Hey doll hey!! How’s your day/night going? Great I hope. I woke up early today for a change. I still feel extremely stiff and have a heap of joint pain (thank’s a lot Rheumatoid Arthritis) but I had a bit more energy today, which was wonderful!! Since I was feeling a bit stiff today I decided to just do another quick go to makeup look again, I also have to find the energy to do another Olaplex treatment, my poor hair would not work for me today. . Let’s jump into the Face of the Day ….

Base: I primed my face using Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer (). I color corrected just the inner corner of my under eyes using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in Brightening Peach. For foundation today I’m using the same combo I wore yesterday …. 3 pumps of BECCA Backlight Priming Filter () and 4 pumps Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation () in the shade 4.5 Medium. I used the smallest amount (4 dots on each under eye) of Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer () in the shade Vanilla for my under eyes. I lightly set my full face using Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I warmed up my face using the same product from yesterday…. MAC Bronzing Powder () in Matte Bronze. I did not bake at all today.

Eyes: I primed my lids using a light layer of NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer ($30 at Sephora) in the shade Medium 1 Custard and set that using a light layer of Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting The Tone Finishing Powder ($14.99 at Ulta) in the shade Light (I have also set this pressed powder aside for touch ups through out the day). For today’s very easy eye look I used the ColourPop X Karrueche Collaboration ($15 on their website) The Brown Sugar Palette. I ran the color Jamocha (mid-tone yellow brown matte) through my crease and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and buffed it up to the brow bone. I then used the color Ginger (golden peach metallic) over the remaining 2/3 of the mobile lid. I then deepened the outer v and outer 1/3 of the mobile lid using the shade Sorrel (deep cool brown matte). I then took the color Auburn (warm bronze metallic) and patted it over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the outer and inner 1/3 together. On the lower lash line I slightly blended more of the shade Jamocha along the lash line and then deepened the lash line using more of the shade Sorrel. I highlighted the inner corners using Hikari Cosmetics Creme Pigment ($15 on their website) in the shade Honeydew (an icy pink with purple flip). I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and filled the brows in using NYX Micro Brow Pencil ($7 at Ulta) in the shade Espresso. I carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then set that using the shade Chai (soft yellow beige matte) and then decided that this was not bright enough so I went back over it using some more of the Physicians Formula Natural Defense Setting The Tone Finishing Powder in the shade Light. I created a winged liner on the upper lash line using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($21 at Sephora) in the shade Mad Max Brown and then popped on a pair of Ardell Natural Lashes ($3.49 at Ulta) in the style #110. I tight lined the upper and lower waterlines using at 1st ColourPop Creme Gel Colour ($7 on their website) in the shade Stew and then followed that up with Believe Beauty Long Lasting Eyeliner ($3.50 at Dollar General) in the shade Mystic (a metallic rustic brown).I then topped off my top and bottom lashes using the Physicians Formula Lash Contortionist Mascara ($7.49 at Target) in the shade Ultra Black.

Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I’m wearing the same blush I wore yesterday, Burt’s Bees Blush ($9.99 at Ulta) in the shade Bare Peach. I again used the same highlighter from yesterday …. Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Powder ($44 at Sephora) in the shade Highlight 01 to highlight the center of my chin, tops of my cheeks, Cupid’s bow, bridge of the nose, and center of my forehead. I lined my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Lumiere (a dusty mauve pink) and filled in my lips using Loreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain ($11.99 at Ulta) in the shade #416 I Create (a soft coral nude).

Final Thoughts: The Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer is new to my collection, I received it from Amazon yesterday and was planning on saving it for my makeup haul post, but when I swatched it… it was so pretty I just had to use it. It’s very illuminating…. very. Not to the point that you look like a disco ball, but just enough that this isn’t a primer you can just wear on it’s own. It dries down completely and holds foundations beautifully. I like this primer much more than I like the Soft Focus Primer in the same line. I would grade this product an A+.

The Loreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain shade #416 I Create is also one of those new items I received this week from Ulta. I received it this morning in the mail and just couldn’t wait till my makeup haul post to play with it. First, this formula is by far my absolute favorite liquid matte formula. It feels like I have nothing on my lips but a tiny bit of lip balm. It wears down evenly and fades slightly throughout the day. It doesn’t bleed into the fine lines of the lips and doesn’t travel outside the lip line. This is the second of this formula I purchased and have another 6 sitting in my cart to purchase next month. I would grade this product an A+++!!! This is a lippie well worth the price tag.

Well…. that’s all for now dolls. I still am waiting on a package for products I purchased from Profusion Cosmetics to do my makeup haul post… in the meantime I also will be posting later on about the eye shadow brushes I purchased from this brand, I’m just letting them air dry a little bit more. One of the biggest (and in our opinion the most dangerous) beauty myths? People with darker skin tones do not need sun protection on a daily basis. But here’s the truth: although melanin provides some sun protection for darker skin tones, it is not enough to ward off these harmful rays. This means that anyone, regardless of skin tone, can develop skin cancer – which, according to a study by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, tends to result in worse outcomes for black women, as cancer is usually diagnosed at a later stage. Now we know that not all sunscreens are created equal – and in the past many of these options were not made with melanin in mind, making them look meaty and unfavorable. The good news, however, is that thanks to recent advances in innovative textures (think sticks and serums with a clear SPF, colorful creams and non-greasy gel formulas), more and more skin care companies are offering sunscreens that do not leave a white glow. (As a reminder, you don’t need a bottle of SPF 100; SPF 30 broadband is enough).

To help you choose an invisible SPF that’s right for you, we’ve found (and tested) the best sunscreens for darker skin tones, including a 50 SP tinted CC cream, a cheap sunscreen and moisturizer hybrid, a beautiful balm for lips with sun protection factor and sunscreen for and by women of color.

I’ve been meaning to post this on my blog for the past 3 weeks. I know I’ve been slacking off on posting some things in here but here it is. I am finally sharing with you guys my Sephora Mini Haul.

Okay first of all, I am very happy with all these purchases because I believe I saved tons of $ for these products.

Let’s start with Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Set.

It includes :

Photo Finish Foundation Primer -- Pore Minimizing

This became my absolute favorite when I first tried it. It minimizes my pores and it controls the oil on my T-zone. I had to go on an event for 15 hrs and my face didn’t get oily when I used this as my primer. Definitely worth your money and I still think you’re getting a lot of product even just for the travel size. I love how you don’t have to apply a lot of it to let its magic work on your face. I love this primer and I am definitely buying the full size of it once I finished this.

Photo Finish Primer Water

This is the first time that I used this kind of primer. So you can use this before putting anything on your face (served as a primer) or you can use this after doing your make up and use it as a setting spray. I loving using this for both, I even use it to wet my brush if I want to intensify some eyeshadow. It gives my skin a boost whenever I spray it on my face and having this full size for the price is such a steal! The value of this set is $42 and I got this for only $25. Such a sweet deal!

I wasn't sure what it is lol but it just didn't worked out for me. It glides easily and it wasn't streaky or drying. The shade was my only issue but my sister actually liked it so I gave it to her instead. - 0.03 oz/ 1 g Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Spice Girl (pink nude) I was scared to try this lip injection because I heard lots of people saying that this burned their lips. I still gave it a try and it did burn my lips a little. Lol! But it wasn't to the point that it was unbearable. It was okay and I agree that it gives you that tingly feeling to your lips and it lasted for a while but it definitely made my lips plumper. I guess this lipgloss holds the slogan : no pain, no gain. LOL!

- 0.17 oz/ 5.3 mL Urban Decay Vice Waterproof Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Trivial (matte pink nude) Not sure if I like this or not. It says matte pink nude on the description but it looked like it has a metallic finished when I applied it to my lips. It kind of gives me the 80's make up look when you're using this. I'm going to play more with it and see how I like it.

Sephora Collection : Colorful Wink-It Felt Liner Waterproof

I got the Little Black Dress and for $14 it does its job. It is waterproof, doesn’t smudge and I find it very easy to clean when I made a mistake applying it. I do love this however, there are times that it’s a little spotty but it’s fixable. I am actually planning on getting another one just in case I run out of this eye liner because I’ve been using it every single day.

Hey doll hey. How are you today? Good I hope. I’m having an OK Fibromyalgia day… low pain day and have a few spoons left.

Today I will be reviewing the full line (minus a lip product) of Benefit Cosmetics. I decided to do just 1 post today because I’m running low on spoons and this makeup day has put me in a bad mood…. Spoiler ….. I truly hated applying makeup today… read on and you’ll understand why….

BASE: I primed my face using the Benefit The POREfessional Hydrating Primer ($13 for the mini on their website). I didn’t color correct so that I could test out the concealer to see how well it covered. I concealed using the Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer ($13 for the mini on their website) in the color No. 5. I purchased 2 foundations to try so today I chose Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation ($10 for the mini on their website) in the color 4 Medium Neutral. I set my full face using the Benefit Hello Happy Velvet Powder Foundation ($30 on their website) in the color 4 Medium Neutral. I bronzed using the Benefit Hoola Bronzer (it came as part of a trio for $30 on the Beautylish website).

EYES: I primed my eyes with Tarte Shape Tape ($25 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey. I set the Shape Tape with Wet n Wild Color Icon ($.99 at Walgreens) in the color Brulee. I started to try and do an eye look with the Benefit Vanity Flare Nude Eyeshadow Palette ($34 on the Beautylish website) but it was just a horrible mess, so I took off my makeup and started again…. I pulled in my Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette ($25 on their webstie and at Nordstrom Rack) and after priming and setting the primer with Brulee …AGAIN …. I used, from the Urban Decay Palette, Faith (a mid-toned grey based brown matte) as my transition shade. I used, from the same palette, Lockout (a slightly deeper grey based brown matte) for my crease color. on my lid I used, from the Benefit Vanity Flare Palette, Shimmering Nude (a deep champagne gold shimmer). I deepened the outer v with with Black Jack (a dusty black matte, from the Urban Decay Palette). Along my lower lash line I used Extra Bitter (a burnt orange matte, from the Urban Decay Palette) and I then took what was left on the brush into my transition shade to warm it up a bit. I defined the lower lash line by using the color Faith again. I highlighted my inner corners with Satiny Heather (a pale pink shimmer, from the Vanity Flare Palette). I lined my water line with BH Cosmetics Power Pencil ($8 on the BH Cosmetics Website) in the color Beige. I did a wing liner using the Benefit Roller Liner Liquid Eyeliner ($12 for the mini on their website) in the color Brown. For my brows I used the Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($14 for the mini on their website) and Gimme Brow Gel ($14 for the mini on their website) in the color 4.5 Neutral Deep Brown. I carved out my brow line with BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on the BH Cosmetics website) on the matte side. I set the brow line with Wet n Wild Color Icon ($.99 at Walgreens) in the color Sugar. For mascara I am using the Benefit Roller Lash mascara ($13 on their website).

CHEEKS and LIPS: On the cheeks I am using, from the Babe on Board face palette ($30 on the Beautylish website … it is limited edition), Rockabye (a mid-toned Coral satin). I highlighted my cheek bones, tops of the brow bone, and cupid’s bow with Dandelion Twinkle (a pale champagne). I didn’t like any of the lip selections through Benefit so to line my lips I chose NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in Whipped Caviar and then filled in my lips using ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip ($7 on their website) in the color Gingham (a mid-toned true Coral).

Hold on to you seats dolls … I have plenty to say about this Benefit purchase ….. so here we go.

The Review….

Benefit The POREfessional Hydrating Primer: B This primer is billed as being a primer that moisturizes and refreshes skin, as having a natural finish, and as being able to minimize the look of pores and fine lines. You get .75 fluid ounces for the full sized and .25 fluid ounces for the mini sized. There is nothing special about this primer. It did nothing to minimize my pores or my fine lines. It did not feel moisturizing at all. It’s a tacky primer that grips on to foundation, but does nothing it claims to do. It’s just an OK primer. I’ll finish using it but I will not be repurchasing it.

Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer: C It’s billed as being a lightweight, 24 hour long wearing concealer that doesn’t cake up. It comes in 12 shades, 4 of which are for darker skin. You get .17 fluid ounces for the full sized and .1 fluid ounces for the mini sized. The color I chose is spot on perfect for my complexion… but you should only use the smallest amount possible. I used a bit too much and had to blot it away. It did not cover my under eyes well at all… you can still see the dark circles under my eyes. It does emphasize the fine lines but did not look cakey… it just looks dry and dull …. there is nothing special about this concealer. I’ll use up what is left of this concealer but it’s a hard pass for me … I will not be repurchasing it.

Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation: D It’s billed as being a light medium coverage, that blurs imperfections and has a natural matte finish. You get 1 fluid ounce in the full sized bottle and .2 fluid ounces in the mini sized bottle. This foundation comes in 12 shades with 5 shades for deep skin. The shade I purchased was billed as being medium neutral but has way too much yellow undertone in it. This foundation emphasized every pore I have. It also clung to dry patches I didn’t know I had. It went on patchy and streaky and took forever to buff in. It didn’t look good at all … that is until I powdered and used setting spray… then it looked half way OK. I wont be using up the mini I bought I threw it out and definitely will never repurchase this foundation.

Benefit Hello Happy Velvet Powder Foundation: B+ It’s billed as being lightweight and breathable and having a natural matte finish. You get .25 ounces of product. It comes in 12 shades, 5 shades for deep skin. It’s finely milled and creamy. It gives a descent amount of coverage and in the color I purchased was said to be neutral medium in color … it was a perfect match. It is a good finishing powder… I don’t think it’s a good foundation powder, but it works as a finishing powder. I will use it up but may not be repurchasing it.

Benefit Babe on Board Face Palette: A- This is a limited edition face palette offered on Beautylish’s website. It comes with a Hoola bronzer (it seems to be a bit lighter than the one I have in the box version) a blush in the color Rockabye (Beautylish says it is a warm rose with a natural finish, however it’s more like a true mid-toned coral with a satin finish) and a highlighter in the color Dandelion Twinkle (Beautylish describes it as a nude pink with a shimmer finish, it’s more of a pale champagne with a slight pink shift). This is a descent face palette. It gets an A- because there is glitter in the highlighter … I didn’t give it a lower score because of the glitter because the glitter seems to dissipate with wear so it doesn’t bother me as much as other highlighters with glitter do. I really like this palette and this is the first Benefit blush I have tried and I love the finish of it. I am definitely picking up a few more blushes. I will not be able to repurchase this as it is a limited edition palette.

Benefit Vanity Flare Nude Eyeshadow Palette: F!!!!! This was the worst palette I have ever tried in my life…. no that’s not hyperbole …. that is straight up fact. There is no pigment to these shadows … the mattes are not mattes they are satins and the satins are not satins they are shimmer … I tried to make this palette work, really I did, but after 6 layers of the mid-toned colors with no color payoff at all I got fed up and washed my makeup off and started over. When you apply the darker shades to the crease and transition you don’t get color you just get this weird shimmery mess that picks up on every little spot of dry skin on your eyes. The kick back is terrible with this the pan was covered in shadow… and the fallout is just as bad …. this is just a hot mess… I know that Benefit has other shadows but after this experience I am hard pressed to not even attempt to purchase another eye palette…. it’s a definite hard pass for me. I’ll be using it in tomorrow’s Full Face of Benefit, only because I still need to test out the other foundation I purchased… then I am tossing it straight into the trash…. to bad I had already tossed the uni-carton or I would have returned this palette to Beautylish.

Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil: A+++!!! It is billed as having natural looking hair like strokes that lasts for 12 hours. It comes in 12 shades. You get .002 ounces for the full sized and .001 ounces for the mini sized. After trying the eye shadow palette I was deflated and getting moody and really starting to hate this brand. This pencil is heaven! HEAVEN I SAY!!!! I was able to block my eye brows out fast and without skipping or having to retrace my lines. I was able to fill in my bald spots without having the pencil pull at my brow hairs. The color is a perfect match for me and I think this is the best my brows have ever looked. I am so happy I purchased this product. It went a long way to helping my mood about doing my makeup today improve. This product didn’t bead up on my skin, it didn’t smear, it didn’t yank at my hairs, It didn’t get crumbly around the hairs that are growing back…. I love this brow pencil. I am so going to use this product up and I am most definitely repurchasing this in bulk.

Benefit Gimme Brow Gel: A++ This product is billed as a brow tint that volumizes and tames brows for a buildable natural looking brow that is water resistant and long wearing. It comes in 8 shades. This gel held my brows perfectly without being to crunchy. The brush applicator is the perfect size and doesn’t rip at the hairs. There is perfect amount of product on the brush and doesn’t get messy. I really like this brow gel. I will use up my mini and then purchase the full sized version. Definitely a good brow gel. I think it’s better than the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara: A+ This product is billed as a mascara that grabs, seperates, lifts, and curls lashes. It claims to hold the curl of the lashes for 12 hours. It comes only in black. You get .3 fluid ounces for the full sized and .14 fluid ounces for the mini sized. I missed the boat on this mascara when it first came out. I backed away from it because of the fact that it has a plastic bristle wand and I hate those. This mascara is great. I really like it. With one coat my lashes looked strong and full. I used a 2nd coat to see if it would over power the lashes and it didn’t it just defined my lashes even more. I will definitely use up the mini and then I will purchase the full sized.

Benefit Roller Liner Liquid Eyeliner: A+ This eyeliner is billed as being a matte liquid eyeliner that goes on smooth and is water proof and lasts for 24 hours. It comes in 2 colors… black and brown. You get .03 fluid ounces in the full sized and .01 fluid ounces in the mini sized. I normally steer clear of liquid eyeliners with a felt tip because they catch on the fine lines of my lids. This liner went on effortlessly smooth and pigmented. It was the easiest time I had doing a winged liner. I really like this product. I will definitely use up my minis and I will be purchasing replacements once I’ve used the minis up (i purchased both the black and brown). The brown is a deep brown color and it goes on super opaque. It’s a great liner.

Final Thoughts….

All in all Benefit seems to be a good company. Some of the products were just OK for me but others were true winners in my book… despite the drama with the eyeshadow palette. There were more products I loved verses products that were either just OK or that I hated. I would give the brand as a whole a grade of B++.

1. How many times do you wash your face daily?

usually two times a day. once in the morning and once for my evening skincare routine.

2. What skin type do you have? Dry, oily, or combi skin?

it’s dry and very sensitive. which is both a blessing and a curse.

3. What is your current facial wash?

i’m not using a face wash at the moment. i use la roche posay micellar water instead to both clean my face and remove makeup.

4. Do you exfoliate? How often?

no :( and i really should and i used to and i’ve just forgotten! but ideally i would exfoliate once or twice a week

5. What product do you use to exfoliate?

i love the l’oreal brown sugar scrub, it left my skin very bright and soft. otherwise, i will just use soot from my turkish coffee and mix it with a bit of honey for a natural scrub that doesn’t dry me out :)

6. What moisturizer do you use?

the la roche posay moisturizer for intolerant skin. a lifesaver <3 or a cheaper version is the universal nivea cream

7. Do you have freckles/sun spots?

i have freckles around my nose and cheeks that become more prominent with higher exposure to sun

10. Do you use eye cream?

i have not but would like to try it bc of dark and bloated skin around my eyes. my mom surprised me with an eye gel today actually, wonderful mama bear

11. Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

never have, i was lucky in that aspect.

12. Did you ever have to use pro-activ?

nope

13. What foundation do you use?

i try to avoid using foundation everyday but i have a few favorites hehe. the glossier skin tint is AMAZING, it doesn’t have much coverage but it’s so dewy, hydrating and natural. recently i’ve been using the chanel la tein which is absolutely wonderful and another good one is the bourjois vitamin BB cream which is quite affordable and smells lovely.

14. How about concealer?

glossier concealer! and the aura concealer which is 3 euros worth of lightweight hydrating heaven

15. Do you know your undertone color?

i think it’s blue?

16. What do you think of fake eyelashes?

all the power to you if you’re into it! i personally am not, it seems uncomfortable

17. Did you know that you’re supposed to change mascara every 3 months?

yep

18. What brand of mascara do you use?

i’ve been using the essence volume mascara for years, another phenomenal drugstore find.

19. Sephora or Mac?

sephora! although i rarely shop there but like to browse

sometimes a beauty blender and usually a brush to apply blush or bronzer (if i am using either/or). but i enjoy using my fingers the most.

nope, i rarely do anything heavy in that regard so i don’t find it necessary.

23. For the face?

nah, i’ll just clean my face with micellar water on a cotton pad and apply my face cream beforehand.

24. What is your favorite eyeshadow shade?

ooo i don’t know, i don’t use them often enough to have a definitive choice.

25. Do you use pencil or liquid liner?

depends but nothing beats a good gel liner.

almost never ever haha

i haven’t tried them but from what i can tell they look very good and intense!

i prefer liquid makeup but i have some mineral blushes and a mineral setting powder.

mac russian red!

glossier lip gloss or their cherry balm

yeah! you can find great dupes that work just as well and are good quality :)

no, i have a specific way i like to use makeup and if i’m ever interested in broadening my knowledge i’ll usually ask my sister (who is obsessed) or look for ideas online. but i generally like my makeup to be very sheer and natural looking and i’ve learnt how to do that quite well for my skin and face.

I first primed my problematic pore areas with Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer ($39 at Ulta) and then primed the full face using Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer ($37 at Sephora) in Smoothing. I then went in with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter ($44 at Sephora) in the shade 3 Light Medium. My foundation today is Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation (discontinued) in the shade LN 4. I contoured using Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand ($38 at Sephora, on the Beautylish website, and on the Charlotte Tilbury website) in the shade Medium Dark to contour the perimeter of my face and down the bridge of my nose. I highlighted the tops of my cheek bones, bridge of the nose, center of the chin, and high points of my forehead using Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand ($38 on the Beautylish website) and then I went in with just a touch of Benefit Boxed Highlighter ($30 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade cookie to set the high points of my face. I concealed my under eyes using Revolution Beauty Supersize Conceal and Define Full Coverage Concealer ($10 on their website) in the shade C 6.5. I warmed up the perimeter of my face using Tarte Breezy Cream Bronzer ($29 on the Tarte website) in the shade Grace Bay (deep matte bronze). I set my under eyes using Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes ($28 at Ulta) in the shade 1 and then set the rest of my face using the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder ($33 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Translucent. I then topped off the perimeter of my face using a light layer of MAC Bronzing Powder ($30 at MAC) in the shade Matte Bronze. I chose the Flower Beauty Light Illusion Perfecting Powder ($13.99 at Ulta) in the shade Beige L4-M1.

Eyes:

I set my brows using Believe Beauty Eyebrow Styling Gel ($4 at Dollar General) in clear and then filled in my brows using Joah Brow Down To Me Precision Brow Pencil ($9.50 on their website) in the shade Brunette. I carved out the brow line using BH Cosmetics Studio Pro Brow Highlighter ($5 on their website) on the matte side and then I primed my lids using P.Louise Base ($10 pound sterling/ $12.08 USD on their website… can also be found on the Morphie website for $15) in the shade Rumour 0.5. For today’s eye look I used the Juvia’s Place Nubian 3 Coral Palette ($20 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website) and 2 shades from the Juvia’s Place The Nudes by Juvia palette ($14 at Ulta and on the Juvia’s Place website). I started with the Nudes palette and went into the 1st shade of the 2nd row (light rose matte) and ran that all through my crease all the way to the brow line. I then went into the Nubian 3 palette and took the 4th shade of the 2nd row (dusty coral tan matte) and ran that through the crease and stopped just a little lower than the brow line. I then took the 4th shade of the 3rd row (deep-toned peachy coral matte) and buffed that into the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the outer v of the crease. I then went into the 3rd shade of the 3rd row (peachy coral metallic with a slight gold flip metallic) and patted that on the remain 2/3 of the mobile lid. I then went into the 1st shade of the 2nd row (a mid-toned deep reddish terracotta metallic) and patted that over the middle 1/3 of the mobile lid to blend the inner and outer 1/3’s together. I then went into the 2nd shade of the 2nd row (warm toned deep brown matte) and buffed that into the very outer part of the outer 1/3 of the mobile lid and the very outer part of the outer v of the crease to just add a hint of definition. I created a subtle drop shadow on the lower lash line starting with more of the dusty coral tan shade and then deepened the lash line using more of the deep-toned peachy coral shade. I then used the light rose shade from the Nudes palette to buff the harsh lines away. To highlight my inner corners I used the 1st shade of the 1st row of the Nudes palettes (peachy champagne with a slight silver flip metallic). To highlight the brow line I used the L’Oreal 24-HR Infallible Eyeshadow ($9.49 at CVS and on Amazon) in the shade #899 Endless Pearl (vanilla matte). I lined my lower waterlines using ColourPop BFF Gel Liner ($6 on their website) in the shade Get Paid (rose gold metallic) and created medium sized wing along the upper lash line using ColourPop Creme Gel Colour ($7 on their website) in the shade Swerve (jet black). I coated my upper and lower lashes with 1 coat of Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($25 at Ulta and Sephora) in the shade Black.

Cheeks and Lips:

I applied my blush with the rest of my cream products since I was using Tarte Sugar Rush Beach Cheeks Cream Blush ($15 on their website) in the shade Beaches & Cream (a peachy pink). I lined and filled in my lips using ColourPop Lippie Pencil ($6 on their website) in the shade Brink (terracotta rose) and then tapped a bit of L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain ($5.99 at Ulta) in the shade I Create (a pale dusty coral) over the top.

Final Thoughts:

I really love that I have a beauty fridge!! It’s so tiny and keeps my skin care super cool. This means there is longevity in the active ingredients and there’s the added anti-inflammatory benefit since the products are cold.

I am going to do another post tonight. I’m making Bacalao Guisido (Stewed Salted Cod) for supper and it’s one of my hubby’s favorite dishes.
