maybe it's just the ritalin. yeah - that has to be it. because the only other possible explanation he can piece together in the rubble of his rational mind is that sebastian messer, his best friend, his ride or die since the ninth grade and partner in crime until he's too old to outrun the authorities, turns him on.

and that reality is a lot harder to face than an untimely hard-on.
