Sightings @ Greenwood Yard, 2024/12/23, 16:00
RT-90/91 (track inspection) RT-8 (rail delivery buggies) ST-7?? (scarborough RT locomotive?? what are you doing here) RT-41 (tie tamper) RT-79 & 78 (ballast buggies) RT-40 (ballast delivery) RT-71 (locomotive) RT-28 (crane) RT-89 (track vacuum) RT-88 (crane) RT-57 (flatcar)
I finally got a proper camera with a zoom lens!! The difference is crazy, I was expecting it to be an improvement but I did not anticipate that I'd be able to see from one end of the yard to the other

I can't resist a house with stick walls, and this 1930 home in Saluda, NC was renovated, but has some beadboard &/or stick walls throughout. 3bds, 2ba, 2,050sqft, reduced $50k to $600k.
It's a cabin, but has some arts & crafts elements like the porch columns, out front. The porch is wonderful, though.
Enter a large living room with wide pine plank flooring.
A double doorway opens to a dining room with a lovely original corner fireplace.
Stairs between the dining room and kitchen. I'm wondering if they reconfigured the floorplan when they remodeled.
Love the forest green cabinetry. By the looks of the row of windows, and the support beam in the ceiling, it looks as if there may have been a sun porch here, that they added to the kitchen.
The other doorway in the living room leads to this side hallway.
They've got a little work space here.
Then, here in the hall is bath #1.
Coordinating main floor bedroom.
Stairs going up to the remaining bedrooms and bath.
This is a lovely bedroom.
In the hall there's room for a little desk. Love the original doors with the ceramic knobs.
Cute vintage bath #2.
Bedroom #3.
The basement isn't finished, but it's enough for a nice little workshop.
Look at this- a tiny house on the property.
It has everything.
Plus, there's also another building on the property.
This is a work space, but it has lots of potential. It would make a great art studio.
.89 acre property.

Heathers (1988):
Stranger Things 4 (2022):
U mean to tell me Nancy Wheeler has been driving the same color Volvo as the one in Heather's this whole time?

Sightings @ Greenwood Yard, 2025/02/11, 16:00
RT-90/91 (track inspection) RT-87 (crane) RT-73 (ATC (automatic train control) installation) RT-89 (track vacuum) RT-57 (flatbed) RT-85 (structure rehab, leak repair, track welding. this is just a multipurpose motorized flatbed I think) RT-81 (anchor bolt drilling) RT-(34)/35/36 (asbestos abatement crew) RT-40 (ballast delivery) RT-79 (ballast buggy) ST-7 (scarborough rt locomotive. I think it's just been sitting in the back of the yard for a while) + mystery ballast buggy, drain vacuum and structure maintenance hawker
also, not a work car, but there was a TR train parked in the shops, assumedly undergoing maintenance that couldn't be done at davisville or wilson yards. very odd to see one of these here, especially considering how difficult I'm told it is to get TRs into greenwood.
