I had an idea earlier today and I want to share it to the world

Pred has a voodoo doll of their prey and they like to eat it so the prey can feel all comfy while still doing their own thing

This has been sitting in my inbox for so long (both of these), but here y'all go. I wanted to make something for it but was stumped on what exactly until, like, two days ago

Malleus heard about the human concept of voodoo dolls and the superstitions around them, and wanted to try to help make Syn feel less stressed

The only issue is that he was trying to surprise them with this 'gift' of potential comfort, and suddenly feeling warm and compressed out of nowhere is probably a very jarring feeling, so here's a very sketchy animatic of Syn's reaction that I just can't make myself finish apparently lmao (audio from Snapcube)

Ooooh, Syn, you have no mercy at all. That’s a tough one, but I’ll give it a try! As always, a simple question turned into a bit of a yap session:

1) This is hands down the easiest one. A no-brainer. Season 3, my beloved. Absolutely batshit INSANE in the best way possible. Fascinating on a conceptual level; very Olivia-heavy outside of the procedural setting; the unspeakable Horrors; Anna’s acting????? Like, I knew she was phenomenal, but she just blew my tits off there with all the Olivias.

My only issue with it is them kind of brushing off the level of trauma she experienced and kind of making it more about Peter’s pain after she came back??? Like, she kept consoling him and her having issues with their relationship was treated as an almost irrational problem which she had to overcome on her own. She deserved far more support than she got. Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth.

But all in all s3 was incredibly fun and engaging, I was constantly gobsmacked, flabbergasted, on the edge of my seat etc. And I binged it like crazy

2) Season 2. Loads of Olivia lore, Jacksonville, crackling Peter/Olivia tension, proper beginning of the alternative reality arc, etc.

3) Season 5. I really liked the overarching Observers plot and how different it was from the other seasons both in tone and in format (darker, more intense and no procedural element). My main problem with it was the fact that it felt like it focused mainly on Walter and Peter and Olivia was sort of just there most of the time, her main role being The Mother. She just followed others’ lead. That’s why it’s not higher on my list.

4) Season 4. After the exiting hurricane that was s3 it felt a bit… underwhelming. And it did feel like they kind of used a lot of the same tricks and points they did before. And the whole William Bell possessing Olivia thing seemed like it should’ve been an incredibly traumatic expirience considering Olivia’s history but was kind of brushed off and even turned into a positive. Go figure.

A lot of great moments too though, like Olivia’s personality being gradually replaced and her falling for Peter while she tries to deny it and then him trying to push her away. The writers putting agent Dunham through the Horrors in yet another timeline! The almost completely silent sex scene (apart from the kind of weird dialogue) lives in my mind rent free bc of how funny it was (to me) and, well, bc it was the only sex scene between them and I’ll take what I can get.

5. Season 1. Honestly, nothing major against it, I guess I just cared for the characters more the more I learned about them and it was only the beginning. Plus there’s not much in the Peter/Olivia department. Plus I really didn’t care for John Scott lmao
