Ratdad did get nerfed bcs of that tho, he has a leg wound now so Ludo does everything in their power to defend their dad. The fact that Ratau , having a lot of riches and whatnot, decides to spoil the everloving shit out of Ludo to kinda make up for the whole Species extinction and having to be the chosen one led the Lamb to be sorta of a nepobaby?ish? THey still work hard but had a lot handed down to them to make it easier and all

I thought it'd be easier to make a tumblr account to ask questions, interact, and support your work more readily than my usual "I'm here, I'm here!!" comments. Apologies if they've gotten dry lmfaoo

I am unsure if you've answered this before, but may I ask what your writing process is? I've made a pseud on ao3 in preparation for some major ideas I have, but for literal years I've enjoyed the ideas and concepts I think up, while being unable to understand how to write them into scenes, and of course stitch those scenes together smoothly. Of course, nothing is as beneficial as personally practising and developing my own style, but if you don't mind sharing tips, advice, etc. I'd greatly appreciate it!

i think a really good piece of music can go a long way for getting ideas. i discovered and rediscovered a lot of music while making cc, and honestly it really helped me plot out a lot of big scenes,,, imagining little animatics to music is surprisingly a net positive for me LOL

after that i tend to just write down every big thing i have plans for; it's not bad to start with only one scene! in a very very early draft for canary continuity, the curse was originally meant to account for the attack at the end of CL, and it was always meant to go EXACTLY like that. i cannot remember exactly what changed my mind and made me decide to do slowburn, but i actually think it was in the wake of CU doing pretty well i was like "what if i played around with the premise but his insecurities were actually right" and now here i am. 180k words into this thing.

anyways

when it comes to oneshots (and longer chapters, in the case of the final two CW chapters) i tend to just make a checklist of what i want for the scenes and kind of shuffle them around until i find something cohesive. for multichapters, i tend to do a checklist of things i want to happen/establish/progress per chapter; for the first ten chapters of CW or so, it was mostly me wanting to address certain things before going forward and getting into the meat of the plot. sometimes these things can be wildly different, the point is just seeing if i can string them together into a coherent chapter, especially if im going for something that isnt so action-packed like the case is for a good portion of CW haha

and if im struggling with it still, sometimes i'll write a full summary of a chapter kind of like id be describing/summarizing an episode of a tv show i watched. i get unserious with it sometimes, its okay to be silly.

and for dialogue-heavy scenes i DO recommend scripting before filling out dialogue tags/actions/etc!! it helps keep the conversations directed and coherent, for me at least. and sometimes it makes it get longer and longer which ngl i consider a treat ... Content,, im thinking all of wwww is going to be written like this first, i'll just include action and stuff in my script. i'll see how it turns out!

ALSO recommendation from me to you, its a winning formula when REALLY starting projects that you dont have to start with a bunch of exposition. in the case for both canary continuity AND coming undone i just kind of slapped the reader in the middle of a scene and it turned out just great!! the setup doesn't always have to be super detailed and can always be fleshed out in later scenes. i notice writing a good beginning is always the hardest thing for me so that's the best advice i can give LOL

sorry im not sure how helpful this is, but here's what i got! i just kind of do whatever works and i take a lot of notes for my ideas, which are usually pretty. lol deranged and scattershot

im kind of late to the whole asflua party because i just started reading the recent chapters

i really wish i didn't, and waited for the hiatus to be over because the suspense of the last few chapters is KILLING me, and although i suspected it throughout the beginning on asflua, those few chapters made it SUPER clear there is a higher being in charge (what did it for me was the constant flyers of car changing lmfaoo)

someone on webtoon recommended your analysis to look more into it, and i RAN to tumblr to read it, spectacular work by the way, made the whole higher being theory much clearer for me, notably with recurring themes (space, dreams, wishes, memories, miaes hair, etc)

honestly my heart cant take this part, i literally screamed realizing that cheolmiae might not be endgame, especially with how the flyers keep saying "it's not yours anymore", hinting at changing cheol out for jisu

since soonkki is going to cut the story shorter (~30 chaps) , i feel like that might only be possible through miae fighting her destiny to be with cheol? i don't know, i feel like if she does end up with jisu in the end, the chapters have to be much more long-winded, or else all the build-up is just going to fall flat (but this is just my opinion). especially with how we are seeing miae slowly start to acknowledge some sort of "higher being" mess with her and cheol, and how she's becoming frustrated with everything getting in the way of both of them (chap 159).

i do think she's going to try and fight against it, as we see no matter how much jisu (or anything else) is getting in between the both of them, she constantly tries to reach out to cheol -> i realized there's a constant theme of miae running away/avoiding her problems, as seen multiple times when she has her arguments with cheol, the yunhui-yonghui conflict, her hiding that she hung out with jisu, and how it all catches up to her later on. just like how she 'avoided' (maybe not the right word, but i cant think of anything else) her feelings with cheol in the beginning, which resulted in the higher being telling her she was too late

i feel like her finally 'confronting' all of it and trying to reach out to cheol, not avoiding the problem is subtly hinting at her trying to fight against the higher being (or maybe im grasping at straws here, idk)

another theory i had which is way more far-fetched and just more idealistic is that they will be separated, but there will be a time-skip where they meet in the future, where they're both more matured (i dont know why i have a feeling that the narrator is miae from the future, with all her regrets that she didn't notice the signs sooner, and that she misses cheol, but this theory might throw away the whole higher being thing, soooo)

i would try to theorize what would happen in regards to taeuk, but i really don't know how it's going to go, but i do think that he'll play a role in getting cheol in trouble again, and something will happen to him that causes him to be separated from miae due to it

sorry this has became really long, i just finished reading the chapters and your theories, and im genuinely so heartbroken over the fact that cheolmiae might not be endgame, and asflua might be ending soon (i see myself a LOT in miae, especially with her relationship with her mother, running away, using her fists to defend herself from being picked on, her overall personality, etc, she's definitely a character dear to me)

About the 25 21 similarities, it's a pretty crazy coincidence because aslfua started before the kdrama :D I know I talked about parallels, but it obviously doesn't mean they have to end the same way! Even though I get similar feelings from the 2 series, you have every right to hope the webtoon will have a happy ending :) I'm just rambling here on my blog so don't take me too seriously :)

About your first theory, I think it's a valid possibility if the story is heading towards a happy ending :) Like you said, in that case the message of the story would be that with enough conviction, one could achieve anything in their lives, even if they are fighting against something that's out of their control. Also, if they are going to end up together at the end, it'd make sense for her to fight her own fate in the remaining chapters. Kind of unfortunate for Jisu who was stuck in the middle, but it is what it is. I always say that I think the ending can go 2 ways, and one of them is what you just described. :)

The other outcome in my opinion would be that the supernatural power is forcing Miae to embrace change because it seems like she refuses the idea of growing up. While, in fact, growing up actually might be the biggest theme of the series. It'd be nice if Miae could achieve everything she wants - going to the same high school with everyone, avoiding confrontation with her friends, staying with Cheol, etc., BUT the adults in the series keep reminding us that adult life is more complicated than what she can comprehend as a child (e.g.not having enough money, standing up for your child, moving because of your job). And she's on the verge of a lot of changes, like going to a new school, growing up - if we interpret the series this way, a bittersweet ending is probably more fitting (obviously, it doesn't have to be with Jisu). The supernatural power might even be just a symbol for the changes in Miae's life that she has to embrace, idk haha because even the title refers to the academy, which might also be about learning in a broader sense, like maturing as a person

Them meeting again in the future, why not? :D Anything can happen, if their love is so strong and they can still feel a spark after 10 years it can be a possibility :) Like I know I'm talking about sad endings but I'd obviously be sad as well in that case haha

Girl the tread was getting too long hence this ask lmaoooo but basically

- cha is a lot more badass in the LN like she is the only one who stood a chance there.

- she gets hurt, almost dies, but then a healer heals her and my girl locks in again.

- she gets hurt again because the angle statue is strong yk and all the healers are dead so the angle statue says he'll kill everyone except Cha because cha had that shadow hidden if you remember.

- and that's when Jinwoo comes in. And after he kills all the statues that flame guy guildmaster goes to help Cha because she is really injured but guess who comes in???

- Jinwoo comes in and he says to choi? Like let me help her and cha kinda pushes choi's hand away too and then Jinwoo picks her up like scoops her in his arms

- he takes her outside the dd like outisde the big big gate of the dd and gives her the healing potion and if i am not wrong he kinda keeps her in his arms? Like he did in the anime? And he heals only her and he is like yeah no one else looks injured anyway lol

- cha is healed but then she stands up and starts helping her guild members leave and stuff and Jinwoo grabs her arm like to ask what's happening in Japan because of the s rank dungeon.

- then Jinwoo could see how tired she looked and he was also really grateful that her guild members came to help him and she was willing to risk her life too and considers him a friend and since he didn't have much connections growing up because of his mom and sister it means a lot to him (it's implied especially in the later story but not stated)

- and then Jinwoo and Cha leave the dungeon together like I think they support each other and leave the dungeon.

Also there's another scene that was kinda cut out. Remember when cha goes to Jinwoo's guild to get her car back but Jinwoo sees her and approaches her? In the LN cha starts running after seeing him and Jinwoo chases her and then he gets really awkward when he catches upto her because she won't look at him and Jinwoo is like "people's feelings can change" and stuff like it's cute awkward. And cha blushes and nods her head at something he said and jinwoo finds her adorable so there's that too.

I find it hard to be comforted by words, I appreciate them, and I enjoy when I get them to an extent, but I seriously struggle to believe them unless it’s coming from a very select few of people. It’s something I appreciate best when I’m close to someone. In terms of physical compliments, I like to be called handsome, pretty, beautiful, cute, ethereal, angelic, and whatever. I’m not picky, I just like to be told things about myself from people I’m close to… When it’s coming from people I haven’t known for long enough I can get a little frightened and suspicious. Finally, after months of waiting, it was prom night. The music blasted through the speakers, people dancing and chatting amongst themselves.

Cloud didn’t exactly want to be there. He only came because Afton told him to, begging and telling him “Its a one time thing”.

While Afton was right, he just didn’t want to go. He didn’t see a point in going, not when his boyfriend didn’t bother to even talk to him about it.

He had to force Bonnie to go because he needed a date, and of course, being his boyfriend, he brought Bonnie.

Before I went and fell in love with you

Bonnie never seemed to have cared for him.

At first, Bonnie showered him in love and affection, and then over time, he pushed him away. Like he was only there as a toy.

Cloud didn’t know why Bonnie didn’t just break up with him. Maybe he just wanted to use him, or maybe he felt pity.

He never talked to anyone in school either. He stuck out, no one liked him.

I did a forest-witch kind of thing but it just didn't look good. Hard to work with stuff if most of my things are white, black and blue with a few other colors scattered. I rarely let myself spend AP on different clothes to use in the contest so yeah. I remembered Galadriel from lotr was called a witch sometime? So I went in that direction and did a fantasy, elf-like witch of some sort. I'm just bored of witch themes like everyone else

Well shame on me but I had no idea how many children she has and who are they (still don't lol). I did a search on google but I got tired quickly so I just asked my greek mythology nerd friend. She said her daughters are the moirai (along with a lot of others), the fates. At that point I kinda knew what she was talking about since my memories from school started to come back. Also Hercules was my favourite childhood movie lol. I tried to do a magical cave of some sort with the background? My memories can be wrong but I remember they're in a cave or something. We did a whole conversarion with my friend to decide which hand accessory would fit the best, since we don't have scissors, nor any spinning thread or whatever they're called. Maybe I didn't have to do all of this research and just make a "the night's daughter" outfit, but that's lazy and lame imo🫠

Okay so this is embarrassing, but I had to look up the meaning of a grimoire and I was so fixated on it that I forgot the cursed part😔 I'M SORRY but if I have to be honest I think the fit is fire, just maybe not for this theme. I was confident I wanted to use purple but then I saw two shared items and built the outfit around them lmao. The lore is a spellcaster student finding this particularly magical book in the school's library.

Well I have to add that I made this with my friend and we didn't take it seriously so it's not that great. But yeah, the spiderman's green goblin was our inspiration. Had a whole discussion if pumpkin Taki or bank robbery Taki is better.

Also an average outfit, more like a werewolf in the everyday life than an over the top wolf cosplay. That wouldn't really work out. Not a high effort one, but I like it.

I got style contest block or I don't know, half of the time I just sat there and had no idea what the hell I want to do. I became the very person I despise and just put random clothes on that's somewhat okay with the theme. Skeleton parts are obvious, the necklace is to give somewhat a spiderweb vibe? Flowercrown for some religious nod to Jesus? I was trying but I'm on a losing streak here.

At this point I should give up because. Oh my god. I'm so so sorry. The themes are really cool but I just have 0 inspiration for them, or can't 100%. Maybe it's really because at this point it's kind of repetitive. Using the same clothes differently all the time, I think I'm just at my limit of what I can do with them. This is like a demon of some sort who's there to torture people? Used as many gold stuff as possible because fire and riches and I don't know. I'M NOT PROUD.

Pennywise, obviously. Although it's not a cosplay, I used the new doll skirt and built everything around it. I think I'm back with this (okay no I'm not 100% satisfied but better than the 2 before). Don't judge because of some elements, some stuff from the halloween bank outfit were shared and I just had to try them out 😔 (thanks from here again for the shared items!! I love you guys. Can never thank them enough)

oh i’ve been meaning to ask but i forgot, so in the last chap of kickoff, when kai’s friend, (i forgot his name 😭), the one interviewing reader, he sees the folder she’s carrying at first and say something to kai along the lines of “you didn’t tell her?”

but kai is looking at him and saying like what do you mean like he genuinely doesn’t understand. but then the friend has this look of understanding (i think that’s what it said?) and says “never mind”

did kai really not get it or was he just playing dumb and the friend caught onto it?

sooo ren and kai have been friends for a long time, and they’ve both worked their fair share of shitty film jobs, so they both know very well that women have it way worse in the industry w exploitation n harassment etc they have to deal w just to get a foot in the door of an extremely competitive n male-dominated line of work. but kai has taken an approach of indifference while ren has adopted an ideal of “oh that’s just how things are! can’t change anything ab it”

so kai’s whole purpose was to create an intervention where reader would hear it from someone with much more experience in the field than him or her—ren—and he figured that it would be enough to convince her to pivot paths, because he’s insecure n doesn’t want a girl who rejected him to succeed any further than he was able to (but also just in general, tbh i headcanon that reader isn’t the first undergrad he’s tried to ‘steer in the right direction’ bc he’s miserable n it makes him feel better ab his own shortcomings)

ren, who knows that kai knows very well that the assistant job has NOTHING to do with actual respectable film work, was surprised to see reader w the envelope because that meant that kai must’ve sold the position to her as if it were legit. ren’s ideology is “that’s just the way it is”, and he honestly expects reader, and other aspiring female film majors, to share that view as well (meaning, he thought that just her showing up for that interview meant she was agreeing to a job she knew would be exploitative just out of desperation)

so when ren sees that kai didn’t tell her that info, i’m assuming he realizes what kai’s whole plan is w her, but kai acts aloof because he doesn’t want to be aired out as the “bad guy” in this situation. he wants that blame to fall on ren instead (also hence why kai distances himself from ren in the first place by giving reader the impression he hardly knows him) ren realizes this and humors him, because he figures kai probably has some sort of interest romantically with reader.

i thought a lot about kai’s intentions in ch9, and i think it basically comes down to this: he doesn’t want to see reader succeed because it makes him hella insecure, and so he manipulates her emotionally in a lot of ways, but he still wants to be the “good guy” in the situation to keep open the prospect of some sort of either romantic or sexual relationship with her. unfortunately he’s a dumbass and his plan hella backfired n she’s probably gonna get him hella fired too lmfaoo
