Notes for the fifth and final chapter of my Green Lantern fic Fear and What Follows: Fear Remains, But So Does Your Kindness. This has some worldbuilding notes and GL headcannons i included in my fic as well as thoughts about the chapter so you dont need to read the fic to read and enjoy this.

I didn’t want to write them as fearless bc like, no one is truly fearless. And if they never felt any fear that locks off a lot of emotions. being a GL is about overcoming great fear, not being fearless. They feel fear, they just can overcome it easier! Thats why Chance died, he gave into fear-

Titans Teams in my au!!

So the Titans are divided into A and B, but they do also work together a lot!

Titans A: Donna, Dick, Wally, Garth, Roy

Titans B: Gar, Vic, Rachel, Kori, and Karen

Titans West (not yet established at this point in the story but they are brewing!): was supposed to have Jason as the leader with Connor, Jackson, and Joey but Jason died. M’gann is added a bit after Jason dies, and later Jaime, and Kelli are added.

With the whole debate about the Parallax retcon, i decided I like both versions so i mixed it. Parallax wasn’t able to completely take over Hal, so everything that Hal did as Parallax was a group effort. You get to decide how much Hal would’ve done without Parallax

This fic actually wasn’t going to be written at all, but my friend BETRAYED me so I wrote this as a revenge fic. It was just supposed to be the scene in chapter three where Hal is helping Kyle get free from Parallax, but this turned into a 5 chapter 36k word fic so I hope u guys enjoyed this! But my point here is supposed to be, there are some plot points such as Kyle not sharing his name or face with the other lanterns yet and what happened between Kyle and Titans A bc thats gonna be explored in an other fic im writing! no official name yet, but its under the code name T7 for now but is another Kyle centric thingy with Fab 5 and Kara (pov switch between Kyle, Donna, Wally and Dick), and ofc Kyle interacting with the other Lanterns. So you should totoally follow me if you want updates on that

I would say propaganda is encouraged on this, but given that DC ages her like they age Tim, I don’t feel comics are reliable with her so go with what you feel like.

Oh and just to be clear on which retcon for Babs, I’m talking about her being 25 while Dick was still teen and Bruce was early thirties.

Sheamus looked at Y/N in shock as she stood outside the ring. A hail of boos was thrown at her. He swore he heard a couple of fabs yell curses at her. A part of him believed she deserved it. She just cost him the title match.

The jumbotron showed her betrayal for the audience to react once more. Sheamus ran to the ropes to get extra momentum. He was going to perform a brogue kick on the champion, Damian Priest. As soon as his back hit the ropes, Y/N grabbed his ankle. He tripped and fell onto the mat.

Damian helped Sheamus up and performed a chokeslam. He covered Sheamus. The ref counted one, two, three, and the match was finished. The champion retained, and his reign continued on.

Y/N shrugged as more of the fans yelled at her. She jogged up the ramp to meet Damian. His championship belt hoisted high in the air as if he did it all on his own.

"Congratulations," Y/N squealed and wrapped her arms around his neck. Damian used his free arm to wrap around her. They separated and looked at each other.

"You did wonderfully, mi corazon," he complimented. A playful smirk tugged at his lips. They leaned in and kissed. The fans turned on her even more.

"Wait until they see this," Y/N laughed and unzipped her sweater. She grabbed each side and opened it wider. Her shirt read All Rise El Campeon on it.

Now the world knew, she was the newest member of Judgment Day.

top 5 dc writers & top 5 dick grayson writers pretty plssss

i feel like this q has to come with a big * beside each name because most of these writers have written twice as many terrible comics as they have good. like chuck dixon is a foundational writer for dick (and tim and connor) and he’s also a violent turbo-fascist who’s made the industry indescribably more toxic. devin grayson’s run on nightwing 1996 is an exercise in her weird racist fetish, but she also wrote for titans 1999, one of the better fab 5 comics. grant morrison wrote batman and robin 2009, and irreversibly butchered the popular interpretation of talia al ghul, etc.

so take these with a grain of salt —

1. mark waid — this should be obvious imo. there’s really no competition. the writing (for dick in specific) in worlds finest blows everything else out of the water rn. he can balance large casts well, his version of the titans was fun, he has an obvious knowledge of comic canon. i wish he’d pick up the ongoing nightwing solo and give back dick’s personality.

2. kelley puckett - unironically wrote the best run of all time. no one has done it like him before or since. i need him to come back and write for cass again (or damian). would love to see him write the dick + damian + talia dynamic.

3. scott snyder — this man wrote black mirror (the best dickbats story) and court of owls (which ruined everything). he's three dimensional. he is my enemy. he is not allowed to worldbuild unsupervised.

4. greg rucka — i met him at a con once and he was a very chill dude. he's an ally. he's always wearing a hat. no man's land, u will always be famous.

5. judd winick — this man either writes something that changes the status quo (utrh) or one of the worst books ever (titans 2008). no inbetween. he's a freak. he wants tim drake and kon-el to kiss. honorary ment for being another guy that ruined talia. he does get points for writing outsiders (2003).
