STEM Courses to Study in the USA
Introduction
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is some of the most rewarding and in-demand courses available in the USA. The courses listed below are great for students who want to pursue a career in STEM fields.
STEM students can choose from a wide range of careers that range from healthcare to software development and everything in between. STEM courses are very well paid with median salaries ranging from $58k to $84k per year depending on your field of study.
The US has one of the highest rates of STEM graduates in comparison with other countries around the world; however, there is still an immense demand for qualified candidates who have studied these disciplines at the university level or higher.
Top STEM Courses to Study in the USA
Computer Science
Computer science is a field of study that includes programming, software engineering, and other aspects of computers. It's a great field to study if you love technology and want to be on the cutting edge of new developments in this area.
Students can learn how to build software applications for mobile devices or websites; write scripts for video games; create applications for smartphones; develop websites or apps for businesses; analyze data using complex algorithms (the steps used by computers); build hardware components like circuit boards; design networks using routers and switches so they can communicate with each other efficiently
Aerospace Engineering
Aerospace engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the design, construction, and operation of aircraft. Graduates who study Aerospace engineers abroad are responsible for the design and development of aircraft and spacecraft. They also work on the development of new technologies to allow safe travel through air or space.
Aerospace engineers often work with other engineers in different areas such as mechanical or electrical engineering; they may also collaborate with scientists who study aerodynamics (the science behind how objects move through the air).
Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology for healthcare purposes. Biomedical engineers work in a variety of fields, from medical devices to drug design and development. If you're interested in this field but don't know where to start or what it might mean for your future, consider enrolling in one of these top-ranked colleges for biomedical engineering programs:
Duke University (Durham, North Carolina)
Harvard University (Cambridge, Massachusetts)
Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland0029
Civil Engineering
Civil engineers are responsible for planning, designing and constructing buildings, roads, bridges, airports and tunnels. Civil engineers work in construction, environmental and water resources or other fields such as structural design.
Civil engineers have to be aware that their work impacts people's lives every day: They build houses where families live; they design roads that allow us to get around safely; they create infrastructure so we can drink fresh water from our taps instead of having to travel long distances for it (or pay high prices at the store).

Electrical Engineering
Electrical engineering is the study of how to use electricity to solve problems. It's an incredibly broad field that can include everything from designing circuits and writing code to building robots and satellites. Electrical engineers also work with other kinds of engineers (like mechanical or civil) on projects like bridges and buildings.
The best way to get into electrical engineering is by getting good grades in math and science classes in high school--many universities require at least one year of calculus before enrolling in their bachelor's programs. Once you're accepted into a university program, take as many physics courses as possible because they will help build your understanding of how things work at a fundamental level!
Studying STEM courses in the USA opens up many doors to future careers. A degree in STEM subjects can lead to high-paying jobs and rewarding work, but it also requires a lot of hard work and discipline. If you're ready for a challenge, then here are some of the best ways to get started:
Choose a course that interests you! Don't choose something because you think it will help you find a job; choose something because it's interesting and fun!
Work hard at school - don't take shortcuts or skip classes just because they're boring (even if they seem boring). You'll learn more by doing well than by skipping out on things like reading assignments or listening carefully during lectures.
Conclusion
If you're interested in pursuing a career in STEM, it's never too early to start planning. With the Courses that study in the USA in a STEM Course, you'll be able to build up your resume with real-world experience and prepare yourself for future employment opportunities.

My IRL ex who lives abroad now is dating my online friend who also lives there and I am deceiving them, AITA?
All of us are Asian, 29. Fake names are used.
My ex (Fred) was my childhood best friend, we grew up together in the same conservative society, people expected to see us marry since we were kids, all that jazz. At 18, we both moved away and kept up LDR. Moving meant big changes of course, I was in a huge city and I had internet access for the first time. I became a BTS fan in 2013, I started creating and reading a lot. I joined tumblr, made friends from all over the world. I was being radicalized rapidly, and I figured out I was bi too. My world was suddenly a million times bigger.
He however, didn't change much. He was scientific minded unlike most people here and his friends were all STEM kids but they were still functionally right leaning. He was racist when it came to BTS or East Asians in general. He was ignorant and happy to ignore queer existence, he used to say things like queer people needed to be shown the right path. We were turning out to be quite the opposites. Eventually we broke up. He was heartbroken, he tried to drag me back in many times and I avoided him like plague. I managed to ditch him completely when we were about 23. He left for USA to study.
Around the same time I befriended one of my closest online friends, Daphne. We lived in the same state but she was always traveling so we never got to meet. We're both hellsite veterans and keep our identities under lock & key so we don't know our real names or exact place of work, but we know each other's deepest kinks and childhood traumas, and stories about our exes. We both had the same kind of interests, politics, and fandoms, we're both bisexual. I've also come out as a trans man a few years ago and I go by a masculine name online, can't transition IRL. Daphne's known me since my girl era. Daphne left for USA last year for her Masters.
Now the wild part, by some twist of fate, Daphne met Fred who's also working on his Masters in an adjacent field. It is by no means a niche subject and USA is the fourth largest country, they still found each other. He sang in our first language at some party, he's very hot, and... he's into BTS like her. Wild. So they're now dating.
They started following each other on twitter and he followed a bunch of her friends including Me! We have exchanged pleasantries and while on his account he has his real name and location, mine is a mixed bag account with my fake name and my (sfw) queer creations all over it.
I know who He is but he doesn't know who I am, he thinks I'm just one of Daphne's dudes, and Daphne doesn't know that she's dating my ex who she had promised to drop into the Challenger's Deep (joke). My reasoning for hiding the truth is-- It's still not safe for me to be out IRL and he can mess it up. I remember his bigotry, I hate him, I have every right to avoid him and here that means not revealing my identity. But it's been years so maybe he has changed, and Daphne is my friend. So, I feel like a massive ahole for not telling her at least. At the same time she really did hate my racist homophobic right leaning ex a lot, so knowing the truth will make things awkward and I don't want to lose my friend.
So, there you have it. AITA?
BTW, no I'm not into BTS ships or reader insert fantasies, that's not what I create. I know someone would ask about it so there. I'm also Not attracted to Daphne, if I was I'd have asked her out straight away, I don't play around about my crushes.
What are these acronyms?

I don't know if OP is american, I guess they are, but this post .... fascinating.
by that I mean, wherever they live, USA or elsewhere, it must be a hellscape. Is it really like that? If yes then I am very sorry.
But it's so strange because I - a 25 year old Austrian woman - am a twice-over university dropout, and I used to tutor at a tutoring institution, whatever they're called in English, no issues at all. A great part time job when I was in uni, loved it.
Now I'm a real life journalist in a lead position and, like most of my coworkers just... kind of fell into it. My boss doesn't have a "journalism degree", she has a phd in Biology. My coworker has a Masters in Cultural Studies, my other coworker, some of them have degrees, some don't, but a tiny percentage have anything related to "journalism" or "communication" degrees. At least in my experience it is just something you fall into, wether you want it or not.
I've not worked at a library before but I know it's a 6 months course you can do while still working full time and then you are alllowed to lead a libray. And I've also not done that, because I don't have a degree lol, but there are programms where people with non-teaching related degrees can fairly easily start teaching, though they cater more to STEM degrees - for people who have worked as engineers to teach at engineering focused high schools for example (again difficult to put it in English I am not sure the concept exists in the USA)
I mean I know there is a lot of survivorship bias involved, yes, not everyone just happens to easily find a job just like that (I mean, MOST of job searching is just networking. Especially in journalism. Start as a small-scale occasional freelancer, make a name for yourself, eventually hope to get hired as editorial staff, all that)
BUT are these degrees like, REQUIRED by law or whatever, or just what employers like to list in their job postings? Big difference. Experience counts for far more in the real world... at least in my experience.
What I know about USA colleges is that it is insanely expensive. it boggles the mind - you mean to tell me you have to pay 100.000 to be allowed to take pictures and write words?????? If I had to go to college for my job i would probably be homeless. Because, Hi, ADHD brain, absolutely awful at studying and taking tests, amazing at working at a real job that is fairly fun most of the time.
I don't mean to be insensitive but... you guys live like that??? Being forced to go into debt for jobs that really really should not require extensive academic educations????
as someone with a bachelor’s degree in english, i am inexpressibly tired of people telling me to get highly specific jobs that often require highly specific degrees. “just go write for a magazine!” you need a journalism degree for that. “just teach!” you need a teaching certificate, and also fuck you. “just go work at a tutoring place!” tutoring children with learning disabilities, which make up the majority of the clientele at those places, requires not only a teaching certificate but a specialized master’s degree. “just go work at a library!” you need a master’s degree in library science to be a librarian. it is actually a highly skilled and extremely competitive field. you don’t just “go work at a library,” you train for years in the vain hope that you will get one of handful of available jobs. “just go work at a library.” the nerve. the unmitigated gall. “just go work at a library.” ugh.

Among the most appealing reasons, one can mention the cost aspect since studying in Germany is relatively cheap. The majority of public universities in Germany have either little or no tuition fees for international learners.
How It Works
Indian students need to pay only the semester contribution which takes between €150 to €300 because the contribution includes administrative charges, transport, and other related services. This is in sharp comparison to countries such as USA or UK where the universities’ tuition fees may be a real burden.
Living Costs
Germany claims to have a high standard of living but is comparatively cheaper than other European countries and bite-sized expenses such as food, and transport in places like Berlin, Leipzig or Dresden can be easily managed by the average Indian student.

Internships and partnerships with big companies like BMW, Siemens, and Bosch are typically a part of some of the programs which may prepare students and provide them with jobs on completion of the courses.
4. English-Taught Programs
German is the most common language but the programs can be taken entirely in English, particularly at the postgraduate level. This removes any question of language barrier and makes Germany more attractive to students from India.
Language Learning Opportunities
While cramming knowledge, students also have an opportunity to understand German which increases employability within Germany and internationally.
5. Post-Study Work Opportunities
The post-work prospect for international students after studying in Germany is quite promising. Upon completion of studies, students can work under an 18-month job search visa with a view of finding a job that suits their course.
Blue Card Benefits
Employed students, in turn, can apply for a European Union blue card, which entitles them to long-term work and reside in any of the EU countries.
6. Strong Indian Community
Germany has a large number of Indians living in it and therefore will help an Indian student feel comfortable and(home sick) retained. Students also link up with cultural organizations, festivals, and can even buy Indian foods making the transition easier in the new country.

Efficient Public Services
Residents of Germany enjoy efficient public transportation, healthcare, and infrastructure that has a positive impact on international students.
9. Pathway to Permanent Residency
Compared to several other countries such as America or Canada, Germany has relaxed immigration regulations meaning that Indian students can easily change their visa for working from a student visa to a work visa and then even easily find a way to immigration.
The Steps
Later, being a graduate and participating in the job market for 33 months or less, a student can get permission for permanent residency if he or she is fluent in German.
10. Cultural and Travel Opportunities
The opportunity to study in Germany allows Indian students to experience an invaluable experience of diverse cultural experiences in Europe.
Diverse Experiences
The students can also get to visit such places as the famous Wall of Berlin, the Neuschwanstein Castle, and the spirited cities of Munich and Hamburg. Also, the Schengen visa entails free circulation in 26 countries in Europe, so everyone can expand their outlook.

This reminds me of the social study class during junior high, the teacher asked the class if Africa had electricity. And all of them just stared at each other. After a few seconds, I said; of course they have electricity, there are big cities like Cairo and Johannesburg, Cape town and Rabat. We had traveled to South Africa before that and had family living there for a while- and I was also a child interested in geography.
When she gave us the reasoning for our grades, she said that partly of the reason I got top score, was because I wasn't so prejudiced and actually manged to think for myself.
I do think this is more westerns (especially media from the usa) fault because the portray people there in a way that makes it's interesting for people that lives in the cities. There's often the talk about the problem with children and homelessness in some of the countries bc of civil wars.
It also reminds me of a tourist attraction in Africa, right now I can't find which country these people lived in or what kind of culture their practiced. However, they have made their houses in tree, like a tree house. And originally, they were't built tall up in the trees, but as tourism grew, the people got ordered to build them higher and go with less clothes because it was more exotic for the tourists. Which is just plain out weird and wrong to demand something like that.
I also saw a video of a man tat traveled to both Pakistan and India to eat at the McDonald's there to see what kind of food items there were there and how it differed from USA. And people in the comments were surprised to see pavement, asfalt and just normal infrastructure in both of these countries. It baffled me. They were also surprised to see that both places this man checked out, had the self-order machine and they were surprised that McDonald's outside of the USA was so advanced. Like, I think you'll find those machines in any upgraded and busy fast food chain restaurant now days.
I don't think this stems directly from the school education system, because it should be unnecessary to say that India and Africa have asphalted roads and street lamps. But it lies more on the media consumption and old stereo types about those countries looked from the perspective of western (usa) view.
#i say usa bc most media and media users are from there#or more like media users in the west are different from people that uses media in the east same with north and south#important#africa#usa#society#i
