A recurring nightmare materializes before Bucky’s eyes.

In most of his dreams, Bucky is a young man falling from a train and crashing into crisp snow, a heavy thud, then haunting silence. In the rest of those dreams, Sam plummets to earth, wingless, then breaks. He tells himself often that they’re only dreams, that Sam is capable and skilled far beyond any combat-abled civilian he’s ever known. He reminds himself each time Sam’s in a fight that the suit is more than sufficient protection, that every fiber of vibranium absorbs impact and directs it away from Sam. Away. That had been his first and foremost request to Ayo. Always away.

But Sam’s not wearing vibranium today.

The enforced intimacy is a clever device, poor Sam having both arms broken so he can't do anything for himself. Bucky being a good caretaker, and the both of them relaxing and letting the slow burn progress.

Stupid lil question:

On Ao3 and here I only see Bucky and Sam’s ship name as WinterFalcon, Sam/Bucky, or Sam x Bucky. It’s possible that I’m just not paying attention. I’m sentient yes but I never said I take in all the information around me.

Because Sam’s name begins with an s, his causal first name ship name with Bucky would be Stucky. But it can’t be because that’s Steve and Bucky’s. And now that Sam has taken on his Captain America role in the MCU his hero ship name with Bucky would be WinterShield, but it can’t be that since that’s Steve and Bucky’s.

So my question is what is Sam and Bucky’s updated ship name? Or are we sticking with WinterFalcon?

I don’t think we should since Sam is now Captain America. I suggest their casual to be “Bam” -cause obvious reasons and it’s cute- and their hero one to be “CaptainWinter” or we go with Bucky’s new title of White Wolf and it could be “WolfShield.” OR my fav idea is “WinterWings.”

Pls tell me if I just haven’t been paying attention and they do have a ship name besides WinterFalcon.

The Avengers 2012 era was the best time ever in the fandom

Thor loves pop tarts, Clint lived in the vents, Bruce and Tony did science together, Steve was the mom friend of the team and did art in his free time, Natasha was cool aunt of the team, Loki was there too and a bunch of other characters like Peter, Sam, Bucky, Vision and Wanda all lived in the Avengers tower together

It was a much simpler time where everyone in the fandom was chill and having fun together
