OH SION ﾐ 오시온

needs hugs to recharge throughout the day. same with kisses. always begging you for affection even if you give him a lot, and will cling to you as well. he can just never get enough and will come up with excuses just to get an extra kiss out of you.

gets excited even for the little things like a surprise day off or an extra hour to spend with you. never lets you get bored and always has ideas of what to do together to make it a date. any time spent with your boyfriend is time well spent. 

definitely has a picture of you as his phone background. on long work days or overseas schedules he misses you too much and likes to still see your face when video calling isn’t an option. likes the idea of matching couple rings or a necklace to have when you’re apart and gets a pair for you at some point.

MAEDA RIKU ﾐ 前田 陸

wears tank tops or t-shirts that look really good on him and then pretends he doesn’t know why you’re staring at him or all over him. he can’t feign ignorance for too long, though, because he always ends up giggling at how cute you are. 

shares his food with you and always makes sure you eat well. would rather order something you like and share it than order something he’s personally craving, especially if you are slightly pickier with your food. he loves enjoying food together and seeing you satisfied. 

has to hold your hand if you’re ever walking somewhere. more of a comfort than function. he knows he won’t lose you, but he likes the feeling of having your hand in his. will also reach out to hold your hand if you’re sitting next to each other. he likes the feeling of your soft skin.

TOKUNO YUSHI ﾐ 得能勇志

eye contact from across the room leads to mini staring contests that end in giggles and laughter. he’ll stare at you like a little cat until he gets your attention just to smile or wink to see you blush or roll your eyes. 

appears out of nowhere sneaking behind you for hugs or planting kisses on your cheek or neck. you often hear him before you see him if he whispers his favourite nickname for you or a simple hey before his arms are wrapping around you.

lies on top of you whenever you’re sitting on the couch. loves when you play with his hair or kiss his forehead. but will also tease you by blocking any attempts to kiss his lips. until you push him onto the floor and then he’s coming back to you begging for a real kiss. 

KIM DAEYOUNG ﾐ 김대영

always texts you throughout the day, sending memes or little updates. especially during practice when he’s surrounded by the other members’ antics. he sits on the side of the studio and finds his own peaceful quiet by messaging you. 

loves taking couple photos and practically has to take a new one each day. whether an ootd photo in the mirror or a cute pose where you’re kissing his cheek, he loves his little collection of them to remember each day with you. prints them out as polaroids and puts his favourite one in his phone case.

will sing any song you like and sends you little covers through voice messages throughout the day. he’ll include raw takes too when he messes up the lyrics or forgets the melody and you might just love when his giggles interrupt the cover even more than a perfect take.

HIROSE RYO ﾐ 廣瀬遼

shares all his clothes with you and even accessories too. his hoodies are practically your sweaters, and his necklaces end up on you more often than he wears them. he thinks it’s super cute, but you do have to compete with sakuya sometimes for dibs on ryo’s sweaters.

teases you with his kisses by pulling away too fast or kissing just beside your lips. only does it to get a reaction out of you and will of course give you a proper kiss eventually, but he lives for your grumpy face. 

is so patient with you and puts up with your cuteness aggression for him. perhaps he understands it because he feels the same urge to squish sakuya’s cheeks (and yours, too). doesn’t mind if his face is showered in kisses and he’s trapped in a tight hug for minutes. let’s you squeeze him like he’s your personal teddy bear. 

FUJINAGA SAKUYA ﾐ 藤永咲哉

the king of matching everything with you: shirts, nails, shoes, even hair ties. he always lets you play with his hair or put it up before he has dance practice. and if his nails aren’t matching with yours, he’s doing something wrong. 

he’s your best friend truly before being your boyfriend, and all the inside jokes you made as friends still make you giggle when they’re brought up. sakuya loves to recreate them whenever he can to make you giggle uncontrollably.

is still super shy with you at times, even though you’ve been dating for a while. if you kiss him by surprise his cheeks will tint pink and he might even stutter over his words. he’s used to being teased by the members for being the youngest and lovesick, and he may never grow out of his shyness towards you.

Synopsis: You keep seeing the boy in your film/theater class around town, but no matter what you try, you can't talk to him. Everytime you meet him, unfortunate events occur that break you two apart.

Before You Read!: no use of yn, pov changes a lot, reader is timid but has a backbone, everyone on earth has either a curse or a gift. you have a curse (bad luck/milo murphy's law), jaehee has a gift (superpowered voice/siren song). because of the curse reader will get hurt. a lot, but only brief descriptions. brief depictions of a menstrual cycle at a certain part, no specified gender tho, reader is also the only one directly affected by their curse (this goes for everyone else as well), but they don't know it yet, intentional lowercase, reader is born 06 and is gender neutral (referred to as them throughout),

eric is readers older brother who sometimes visits them and also works at the convenience store, sion works at a convenience store jaehee and reader both frequent, yushi is jaehee's dorm mate and reader's childhood friend. this is a three(?) parter, the next parts will be titled differently but still be part two & three, the members are the only ones who call daeyoung as jaehee as a nickname, wonyoung is called vicky at some points for fun. there's a Kamen Rider reference.

milo murphy's law; the theory that unfortunate happenings will occur at any time, whatever can go wrong will go wrong in short.

in this life you've learned this the hard way; through your curse. people are born with either a curse or a gift, most people being the latter. because of this, society idolizes and is run by the gifted. despite this, you don't hate every gifted petson you meet, many of them are very nice, but they live in a completely different world. you know this for a fact because a girl that used to be in your class, vicky, had a gift that made her extremely lucky. you never hated her for always having good grades, never having any mishaps with teachers, and always having a good relationship throughout middle school. this is because even though you have the worst luck ever, you never hold any resentment towaeds people for it, your parents taught you this.

another one of these gifted people you know(?) is kim daeyoung. a boy in your class who you are embarressed to admit you have feelings for. he is very sweet, and even though his gift is siren song, he is ultimately more lucky than you are. you always try talking to him but...your curse seems to always have the last word.

there was one time you gathered all your courage and tried talking to him at the convienince store you both frequent. you were about to catch him by the slushies, when the drink your friend was getting suddenly malfunctioned and splashed all over you as a big thud was heard. you had already called out daeyoung's name, and so when he turned around to look at you he found you on the floor. you had slipped and fell when you tried to make a break for it after the slushies splashed on you.

"are you okay? you're [...] right, i see you in class sometimes," he says as he tries grabbing your hand before you slip from his grasp and tumble back to the floor.

you end up scrapping your knee before you pick yourself back up and answer him, "yes i'm [...], and i'm fine. just milo mirphy's law messing with me," you say as you dust your pants a bit.

he offers you a look of sympathy before getting ready to offer to pay for a new slushie and pulling out his phone to pay before his phone suddenly dies. he blinks in suprise before he remembers that he forgot to charge it during class like he usually does. you, however, don't know this so you start apologizing saying that you were the cause. he didn't know why you said that as it was dying before, but he lets you ramble looking at you softly...

- [daeyoung/yushi's pov] - [a year after that event] -

daeyoung would also never admit this, but he has liked you for a while. a while being since yushi had told him about you, which was about two years ago. so him struggling for your name when you first met despite already knowing it was a strategic move on his part, 'how weird would he be if he already knew you before you both ever talked?'

"not weird at all, i mean we are all in the same class," yushi says as he tries swatting the cloud away from his head before he takes another sip of his drink. daeyoung looks at yushi for a moment. yushi had a a curse; weather that was based on emotion that would only affect him. unlike you, however, yushi never let his curse get to him, despite it also ruining his outfits resorting in him wearing a raincoat everywhere. he guessed, though, that extreme bad luck and bad weather were different. he just wished you were able to have more fun without blaming yourself for things.

yushi gets a text from you asking if he wants to go to the library to pick out some books to read before you go on break for spring. he shows jaehee the text and asks if he wants to tag along with him, a mini sun beginning to peek out of the cloud above his head. daeyoung thinks for a moment, 'he should go along, you could both talk and exchange numbers'. daeyoung agrees as they both get up and yushi tells you he's on his way with a surprise.

yushi is aware that you find daeyoung cute (he thinks so too the slighetest bit), but he has liked you ever since you were both kids and still can't let it go sometimes. he's never confessed to you but he beloeves he knows how you'll answer. you probably be flattered and say that you'll think about it. he also would feel horrible about daeyoung as he knows of his feelings for you. he's decided that he will do everything in his power to get you two together, no matger how limited that power is.

as they both start reaching the library, they spot kyujin, your dorm mate, almost running through the door that doesn't open fast enough. they wonder what's going on before you both run out with kyujins sweater wrapped around your waist. yushi gets a laye text saying you both had to leave due to unfortunate circumstances. yushi knows what you're getting at besides your excuse being vague. daeyoung asks what happened trying to see yushi's previous texts before yushi moves his hand quickly away shielding the texts from his eyes.

"she had to leave because she accexidently left her stove on while both of them were out," yushi makes up the excuse as daeyoung looks at him incredulously. despite its far-fetched nature, this is something that has happened to you before. though it was extremely hot because of summer, unlike now, which is a calm breeze and sunshine. so, not the best excuse, but it was the best he could think of at the time. daeyoung decides to let it go as the both of them head into the library to pick out some books anyway.

'what genre do they like?' is the question that runs through daeyoungs head as him and yushi scan the aisles of the library. "you've been friemds with them forever right? i feel like you should know what venre they like," daeyoung asks as he stops for a second to look at yushi in the graphic novel section.

"i don't know what genre they like, as they don't even know but, i have an idea," yushi says as he puts up a finger like a lightbulb went off. he goes towards the [your second favorite genre] section, and pulls out a book. they both nod at each other as they start walking to the book check out section near the front. they walk out as daeyoung starts preparing himself to give you the book the next time he sees you.

"i think this is it!"

- [reader's pov] - [two days later in class] -

"for our tragedies, your next project will be to act out a scene from a play or movie that has a strong romance with a partner. and before you ask, i already picked the partners you'll work with," as the teacher said the last part, everyone's mood immediately damped. teacher picked partners never work out well, especially for you. everytime, you end up getting stuck with someone who doesn't work, someone who doesn't understand the assignment so you have to explain over and over, or someone rude who blames you for anything that goes wrong once they find out about your curse.

this, however, doesn't bother you in particular. you just dislike the fact that everyone looks at you with such pity when such things happen. you woke up just late enough to be marked late, you split your 5th drink on yourself this week and it was only tuesday, your laptop died even though you charged it this morning, or even almost falling down the stairs for the 3rd time today. at a certain point, you begin to wonder if they think you're hogging attention, but you've learned they are just really bad at hiding their emotions. especially...

"woonhak, we're not doing that," kyujin says as she deadpans woonhak as he suggests a scene where they change something to get blown up. "we already have the scene anyway, let's just do what the teacher says," she reiterates this as she holds up the paper they were both given a few moments prior.

the teacher was going to give all of us our scenes and partners at the same time; by calling out one group at a time. you were worried though, what if you got partnered with daeyoung and messed up the project for him, then he would definitely think you're weird. you two, besides matthew and yushi, were the only ones who didn't have partners yet. you're chances were probably slim to none, but you still hoped that you could get anyone el-

"daeyoung and [...], come up here to hear about your scene, you two are partners," your heart might actually burst out of your chest. daeyoung looks over to you as you both walk up to the teachers podium in the front of the room. "you both will be acting out a scene from the movie 'the princess bride'. you won't get to pick which scene exactly from the movie you do, but I will let you pick what to put in and take out from the scene. there are some things you can't take out, though. it would just hurt the grade. you can't take out any famous quotes, as they help convey the message this assignment is about." as the teacher explained, you looked at your paper in a bit of doubt. you didn't have stage fright exactly, but you were nervous about what could happen to daeyoung if you two got on stage together.

you all are given a whole month to practice lines, block scenes, come up with different elements, and build chemistry with your partner. you weren't worried about any of the other things you had to practice, except for...the chemistry part. daeyoung doesn't seem too worried though, he even invited you to the convenience store to eat and talk about the project (he said he and yushi would have to clean up his dorm a little before to you were able to come over). even though you barely spoke through spluttering and stammering, you were able to convey that you wanted to go. since class ended at 4pm, you both could walk together to the store, since it would be starting to get dark.

when you enter the store with surprisingly no problems, you're almost met with a kids toy being thrown at your face before...a hand blocked it. but it wasn't daeyoung, it was someone you knew very well. your older brother, eric. "i literally saw you getting hit in the face, and wanted to save you the bad time after. who's this?" as eric gives the kid back the toy he caught and told them to be careful, he turns back to you.

"this is daeyoung, he's my classmate and we're working on a project together." you introduce both of them and explain to daeyoung that eric is your brother and started working at this convenience store to keep an eye on you as he has clairvoyance. while you guys grab some ramen you also explain that you've been close to your brother your whole life, and he was one of the only people who really helped you, being able to see something bad before it happened. daeyoung says that you both must be really grateful to have each other through your hard times. he then shares that he is an only child, but has friends like yushi who have helped him through hard times in life. you get a bit bold when you both sit down across from each other as you ask when he and yushi met.

"i don't remember exactly, but it was sometime around when i turned 16. i met him at a comic convention. I was by myself because i begged my parents to let me go by myself. but when i got there, it was a little overwhelming. he helped me find the booth I was trying to get to, despite only being a year older." he reminisces as he looks off for a second. you ask him what booth he was trying to get to, and he said it was a booth for kamen rider merchandise where you got to meet the actor for kamen rider decade. you tell him that you've never watched it, but have heard about it. he then continues the story by saying he and yushi ended up having a lot in common with each other, so they exchanged numbers and became friends.

eric interrupts your guys' moment and sits down at the middle edge of the table, just far enough to be next to both of you. you don't mind talking with daeyoung, but you were starting to wonder how long you could go without something bad happening. just as you think this, you start choking on your noodles. your brother just grabs a napkin from his apron and starts patting your back. daeyoung asks if you're okay, but you and eric both answer that you're fine.

eventually, you and daeyoung leave the convinience store, and you say goodbye to eric as he stops the door from hitting you square in the face. you and daeyoung walk back to the dorms together, and he walks you to your room despite being on the boys side.

"i'm sorry we didn't really get any work done today," daeyoung appologizes as he looks down a bit while going up the elevator. "if i seemed a little nervous today, it's because i was. i can't really control my siren song that well, so i was worried i might use it on you." as daeyoung says this he looks up a bit.

he asks if you want to exchange numbers so you could update each other on the project as you both come up with ideas, you agree and nothing bad happens. suprisingly.

- [daeyoung's pov] - [later on that night] - at daeyoung and yushi's dorm -

"so, how did it go?" yushi asks daeyoung as he sits his bag on his bed to unpack it for the day. daeyoung asks him what he means, and yushi just wiggles his eyebrows. "you told her that you liked her, right? it's literally the perfect oppurtunity to." yushi doubles down.

"of course not! how could i say that and this is the first time i've talked to her?" daeyoung defends as yushi just shakes his head and turns to message his partner about the project. he makes a face when matthew says that gunwook won't leave him alone and keeps messing with his stuff, so he can't work on the project on their free day tomorrow. yushi just turns around in his bed and tells daeyoung goodnight.

daeyoung would say something and ask him what's wrong but, he knows yushi is probably tired. he wants to message you about what time to meet and work on the project, so he pulls up his contacts. but, where did your number go?!

-[no one's pov] - [at the convienience store that night] -

"don't you think it's weird that kid came in with my sibling today?" eric says to sion and euijoo as they clean up to start the night shift. eric loves his sibling, really he does, but sometimes they're a little too trusting.

"maybe it's their boyfriend?" euijoo suggets as he remembers how you don't ever come in the store with anyone but kyujin. he shouln't have said this, however, as eric slowly looks up from the counter he was cleaning and glares at euijoo.

"ej, i don't need foresight to tell you that you should probably run now," as sion says this eric charges at ej before he dashes to the breakroom. sion just sighs shaking his head as he continues sweeping. just then, someone enters the store. unexpectedly, it was the kid! unfortunately, eric and ej walk back after ej explains the comment was a joke. eric and the kid lock eyes as they both walk near the counter from opposite sides. suprisingly, or scarily, eric is calm as he asks daeyoung to sit down at the counter he just cleaned.

"so, how long have you been dating my sibling?" eric asks as daeyoung chokes on air. sion grabs him some water from behind the counter and pats his back.

"i can assure you, i'm not doing that. i actually came here for your help and advice!"...

오시온 - oh sion ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆

sion thinks he is slick - nonchalant when it comes to his jealousy. but mans is literally as transparent as a glass door. he doesn't get jealous easily but when he does, he is definitely the type to try and keep his cool when there are others around. with an emphasis on 'try'. depending on the situation and the people involved, definitely has different ways of handling - showing his jealousy. let's say it's something involving his members, something silly as the maknaes claiming all your attention even though sion himself wants to spend time with you as well. he knows you love his younger brothers and just want to take care of them but he cannot help the sort of heaviness that he feels. will definitely first try to just get said members to leave you alone and find someone else to play. if it doesn't work, will sigh out loud and make it very obvious that he is annoyed and almost makes it awkward for the other party involved, making the atmosphere in the room very.. tense. enough for his members to leave you alone.

jealous sion in public is a different story tho, will have his hands on you the second he sees someone else looking at you a bit too long. hand on your lower back, holding your hand in a tight grip as if he was scared you would run off (chill sion) gets super clingy, back hugging you while lowkey glaring at the other person. will never admit that he is jealous tho. brushes it off as soon as he feels like the coast is clear. will play it off as a joke because he will never voice out that he feels jealous, thinks it's a bit childish especially because he knows you are in a very happy and healthy relationship together. even when you tell him it's ok to be jealous as long as he communicates his worries with you, he will still act as if he was never jealous in the first place. will shoot you his famous (pretty) smile while pretending to be super chill and unbothered, quietly giggling to himself as well because both you and him know his little ego would not survive the dent it would make.

you love him nonetheless tho, you lowkey think it's cute when he gets jealous. he will never cross a line especially not when it comes to you. you are his person and he just doesn't want to lose you.

마에다 리쿠 - maeda riku ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆

riku is the silent one. silent with expressing his feelings with words tho.. not his facial expressions. won't full on glare at others like sion would, but yk his typical face expression when he puffs up his cheeks and just silently watches his surroundings? yup, that would be him. others might not see that he is jealous but you know your bf better than anyone else, so you can immediately tell when he feels 'uncomfortable' because of someone or something you do. if he would be watching the scene unfold from a distance, he wil pull his 'puffy cheeks - big doe eyes' while fidgeting with his own fingers. just silently hoping you would cut of your conversation with the person that was being a bit too handsy to his liking. but if he was next to you, he would be clinging onto you but at the same time trying to make it seem like he was oh so interested in that wonderful color on the wall. let's say you ran into an old friend or you, being the social butterfly you, get in a fun conversation with someone at a party (or any other social gathering) riku would be standing next to you, arms linked in yours, playing with your fingers or the fabric of your shirt. just waiting for you to focus your attention on him again.

i just don't see riku as an 'childish' or 'unreasonable' jealous person. he trusts you and he knows you won't ever do something to purposely make him jealous, he just doesn't know how to act whenever something happens. confuses jealousy with uncomfortable situations. rather than pure jealousy, riku feels uncomfortable with the thought of someone being too close - touchy with you. not always the most confident especially not because he still thinks you are way too pretty and perfect for him so he might just feel a bit intimidated and exposed to something like jealousy. unsure how to bring it up to you he often just brushes it off to avoid upsetting you with his feelings. he is just in need of your reassurance and affection to calm himself down again. so please, give him the biggest hug ever. he is just so in love with you and needs you to show him you are just as head over heels for him to realize his jealousy is not something to overthink about.

토쿠노 유우시 - tokuno yushi ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆

yushi is a little mixture of a lot of different things. depending on the reason behind his jealousy he might act differently. at times, he just feels 'intimidated' by the other person and would be keep quiet and to himself and just see which way the cat jumps. but at other moments; yushi will get super touchy and clingy, with you still unaware of the other person, but soon enough you get the memo of what's going on. yushi is never one to back down from a little pda but when he gets jealous and all he wants is the other person to take his preying eyes off of you; he will not averse to show that you are his. but as soon as the situation has passed, his jealousy will be gone almost as quick as it came in the first place.

It’s Christmas day, and the whole house is alive and in a hurry. Shouts of “mom, where’s my sweater?” and “get out! I need to use the bathroom!” fill the air, drowning out George Michael’s voice in Last Christmas as it plays from the living room speakers. Frantic relatives rush through the hallways past fairy lights and fake wreaths to get ready for the guests to arrive. It’s the first year in your life that the guests haven’t stayed over on Christmas eve. 

“Y/N, can you make me hot chocolate?” shouts Sakuya from the floor above. “Why would I?” you reply to the brother in question. “I’ll do your dishes tonight.” “Deal.”

While you stir away at the two cups of hot chocolate in front of you, it becomes difficult to get your mind off the foreboding you’d felt in the pit of your stomach since waking up that day. You love your family, you really do. Winter break has been beyond fun with your cousins in town. But just this once you wish you could spend Christmas at your friend’s party instead. Just so you could avoid him. You still don’t have it in you to face him. Not after last December.

Almost as if your thoughts hold summoning powers, the doorbell rings, “Kids, come to the living room, they’re here!”

You walk out of the kitchen to face the family of your mother’s best friend, including her son: Oh Sion. Your mother reopens her mouth as if to say something, but then seems to change her mind, smiling at the two of you and shaking her head. The two of you turn back to the movie as she turns to Sion’s mom, saying something about how no matter how much the pair of you bickered, you had a habit of standing up for yourselves together. If nine-year-old you cared to listen, you would have heard them say they hoped you two stayed this way forever.

It’s Christmas eve, you’re sitting next to a boy you would realise you loved 5 years later, and your mothers already think you are meant to be.

Since he got here, you had avoided eye contact, excused yourself to finish making hot chocolate, excused yourself to go to the bathroom, excused yourself to set up the lunch table. Alas, there were only so many excuses you could make before being forced to sit in the living room with everyone else. By some Christmas miracle, when you got there the only open seat was the one right next to Sion.

Sion shifted to the side, making more space for you to sit, but instead you maneuvered yourself to sit on the carpeted floor right next to the Christmas tree. You manage to get through a lot of the wait time before lunch by eating candy, drinking your hot chocolate, only speaking when asked a question (usually “yes my studies are going great” or “yes, I've started looking at a few colleges”), and most importantly by looking everywhere except at him. Yet, your mother just had to shatter your nearly flawless streak of avoidance.

“Y/N, why don’t you get some hot chocolate for Sion too?”

You just shook your head in response and reached over to redirect the light from the phone in his hand to the stairs in front of you, tiptoeing down, hoping the wood underfoot won’t creak. The boy next to you grabs your hand with his free one, pulling the two of you closer together than you were before. You stare at the hands and then at his face.

Sion leans to reach your ear to whisper, “I thought I heard something from upstairs.”

All you do is nod in response and continue carefully making your way down. Sion’s face stays close to yours, his hand continues to envelope your own.

You reach the entrance to the kitchen at the bottom of the stairs, turning on its lights. Sion takes his hand off yours, coughing awkwardly as he moves away and turns off his phone's flashlight. You head to the shelf in the furthest corner, getting on your toes in an attempt to reach the cookies right at the top. Sion approaches from behind leaning over you to reach the cookies easily. The gesture and the proximity make your fourteen-year-old heart flutter.

He takes a seat on the floor, placing the cookies down, just as you do the same with the cola you pulled out of the fridge. 

“I can’t imagine a Christmas without you. Or uh- you know. Without all of this,” he says quietly.

“Me neither,” you respond, just as quietly.

It’s Christmas day, you’re sitting on your kitchen floor with a boy, and you’re beginning to realise you may not just have a silly crush on him. You might just be in love.

The kitchen has always been just out of earshot of the main living room area. The voices of both of your families fade into the background as the two of you walk in, the rapid beating of your heart becoming louder by the second and filling your ears. You start making the hot chocolate as he leans on the counter next to you, trying (and failing) to meet your eyes. 

“You’ve been avoiding me. Not just today, all year. Since new year’s.”

“I don’t really want to talk about new year’s.”

“Hm?” he hums with a questioning tone.

You stop stirring, finally meeting his eyes, “It was just- you know. A mistake. Drank a little too much. Won’t happen again.”

“We only had one beer each that night. I know your tolerance is higher than that. And I’d like it to happen again.”

There’s a pause. You process what he’s just said to you. Sion can tell by the look on your face that the cogs are turning in your head and a smirk begins to form on his face.

“Oh.” 

He nods, then after another pause you continue, “But you didn’t kiss back.”

“Because I was surprised! You’ve got to give a guy a second to figure out what’s going on before you assume the worst,” he shakes his head in mock disappointment while he smiles at your stunned expression, “I was surprised you liked me back.”

“You liked me?” “I might actually be in love with you.”

“Oh,” your voice now reduced to a whisper out of shock, “I might be in love with you too.”

Now your body turns to face him fully, just as his hand moves to your cheek. He leans down, his lips meeting yours as your hands go to his sides, grabbing his sweater. You’ve kissed people before but with Sion it’s different (especially when he kisses back). You pull apart for breath, “Ok now this is our first kiss, the new year's one doesn't count.” You laugh in response, “Deal.”

Sion engulfs you in a hug, the warm kind he’s always given you. His arms wrap around your waist as yours encircle his neck. As you hug the two of you confess how much you missed each other all year. When the hug breaks he kisses you again and you can feel the smile on his lips.

All of a sudden your attention is brought back to your previous task, realising the hot chocolate must be getting cold. Sion watches you with adoration in his eyes as you turn back to the counter to finish stirring. The adoration has always been there, you’re just beginning to notice it.

It’s christmas day, you’re standing in your kitchen with the boy you love, and you finally know he loves you just the same. You’re excited for new years day, and every christmas after, because each one will be spent with him.

within the first week of his attendance this boy somehow manages to get multiple love bites snuck into his food

the effects of them upon consumption were immediate

except usually when one eats a love candy, their feelings manifest for a single person

the problem sakuya has is he has no idea who he is in love with

he ate too many at once

the symptoms are there: the racing heart, the flushed cheeks, the stammering, the butterflies

he feels like he’s in love but the feelings aren’t associated with anyone at all

you, being sakuya’s close friend, have no choice but to search for a solution to his problem along with ryo

with a little research from the library, you diagnose sakuya to be lovesick

overdosed on love candies and now the symptoms are overwhelming, refusing to go away

and while it was a funny turn of events at first, it gets tiring fast

especially to saku who would do anything to get his heart to stop racing all the time :(

you and ryo decide to try possible cures

from solitary confinement to trying to get sakuya to actually fall in love, nothing seemed to work

until one day when you had a brilliant idea taken straight from all the classic old fairy tales

a kiss

ryo, of course refusing to kiss his best friend, throws the task to you while sakuya sits there flustered the entire time

you muster yourself to press a kiss to his cheek

you didn’t expect it to work, and neither did ryo or sakuya

but the indicators of his condition seem to slowly fade away

ʚɞ you and sion have been dating for a while now. as time went by, you had gotten a lot closer with his members as well. being the same age as sion, the others were a bit younger than you. naturally feeling the sisterly instinct to take care of the younger ones, you often find yourself making food, getting them their favorite snacks whenever you visit their dorms, help them out with their house chores, making sure they take good care of their health by giving them vitamins etc etc. you didn't mind, not at all, you cared for the younger ones health just as much as you did for your boyfriend. sion loves the way you treat his members. being the leader and oldest of his group, he naturally takes on the dad role of the team and as you came in the picture; you made the perfect fit as the 'mom' of the group. sion was thankful for all the things you did for him and his team, coming over to their dorms with food to make sure they all eat well after a long day of practicing, dropping off drinks to take along whenever a day full of schedules followed the next day, showing interest in the things each member liked. whether you liked it or not, you always made sure each individual member felt comfortable around you. reminding sion over and over again why he fell in love with you to begin with.

yesterday was a day like many others. your boyfriend and his team had a long day at work, preparing hard for their upcoming japan tour. as the boys all walked in one after the other they quickly freshened themselves up to go to bed as soon as possible. calling it a day soon enough as each one of them was tired and in need of rest. your boyfriend, half asleep and ready to finally close his eyes, sent you a quick goodnight text. telling you he loves you and will update you tomorrow, since he was too tired to give you a small report on his day.

as the next morning arrives, you got up early and well to step out of the house. it's your boyfriends first day off after a couple weeks of overseas schedules and long practice days. before heading to his dorm, you stop by the store to get some things. you make sure to grab some coffee along the way as well since you know your boyfriend will definitely need one to start his day. upon arriving you notice the quiet silence that fills up the guys' apartment. the whole dorm still sound asleep, you smile to yourself, glad the boys got some well deserved rest. after all this time, you know your ways around their place. feeling comfortable in their home, you have no issue being the only one awake. setting down the bag of small groceries you did, you put the drinks in the fridge to keep them cold. fidgeting around in their kitchen you start to set up the things you need to make breakfast for you and the others. completely lost in your own thoughts you mindlessly prepare the food, not noticing the youngest boy walking in to the kitchen. only as the youngster stood right infront of you, you acknowledge his presence. "ohhh goodmorning saku. did you sleep well?!!" you said with a grin as you saw the sleepy state he was in. not much coming from him he just silently joined you as you continued on with the rest of the food. as time passed by, more members woke up one by one. the smell of freshly baked french toast started filling up the air as well as yummy pancakes. greeting you as soon as they stepped in the kitchen, each member thanked you for the breakfast you made. the chairs at the table were taken as the boys sat down, ready to eat!! all.. expect for one. "noona, i think sion-hyung needs a human alarm clock to be awakened from his sleep" riku laughs as he takes his first bite.

as the room filled up with the guys slowly getting more energized and awake, the sound of laughter and chatting soon becomes louder and louder. as you smile upon the view infront of you, you decide to make your way to your boyfriends room. the room was quiet with only the little bit of sunshine peeking through the blinds. enough to see the sleeping figure on the bed. as you silently laughed, you walk inside the room. not wanting to wake him up just yet, you open the blinds to let the morning sunshine in completely. as you look over to your bf, who did not move one inch even though the bright lights filled up the whole room now, you cannot help but smile. sitting on the side of his bed you are contemplating whether to wake him up or let him sleep a bit longer. as you reached out to brush away some of the hair that covers his face, you feel your bf leaning in to your touch. "morning.." he says with his eyes closed, voice still hoarse. "goodmorning, i didn't want to wake you up but i made breakfast for you guys" you lean down to give your sleepy bf a quick kiss. as you come back up, you feel two arms holding you in place. "mmh just 5 more minutes please.." you giggled, "ok you can stay in bed 5 more minutes, but make sure to come out soon enough before the others eat all the food!" you said while holding back your laughter to the view of your bf fighting the bright light. "noooo, with you. 5 more minutes with you.." not planning on letting you go just yet, sion pulls you even closer as he pulls you to lay down next to him. not being able to refuse his cute whiny request, you laid down and brushed your hands over his face once more.

"mmh i don't think i am hungry" sion says as he pulls you impossibly closer. "yes you are!!! i made so much yummy food, you have to try!!" you said, playfully offended by your boyfriends statement. "i think yushi will have finished all the food before i can even get to the table" sion groans as he feels you sitting up straight. "cmon!!! get up, you have to eat!!!" you pushed your boyfriends arms away as you laughed at his state. no attempts were made as sion just laughed and rolled onto his back. "no i was joking, they will leave some for me" he pulled his blanket all the way up to his neck before you snatched it off again. giggling to yourself as your boyfriends eyes shut open by the sudden action, you took both his hands and tried pulling him up from his laying position. "nooo baby please, you said 5 more minutes!!" trying to pull you back down by using his weight in his advantage, you stand your ground and yank his arms once more. "cmon sionnn i promise you can stay in bed all day afterwards!!!" you laughed at your bf as he groans by the thought of getting up. "if you get up now, we can watch that one movie you wanted to see later!" there was no need to repeat your words again since your bf almost jumped up immediately after you said that. eating breakfast now to rush back to bed again afterwards to stay in and watch movies with you?? suddenly the man was hungry and could not wait to try out the food you made for him.

laughing at your boyfriends sudden rushed awakening, you get pulled off the bed as well. "pinky promise, no games or play time with the others first" sion says as he stretches his arms before pulling you close in a hug again, leaning down to rest his head on top of yours. "just movies with the two of us?? mmh i will have to consider the pros and cons" you jokingly said laughing at the way you feel your bf squeeze you a little tighter. "promise, otherwise i am not moving" sion says. "ok ok ok i promise. but first breakfast!!! i even got you coffee!!" you replied to which your bf almost immediately let go of you and walked to the door; "hurry baby, i have places to be" he said as he walked through the door. laughing at your bf, you followed him back to the kitchen. once again being welcomed by a full table, this time all seats taken as your bf took his spot on the head of the table.

walking to the fridge to take out the coffee you got for your bf, you make your way to the table and finally sit down as well. sion, thanking you for the coffee, put his hand on your thigh to give it a quick squeeze as he starts eating. looking around at the left overs the younger members left for you to eat, you smile by the thought of them eating well and enjoying your food. taking your first bite yourself, ryo, why was sitting next to you, started excitedly talking about the things he had done the day before. listening to the younger one, you finish eating and put your chopsticks down, satisfied with your full belly and so immersed in your conversation with ryo, you didn't notice the others started cleaning up already. "ohhh you guys, i will clean up. you can go wash you and do your things!!" you said as the youngsters were chaotically trying to clean up their dishes.

as you were putting away the washed dishes, you felt a pair of arms sneaking around your waist. sion rested his head in the crook of your neck, you smiled at your boyfriends actions. "sionnnn i cannot clean like this" you giggled as your bf only snuggled his face even further into your neck. "mmmh it's clean y/n, very clean, has never looked better" he said as he kisses the exposed skin on your neck. laughing at the clingy boy, you put down the last few things and turn around to face your boyfriend. taking a moment to look at his pretty face, you put your arms around his neck, smiling up to your bf. sion, returning the same look on his own face, leans down as he kisses you. one.. two.. three pecks before he pulls back to lean his forehead against yours. "thank you for making us breakfast y/n, you really are the best" he says before locking your lips in another sweet kiss. a bit longer this time, fully taking in the sweet taste of your lips on his. moving your hands from behind his neck to cup his face, you smile into the kiss. feeling your boyfriends hands find their way to either side of your hips, you pull back. sion, following your lips with his, opens his eyes to look at you. once again, wondering what he did to deserve such amazing girlfriend like you.

putting your hands on his shoulders and giving him a little tap, you say; "so!!! ryo said he wanted to show me his new plushies!!! i have places to be!!" you giggled as you quickly escape your boyfriends hold and run out of the kitchen. sion who was frozen on the spot, left in disbelief for a little second, rushed out of the kitchen, running after you as you were laughing when he caught up to you and pulled you in his grip again. "nice try, you are mine the rest of the day!!!" he laughed as he walked you to his room again. "noona. do you want to play on my switch together?" sakuya asked as he walked out of his room looking for you. "your noona is already booked for today, saku, go ask ryo to play" sion said laughing as he opened the door to his bedroom, still holding you as he follows behind you. "i will play with you later saku, ok!!" you yell as your boyfriend was quick to let out a; "no she won't!!!" before he fully closes the door. leaving the maknae standing in the opening of his own bedroom looking over to yushi and riku who were already settled and cozy on the couch, watching the whole scene unfold. "i don't think noona will play with you today" yushi says as the youngest looks at him with visible question marks on his face to which riku laughingly adds; "you will understand when you get your own girlfriend"

okay i said id come here and now i rly am here HEHE okay so yk how their storyline is like they're students at the cupid academy like i think SO WHAT IF jaehee (bcuz um i love him but i could def see this working w ryo too just someone maknae line) hes new to the academy and he instantly gets a crush on the reader like soooo bad and the rest of the members try to help him out with a bunch of different love potions or arrow techniques so he can get you to fall in love w him as well but every time it just doesn't work LMAO but reader eventually catches on to what hes trying to do but she likes him as well so <33 they're so cute just look at them 🥹🥹🥹 (they'd all be scheming for a new plan while jaehee is in the corner crushing so bad and having a crisis)

jaehee’s plan was perfect and simple. make a potion, make you fall in love, boom. happily ever after. 

that was in theory, though. (as most of his plans are). 

he was still quite new at the cupid academy, definitely with the least experience. and, to be frank, his knowledge was only theoretical. 

because the textbook said that the love potion will make a person fall in love with someone who gave it to them. 

so while you were sipping on a raspberry smoothie jaehee brought you, he was looking at you with expectation in his ebony eyes. 

“why are you staring so much? am i dirty somewhere?” you asked, wiping your face “or is there a seed in my teeth…?” 

you wiped out a mirror and put away the smoothie. the pink liquid looked - and tasted - normal. 

jaehee looked over at his friends and shook his head gently. sion looked at the textbook, pointing out to sakuya that the effects should be visible right away. 

“no, no. i’m just curious if it’s tasty” he hummed, and saw that you’re drinking it again. 

“it is! do you wanna try?” you asked with a happy smile. 

“no, i’m full. but thank you” he said shyly and you just shrugged.

“my class will start soon… so if you don’t mind, i’ll keep going. thank you for the smoothie!” shooting him a wide grin, you ran off to your classroom. 

his friends walked up to him once you were out of sight, ryo looking suspiciously.

“maybe the proportions were off? he sighed “that was supposed to work right away…”

“no, they definitely were right. and it’s okay to mix it with other beverages so i don’t know what went wrong…”

 

jaehee was persistent, though. he liked you, quite a lot. you were yushi’s neighbor and were new to the academy too. even though he’d say you were good friends, he still got shy talking to you. maybe it was your stunning beauty… or amazing knowledge… or angel-alike personality… he didn’t know but there was just something breathtaking about you and he wanted to get to know you more. 

maybe it was a bit weird to use all the love techniques on you but hey, they’re allowed to use it on other humans as well! 

so, right now, he was holding his bow with one eye closed. arm tensed and straightened, the pink heart-shaped arrow aimed at you. 

“just be careful and don’t hit their friend!” ryo snickered, munching on bread (that he stole from sakuya)

“i know, genius” jaehee grunted, taking a deep breath. they planned out two ways of using the arrows: one - putting a spell on it that will cause you to fall in love with jaehee. he just had to shoot it at you. two - someone else shooting a normal love arrow and then you fall in love with the first person you touch. so, jaehee would accidentally trip and fall on you. 

“ready?” riku asked quietly. all of the boys stood above jaehee, his palms starting to get sweaty. 

“3…2…1…” sakuya counted down and jaehee released the arrow with a quiet whoosh! ripping through the air. the arrow head went perfectly through your heart, poofing with a small heart-shaped cloud. 

but nothing changed. you were still chatting with your friend, laughing at something they just said. 

“it touched them, right?” jaehee asked, unsure. 

“it literally did!” ryo whined, plopping his head down “what are we doing wrong?”

“maybe it’s not us but them…?” yushi asked quietly, earning a scolding look from sion “what?” 

“entry one: second chance with a heart arrow. subject j: over here” sakuya panned the camera to jaehee, who was in the corner and fidgeted nervously with his fingers. then he moved it to you “subject y/n: here. action: start!”

he looked with a grin at yushi, who was holding the bow this time.

“can you… stop putting the camera in my face…” he mumbled teasingly, catching eye contact with jaehee. he nodded and released the arrow, straight through your heart.

jaehee quickly walked to you, patting your arm.

one of the signs that the arrow worked should be the target’s pupils shaping into hearts for a minute. but your’s were… normal.

“oh, jae! hi! how are you? you’ve been acting strange lately” you hummed and hugged him as a greeting, the boy freezing for a moment.

his friends, hidden, started exchanging satisfied looks.

“yeah… um… no, i’m fine. how are you, though?” he asked, scratching his neck nervously. maybe at this point he should just give up? or confess? oh, but that’s way worse… the fear of rejection is way too real.

“--are you even listening?” 

his ebony eyes widened and cheeks dusted with pink.

“sorry, i uh… no, i wasn’t. sorry” jaehee admitted quietly. you just giggled and grabbed his hand, pushing him to sit down next to you.

“it’s okay. i said i need to tell you something. do you have time now?” you repeated, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. 

“yeah! is it… some bad news? you look serious” jaehee tilted his head and for a second his heart halted. what if you caught on and wanted to expose him?

“you know, lovе is driving me a bit insane. which is ironic, considering we’re at the cupid academy. but i have to get this off my chest and i'm telling you today” you mumbled, looking at the ground. blood ran to your cheeks, not still fully processing that you’re doing this “that when i talk to you… it’s like cupid walks right through and shoots an arrow through my heart”

jaehee froze completely; unlike his heart, going million kilometers per hour

“and i sound like a loon, but don't you feel it too?” you asked, finally meeting his eyes.

a sweet giggle escaped your lips and you shook your head

“i mean, you must have since you started using all those techniques on me”

“whoops” jaehee gulped, embarrassment coloring his face in a cute apple-shaded red. he shrugged shyly “you got me crazy, blame it on stupid cupid”

you snickered and leaned closer, pecking his cheek gently. 

“that’s why it didn’t work, by the way. you know, the basic rule? i already had a crush on you, and if only… it got stronger. not sure if it was because of the potions tho” you grinned and stood up “so? are you gonna invite me to a date?”

“yes! of course!” he sat straight, eyes lighting up “i’ll take you on a date that youl’ll never forget!” he grinned.

“good” you nodded “now if you don’t mind, i need to go. bye, loverboy” 

with a cute wave you ran off, giggling to yourself.

jaehee touched his cheek that was kissed before and turned his gaze to his friends, who crawled out of their hiding spot.

sakuya turned the camera at himself, not aware that he’s filming only he half of his face “it worked!”

“well, actually–” jaehee started but his voice was muffled by his friends closing him in a bear hug and their yells.
