... Then I found out my comic collection from MD to VA, to NV, to FL, to NY got waterlogged. That TN weather really did it, and I'd been through two tropical storms in FL and bullshit weather in LA. Anothrr reason to say fuck Knoxville :

Def not the same as the crates I had collected from 8 yrs. - 21yrs. back in my Cali origins before I ever jumped off the proverbial porch of my "home" State.

Not tossing the books just yet. Reminds me of acid washed, fourth wall breaking books like in Multiversity.

Broke my heart when I found the waterlog, especially since I took time to curate a collection of books featuring Negroid protagonists, instead of my original crates growing up which were not so racially concerned or cornered. Back when I was collecting and I didn't really recognize the gatekeeping in yet another industry commandeered by Caucazoid's in this European country used for subtle propaganda.

Simpler times as a comic book head indeed. Even though those crates I had to give up because I was being gentrified out of my state of origin, like so many Cali headz before me, it was still simpler times.

and I didn't even include magical boy anime (which isn't as rare as some people think)

look. a subgenre going in a direction you don't like for a while doesn't make it "dead". reboots, sequels, prequels, and stuff like that are the trend in all sorts of media, not just magical girl anime.

also, there are all sorts of cool magical girl works that aren't anime, and i don't just mean manga and light novels. there's live-action stuff, VNs, webcomics, written works, cartoons from countries other than japan...

and guess what? i'm not against dark magical girl stuff by any means. madoka magica was what got me into magical girl stuff in the first place! i love all sorts of magical girl media, both light and dark, though i don't claim to be an expert by any means. there's still so much stuff i haven't watched/read/played...

anyway, the anime listed here include Artiswitch, Kuromajo-san ga Tooru, Little Witch Academia, Fantasista Doll, Magia Wars, SHY, Hina Logi: From Luck and Logic, Matoi the Sacred Slayer, I've Had Enough of Being a Magical Girl, Urahara, Flip Flappers, Six Hearts Princess, Magical Girl Kurumi, The Demon Girl Next Door, and Mewkledreamy. The upcoming ones are Magical Girl Aiko, Princess Session Orchestra, Acro Trip, Magilumiere, The Magical Girl and the Evil Lieutenant Used to be Enemies, and an unnamed magical girl anime from Studio Pierrot

I'm actually so sad about Luke's injury. I know being the start of the season it's not the end of the world and I know the devils have more defensive depth this year but I'm so disappointed for him. From the pictures it looks like he worked really hard this off season (those thighs 😳) and it must be so frustrating to get injured a couple of weeks before camp.

I was just reading nico's interview before the news was released about how he thought Luke was going to have a big year this year and now he's going to have to start on the back foot urgh (of course he can still have a big year but it's just not ideal to start this way) I'm hoping it's closer to the 6 weeks rather than 8

yeah for sure anon. it is disappointing that he isn't starting the season, and even more so the way we found out. i hope he's getting lots of love from those around him, and he will be back soon!

in the meantime, we can munch on headcanons about what he might be doing during his rehab time. is he playing video games? learning a new hobby? the possibilities are endless.
