why do people program kids? what's the point???
(TW: ramcoa, programming, mc, trafficking, torture, child death, csem)
This is a question that has been rattling around in many people’s brains for a long time. I will rephrase your question in a way that is even more blunt: why do people torture kids? Because that is what programming is. Torture.
There are two answers, one is the one that programmers would say. One is the truth.
What programmers say: to create a perfect slave, someone who will do what I want with a simple gesture, phrase, etc. No matter the risk of harm to them or others.
The truth: thrill seeking egocentric sadists derive pleasure from torturing kids, raping kids, and making them bend to their will. They often film it and sell the media to other sick fucks for profit. These sorts of videos are unfortunately extremely profitable. One snuff film made over the course of a night could be worth thousands of dollars. That is why they do it. They like hurting people, kids are easy to control, and they like making money doing it.
There is no real, justified reason why programmers do what they do. There is no justification for torturing children and animals, no matter what they say. And if they truly believe what they tell others, it is because it helps them distance themselves from their heinous acts. If they are creating something with it, it makes the actions seem justifiable to the right people. They may claim they are building an army of programmed soldiers, but don’t realize that if they sent their programmed system into a combat situation the gunfire would trigger them so such a degree that they would be rendered useless. They make subservient sex slaves for profit, but once they get too old to not draw in the same crowd, they dispose of them and let them out into the world with no care to the mental and physical toll that life as a sex slave has done to the child.
They are insidious, evil people. They do not see children as human beings, but products to sell. Animals to put down. They care a lot less about the final product and more about the product that is made along the way—the torture films they make money off of and the excitement and thrill they get from torturing kids to program them.
Programming is not like how Alison Miller and many other conspirators make it seem. They are not making super soldiers or spies. They are profiting off of child torture and then either killing them by the end or letting them go. The only true reason things like callback programming or loyalty programming or silence programming or omega/suicide programming exists is so that they don’t get caught. If the system goes back, they will either be killed or reprogrammed or retrafficked or convinced to become a programmer themselves. They will not be going to complete some sacred duty that the programmers told them. Loyalty is only so they never tell secrets. Silence is so they never tell secrets. Suicide programming is so that they will die before telling secrets.
Programming is all about profit and not getting caught. That is why they do it. My programmers told me all the time that I would eventually become a spy for them. Black Widow style—a seductress who would kill their targets. The reality? I was a sex slave who had to commit heinous acts on camera that they sold, and when they were done with me, they cared less about that “end product” they claimed I was working towards. They’d rather see me kill myself than say even a modicum of truth about their motives.
To which I would say: kill me yourself, you cowards.
I hope that answers your question.

STWG daily prompt 3/10/23
prompt: rehab
pairing/character(s): steddie
-
Steve walks toward his two o'clock appointment with a slightly curious expression on his face. It's a new patient, which already usually has him quite curious and slightly nervous, but this particular new patient is one who could afford to pay the clinic to keep the physical therapy room empty for his session.
And Steve had been required to sign an NDA before being allowed to pick up the patient. Which had honestly offended him. The NDA just went over not telling the press any details about his client, which, hello? HIPAA? But he's also confused about why his patient would need him to sign an NDA like this. The name Eddie Munson doesn't ring any bells for him.
So, yes. He's very curious.
Before opening the door, he puts the effort into making his expression friendlier and more open, and straightens his back before pushing the door open. There, sat on one of the cushioned benches, is a very attractive man. One that he still doesn't recognise? Even though he must be famous? Or something?
He's got long, wavy hair, with a fringe hanging down in his face a bit- just enough to slightly cover his grumpy eyes and add to his generally unhappy expression. The t-shirt he's wearing looks artfully ripped to reveal tattoos underneath across his ribcage and stomach, and it contrasts the grey sweatpants he's wearing. Steve remembers that a knee injury is why Eddie's here in the first place, and figures that's what's causing the slightly odd outfit. He spies a pair of crutches leaning against the bench Eddie's sat on, and then his eyes trail over a little further to see a woman stood beside them.
Her expression is a lot more serious than Eddie's, and she's wearing an outfit that can only be described as business casual. Her blonde hair is up in a perfect ponytail, and once Steve's closed the door behind him she gives him a pinched smile. When Steve expects Eddie to introduce himself, the woman speaks instead.
"Hi there, you must be Steve. I'm Chrissy, Eddie's manager. He did not want to come today, so I'm just here to make sure he's behaving."
Steve raises an eyebrow at her words, and her speech seems to finally prompt Eddie to stop glaring daggers into the floor and look up at his new physical therapist.
But when Eddie's eyes snap up to Steve's, the glare leaves them immediately as his eyes widen a little. Steve's very confused by that, even more so when the wide eyed look transforms into a pout.
"Hi Eddie, I'm Steve." He greets with a lopsided smile, hoping that would make Eddie drop whatever his face is doing right now. But instead Eddie literally lets out a huff and his pout intensifies.
"Dammit. Why do you have to be hot? Chrissy dragged me to this stupid rehab centre and I don't want to be here because I'm supposed to be on tour, so I was supposed to be broody and moody all session to defy Chris's demands. But here you are. Real prince charming with a nice smile and hot voice to match." Eddie complains, and Steve opens and closes his mouth a few times at that.
Eventually, he takes a deep breath and tilts his head, eyes slightly squinted.
"I'm.. Sorry? About that?" He tries, and Eddie laughs a little.
"Can I get a different therapist for this? Preferably an uglier one?" Eddie tries, and that actually shocks a laugh out of Steve as Chrissy (somewhat violently) shoves his shoulder and hisses out his name.
"Unfortunately you're stuck with me. And I can't date patients." Steve says bluntly, and Eddie's pout is back.
"But," He starts, and quirks a smile at how Eddie's back straightens at his words, "You're very pretty. So how about you actually try at what I have planned for you, and when you're done with the outpatient programme, I can take you out for dinner?"
Chrissy sighs next to Eddie at the words (looking quite done with the entire situation and the fact that she has to be there), but Eddie's eyes have glazed over into something determined, and he nods once.
"Eight weeks is a long time, but you're like Adonis level hot. That works for me. Show me what you got, Stevie."
Steve finds himself quite excited to find more out about Eddie. The next eight weeks will fly by, and hopefully after that... They can see how it goes.

Akira Kibo and Kaori Nishidake
So based on the recent segment of my story the S.I.M.S. spies. I did mention their relationship being professional to some extent. They were childhood buds. Their parents were literal best friends, and Akira liked the idea of being Kaori's protector. He loved her like a little sister. When Kaori's parents had passed away, Akira's family took her in until she was sent of to Mt. Komorebi. They had kept in touch for a while, but with Akira off to college, they barely kept in touch. It wasn't until Kaori came to San Myshuno, where she first started as an agency clerk at S.I.M.S that she was reunited with Akira, since learning about his job as an Independent Consultant at Rainy Days Ent. She knew she could take advantage of his skills as a programmer.

The Githyanki map and an idea about the community
"Githmap" is the silly way I'm calling my GZdoom map for now.
It's is short map where you explore a Githyanki stronghold in first person (playing as a Githyanki as well), made in the Doom Engine. I don't have plans to release it for now, as I'm making it in a way to learn GZdoom.
But because I'm thinking a lot about my Gith OC's Jez'rathki, Draa'zvir and a lot of cool characters made by other kind Gith-enjoyers I'm considering not making this short map as something about me and only for myself but something for the community, a small gift perhaps, I will try to explain my idea below:
Imagine something that looks like Daggerfall but it is just a simple short visit to a virtual museum where you can explore a bit, see the paintings of other people's OCs on the walls, and talk to other Githyanki OCs to know their lore, their favorite food, besides getting the their creators @ (if they want).
That's my idea, reaching out to more Githyanki/Githzerai fans out there and asking if they want to add their OC character as a guest appearance, or opening a way to let everyone sign to participate with their GithOC.
The stronghold from my map is formed by rebels, spies, and simple Gith seeking sanctuary, with the context being inspired by "The Lich-queen's beloved".
I still need to prepare a mini Tutorial on how to get the raw assets ready for me to export them to GZdoom (As I'm doing all the code) for everyone interested in having their OC there.
I don't feel so comfortable now reaching everyone without everything ready (just give a time to prepare a better post)
But I can share the basic concept of how it works:
GRAPHICS
I took screenshots of this character screen of my OCs and NPC's in 5 Directions each (So I will cut the background and convert the sprites)
DIALOGUE TREE
Every NPC OC has a dialogue tree in the Githmap. For that one, I will prepare a series of questions your OC can answer (They can be friendly or rude about it) plus you can also provide additional questions (and answers) for your own OC so I can add them as well.
Each question from my questionnaire is something the player character can choose to ask your OC, stuff like "What do they do for a living?", "what is their story, etc". Your custom questions can go deep on your OC story, like if you want the player to ask "What is the story behind their scars" etc.
I believe the best approach for now is making the map to be set before the events of BG3, because it would be odd if a bunch of OC's lore starts to reference cannon characters in different and contratitory ways, but It will have a few exceptions as I didn't decided everything yet (I need to add a Voss reference sorry).
VOICE PERFORMANCE
Just a warning: Voices are not necessary. I just adding voices if I receive then, If I don't, its fine.
My OC's and NPC's don't have voices in-game , but if someone want to add voice to their OC there's ways do to it:
Recording an mp3 of a greetings message for the player to listen to when talking with your OC for the first time.
Or recording some generic lines that go on most answers.
Or fully recording lines.
CREDITS
As a short one map fangame, I will be credited as the programmer and organizer of the project, each asset used is credited to its original authors, and each person OC and asset will also be credited in two places, in the credits and the in-game dialogue alongside the OC name (example: Draa'zvir [by @vikintor]), because if I add other people OC in the game I want other players to know who created that OC, making it more like a connected experience and giving more musseum vibes.

New unclassified documents show Spain's espionage against Catalan independentists and how Spain's government, police and media worked together to publish fake information to attack Catalan independentists for years
For the last two months, there situation with the political espionage against Catalans, false accusations of all kinds of things against pro-independence politicians and activists, as well as right-wing demonstrations with Spanish supremacist hate speech, Spanish right-wing (though not only) politicians saying once again that Catalans are terrorist to gain votes, etc. have been escalating once again.
I had not made any post about all of that because I am simply too tired of the same thing happening over and over again and the same discussions happening all the time. This blog would be boringly repetitive if I commented on all the cases of diffamations, fear-mongering about inexistent supposed Catalan terrorists, the negotiations for a fake amnesty written so that they can keep as many people in jail as possible, and every new attack against Catalan people's right to use the Catalan language in the Catalan-speaking territories. It's the same old same old that doesn't stop happening in Spain. But I will give an update about what has been proven lately (and which had been known for a long time, but now can't be denied).
It has been known for a long time that the Spanish military intelligence service (CNI), with permission from the Spanish Supreme Court, has been using the Israeli espionage programme Pegasus to illegally spy on dozens of Catalan pro-independence journalists, activists, lawyers, politicians, and their relatives and friends for years. This goes against the human rights of the people who had their personal communications spied on and also against all the independence movement, because nobody is safe and everyone is susceptible of being spied on only for their political ideas.
Now, some of the official documents of the CNI have been declassified, so we know for sure that this espionage was happening, but other documents have not yet been declassified. Catalan politicians are asking the CNI to release the rest of these documents. The answer has been that they will not declassify them because it would "generate a risk and a grave threat for the life and integrity of the sources and collaborators of the CNI". Taking into account how in the last few years there has been many cases of infiltrated Spanish police in the Catalan social movements, including police who were infiltrated and entering long-term romantic relationships with Catalan activists (mostly Catalan women but some men too) and having sexual relations with others while lying to them about their identity, this statement can be understood to accept that there are many more people infiltrated in the movement.
But what have we seen in the documents that were released? That, as expected, the Spanish Government and Police between 2012 and 2016 used fake proof as excuses to spy on Catalans and tarnish their reputation on the press. As it has been released, the Spanish police compiled fake events with made-up proofs about Catalan independentist politicians, then they sent these fake news to the Minister of Interior of the Spanish Government, Jorge Fernández Díaz, who sent them to the Spanish media to be published as manufactured scandals on the front pages. This way, the Spanish media has spent years publishing fake information with the purpose of attacking the reputation and spreading fake ideas about Catalan independentists, including accusing many innocents of corruption, tax evasion, and personal family problems. All of these false accusations were widely talked about in Spanish media and became huge scandals, but when they were proven to be fake, the same media that published it would not include the news that these people had been declared innocents. Other ministers of the Spanish government like María Dolores de Cospedal and the president of Spain Mariano Rajoy were aware of it, and other ministries contributed to sending cherry-picked or false information to the Ministry of Interior for this scheme. All of this, of course, was paid for with public money coming from our taxes.
Nobody is surprised. This is just another day in Spain. The current Spanish Government has continued the espionage with Pegasus.

You'd be surprised at how young they're training spies nowadays. They need young guys who can blend in to the elite universities of oligarchs' children with the intention of befriending them and relaying information.
Alas, not all of them are completely successful. This agent got caught out when his overly-cautious target found his second phone. Unluckily for the spy, the young brute and his posse were trained in methods of interrogation that his anti-torture programme didn't warn him about: non-stop tickling.
It took hours to break him, but break him they did. When the brushes on his oiled feet and the endless jabbing at his sides became too much, he hollered the truth, a truth that his 'friends' were none too pleased to hear.
They decided to make a little film as punishment, to send to his superiors; their best and brightest up-and-comer reduced to howling tears as he was tickled mercilessly, trussed up naked like a hog.
When the video file - all 2 and a half hours of it - arrived duct-taped to the naked chest of their agent as he was unceremoniously dumped at the embassy, MI5 swiftly scrambled to update their training.
So if the young spy was dissapointed that his mission failed so spectacularly, at least he can rest easy knowing that new trainees will watch every second of the video of his humiliation, replaying his reactions in slow-mo, analysing the moment he breaks, writing essays on the deterioration of his resolve. Watching his naked form undergo the most intense torment of his life, over and over and over again.
God how he wishes he'd just become an accountant.

OK, stick with me here. I bet you’re looking at The Hawaiian Computer Mystery (1985) and thinking, “well, that looks like a crummy pick-your-path book.” And you aren’t wrong! But you’re also not correct, either.
First off, the whole Making Choices series is built around teaching Christian lessons through their narratives, with characters who tend to exclaim things like “Lord Jesus, save me!” Even setting that to one side, this book has a deep commitment to aw-shucks corniness that I find hard to bear. What is sort of mystifying about the book, though, is that, Tardis-like, it seems to have an improbable number of storylines packed into its 150 pages.
Core concept: you won a videogame design contest and your prize is a trip to Hawaii and, maybe, a contract with the competition-organizing company. As soon as you arrive, however, a number of seemingly disparate mysteries try to intrude on your vacation. There’s a volcano and monsters in the volcano and spies and rival programmers and a haunted house and a giant bird and an angry whale and just a constant succession of new branches in the story. Amusingly, you can avoid all of them and focus on learning to surf at the beach in a sequence that is long enough to actually feel like a genuine ending rather than a time wasting gag. The substance of all of these various stories is questionable, but their construction is super interesting. I can’t think of an American gamebook with such a quirky and complex structure. Shame your character spends so much time praying, though.

i have had in my head for about a week now a loose silly au where daniel is a 6yo savant, jack is a retired colonel doing some civilian job thats more conducive to child-raising and also is daniels dad, and sam is daniels babysitter on the weekends and an air force scientist trying to make the stargate programme work on the weekdays. honestly based off that post i made awhile ago about how little sg1 would change if daniel was replaced by a first grader. little baby danny would get to go through the stargate and jack would NOT be recalled to the military but hes officially there entirely as dannys dad/guardian (sam is head of sg1). this is not to diminish jacks role in sg1 but to make sam/jack not be against regulations. hammond doesnt care, he knows that jacks gonna be on that team anyway because 1969 still happens (just imagine little baby danny still saying "nyet" when the soldiers ask if theyre soviet spies 🥹). danny won't really die as often as daniel does, he kinda has kids show plot armor. im not doing a(nother) full series rewrite because i dont hate myself and i want to focus most of my energy on pn:au [phase shift is slowly but surely coming i promise], it'll probably be like a snapshot of a handful of episodes - a specific scene i think would be made either funnier or more impactful if daniel was the small child he acts like sometimes. but my question is....
#i know i dropped adopting daniel (which is NOT the same plot or relationship dynamic)#and pn:au is a huge project and the only reason i havent dropped it is my extensive planning#and there are some things very far down the line that im excited to write#but whats one more project :)#stargate#stargate sg1#daniel jackson#jack o'neill#fic ideas#mushroom polls

On February 18th, 1981, a BBC headline announced something that would be unthinkable three years later, 'Thatcher Gives in to Miners'.
"…Mrs Thatcher's Conservative Government has withdrawn plans to close 23 pits in its first major u-turn since coming to power two years ago. President of the National Union of Mineworkers Joe Gormley is confident the government's intervention will avert the threatened national miners' strikes…"
After crisis talks in Whitehall between union leaders and Energy Secretary, David Howell, the government agreed to reduce coal imports from eight million to 5.5 million tons and to reinstate higher operating subsidies.
NUM President Joe Gormley stated that as a result of commitments given, he would not be recommending a strike despite overwhelming support for industrial action from within the union membership.
Not everyone was happy;
"…The next day the NUM told all miners to return to work after the executive voted to accept the concessions made by the government and coal board by 15 to 8, with one abstention. Some left-wing pits maintained unofficial stoppages and there were pickets outside the NUM headquarters in London…"
When the government confirmed an injection of 300 million pounds in industry support, the unofficial action was called off and rebel pits were operating again by 20th February. Just over a year later, Joe Gormley secured a 9.3 % pay rise for miners, and was replaced by Arthur Scargill as NUM President.
In a 2002 BBC documentary, a former Special Branch officer claimed that Joe Gormley was a security services informant during the 1970s, having become concerned over the increasing influence within the NUM of left-wing militants.
Arthur Scargill opined,
"…The history of our movement is littered with people in leadership positions who were either connected with Special Branch or connected with the State..."
Joe Gormley was awarded a Life Peerage in 1982, and passed away in 1993.

The story of the U-2 that took off from USS Ranger aircraft carrier and spied over French Polynesian nuclear test site at Mururoa atoll
Project Whale Tale and the U-2G
In the 1960s, U-2s could not reach certain remote targets because political difficulties prevented basing the aircraft in some foreign nations. The CIA and US Navy, therefore, studied the idea of launching U-2s from aircraft carriers.
Project Whale Tale fitted a few U-2s with arresting hooks at the rear of the fuselage. The hooks would snag cables strung across aircraft carrier decks and “capture” aircraft, bringing them to a quick stop.
To withstand rough carrier landings, Project Whale Tale U-2s were given stronger landing gear, and also wing spoilers to overcome the U-2’s tendency to glide instead of landing on the carrier deck. Aircraft thus modified were designated U-2G.
The first U-2 takeoff from a carrier took place on Aug. 5, 1963, from the USS Kitty Hawk, off San Diego, Calif. The first U-2 carrier landing occurred on March 2, 1964, aboard the USS Ranger.
The only operational use of the U-2 aircraft carrier operation concept
As told by Kevin Wright in his book We Were Never There Volume 2: CIA U-2 Asia and Worldwide Operations 1957-1974, little more than two months later in May 1964, the US Navy and the CIA conducted the only operational use of the U-2 carrier operation concept under the unclassified code name Fish Hawk.
U-2
Det H commander Colonel William Gregory, was on board USS Ranger for the voyage, having selected personnel and much of the required equipment for the mission. The U-2s had quietly flown to Hickham AFB, Hawaii. Then the two U-2Gs (Art 348 and 362) flew out to join USS Ranger, piloted by Jim Barnes and Buster Edens. Arriving from Hawaii the two flew approaches and trapped landings onto USS Ranger to renew their carrier qualification. Their aircraft were equipped with the newly delivered 112B/Delta II and B cameras.
The aircraft had made radio silent arrival onto USS Ranger in an attempt to hide the operation. Even on the carrier, the two U-2s were kept in a secure area protected by Marines. Representatives from Eastman Kodak and NPIC were on board Ranger to process and assess the tracker camera imagery. The main mission film was to be returned to San Diego by A-3B Skywarrior as soon practicable.
The French Polynesian nuclear test site at Mururoa atoll
Their target was the newly constructed Polynesian nuclear test facility at Mururoa atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago. The French switched to the south Pacific after abandoning their original nuclear test site in Algeria.
The unknown story of the U-2 aircraft that took off from USS Ranger carrier and spied over French Polynesian nuclear test site at Mururoa atoll
U-2G N808X Carrier touchdown on Feb. 29, 1964. Modifications included fitting tail hook and nose bumper in case the aircraft nosed down on the deck after catching a wire.
US intelligence development agencies monitored the development of the French weapons programme. Following an announcement that Prime Minister Georges Pompidou would visit the site in July 1964, the CIA seized the opportunity to photograph the new facilities in the period before nuclear tests began.
The mission plan called for a single sortie, with the new 112B camera, and a small ELINT payload, with two backup flights in case of weather or technical issues. As USS Ranger approached 800 miles from the archipelago the aircraft was readied for the first flight. Two missions were planned. W224A flown by James Barnes on May 19, 1964 with Colonel Gregory recording W224A’s departure at precisely 0700L.
U-2 missions over French Polynesian nuclear test site
Ranger’s radar soon lost contact with him as Barnes climbed to 68,000ft. His task was to cover the primary objective on Mururoa, and several secondary targets, mostly other atolls including Hoa which became an advanced support base. No opposition was expected as Barnes broke the usual cardinal rule of aerial opposition photo-reconnaissance and passed over the main target area twice. He flew over other atolls before imaging the settlement at Papeete, then turned north-eastwards to rendezvous with USS Ranger. He began his let down 100 miles before reaching the carrier and landed straight on.

The second mission, W234A, a repeat of the first, was flown on May 22 by Buster Edens. There had been significant cloud over some of the first mission’s target areas, but by combining both days imagery coverage of all the primary and secondary target areas was achieved.
After the completion of operations, USS Ranger headed to San Francisco. The U-2s departed as they arrived within range of land to touch down at NAS Almeda, then flying on to Edwards AFB.
U-2 crash during aircraft carrier landing practice
On Apr. 26, 1965 veteran CIA pilot Buster Edens died when his U-2G crashed at Edwards AFB. He was due to carry out carrier landing practice on the simulated deck constructed there. On his first approach, he was told to cut power and extend spoilers by the LSO. On touchdown, his left wing touched the runway and dragged along it for some 50ft. Edens applied power and got airborne again and was told to gain altitude and check his aircraft. Just two miles from the control tower he appeared to enter a low-level spin and hit the ground.
