It was only supposed to be a short peck. Truly. Nothing more than 3 seconds at most of your boyfriend’s lips on yours. Then you’d both go back to studying. You had a big test coming up, and Sakuya was behind on his work as it was. It was so simple to just not get distracted. 

But after that first kiss you watched as Sakuya’s eyebrows furrowed and his tongue swiftly ducked out to swipe across his bottom lip. A soft pink bloomed on his cheeks as his adam’s apple bobbed down slightly. His left hand was still resting on your cheek while his right fiddled with the collar of your sweater. 

“Is that cherry flavoured?” 

You were speechless for a second, not sure what he was even referring to. It didn’t click until he was leaning back in to get another taste— he was trying to guess the flavour of your lip balm… by kissing it off your lips.

“Or strawberry?” He guessed again, his face twisted into the cutest expression of concentration. 

“Both, actually.” You smiled at his confusion before clarifying, “It’s mixed berry.” 

“Cherries aren’t berries, though.” He mumbled, not truly pressed about the false advertising, as he leaned in once again before you could comment back. 

You were quick to realise that the chances of getting anything productive done was slowly disappearing with each kiss Sakuya landed. Not that you could truly be upset about it. Maybe your future self would want to kill you for pulling him closer and kissing him harder, but your current self was far too busy drowning in the taste of his lips to worry about the Science test you would inevitably tank. 

You’d be sure to offer the spare chapstick that had come in the pack of 2 to Saku later, as you knew he loved sweetly flavoured cosmetics just as much as you. In the same way you shared your jewelry or nail polish with him, it was only natural that he would become obsessed with whatever flavour your lip balm was and want it for himself. He made your heart melt like that.

forever i wished upon a star ::

astronomy. something about astronomy has always been calling your name. you've always been interested in it, i mean who isnt curious about outerspace? you'd have to be insane not to wonder whats out there, right? or maybe youre just too much of a nerd like your friends say..

everynight you would stargaze on the top of your roof, using it as a stress reliever while listening to your favourite songs and drawing sketches of different planets, stars, galaxies, anything that comes to your mind that day.

2:47am

coming down from your roof, stepping into your room from the window. forgetting to close the window behind you. laying on your bed, lights off, window open with the wind blowing your curtains. with the window open, its hard to fall asleep. the cold air seeping into your room, but being too lazy to get up and close it. slowly closing your eyes adjusting to the cold room, a neon green colour invades your room. instantly opening your eyes and seeing the prettiest green ever suddenly wakes you up.

running to your window, you spot a bright neon green star in the sky. looking through your telescope immediatly, getting a closer look. your heart beats faster, never in your life have you ever seen a pretty star like this one. running back to your bedside table to grab your phone to snap a picture of it, yet once you come back to your window sill, its gone..? the star just.. disappeared

how can you go to sleep after that? while the star is still fresh in your mind, you start to sketch what the star looked like. walking back to your bed sketch book and coloured pencils in your hand, getting comfortable in your sheets. eventually passing out with an unfinished drawing of that star you saw that night.

its been a week since that event happened and you cant stop thinking of it. ever since that day youve been wishing everynight looking up at the stars. 'please show me that star once more' you want to know if what you saw was real, if you were just so tired you started imagining things.

because that morning you woke up, you immediatly ran to turn on your computer searching for neon green star spottings, yet nothing showed up. only fake stock images.

you sit on the bench that you always sit on daily while waiting for the train that takes you back home after your cram school. you were let out early. 15 minutes till the train comes, its cold too. to pass time you pull out your sketchbook. flipping through the sketches of all the green stars youve drawn, you begin to skecth it again. you want to sketch a drawing similar to what you saw.

as your minding your own buisness, you feel a pair of eyes on you over your shoulder. turning around you see this guy, munching on bread staring at your drawing with wide eyes. he looks about your age, but why does he look like he jjst saw a ghost??

"that green star.. you saw that too??" he says with an unexpected deep voice "no way. did you see this as well?!" you stand up excitedly looking at him right in the eyes

"yeah, ive been searching online for any clues on what i saw.. i thought i was the only one" the boy replies sloghtly smiling

you reach out your hand to him "im y/n! im so happy to meet someone who saw it too!"

"im fujinaga sakuya" the boy takes your hand, and sits down on the bench as you follow.

"i tried to take a picture of the star but jist as soon as i picked up my phone it was gone" sakuya says with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"me too! thats why im drawing it because i domt ever want to forget that moment. ever since i saw that ive been wishing too see ot again"

"i hope that wish comes true for the both of us," sakuya says looking at your sketchbook. silence falls with the both of you sitting beside eachother on the bench on the cold. you start flipping through thr pages silently showing him all the skecthes you drew throughout the week. looking at his face for a reacyion he just lets out a little laugh.

the train comes and you both get on. its so warm on the train that you start to feel itchy from how cold it was outside. sakuya sits down and invites you to sit beside him.

the two of you talk about the star you saw that night, but eventually the conversation turns into getting to know eachother. his name is fujinaga sakuya, hes 16. he loves soccer, basketball, and also is interested in astronomy. time moves by so quick you dont even realize you miss you stop. ringing the bell to be let off at the next stop, you get up but he grabs your hand. looking down at the boy whos still seated, you see he's holding out his phone.

"y/n.. uhh.. can i have your phone number?" he shyly asks. you smile to him grabbing his phone and putting your number into it. giving his phine back you wave bye at him while stepping off the train. hes waving back and smiling.

when he mentioned he was interested in astronomy, your heart started beating faster. youve never met someone who liked the same stuff as you, not only that. but hes also really attractive and kind.

you step into your home, taking of you coat and boots, your mom welcoming you back and offering you dinner. after eating you get ready for bed and fall asleep.

tge next day you had just got gotten home from school, getting ready for bed you get a notification from your phone. thibking its one of your friends asking help for the homework you sigh, turning on your phone only to see a text from.. fujinaga?!

sakuya got to his shared dorm around 8:30pm, taking off his backpack and slipping off his shoes running into the living room like the happiest child ever. "guys you will never guess what happened to me today" sakuya says while 5 boys turn their attention from the tv to him

"i talked to this girl-" sakuya is cut off from his roomates cheering for him. really? he didnt even get to finish his sentence but theyre cheering for him like he just accomplished the hardest thing ever

"our saku-chan finally getting a girlfriend?" riku jokes nudging the youngers arm

sakuya blushes at the thought of the girl being his. "yeab so what? i talked to a girl and you guys didnt. i know youre all jealous."

the room goes dead silent. the first to break the silence is sion laughing follwed by the others. sakuya jist ignores their teasing and goes to his room to get ready for bed.

the next dayduring rheir shared dinner sakuya asks for advixe on how to strike a conversation with the girl. "just ask her to go to that bakery you always go to or sometbinf" yushi suggests

"hyung youre so smart!" sakuya says pulling out his phone and starts texting away. naturally the 5 boys gathering around him watching the conversation between him and the girl

"YOOO SHE SENT A HAND HEART SAKU SHE LIKES YOU" Riku says slapping sakus shoulder "orrr she could just be nice, but i doubt that" ryo adds on

"our little sakuya has a date tomorrow" daeyoung says hugging the younger boy. sakuya smiling to himself as his face flushes thinking of getting to see her again.

sakuya hurriedly goes to his room to try and get some good sleep so he can be refreshed and full of energy for tomorrow.

its been 2 months since youve met sakuya and youve been hanging out with him very often. youd be lying to yourself if you said you didnt like him. everytime he looks at you with those eyes you feel you heart beat faster, cheeks flushing red. whenver he asked why you were red you would jist say its from the cold. but you didnt know that he knew it was because of him, i mean it was already spring. shouldnt you be saying its too hot? sakuya was just waiting for the perfect time to tell you what he truly felt about you.

even thiugh he knew you liked him because youre not so good at hiding your feelings, deep down, he thought maybe you were just being nice like what ryo said when he first asked for advice.

you both saw that green star on febuary 7th. he wantes to confess to you april 7th. that day also happened to be your birthday.

"soo whens your birthday?" sakuya asks while tilting his head at you. you stop eating your food to reply "its april 7th" sakuyas mouth is wide open "REALLY??" sakuya says shocked "yeah why?" you slightly laugh at his cuteness

"oh.. nothing, its just next week" he awkwardly laughs realizing his actions were too weird "are you doing anything that day?" he asks. "yeah im going bowling with my friends!" you reply smiling like an idiot

sakuya reaches his hands across the table and holds yours. "what about after that?" you feel your face heat up

"i wanna see you on your birthday" sakuya boldly says

"w-we'll most likely be done after 7ish.." you say trying not to move, you want to hide away from this situation. as much as you like it, its embarassing

"okay cant wait to celebrate your birthday at 7:30pm jist the two of us" sakuya says while letting go of your hands to finish his bread.

the rest of the dinner with him goes well, you trying to forget what hapoened to calm your heart down.

you wake up in a good mood, i mean its your birthday and you have fun plans for today. you get ready, trying extra hard to look good today. not only for the amount of pictures youre gonna take today, but also for.. sakuya.

as the time gets closer to 7:30 your heart beats faster. god you really cant think of sakuya without blushing and almost looking like a fool in love.

he told you that he wanted to celebrate your birthdah togetger in your house, and you agreed. its currently 7:15. waiting for him, you touch up your makeup and hair, also cleaning uo your room a little.

*ding dong* you hear the doorbell from the front door. you told your mom not to asnwer the door if someone knocked because you told her your friend was coming over. your mom makes raises an eyebrow at you because you normally never say that to her, so she assumes ots a boy. which she was righr when she hears you greet a deep voice boy. respecting your privacy she just stays in the living room.

"hi y/n" sakuya says stepping into your house holding a bag of sweefs from wishs bakery and a present

"hi saku! omg you didnt have tk get me a present" you shyly say

"its your birthday of course i had to" he says taking off his shoes

"thank you.. come on lets go to my room?" sakuya nods at your request. his heart beating knowing hes about to confess his feelings.

"so this is my room!" sakuya looks around, he knew he liked the right girl but seeing your room made his feelings grow even more. he can tell your serious about astronomy.

you both settle into your room, ypu sit on you bed patting the spot beside you which he quickly takes. you both share the sweets he bought, laughing, making jokes and talking like yoh always do.

"wanna see your present?" sakuya gets uo and walks towards yohr desk to pick his present up.

you nod as he gives you the box. you start to open it feeling his eyes on you. a smile instanly lighting up your face as you pull out this pretty milky way snow globe, also a cute teddy bear hokding a heart. you hug sakuya thanking him for the gift.

"open the heart insidd the teddy bear" he says pulljng awat from the hug. listening to what he said, you open the heart. the heart read out

'I think I fell for you, so it’s only fair that you pick me up.'

"saku.. what?" you say looking up at him, face red.

"y/n, ever since that first day i saw you drawing a picture of that green star, i couldnt get you off my mind. i thought about- no i still think about you everyday, how you make me laugh, youre so pretty, smart, kind and.. i ended up falling in love with you. i love you y/n. can i be your boyfriend..?" sakuya says struggling to maintain eye contact, face heating up. you break into tears hugging him.

"yes of course, i wanna be your girlfriend sakuya. i love you too" sakuya hides his face in the crook of your neck and smiles to himself.

"youre the best person that has ever walked into my life" he whispers still hugging you. you break the hug to look at his face. you cant believe it. he's yours? the boy youve liked and known for 2 months confessed to you on your birthday.

"can i kiss you?" you swear you couldve died in that moment. you silently nod not wanting to speak jist incase if you stuttered too much, or jist having your voice crack

he slowly inches his face closer. your lips meeting, his hand still on your face but his other dropping to lay on your lower back. you wrao you arms around his neck. the kiss only lasfed a couple of seconds but after he pulled away from the kiss you hide your face in his chest. you love him so much.

the first time you notice it, you’re not even looking for it. you’re sitting in that quiet corner of the café, the one with the mismatched chairs and the table that’s always just a little too wobbly.

he’s across from you, happily enjoying his bread as his fingers reach up to brush his lips to wipe the crumbs every now and then.

there’s something different about him, you feel it before you can exactly pinpoint it.

it isn’t until the sunlight hits just right that you see it. the loop of his belt catches the glint, and there it is.

a single lego keychain. a collection of tiny blocks that were supposed to be you, hanging there.

you almost don’t recognize it at first, too caught up in the way he always seems to exist in his own world when he’s in the presence of bread, like nothing else matters the but the grain in front of him.

it’s only then that you realize what it is.

the keychain you swapped with him, only a few weeks ago.

the same one you have of him, tucked safely onto your own bag. yours hangs quietly, always there, dangling lightly.

but his, the one he has of you, isn’t with the rest of his keychains, the ones that jangle off his backpack, getting lost through the warmth of his life.

you nod, warmth spreading in your chest. he always had a way of making the smallest things feel important.

the lego wasn’t just a keychain — it was a piece of you both, frozen in time, something neither of you can let go of.

now, every time you see him, you look for lego you. you’ll always find it — the tiniest splash of yellow hanging from his belt loop, and somedays, his wallet.

I got busy briefly looking for a second job, but luckily I got one now, this does mean that on certain days I can't work on writing but don't worry since I still have most of the week available. Sakuya is elegant, graceful, and caring. Having her as your s/o means you never really have to worry about any household chores or tasks since her profession is dealing with them after all. Initially, Sakuya is tense and awkward since she struggles to relax or unwind around you, and she never really does much with her time besides serving her mistress. Sakuya needed some time to adjust to you, to be more relaxed, and to learn how to express her emotions. This doesn’t necessarily mean she is aloof or clueless, but more anxious and insecure, but you’ll never notice this with her since she learned to hide most of her emotions to appear more professional and perfect. Sakuya prides herself on her abilities and skills as the perfect maid and servant, and she will often try to impress you with her cooking or tea/coffee when she is making lunch or dinner for you. 

Sakuya doesn’t change that much at first when dating you, although now you may see her trying out new hobbies and such since she changed her schedule to have more time to herself and more time with you. Sakuya is initially more reserved and flustered by affection during the early stages of the relationship; simple handholding, hugs, or even a small kiss on the cheek is enough to get her flustered, but with enough time she will start initiating most of the affection by holding your hand, kissing you, or just sitting next to you while the two of you relax. Once she becomes more comfortable with affection, she will usually rest on your shoulder and let you rest your head on her lap since she wants to make sure you’re comfortable and relax occasionally. It should be noted that something that does help her feel relaxed or comfortable is seeing you happy or satisfied; usually, she gives you some tea or coffee or even cooks you a meal or snack, and it could be after a long day, and just seeing you smile from getting a drink or snack will instantly restore her energy, and it’s very easy to notice she gets all bubbly even with people around, which you usually only see when the two of you are alone at home.

Sakuya is someone who, like many others in Gensokyo, doesn’t mind if you’re human or a Youkai. Part of her expected her s/o (if she ever had one) to be a Youkai; since she can manipulate time, she wasn’t too concerned about becoming old since she could just reverse her age again, so the relationship wouldn’t end tragically because you would outlive her. But if you’re a human, then she doesn’t mind since she is a human too, and she can use her power to keep you alive as well and reverse your aging. If you’re a human and don’t know any magic or spell cards, then she’ll ask Patchouil or Marisa for some type of artifact or item that you can use to keep yourself safe and protected since she also still needs to fulfill her duty to her mistress. She loves you; she truly does, but at the same time she wants to remain loyal to Remilia since she has done so much for her in her life.

Remilia is someone who won’t necessarily interfere with the relationship if she doesn’t approve of you, but she will slightly voice her discontent. She is mature enough to not make a scene; even if she doesn’t agree with Sakuya’s choice, she’ll still respect Sakuya’s choice since she is her person, servant or not. Although it should be noted that Remillia isn’t someone who demands you be the best possible fit, as long as you’re loving to Sakuya and are respectful to her and the other residents of the mansion, then Remillia will make an effort to know you and understand you; even if the two of you don’t necessarily get along or aren’t the best friends, she’ll still respect you if you’re a great s/o for Sakuya.

Sakuya at home is honestly the best thing ever; the house is clean, the food is amazing, and she is always willing to make some tea for the both of you after a long day of work to unwind. When the two of you are alone, Sakuya will usually cuddle with you in bed or on a couch and just relax or read a book with you, or if you’re from the outside, ask you about some of the stuff you brought with you or explain whatever items she bought from Rinnosuke. Sakuya will be kind of needy at home, wanting to cuddle and relax. If you show her any affection or just lie down and pamper her, she will be in love. Sakuya is so stressed out, and she just wants to be loved by someone else and just wants to put her legs up and be given some attention by someone else, especially you since you know her favorite teas, coffees, and snacks. Sakuya is honestly one of the best girlfriends you can ask for since she is gentle and loving at every turn and is always patient with you on everything. Sakuya will always be loyal to you and will protect you with her life.

Patchouli

.Patchouli is initially cold and distant during the beginning of the relationship and when you first start interacting with each other. Patchouli mostly wanted to focus on her studies and keeping the library in order; not only did she enjoy studying magic, both spell cards and Wu Xing, She also liked looking into various topics such as Gensokyo’s history and any information about the outside world. One of the best ways to get along with her and build a relationship is to ask her about the knowledge and any magic she has learned. Patchouli will be over the moon if she has someone to share her knowledge and info with. Patchouli LOVES to talk about all of her information and knowledge with you, and she is grateful that you’re willing to listen to her ramble about stuff and that you asked her. 

Patchouli often prefers to cuddle with you instead of doing anything physical because of her weaker body and her asthma. Yeah, Patchouli doesn’t like doing that; it demands she move around and be active for any period, not just because of her body and asthma, but also because she just doesn’t like any physical activities. Patchouli will only move around or from her spot at the library because she wants to cuddle or because you asked her to relax. 

Most days with her are spent at the library, organizing books, discussing magic, or reading together. Patchouli often loves the silence and calm atmosphere of the library since it allows her to focus on whatever she is busy doing (except when a certain magician is causing havoc). She often feels more at peace and comfortable than usual, especially if you have a more private spot and decide to cuddle. Being at the library at any time, you will eventually meet Koakuma. Koakuma is very supportive of your guy’s relationship and will often tease both of you, especially if she catches you cuddling or being romantic.

.Chances are you will most likely become concerned with Patchouli’s health after some time. Patchouli is many things, but she is also decently stubborn as a person, and it will take some time and a few attempts to convince her to take more care of her body, especially eating better and having a better diet. Still, you can get her to start changing. Patchouli always usually ate whatever was most convenient or what Sakuya made since she tries to avoid anything that takes time away from her studies, so don’t expect her to be good at cooking or know too much about cooking. Once you start introducing more vegetables and fruits into her diet and trying to get her to walk around somewhat to improve her physical health, Patchouli will begin to see some improvements in her health, but sadly her progress is difficult because of her asthma. 

Spending time outside the library usually means relaxing in the gardens around the mansion that Meiling and Sakuya have maintained. The gardens outside of the mansion are traditionally the perfect place for relaxing, especially with Patchouli since she usually prefers to lean against and doze off with you; the favorite time for her to enter the garden is during the night, although sometimes that means she has to deal with Remillia briefly. Not to say that she hates dealing with her; she is a close friend, but sometimes she enjoys some silence with you.

.Patchouli is initially cold; she is cold to most of the people she first meets since she assumes they have no interest in magic, but with more time and effort, she shows who she is. Patchouli is truly just a magician with a love for magic and knowledge and desires someone to share her treasure trove of knowledge with, and that’s where you come in. You won her heart, and now she is grateful for meeting you. Patchouli wants to spend as much time as possible with you, either in the library or just relaxing, and with her now making an effort to improve her physical health, she now has more time to spend with you. Although she could use her magic, she is now saving that for you so the both of you can stay together for as long as possible.

sion thinks he is slick - nonchalant when it comes to his jealousy. but mans is literally as transparent as a glass door. he doesn't get jealous easily but when he does, he is definitely the type to try and keep his cool when there are others around. with an emphasis on 'try'. depending on the situation and the people involved, definitely has different ways of handling - showing his jealousy. let's say it's something involving his members, something silly as the maknaes claiming all your attention even though sion himself wants to spend time with you as well. he knows you love his younger brothers and just want to take care of them but he cannot help the sort of heaviness that he feels. will definitely first try to just get said members to leave you alone and find someone else to play. if it doesn't work, will sigh out loud and make it very obvious that he is annoyed and almost makes it awkward for the other party involved, making the atmosphere in the room very.. tense. enough for his members to leave you alone.

jealous sion in public is a different story tho, will have his hands on you the second he sees someone else looking at you a bit too long. hand on your lower back, holding your hand in a tight grip as if he was scared you would run off (chill sion) gets super clingy, back hugging you while lowkey glaring at the other person. will never admit that he is jealous tho. brushes it off as soon as he feels like the coast is clear. will play it off as a joke because he will never voice out that he feels jealous, thinks it's a bit childish especially because he knows you are in a very happy and healthy relationship together. even when you tell him it's ok to be jealous as long as he communicates his worries with you, he will still act as if he was never jealous in the first place. will shoot you his famous (pretty) smile while pretending to be super chill and unbothered, quietly giggling to himself as well because both you and him know his little ego would not survive the dent it would make.

you love him nonetheless tho, you lowkey think it's cute when he gets jealous. he will never cross a line especially not when it comes to you. you are his person and he just doesn't want to lose you.

riku is the silent one. silent with expressing his feelings with words tho.. not his facial expressions. won't full on glare at others like sion would, but yk his typical face expression when he puffs up his cheeks and just silently watches his surroundings? yup, that would be him. others might not see that he is jealous but you know your bf better than anyone else, so you can immediately tell when he feels 'uncomfortable' because of someone or something you do. if he would be watching the scene unfold from a distance, he wil pull his 'puffy cheeks - big doe eyes' while fidgeting with his own fingers. just silently hoping you would cut of your conversation with the person that was being a bit too handsy to his liking. but if he was next to you, he would be clinging onto you but at the same time trying to make it seem like he was oh so interested in that wonderful color on the wall. let's say you ran into an old friend or you, being the social butterfly you, get in a fun conversation with someone at a party (or any other social gathering) riku would be standing next to you, arms linked in yours, playing with your fingers or the fabric of your shirt. just waiting for you to focus your attention on him again.

i just don't see riku as an 'childish' or 'unreasonable' jealous person. he trusts you and he knows you won't ever do something to purposely make him jealous, he just doesn't know how to act whenever something happens. confuses jealousy with uncomfortable situations. rather than pure jealousy, riku feels uncomfortable with the thought of someone being too close - touchy with you. not always the most confident especially not because he still thinks you are way too pretty and perfect for him so he might just feel a bit intimidated and exposed to something like jealousy. unsure how to bring it up to you he often just brushes it off to avoid upsetting you with his feelings. he is just in need of your reassurance and affection to calm himself down again. so please, give him the biggest hug ever. he is just so in love with you and needs you to show him you are just as head over heels for him to realize his jealousy is not something to overthink about.

토쿠노 유우시 - tokuno yushi ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆

yushi is a little mixture of a lot of different things. depending on the reason behind his jealousy he might act differently. at times, he just feels 'intimidated' by the other person and would be keep quiet and to himself and just see which way the cat jumps. but at other moments; yushi will get super touchy and clingy, with you still unaware of the other person, but soon enough you get the memo of what's going on. yushi is never one to back down from a little pda but when he gets jealous and all he wants is the other person to take his preying eyes off of you; he will not averse to show that you are his. but as soon as the situation has passed, his jealousy will be gone almost as quick as it came in the first place.

but if it's something that involves one of his members he might get vocal in terms of calling out his members and just straight up telling them to leave you alone. quick to jump in as soon as he sees something not to his liking. might come off as an attack on the other person but he just simply can't always control himself when it comes to you. but on the contrary let's say it's sion that for whatever reason got yushi in a battle with his inner demons, he won't be so confident or quick to talk back. not because he is scared of sion, not at all, but he looks up to him as a big brother and somehow cannot bring himself to call out sion regarding such things. rather complains to you and gets a bit whiny or vents to himself with an underlining annoyed tone just needing to let out some (tiny) steam. he is just in need of his gf (you) showing him how much she loves him to be able to calm his tensed heart.

you won't need long to get yushi back to his loving and gentle self because he is absolutely head over heels for you and as soon as his attention is back to you, his jealous and annoyed attitude is long gone.

jaehee is a cute little fluff ball but he is very mature for his age. might deal with jealousy the best out of all wishies. definitely the type of person to just voice out his feelings when he gets jealous over a situation that happened. might not use the actual word 'jealous' when expressing himself but he just wants you to know how he feels and thinks the best way to solve uncomfortable situations is to talk it out. he knows what could possibly make him feel uneasy so he also avoids getting himself in such situations as well, so you won't feel the same way when it's the other way around. if he does let his jealousy take the best of him (for a teeny tiny moment) he might come across as a bit mean - harsh to the people involved. a guy very obviously trying to get your attention even though he is right next to you? jaehee will blurt out a (petty) comment loud enough for the other person to hear or will just straight up tell the guy to kindly fuck off because you are with him, your amazing bf and you do not need another guy on his haunting mission to disturb your peace. might make a comment here and there when you two are alone again, not because he is mad but simply because he cannot believe how obnoxious some people are. won't take a lot of effort on your side to get his mind off of it and soon enough he will have forgotten about the thing that caused him to feel jealous in the first place.

doesn't get jealous when it comes to his members. you want to play with saku and ryo instead of watching a movie with him like you guys actually planned to do? that's ok! you can watch the movie later!!!! yushi asks you guys to join their fun basketball match outside? sure! you can have some alone time afterwards too!!! he is very confident and more so comfortable in your relationship so he does not feel the need to question you or his own intentions, ever. ryo is a petty one. not in a rude way tho, in a 'why would someone else have to help you out when your amazing bf is there to help out his pretty gf' because yes, you are the most prettiest person he has ever laid his eyes on and he knows others will think the same thing when they see you. not afraid to express his jealousy when it is necessary (in his eyes) especially when it comes to his members. hyung or not, ryo will definitely call out his friends when they do something that he doesn't like. he will never blame you tho, not that you would ever push his buttons to the point of jealousy, but he just never thinks you are in the wrong. he knows how pretty you are and how lovable, cute, funny and kind his perfect gf is so he never points his finger at you. but you being too perfectly you, made ryo quickly realize he might not be the only one feeling that way about you.

sakuya is still young. you are his first real relationship and he is still trying to figure out how everything works with this whole bf - gf thing. he knows what jealousy means and trust me, this guy has been jealous plenty of times but he refuses to give in to this feeling. i mean?? you are his gf right?? you like him right?? you still love him.. right?? he knows you do, he knows that at the end of the day, you are his and he is yours but he cannot help but feel jealous whenever you seem to be a bit too close with someone else or more specifically, when someone else is a bit too close to you.

It’s Christmas day, and the whole house is alive and in a hurry. Shouts of “mom, where’s my sweater?” and “get out! I need to use the bathroom!” fill the air, drowning out George Michael’s voice in Last Christmas as it plays from the living room speakers. Frantic relatives rush through the hallways past fairy lights and fake wreaths to get ready for the guests to arrive. It’s the first year in your life that the guests haven’t stayed over on Christmas eve. 

“Y/N, can you make me hot chocolate?” shouts Sakuya from the floor above. “Why would I?” you reply to the brother in question. “I’ll do your dishes tonight.” “Deal.”

While you stir away at the two cups of hot chocolate in front of you, it becomes difficult to get your mind off the foreboding you’d felt in the pit of your stomach since waking up that day. You love your family, you really do. Winter break has been beyond fun with your cousins in town. But just this once you wish you could spend Christmas at your friend’s party instead. Just so you could avoid him. You still don’t have it in you to face him. Not after last December.

Almost as if your thoughts hold summoning powers, the doorbell rings, “Kids, come to the living room, they’re here!”

You walk out of the kitchen to face the family of your mother’s best friend, including her son: Oh Sion. The boy you hadn’t seen since new years, when you took a chance and kissed him and he didn't kiss back. The boy who stared back in disbelief after you pulled away which was more than enough to add to your mortification. The boy you’d made every effort to avoid all year.

Before the argument you’re having over Home Alone can go on any longer, your mother shushes both of you, “be quieter, everyone else is trying to watch the movie too.”

You lock eyes with Sion and then both of you turn back to your mother, “Now you’re just lying mom.”

“Yeah Mrs.L/N, it’s a kids movie, none of the adults here care. Not even you.”

“And Saku isn’t even old enough to know what’s going on.”

Your mother reopens her mouth as if to say something, but then seems to change her mind, smiling at the two of you and shaking her head. The two of you turn back to the movie as she turns to Sion’s mom, saying something about how no matter how much the pair of you bickered, you had a habit of standing up for yourselves together. If nine-year-old you cared to listen, you would have heard them say they hoped you two stayed this way forever.

It’s Christmas eve, you’re sitting next to a boy you would realise you loved 5 years later, and your mothers already think you are meant to be.

Since he got here, you had avoided eye contact, excused yourself to finish making hot chocolate, excused yourself to go to the bathroom, excused yourself to set up the lunch table. Alas, there were only so many excuses you could make before being forced to sit in the living room with everyone else. By some Christmas miracle, when you got there the only open seat was the one right next to Sion.

Sion shifted to the side, making more space for you to sit, but instead you maneuvered yourself to sit on the carpeted floor right next to the Christmas tree. You manage to get through a lot of the wait time before lunch by eating candy, drinking your hot chocolate, only speaking when asked a question (usually “yes my studies are going great” or “yes, I've started looking at a few colleges”), and most importantly by looking everywhere except at him. Yet, your mother just had to shatter your nearly flawless streak of avoidance.

“Y/N, why don’t you get some hot chocolate for Sion too?”

“Shhh, they’ll hear!” you whisper-yelled at him.

“I didn’t even say anything!” 

You just shook your head in response and reached over to redirect the light from the phone in his hand to the stairs in front of you, tiptoeing down, hoping the wood underfoot won’t creak. The boy next to you grabs your hand with his free one, pulling the two of you closer together than you were before. You stare at the hands and then at his face.

Sion leans to reach your ear to whisper, “I thought I heard something from upstairs.”

All you do is nod in response and continue carefully making your way down. Sion’s face stays close to yours, his hand continues to envelope your own.

You reach the entrance to the kitchen at the bottom of the stairs, turning on its lights. Sion takes his hand off yours, coughing awkwardly as he moves away and turns off his phone's flashlight. You head to the shelf in the furthest corner, getting on your toes in an attempt to reach the cookies right at the top. Sion approaches from behind leaning over you to reach the cookies easily. The gesture and the proximity make your fourteen-year-old heart flutter.

He takes a seat on the floor, placing the cookies down, just as you do the same with the cola you pulled out of the fridge. 

“I can’t imagine a Christmas without you. Or uh- you know. Without all of this,” he says quietly.

“Me neither,” you respond, just as quietly.

It’s Christmas day, you’re sitting on your kitchen floor with a boy, and you’re beginning to realise you may not just have a silly crush on him. You might just be in love.

The kitchen has always been just out of earshot of the main living room area. The voices of both of your families fade into the background as the two of you walk in, the rapid beating of your heart becoming louder by the second and filling your ears. You start making the hot chocolate as he leans on the counter next to you, trying (and failing) to meet your eyes. 

“You’ve been avoiding me. Not just today, all year. Since new year’s.”

“I don’t really want to talk about new year’s.”

“Hm?” he hums with a questioning tone.

You stop stirring, finally meeting his eyes, “It was just- you know. A mistake. Drank a little too much. Won’t happen again.”

“We only had one beer each that night. I know your tolerance is higher than that. And I’d like it to happen again.”

There’s a pause. You process what he’s just said to you. Sion can tell by the look on your face that the cogs are turning in your head and a smirk begins to form on his face.

“Oh.” 

He nods, then after another pause you continue, “But you didn’t kiss back.”

“Because I was surprised! You’ve got to give a guy a second to figure out what’s going on before you assume the worst,” he shakes his head in mock disappointment while he smiles at your stunned expression, “I was surprised you liked me back.”

“You liked me?” “I might actually be in love with you.”

“Oh,” your voice now reduced to a whisper out of shock, “I might be in love with you too.”

Now your body turns to face him fully, just as his hand moves to your cheek. He leans down, his lips meeting yours as your hands go to his sides, grabbing his sweater. You’ve kissed people before but with Sion it’s different (especially when he kisses back). You pull apart for breath, “Ok now this is our first kiss, the new year's one doesn't count.” You laugh in response, “Deal.”

Sion engulfs you in a hug, the warm kind he’s always given you. His arms wrap around your waist as yours encircle his neck. As you hug the two of you confess how much you missed each other all year. When the hug breaks he kisses you again and you can feel the smile on his lips.

All of a sudden your attention is brought back to your previous task, realising the hot chocolate must be getting cold. Sion watches you with adoration in his eyes as you turn back to the counter to finish stirring. The adoration has always been there, you’re just beginning to notice it.

It’s christmas day, you’re standing in your kitchen with the boy you love, and you finally know he loves you just the same. You’re excited for new years day, and every christmas after, because each one will be spent with him.

┆彡 SION [ 시온 ]  

sion was a friend of a friend with whom you just clicked right away. you two became inseparable, the boy’s clinginess just triggering whenever he was with you. and while you loved hanging out with him, lately you noticed a slight change in his behavior. like, for example, pulling you closer whenever a guy looks at you. 

sure, it was normal for him to hang his arm around your neck when you were walking or standing next to each other. or to hold your arm. but every now and then, his hand would interlock with yours only replying with “what? friends do that all the time” when you shoot him a puzzled look. 

your other friends pointed it out to you. because at first, you just thought he’s being protective. giving you his jacket when you were cold or wearing shorts. holding your hand. sometimes even resting his hand on the small of your back (which gave you butterflies, weird). cuddling or hugging. but apparently, it was jealousy. 

you started noticing it too. whenever you wanted to ask someone for something, he’d do it. his large hands were always on you in some way, eyes as well. he was acting like your boyfriend.

“sion, do you see that guy?” you asked once, deciding to call him out. his brows furrowed instantly, looking. “the one with a cute smile… and a red hoodie. yeah, that one”

“mhm. what about him? was he bothering you?” is he acting weird?” he asked, sending the guy a cold look. 

“no. i think he’s cute. but i’m too shy to go ask him for his number… could you do that for me?” you asked sweetly. sion’s fist tightened but he stood up without a word and approached the guy. you observed the faces, a mix of anger and shock visible. when sion came back, his hand landed on your waist with a satisfying smirk. you asked how that went but he said the guy was uninterested. 

after a while, when sion went to the bathroom, you decided to approach the guy and ask him what sion said. 

“he said you’re taken by him. like, you’re his girlfriend. so i should stop staring” he explained and walked away. 

sion came back from the bathroom and saw you, arms crossed and a frown on your face.

“sion, why do you keep acting like you’re my boyfriend? i’ll let the hand holding slide, hell, even the cuddling. but telling people we’re a couple? how many times have you done this? why… why are you doing that?” you asked it right away, too angry too hold it in. his smile dropped, heart speeding up.

“i… i like you, okay? i was too anxious to get rejected and… i don’t know, i was too jealous. i didn’t even want to think that someone else might be interested in you” he explained, whining. 

“you like me?” you blinked. right. it all made sense. it wasn't platonic jealousy. 

“yeah, i did ever since yush brought you over that one game night!” sion grunted and sat down next to you, grabbing your hand “sorry i did that, i just so angry and… it’s the first time. and last time. i promise. i’ll… i’ll stop seeing you if you’re uncomfortable…”

“sion. i’ll be honest, i’m… i never really thought about you in that way” you said and saw how his breath hitched, so you quickly corrected yourself “but i can give it a try. i like the way you hold me and how much fun we have together. we can give it a try. you can tell people now”

“wh… what?” his eyes widened and you nodded.

“but please, let’s take it slow–” you started

“can i kiss you? he cut in. if he was a puppy, his tail would be swinging like crazy. you broke into a smile and nodded. sion wasted no time and kissed you as if the world was ending in 10 minutes. 

┆彡 RIKU [ 前田 陸 ]  

on the first day of high school riku sat next to you. and it just stayed like that. you didn’t really talk much for the first two years, just occasionally asking questions. but in later years, you started noticing his stuff is all… decorated with sanrio stickers. once you commented it’s cute and his cheeks just burned with a red shade as he stuttered that it’s his sister’s doings. suddenly you whipped out a chococat sticker and put it on his pencil case. he just grinned. slowly, you started decorating his stuff too. you got closer and started doodling with him during the classes, gossiping and chatting. somehow you didn’t get scolded, able to know when to stop. riku became more than a seatmate and definitely more than a friend, which hit you hard when once he didn’t come to school because he was sick. the day he got back you hugged him and sat down, the lesson starting. you wrote down in his textbook, with a pink pen, and started a conversation. 

“riku i need to tell you something”

“you missed me”

“no”

“then don’t tell me :D”

“i will anyways :D” 

you hesitated and sent him a shy look, covering your face with your hand. then, you wrote down with a shaky and sweaty palm.

“i like you, more than a friend” 

riku dropped his pen - the sound echoing in a quiet classroom. and when he rose his head up from picking it up, his head banged against the desk. a loud bang was followed by a whine and you leaned in to wrap your hands around his head while holding back a laugh. 

he looked up, teary eyed, and snuggled into your touch. then he grabbed the pen and messily wrote down. 

“i like you too” 

he felt your breath stop and added

“why do you think i decided to sit next to you on the first day?”

┆彡 YUSHI [ 得能勇志 ]  

tokuno yushi… the name rang in your ears as you stepped into the room. you were doing competitive dancing for a while now and you were definitely the most female member of your group. yushi, however, was the most famous male member. the workshop that held the classes you were attending decided to hold a competition, the winner’s prize being a scholarship to a professional dance school. 

the competition was for both genders, so you were aware to stumble against yushi somewhere. hell, you knew he’d be in finals too. you never met him personally but you acknowledged each other. which is why, when he’s performing now, you’re getting worried. he’s really fucking good.

once he came off stage, he sent you a smirk. 

“good luck. don’t trip” he hummed and nudged your shoulder slightly when passing you. with a huff, you walked away. what an asshole.

after your performance, it was time to wait for the judges to make a decision. you sat in the hallway in front of yushi. he looked up, smug smile on his lips.

“listen, don’t feel sad if you don’t win. i gave all my best, there’s no way of topping that” yushi hummed.

“yeah? who asked” you grunted and saw a flash of offense on his face. the judges called you in. just the two of you, not even the other person.

“we have a dilemma, really. both of you are extremely good. but we only can offer one scholarship majoring in solo competitive dance” the judge said “however, we have an idea. either you both agree on being placed in second place and win $100…”

you peeked and yushi who just rolled his eyes.

“...or you two agree to do a duo dance and we can make a deal with the dance school” 

a moment passed by before you realized the judges were waiting for your answers.

“i… i’m fine with that” you hummed. the scholarship was your dream, you won't let some random-angry for no reason-boy jeopardize your chance. yushi’s eyes widened but he nodded.

“me too.”

“we’re set them. you have three weeks to choose and practice a choreography” 

with that, you left the room. you exchanged looks with yushi. suddenly, he pulled out his phone and handed it to you. 

“type your number, we’ll discuss it over texts. i don’t feel like talking to you right now” he grunted, looking away.

“rude” you scoffed and did that anyway. he left without saying goodbye.

since you wanted to use all of the time you had for practice, you met the next day with a set song. 

even though yushi didn’t like you, his heart fluttered when you first started practicing the dance. your hands were so soft and gently with him, he never witnessed that before. having you up close, hand resting on your waist… made his stomach swirl with butterflies. he didn’t know what was happening and he wasn't sure if he liked it - but he knew that by the end of the three week practice period, you’ll be his. 

┆彡 JAEHEE [ 재희 ]  

“the fuck you mean you’re leaving?” your voice broke, arms crossed on your chest and clawing into your skin. 

daeyoung sighed, looking down. he couldn’t handle the look you were giving him. the look of someone he loved ever since childhood. the look of someone who just heard that their best friend is leaving them. to pursue his dreams. 

“i’m sorry but i, i don’t know. it’s just so sudden, i didn’t even know they want me there now, well… in a week” he mumbled, heart doing somersaults in his chest. 

he’s going to seoul to pursue his trainee dream. to achieve success and do something he’s passionate about. his plan was to ask you out and then apply but… he got too lost in the moment and applied earlier… passed auditions… without confessing yet. 

“you can’t leave me, hee” you broke down, quickly wiping your tears. daeyoung finally looked up - and that was a mistake. he always hated to see you cry but… for the first time he was the one who made you cry. 

“i’m sorry, i’m sorry, i just… i…” he didn’t even know what to say “i need to tell you before i leave, y/n”

you shook your head, turning around. you didn’t want to look at him right now–

“i love you. i always did. and i should’ve done it sooner, i should’ve confessed before but i didn’t have the courage and now… now i don’t have anything to lose” daeyoung  mumbled and tears blurred his visions as well. you looked at him through your shoulder, quiet “y/n… please…”

you just walked up and looked him in the eye, biting on your lip. million thoughts were racing in your head. 

“please say something… anything, please” he begged, chest rising up and down irregularly in panic.

“i wanna fucking punch you right now” you grunted and suddenly captured his lips in a sweet kiss. daeyoung  was taken aback, not sure how to respond. the feeling of your plush lips knocked air out of his lungs, he didn’t know what to do - not like he knew in the first place, not having been kissed before. 

you leaned away and buried your head in his chest.

“it’s okay. we’ll think of something. i’ll go with you” you mumbled. and daeyoung  took that as a quiet ‘i love you too’. even though he loved you since forever, this moment made him fall even more. 

┆彡 RYO [ 廣瀬遼 ]  

neither of you know how it happened. ever since middle school ryo and you were rivals in terms of academic successes. in every subject, since little kids, you were bragging who’s better and who got a better grade. you were quite peaceful during classes doing your thing but during the breaks, you’d start comparing your scores. if one failed a bit, the other would laugh. if one succeeded, the other would roll their eyes and leave. pure rivalry, no feeling attached. ryo thought you were smart, though. he didn’t hate you (even though he acted as if you were his archnemesis), he even quite liked you. you were witty and funny, pretty too. but he always scratched it off, too distracted by a fact that you both won the first place in competitions - resulting in sharing prizes and posing to pictures together, faking smiles. 

once you were paired to do a project on your school, a presentation. because every teacher knew you and decided to pick you out as school representatives. and as much as you hated that, you had to invite him over to work on it. 

which is why ryo was currently spinning on your chair and looking at all the posters in your room. it was quite nice too see what you’re passionate about and what kind of music do you like.

“can you like, focus? i really don’t wanna do this either” you grunted and despite your mean tone, you handed him a bowl of fruit. 

his heart melted at the gesture and he accepted it, popping a grape into his mouth. 

“then stop trying so hard. your grades will drop and they’ll give me a new partner” he snickered and watched you turn on powerpoint.

“yeah, you wish. you’d miss me too much, smartypants” you teased and focused on your laptop screen. ryo halted his moves, barely chewing on the grape.

you were right. 

he wouldn’t like anyone to replace you. he liked that. he liked the rivalry, the snickering, the teasing.

he liked you.  

“are you done eating, hirose? chop chop” you sighed and patted the spot next to you. 

with a goofy smile that left you puzzled, he joined you. you don’t have to know about this now, he’ll tease you for a bit longer.

┆彡 SAKUYA [ 藤永咲哉 ]  

he’s your rival - not necessarily an academic one, though. it all started when you joined the baking club he was in and everyone started swooning over your baked goods. like, hello?! he’s right here?! it turned into rivalry once he started decorating his sweets extra fancy. you did too. the members of your club just giggle, always eager to try both of your products. glaring daggers your day, sakuya was once shocked when you approached him. 

“it’s not like i’m curious or whatever… can i try your bread?” you asked, pointing at the pink sourdough bread with sakura shaped cracks. he only nodded, taken aback too deeply to respond. it was the first time you tasted something. after you did, you just muttered a quiet ‘it’s really good’ 

after that, you two started slowly bonding over your food. form time to time you’d share recipes and over time, sakuya asked you to come to his place and bake together.

it was a bit chaotic, despite both of you being good bakers. flour and sugar everywhere, the countertop sticky with honey. sakuya was looking at you softly, observing how you’re decorating the cupcakes with whipped cream. 

“sprinkles, please” you reached your hand out and met his gaze on you “what?”

“nothing, um” he cleared his throat and gave you the pink sparkles. the moment your hands met, sakuya’s cheeks blushed. 

he realized that watching you in your element, baking and enjoying yourself… was something he could see forever. how pretty you looked and how… 

“am i dirty? you keep staring, saku” you grunted, raising your brow. there was i see a bit of whipped cream on your lips.

“there’s a little bit…” he whispered and gently wiped the cream with his thumb, his ebony eyes not leaving your lips. his breath hitched, blinking slowly. “can i kiss you…?” 

you nodded and allowed him to lean closer. he was shy, almost unsure. so you kissed him back, showing that you’re into that. sakuya smiled into the kiss and leaned away, cheeks flaring. you tasted sweeter than any cupcake he’s ever baked and he wouldn’t mind kissing you everyday.
