with each other + the girls share pants

party dynamics

party started off with just the boys -> el and max join later

very tight knit group, all love each other - max's addition was the most volatile change and did not start off well

group roles are established (still trying to figure out the story, but i do know how each party member fits within the group)

regarding romance atp in the story -> lumax are in an "its complicated" stage (kissed once and don't know what to do ab it) and byler are tentative fwb with a strained friendship bc of it (up to interpretation for what they get up to)

--- other notes: i'm doing a poll out of curiosity's sake tbh - i want to know what you guys are interested in when im making this au! the results of the poll aren't necessarily what i'll post next since i've been making some character sheets for the party to establish how they act with their personalities, but either way, it'll be interesting to see the results. every option on the poll are things that i'm looking to explore anyways so this is really just for me to gauge interest :)

He’d be the sweetest man alive giggling, taking you on picnics, movie “dates” and taking you out to dinner, basically treating you as his partner. But that’s his love language.

Quackity

Very clingy and protective around you, clinging to you like there’s no tomorrow, he’d be very flirty and like UwU around you. He’d be so giggly with a smile around you. He’d probably call you nicknames and it’d be adorable. His hands would never leave yours, or you in general. Wether it be a hand on your hip, waist, hand, shoulders, or thighs, he’d always have his hands somewhere on you.

Wilbur

Very giggly, he has his iconic stretched out smile. He’d flirt with you, but it’d be very subtle, like “your very pretty today Y/n.” And sometimes he’d run up to you pick you up then spin you around, then hugging you like there’s no tomorrow, saying stuff like “oh y/n, my dearest y/n”. He’d let you rest your head on his chest while you sit in his lap, even if it’s uncomfortable for him.

Schlatt

He needs physical touch. He just does. Holding your hand, or your waist in habit when you two are talking to someone. He’d buy you anything you could ever want, he’d even try to make you some gifts, they were sloppy but, who are you to judge? He’d have his smug face when kissing your hand, literally smiling so wide it’s unsettling.

Ted

He’s similar to Schlatt but not similar enough for there actions to be the same. He’d be so nice with you, cuddling you if you sat next him, pressing a kiss to your forehead. He’d be so giggly with you, poking fun at you. Literally buys you so many snacks.

Charlie

He’d be serious but still his silly self. Cuddling you even when your standing up. He’d have his hands on your waist, and his face buried in your neck, resting on your shoulder. Buying silly little gadgets for you. Like little toys. He’d eventually get comfortable enough to kiss your hand. He’d be so giggly after it to 😭😭

concept designs for the zombie apocalypse au i'm working on - pt. 1 (small au details under the cut regarding their designs)

--- mike's design

always wears his bomber jacket (normally decorated with pins) - was given to him by nancy when he was ten and he grew into it

signature weapon is a machete - likes its versatility + has terrible aim with guns: the only one he can kind of use is a shotgun, but he rarely uses it because the kickback fucks with his shoulder

will's design

always wears a long sleeve around his waist "just in case" (normally his military jacket or a flannel)

watch was given to him by jonathan when he was ten

signature weapon is a hunting rifle - is the second best with guns after lucas + follows the st canon of him using a rifle in s1e1

el's design

wardrobe always consists of one thing from a different party member (ex. gray hoodie is actually mike's, next day she wears a lucas jacket or a will flannel, etc.) it makes her feel safe :'D

doesn't have a signature weapon + is very versatile - just tends to use whatever's on hand at times or the environment around her

other notes: i fucking love apocalypse shit :P i'm still working on the whole outline of course, but if you're wondering, the infection i'm imagining would be a mix between days gone + l4d + a smidgen of tlou while the world is similar to tlou and a little of twd. i'll include some upside down stuff with the infection to make it feel like st :D i'm currently planning where i want this universe to go, with backstories and relationship dynamics between the entire party - byler will be the main romantic relationship, but i'll also dedicate some time to lumax too. however, the biggest theme surrounding this au is found family for me, so while romance will still be important, i want to put a lot of focus on the entire group's dynamic as a whole!

ooh!! well, i havent listened to a lot of TOP in a while, so i don't have many recommendations there unfortunately :'] but for other slow, soft songs, let's see... i'll put them under a cut with all my explanations, but ☀️ "See The Day" by The Altogether (Volition song!), 🍃 "Rounds" by The Oh Hellos (Shivers song!), 🦋 "Would You Be So Kind" by dodie (general skills song, Suggestion primarily!) are the best contenders!

Pretty sure you've seen it already, but from a different ask, i recommend "Almost (Sweet Music)" by Hozier! (and "Like Real People Do" if you want to cry and yearn with me, though my DE ideas for it are very loose hkjhg) these are slow ones i like hkjhg <3

🦋 "Would You Be So Kind?" by dodie BUT SPECIFICALLY THIS VERSION, because i love everyone's crowded but earnest vibes. this one is led by Suggestion ("oooh you wanna fall in love with us so bad right? right???") and makes me grin, you GOTTA imagine all of the skills squished together in the front of Harry's brain all trying different tactics to get Kim to fall in love with them, (rhetoric: "I HAVE A QUESTION..." ency: "let's write a story! be in my book!") at 2:35, after all the skills singing together loudly, it's just Harry himself singing to Kim, with all the skills slowly backing him up. the ending is all of them fucking ECSTATIC celebrating when harry finally kisses kim hkjhg jesus this'd be so cute hold on i have to go plan this out i have so many thoughts hkjdh

"Seven" by Sleeping at Last would be a sweet Reaction Speed song (ironic that im adding react speed to a list of soft, slow songs though hkjgh) "I'm ready for whatever comes next!" <3 Reaction Speed is a fast, restless little fella who can't sit still for long, always loves moving, acting, doing. he's like the personification of a verb hkjhg <3 i would also accept an interpretation for echem <3

"Cosmos" by Jawbreaker Reunion is a song that The Furies recently suggested to me as a jean song and it's so right for that, very soft and i like it very much :'] (you should also ask The Furies if you want to, it's much more musically inclined than me, i feel hkjhg <3)
