It's a hard process to get him to be comfortable and show affection

BUT HE REALLY LOVES BEING AFFECTIONATE AND RECEIVING THEM

The moment you're on hugging territory with him, he trusts you with his whole black goopy heart

He is such a gentleman, he's most likely using his powers to spoil you and don't even realize he's overdoing it.

His love language is probably quality time or acts of service (idk yet)

Wally loves receiving affections like hugs and kisses. Makes him warm and fuzzy. Plus! he also doesn't hug back, but instead he just stands there and accept the hug since he didn't know what he's supposed to do with his arms (he still knows what a hug is. He's just awkward)

He's very protective. Mostly because Home would use the things he likes and love against him, so he doesn't want to risk it to someone important to him ahem Valentine's day

Then one more thing, HE IS SUPER TALKATIVE, He will ramble for a good hour or so about whatever knowledge and rant that comes to mind

Holy shit I love your Dirk interpretations, it's so true and I could talk about this shit forever. I feel like another part of his character that people seem to forget (along with Roxy for some reason) is that he's from the future in solitude in an apocalyptic wasteland. I just see that part of his character always removed which is disappointing because I feel like that's a pretty big part, especially regarding his themes around technology, his brother's theme of Time, his own isolation, and how he plays in the vastness of the universe and spacetime.

Art I drew related to the subject because I like to respond to asks with art.

But absolutely. I certainly understand where the lack of discussion over his isolation + upbringing comes from, considering a majority of the fanbase that I have seen builds their ideas based on their own version of postcanon. I’m not entirely sure how that would be fixed, but certainly even in the somewhat recent past I would see a lot more content regarding his upbringing both literally and symbolically. I don’t have much to add regarding the things you’ve mentioned, because they just are what they are. Dirk being confined to a singular room left to him by a father figure he never met, in a future where the only other person left on the planet is someone he cannot pursue a relationship of because of himself, with purely 3 robots to keep him companion, one being an exact replica of his own brain who is *also* trapped inside a pair of glasses, is about as literal as it gets to me.

The contrast to me involving the flooded, organic world in comparison to the little speckle of Dirk’s apartment packed with the dude and his technics is not only a representation of his isolation and entrapment within himself, but also of his lack of control. I think his obsession with & themes of control are a direct product in the case of Dirk specifically *of* this kind of upbringing. His themes of technology are also related to his themes around control. So much of his character is actually revolved around this to me like so much. Dirk is so deeply disconnected from humanity in every way and so much of his character + symbolism is based around that.

It doesn’t even have to be about the symbolism or anything though. It’s just pretty *interesting* in the literal sense that he lives in the middle of the ocean in the future. There’s not only a lot to theorise on to do with his young life there, but on how it might affect him in the way he acts for the rest of his life. The latter part is probably what I see mentioned the most by people talking about Dirk regarding this, I’m surprised I don’t see more discussion on the former too though. I really ought to actually talk more about Homestuck stuff on here. I will do it myself.

Roxy & Dirk’s relationship is largely ignored though because there is a narrative a certain demographic spreads that Dirk resented and blamed Roxy for her interest in him, and thus too many people believe that their relationship was or would continue to be an abusive one. Realistically, I believe it’s important to acknowledge that the way Roxy treated Dirk regarding his homosexuality wasn’t right while still acknowledging the obvious amount of respect and admiration Dirk had for Roxy. I mean we have a huge piece of dialogue from their post trickster mode conversations on the quest beds from Dirk purely stating how he feels about Roxy that people completely ignore somehow. I think this usually happens to characters that are women though. I know everyone says it, but it is true. Jane gets the exact same treatment of boiling her down to solely her negative aspects. The things I see completely mischaracterising both of them are horrific.

I mean how much more explicit can it get that their relationship is obviously very important to Dirk? But I digress. I think the best or I should say “most interesting” interpretations of their relationship usually come from DirkRoxy shippers actually.

I would be interested to hear about Dirk’s relation to his brother’s theme of time though. I don’t have any thoughts on this and I don’t recall ever hearing anyone talk about it before. If you or anyone else would be willing to enlighten me I’d be thrilled.

I'm very sorry for how I went about this whole debacle, all I wanted was for you and other people to take things like this seriously, and for you to change your behavior and see that saying things like the things you've said about people like me is very harmful and is violent, passively or not.

This fandom has a problem with queerphobia, ever since the reveal of that " conservative " lu server people with ill thoughts about people like me have been sprouting up everywhere, I'm very sorry that my frustration from that got in the way of telling you to better yourself.

I didn't know about that issue in the fandom since I haven't been here for long. Now when I think about it, im pretty sure I saw such ppl around the internet. I think so, im not exactly sure. But queerphobia definitely isn't something good so I feel sorry that you dealt with such ppl. And again, apology accepted.

Now, about my homophobic behavior and harmful words towards LGBT people. Please take me seriously, im genuinely sorry for everything i said. Forgive me for my words. Now when I reread everything I wrote in some posts, i see that it can be taken in a rude and offensive way. And all i can say is that it's for two reasons: my anger and my past experiences with ppl. I now acknowledged those two reasons after a long while of thinking, but they aren't an excuse for my words and behavior, so again, im sorry. Now, for better understanding, if your don't mind, id like to explain these two reasons that probably caused my behavior, which again, aren't an excuse, id just like to let you and everyone else know, if you want.

1. Anger: maybe you haven't seen it or you haven't known, but in other fandoms and other social media I've been roaming around on, there were ppl that were fully disrespectful towards cis and straight ppl and completely disconnected from the fandom. Some members of the LGBT community saw us straight ppl as "incorrect" in some way and how we are unfair with not being a part of the community, so i saw fandoms in which being straight was a big burden. Ppl like me were pushed away and harmed, which by only seeing that made me furious. There were also instances in which, even to me in some occasions, LGBT was pushed to us on how we must also be a part of it and how we are psychopaths for being straight. It was literally pushed under our noses and basically forced upon us, which was very annoying. And THAT is what I find annoying about SOME LGBT ppl. I find ppl that force others into LGBT annoying. I, now, realize that not every LGBT person is like that, but before i didn't know that.

2. Past experiences with ppl: i explained a bit above, but there's also another occasion which really gave me a bad view on homosexuals. When I first came to Tumblr, there was an adult that wanted to befriend me. The more I respectfully talked to them, the more they were forcing to know my age and, from what I remember, were forcing me to accept that im a part of LGBT in some way. Ofc, i didn't tell that person my age, but the way they were rude and were forcing it upon me was infuriating and I just ignored them until they stopped. That was actually my first interaction on Tumblr and also my first interaction with a homosexual. So, since I didn't met other LGBT ppl back then, it gave me an image that every homosexual is like that, which when I think about it, is pretty stupid and incorrect.

With these two things above, i had, i admit it, pretty much a bad view on homosexuals and, not gonna lie, i did hate LGBT then. Also where I grew up, in Europe, the big majority and even my entire family were homphobes, so I suppose that I subconsciously had a bit of their behavior. Since I didn't have experience with LGBT ppl, i had a bad view on them, which up to recently, kept me angry. With anger, i said things that i now regret, and im truly sorry for that. Also about the usage of words "disturbing", " weird " and "disgusting". I remember that i used those words, but now I don't remember why did i use such harmful vocabulary. I assume it was in anger and frustration, so now i regret that I caused such harm.

Im truly sorry and I hope that you and all other members of the LGBT community forgive me for my behavior. I swear that it was said in anger and frustration and that now i regret it. I promise to take better care of my language. Im grateful that you pointed out my mistake, but if you could please to next time do it more gently and calmly, since it didn't cause harm only to me but to my friends and my older sibling as well. Im pretty sure that they also said everything in anger and that they didn't truly mean what they say. I apologize in their name, i hope you don't mind them. I now see that we both might need to control our anger better, don't you think? Again, thank you for pointing out my mistake and I promise to fix it and work on it to not happen again. I hope you accept my apologies.

As of saying to fix it, if my words hurt you that much and if you'd like me to, ill edit them or take them down if you want. I took down my intro post and am now working on editing it, but if my other posts are also an issue, please let me know if you want me to take them down. Depending on the post, ill either delete it completely or only edit it to remove the harmful words. Not only the posts, i promise to pay better attention to what i say.

10. Who drives and who picks out the music?

Both drive, I just think it's dependent on their mood or who's more tired; Oliver would insist so he would drive a majority of the time though. As for the music, it would definitely be Oliver, I think most hc him as half-blood – though, it can be the same in muggle AUs, I don't think Percy listens to music often in general, maybe classical music if he does? BASICALLY I think Oliver would have more music genius than Percy would so he'd choose the music

14. Who does fashion shoes after a mall trip and who watches and compliments them?

This is an interesting one and I'll go with the unorthodox option and say that Percy would be the one to do the fashion shows but like as a joke? The way I imagine it is at least is that Oliver likes to spoil him and Percy uses the "fashion shows" as a way of repaying him because Oliver will refuse to let him pay him back with money

22. How do they apologise after arguments?

I'm gonna section this off

If Percy is at fault then I feel he'd isolate himself because he's bad at communicating his feelings but at most it would take him a few days, no more than a week to properly apologise. It's a quiet thing, he probably does it when they're about to sleep or when they're leaving for work in the morning but Oliver appreciates the sentiment anyway

If Oliver is at fault he would apologise immediately as he's realised he overstepped or said something wrong or depending on the intensity if the argument I think he would apologise a few hours later

hi viktor, pokemon are those animal shaped beings that will possess some type of affinity to some of the powers demonstrated below. they most often live wandering in the wild, but they can be captured (read: domesticated) and are most often maintained in this ball, for convenience's sake of not having a bunch (mostly 6) of volatile elements hovering around you.

I forgot to mention it earlier, but their origins are from an anime whose protagonist is Ash Ketchum from Kyoto and his goal is to become a master trainer of Pokemons, If I'm not mistaken? they have a bunch of creation myths about their pokemons, but my knowledge ends here. You look a lot like an Espeon, though
