     A glance up to the sky sees the silhouette of her Drifblim, blurred by clouds and mist and filtered sunlight, making their descent from the peak. Good. The weather further up must not be too horrific. Although, she would not put it past him to brave things that would render others a panicked, shivering mess, and somehow come out unscathed— even if they all know the discovery of him having done so would put him through an unrelenting, verbal wringer. And perhaps he would not put it past her to do the same, just to make sure a prolonged silence was not the worst case scenario.

          "Hikari and I can go up there ourselves. During heavy snowfall. We'll find you and stand just far away enough so when we shout, you'll think it's your own guilty conscience telling you to come down and see your friends. The entire way back. It'll be hilarious."

     She speaks at a lagging pace, tone forced flat and so matter-of-fact that it might turn into some painstaking, grating mess of a jest when stripped of quality over the distance between them. And when she finishes, the hum of static settles in the air. A common filler— a sound that both could ease stiffened shoulders or stir up the most sickening feeling in its length. Her gaze casts itself to the floor, the tip of a boot pushing up a crescent of dirt along where she imagines once was the edge of a path.

          "...Do you want me to get anything for you? Food? Gloves?"

Mikoto smiled as she came up beside her son, placing her hand on his arm as she drew near. “You didn’t think you were spending today alone, did you?” She drew him in for a hug and then stood on the tips of her toes just to kiss his cheek. “Happy birthday, dear.” She stepped back and took a moment to stare up at him with affection. He was so tall, just as tall as the Ryoma she knew. They were so alike in many ways and different in so many others. Yet he was still Ryoma, still her son. Unshed tears watered her eyes, the emotion of the moment, of knowing how much he’d been through alone, overwhelmed her, but instead she smiled wider and reached up to pat his cheek affectionately. “Here, I made your favorite. I was hoping we could eat together.” She offered him a clothed box that was filled with seafood and rice. “You still have time for your mother, don’t you,” she asked with a playful smile. Of course he did, but she couldn’t help but tease a little. (from @vallamaiden — for Ryoma's birthday i am NOT late in replying to this shhh)

Truthfully, he had expected to spend his birthday alone. Ryoma was still in shock that he wasn't alone at Garreg Mach. His banishment was almost useless; he still had family here. He had his mother. He didn't like making a fuss over his birthday, but it was useless to tell Mikoto this.

"Mother," he sighed, pretending he was too grown up for his mother's kisses. He was beyond the age of being cradled by her, but he still enjoyed it. Not that he should really admit that. Was anyone ever truly too old for their mother? He wanted to scoop her up and never let go but, well, he'd shown enough pathetic emotion in public for her.

He took the box and looked down at it. He couldn't remember the last time he had food made by his mother? When had they last eaten together? He didn't know that he yearned for this until the box was in his hands. He inhaled sharply, trying to keep it together. He could not keep falling apart like that. Yet Mikoto knew just how to get to him; her presence was enough to allow him to be himself.

"Don't be silly, I'll always have time for you." He gestured for her to sit. "I don't think I can wait another minute, though. We should eat."

The day Yuu introduced any of Octavinelle trio as their mate (Let alone all 3 or just 2), a part of their soul dies 1. Beacuse he knows they mate for life and 2. Beacuse on the list of suitable suitors for his dear pup all of Octavinelle was on the bottom in the F tier. He has a slight heart attack and gives "the dad talk" to them.

"Them?"

"Yes"

"Them. Out of all the pups in the school you chose THEMMMM"

Then on the complete Opposite end, if Yuu introduces Kalim as their partner Crewel is happy. He was in the A teir for suitors beacuse he is the goodness Boi.

S tier is Vil but he is happy his puppy ended up with someone who wasn't a criminal.

Ah, I love assigning Crewel as the dad against his will. I do believe that he and Trein out of the staff are the best parental figures to Yuu. Let's be honest, Sam is like an older cool brother, Vargas is your way too into sports uncle, and Crowley is the dad that you don't call your dad anymore cause he was a really shitty dad. I imagine his relationship with Yuu is closer to bickering siblings with a maaaaasive age gap.

Anyways, yes Crewel has a tier list:

His main priority is making sure that you end up with someone who has/will have a good foundation to take care of you, especially since you don't have any family (other than him now) to be your support if something goes wrong. Is other priorities are that they will be generally good to you, you'll be in no danger, and that they're responsible.

S tier is Vil, you're correct. Vil is one of his top students, is respectful, has a wonderful taste in fashion and makeup, makes good money even now, and comes from a good family. Crewel knows that with Vil, his pup will be taken care of! This is simialr with Trey, someone who is doting and kind and also comes from a good family), and Riddle. He thinks Riddle is good, hard worker that will be loyal and dedicated to you, as well as provide a solid home and family. Even if his mother's a bitch, he has a good background and lineage... plus you'd live near him over school breaks.

I actually don't think he'd have that much of an issue with Azul. Yes, he can be shady, but Azul does well in school, is very motivated to become a great business owner, and has a good family that owns a restaurant. The others in this section are also solid people who Crewel thinks would cherish and care for you. Deuce is probably the most surprising… but Deuce is very earnest and cares very deeply for his family. While he may not have the best track record, and doesn't have a rich family, Deuce cares very deeply and will make sure that his partner is happy no matter what. Thus, Crewel approves.

Neutral is pretty self-explanatory, but the “ooh, really?” is very interesting, as it's filled with arguably the richest and prominent students. Which is why he does not like them. Kalim regularly deals with assassination attempts, Leona is an arrogant second-born prince from a nation with numerous issues, and Malleus is the crown-prince of an isolated nation that is known to not like humans. He'd be worried about any sort of stress you'd be under, especially since you'd be publicized, and while he trusts Vil to keep a tight grip on the tabloids due to his career, he can't extend the same courtesy to what are quite frankly political figures. He knows that they have the means, family, and personality to love you. Arguably, these three are the type that once they fall, they fall hard and become devoted to their partner. But… still… are you sure you wanna get with them?

For the bottom tier…. Yeah. The twins are shady troublemakers, and while Azul at least has a good family, Crewel can figure nothing out about the Leech family or what they do. They enjoy scaring other students, and while Jade at least does well in school, he and Floyd are just not what he thinks you deserve. Ace is… well… Ace. Rook, as much as he enjoys having him in class and in the science club, is a bit too eccentric for his tastes. He'd be worried about Rook drawing the line between love and obsession. Finally, Idia is just a shut in who has little to no social skills, bad habits, and lives very far away. Crewel firmly believes that you'd become some sort of house spouse cleaning after a man-child, too busy with his games to help you out.

Overall, though, Crewel knows that he can't control who his pup falls for, but he can give a very solid shovel talk with a very solid warning about what happens to bad dogs that don't treat their partners right.

Every time I heard tankies saying Israel isn't a real state, illegitimate for being young, or using wordplay of Israel letters to be offensive, I will always remember this:

As soon as she finished speaking, the little guy swam towards her team, who was actually managing to proceed well in the battle: the mage girl did hit some nice damage, the priest was doing their best to keep the team alive and the blondish archer did blow another good shot at the enemy team; everything was going smoothly and even Minerva could feel that she was on the verge of doing something very good and important.

She observed the enemy for a long moment, almost ignoring the painful sting that came from the fictional spikes, but she knew what she had to do now: the exact instant after the sting, the barrier holding the Macedon princess was no longer a threat and the red-haired woman was once again free to do whatever she pleased. And that was the moment she realised she still hasn’t done anything concretely against the enemy team.

She smirked, firmly tightening the grip on her axe, then she started to run towards the magician enemy, the one resembling a star; she jumped, slowly because still underwater, but that actually helped her picking a more precise spot to hit, smashing the axe against the frail body of the unfortunate enemy.

Minerva is no longer affected by Held Under! Minerva gains 1 stack of Azure Spike [Total: 2] Butterfly Wings heals Minerva [+0.5HP, Minerva 6.5/10HP] Smash activates! Minerva 6.5/10HP critically hits Nocturna Stella 8.5/10HP with Killer Axe [Roll: 10 - 2 = 8; -6HP, Nocturna Stella 2.5/10HP] Nocturna Stella 2.5/10HP counters with Darker Than Dusk [Roll: 4 - 6 & 8 - 6 = -2, 2, miss & hit, -1.5HP, Minerva 5/10HP]

The sequences of the actions was so fast that even Minerva almost did not realize the bravery and the idiocy she threw herself against an enemy so fiercely: the smashing was so hard that the spirit almost fell on the ground, losing the balance for a moment, but responsive enough to deal a magic attack as well, though not on the first turn, since it took a little moment to properly get up again. In the meanwhile, Minerva was too fired up to even noticed the damage.

“Is that all you can do?!” she yelled at it, shaking the axe in front of it. “Bring it on!”

In my opinion, I've always seen a reflection between Jessica and Hobie.

[A SHORT post where I ponder about Jess and Hobie a bit]

It's so incredibly subtle - but balanced, in big and small ways.

For one, they both can be considered some of the only 'plain clothes' Spider-people.

It's ironic that Jessica is the only one who chooses to openly show her face, meanwhile in the comics - Hobie chose to actually show his face.

They both have natural hair, very strong in their standing and morals. They're willing to joke - with people they like and respect as equals - ignoring the people they don't:

Jessica jokes with Miguel, but doesn't speak to Miles directly. Hobie jokes with Miles right away, but doesn't speak to Miguel directly.

Personality wise, they have the same foundations - They're head-strong, and confident, organized, and considered leaders to the people around them - often being idolized by people they first meet (In Jess's case, Gwen - and in Hobie's, Miles).

Yet, we never really see this in action!!!

The two don't even really look at each other - I'm not even sure they like each other. They share two exchanges - one in which Jessica ignores him.

And the second, Hobies outright defiant towards her.

But-

They're both mentors to Gwen. Throughout the story, it's Gwen who's their focus.

They both offer her housing in one way or another-

And each time Gwen was stranded in her universe - it was either Jess or Hobie that came to her rescue.

Hobie's looking out for his drummer, Jessica with her star pupil.

So much could be said for their style of mentoring, the support they give to Gwen and how it affects her, and how it reflects truths within the Black community.

But to do that we'd have to clear up the dirt y'all be throwing on Jessica's name cause I AIN'T HAVING IT I REFUSE
