top five figure skating routines of all time? not necessarily the best executed or scored but the ones that hit you the hardest <3

oh lmao this is gonna out me as a fake fs fan who's really only been following the sport for the last like... 8 years. there is not gonna be anything on this list before the 2010s, and these are all gonna be the most basic takes. we don't care. we like what we like. i don't know sports, but i think there must be smth about the first athletes you really follow that just makes them a cut above the rest and makes them stay with you forever. so here's that, for me.

1) tessa and scott's "moulin rouge" at the 2018 pyeongchang olympics:

nothing will ever be this, no one will ever be them. truly the greatest moment in Sport History. the greatest in choreography, in presence, in chemistry. the greatest warhorse, the greatest team of all time. and the best they've ever been!! being able to watch this routine get better and better and then have them preform it the best they ever had when the stakes could not have been higher. the music starts and i get chills over my whole body. also the hugs and kisses after, the moment they find out they win. nothing will ever top this moment for me. you truly had to have Been There Gandalf, that season, their comeback, to understand the euphoria of that moment. literally bottle it and sell it as crack tbh. (also scott mouthing along to "come what may" always makes me fucking EMO lol)

2) evgenia medvedeva's "anna karenina" also at the 2018 pyeongchang olympics:

imma be real with you bestie, this is not even close to the greatest ladies fs routine of all time, and yet it is the routine i end up rewatching the most. something about it. i think to myself, "it's time to rewatch evgenia medvedeva's anna karenina again" a few times a month. and like, it is beautiful. no matter how many times i watch it i am entertained and engaged the entire time by the weird ass swirly swirls. but the emotion, the stakes, the drama. it just makes everything better and more poignant. i watch the whole thing with my heart in my throat. the way she's full sobbing by the end of it, and knowing how it all turns out, just gets me man. 2018 was such a blessed, cursed time.

3) tessa and scott's 2008 world championship "umbrellas of cherbourg"

oh hey look, something from before 2010. in all seriousness all this list is telling you is that i am an ice dance fan first and foremost, and a tessa and scott fan before that. as far as comfort programs go this is probably my number 1. i've watched it so many times. i used to tell people it was my favorite figure skating routine, and watching it again now i'm like, based?? there is something so intoxicating about this routine. they are just little babies!! and the near kiss at the end always sends me into a tizzy. this routine has cast it's spell on me. i am it's humble servant.

4) piper and paul's "hitchcock" routine from 2014 world's:

i can't believe i almost forgot this one. THE CUNT!! THE CUNT!! who the fuck else doing it like these PSYCHOS??! paul's face at the end. literally no one has ever served more face. face card carding or whatever the kids say.

5) yuzuru hanyu's prince routine from 2017 world's:

i can't believe i'm picking (1) yuzu routine and it's this one. i oscillated so much between this one and "hope and legacy" which is obviously gorgeous and iconic, yet here we are. it was my first instinct so i'm going with it. but i have no explanation. he fucks up his quad sal and very nearly falls, adding a double on the end and still managing to serve absolute cunt. at some points you can barely hear the music over the sound of the screams. truly, performance of all time!! the stupid lil vest/pants combo. his cunty lil dance moves. he is truly in his element here. i love him sm.

|| The Friends Era (2014-2016)

Yoonmi and Mark actually met in 2014 because SHINee’s Jonghyun introduced them, but we didn’t actually get any public interaction or word of their friendship until 2015. Yoonmi was 2 years into her career, and Mark hadn’t even debuted yet, but he was on Mickey Mouse Club. Yoonmi guested on one episode where the concept was having all the staff leave the kids with Yoonmi so they would be comfortable asking her for advice and what to expect as kids in the music industry.

Mark had taken one of the seats next to her and offered her a blanket to cover her legs with because she was in shorts. Although Hannah led the others in speaking to Yoonmi, the latter often looked to Mark for what seemed like encouragement to speak.

We don’t get any interactions between them again until Mark debuts a year later. NCT U’s The 7th Sense promotions overlapped with BTS’s Fire promotions. When Fire won 1st place in Music Bank, Mark can be seen giving Yoonmi a one-sided hug. Just a month later, Yoonmi was promoting her solo debut the same time NCT 127 was promoting their debut. When Yoonmi won 1st in MCountdown, the tannies weren’t there, so Key had 127 accompany Yoonmi on stage.

Though many people got distracted by the fact Yoonmi and Haechan had a secret handshake, no one missed how Mark and Yoonmi lingered in their hug a little longer, or how he stayed next to her the whole encore stage. An ex-SM staff mentioned that Mark walked her back to her waiting room, which was on the opposite end of NCT 127’s.

Months later, it’s awards show season. Most known NCT-BTS interactions consisted of Hannah and Yoonmi hanging out, but apparently Yoonmi went to NCT Dream’s dorm often. Back to awards shows, MAMA was a gem. Not only were there Markmi hugs (the ICONIC ending stage hug where he lifted her), we had Yoonmi rapping along to Mark’s verses, Mark cheering especially in Yoonmi’s parts, and even Mark possibly jealously watching Yoonmi and NCT Jisung talking.

|| The Courting Era (2017-2018)

We didn’t actually know this at the time, but Mark and Yoonmi talked about it after they were exposed. Fans had released pictures from down the street of a KFC where you could see Mark and Yoonmi talking. At the time, we all thought it was them bonding while preparing for the SM Station Yoonmi would feature in and Mark’s feature in her album, but apparently Mark had also confessed to her and promised he’d prove himself when she said she felt scared.

They did a good job of keeping it lowkey. Aside from rare school photos together, the release of All I Wanna Do, Wannabe, Mark promoting with Yoonmi for Wannabe, their KCon Mexico special stage, and the selfies they posted after each of those, there was no visual evidence of them spending time together. Hannah and Jungkook (Chocouple nation presidents) sometimes would mention Markmi hanging out, but that was it.

|| The Secretly Dating Era (2018-2020)

Their anniversary is in early February, that’s all we know. They like keeping it private, and we respect that. But apparently Mark set up an at-home date for them and officially asked her that day to be his girlfriend. 

They still did a good job of keeping it lowkey to the point where apparently most of the neos didn’t even know they were dating, but everyone noticed how, despite how both of them had increasingly busy schedules, they both seemed to glow and be happier. (Aside from those few weeks Yoonmi and Yoongi were at odds, which is rumored to be because Markmi started dating)

|| The Reveal (January 1, 2020)

Every year, kpop and kdrama fans wait for Dispatch’s celebrity couple drop on New Year’s Day. To everyone’s surprise, Mark and Yoonmi were announced. Stan Twitter went into pandemonium, and everyone was clowning dispatch because we all knew they were “just friends”. 

To everyone’s further surprise, SM and BigHit both confirmed it later that day, and Mark and Yoonmi themselves tweeted about it, confirming they were dating.

|| The Struggle Era (2020)

Around late January of 2020, Yoonmi released a M.Y. Everyday video titled “I have a Boyfriend”. Here, we found out about the courting era, how long they’ve been dating, and the fact that they have been dating for around two years by then. It’s also cute because around the middle of the year they ended up both having pink hair!

It was rough for them since their schedules kept them apart, then Covid hit, and they didn’t get to see each other at all. It wasn’t until around August, eight months later, that they were able to see each other. Mark said it was the best birthday gift he could get, seeing Yoonmi and even having her play the leading lady in his “As We Wish” mini drama. Watch it, I’m begging! Every source ever that was there for the filming said the two were just holding hands and silently exchanging smiles and stories almost the whole time.

They did a weverse/vlive together, each of them streaming from each of their phones. They were smiling and leaning on each other the whole time, answering questions, and everyone could see how happy and comfortable they were with each other.

|| The Private but Not Secret Era (2021-eternity)

We don’t actually know too much about their relationship since they have been keeping it between them and their close friends and family (WHICH WE SHOULD RESPECT, OKAY?), but we do know from some stories that they try their best to spend time together whether it’s going out or staying in each other’s places. As fans, let’s remember that we should be more than happy with the fact that they actually talk about or mention each other a lot, especially compared to other celebrity couples. We also get the birthday posts and the occasional random instagram stories, but that’s it, and that’s more than enough.

Mark and Yoonmi are two of the most precious, talented, and hard-working people in the entertainment industry, and I’m glad they found comfort and solace in each other. As of this month (december 2023), they have been together for five years and about ten months. Cheers to a bright future for the both of them!

Their typical students range from preschoolers to college students, even including homeschooled kids and those outside the country. But they’re flexible too, offering their services to people of all ages, including professionals. To win customer loyalty, they pour their hearts into the business. They’re not in it just for profit, they genuinely believe that music is essential for the community. Their focus is on helping students grow and develop a real love for music.

The manager shared how fortunate they are to have retained customers who love their services, regardless of the time of year. Their current goal is to raise awareness in the community about how musicians pour their hearts into their work and deserve recognition. They also want to debunk the old stereotype that musicians can’t make a living. As they put it, "Music isn't just about impressing people, it’s about touching their hearts." Everyone has their own reason for learning music, and they want to be the bridge to their students’ dreams and hobbies.

When it comes to resolving issues, they handle everything with care and kindness. They stay ahead of the curve through innovation, and their greatest achievement? Earning the trust of their students and customers, especially when it comes to musical progress. The manager also gave a piece of advice: "Put your heart into your work, not just into marketing. Understand your people and make a real impact on their lives."

Hannah's Cake Decors and Party Needs:

Hannah’s are specializing in party decorations and cake decors. Interestingly, they don’t have any direct competitors in SM Downtown, and they stand out because of the quality of their products. Their regular customers include children, students, and parents. Their sales typically peak during Christmas and whenever SM has a sale. If any customer complaints arise, their manager personally handles them. To keep up with market trends, they continuously modernize their product designs, making them more appealing, especially to kids.

Far East Medical:

Far East Medical opened its doors in March 2017. Their main products are wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, and scooters. With no direct competitors, they stand out by offering lifetime service with free labor, which keeps their customers coming back. Their primary customers are senior citizens and people with disabilities (PWD). One of their biggest challenges is running out of stock for specific items customers need. Their peak season is typically during the “ber” months. Their goals? To hit their sales quota and continue promoting their business on social media.

They use Store Hub for their daily operations and regularly order new, durable equipment to stay competitive. Their proudest achievement is making seniors’ lives better. The manager shared a helpful piece of advice: “Running a business like this requires a lot of patience because sales won’t be high every single day.”

DeoGlow:

DeoGlow, which opened in 2019, offers beauty products and services. Their main competitor is Skin Station, but they stand out through their personalized services and the beauty of their staff.

One of their most notable customers is the Mayor of Villanueva. They maintain customer loyalty by always offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere—complete with big smiles—and engaging customers in friendly conversations.

Their biggest challenge is hitting their sales quota, but they’re lucky to have loyal customers who help them peak every month. One of their strategies is offering promotions, like dropping the price of a service from ₱27,000 to ₱10,000. While they don’t use any automated systems, they do manual accounting for sales. When it comes to employee feedback, the manager listens and promotes teamwork. As for customer complaints, they handle them humbly and try to understand the customer's side.

The manager’s advice to others in the business? “Even if you're having a bad day, just smile and stay positive.”

Better Components:

Better Components, which opened in May 2017, sells musical instruments, speakers, and more. Their typical customers include barangay personnel and school staff. They keep customers coming back by building strong relationships and offering high-quality products. Their biggest challenge so far has been bouncing back after the pandemic and meeting their sales quotas. Their sales peak during Christmas and summer, thanks to promotions.

They’ve got a marketing team, and they track success based on sales targets. Their operations are managed through an inventory warehouse system connected to their finance department. New employees undergo an orientation and training period. When it comes to handling feedback, the manager emphasizes not being bossy. Customer complaints are approached calmly to avoid escalation.

To stay competitive, they offer promotions even when profits aren’t the main focus, and they promote heavily online. Their greatest achievement has been meeting their sales targets. The manager’s advice:

“Don’t be a bossy leader���encourage teamwork to keep everything running smoothly.”

(this has been in my drafts for almost a month but i saw this tweet and decided i might as well write a little more and share)

part of the reason a survival show is a horrible idea for nct tokyo is because i feel like nct members have a very specific vibe. like you know when we call taeyong THE neo or say that something like a song or concept or outfit is “neo,” like it’s hard to explain but there is a certian vibe for sure… i don’t think it’s a coincidence that quite a few members were street cast or sought after specifically as opposed to regular auditioning like most kpop trainees.

this is also part of the reason why i think limitless expansion only yielded 23 members at the group’s largest point, because honestly if it was just about adding people mindlessly they could debut any somewhat talented somewhat attractive young male trainee and call it a day 😭

(i think the nct dream graduation system failing because it was so poorly organized is to blame too, with a graduation system rotational group it would be far easier to introduce new members but honestly no one really wants/wanted that)

sm has never cared about being organized with the nct units since so many members like sungchan, shotaro, ten, and kun remained unitless for years. they literally could have just added more people during nct 2020 or 2021. but i still think that back then they had a shred of integrity and knew that adding any boy to a group with a very specific vibe is just not the move.

it’s like when nctzens say only nct can cover nct. i literally knew nothing about these trainees when i started writing this, as of today i know their faces, names, and ages. i don’t think it’s right for me to judge them since i have never seen any of these guys perform, but i feel like there are other issues too.

going off track with this whole neo vibe talk, i am still so concerned about the gap in experience and even age. there are 06 and 07 liners in the competition, and that is just…… we do not need more 15 year olds in kpop. we do not want 15 year olds in nct. we have seen nct dream talk about how hard it was to debut at such a young age we do not need that or want that. there’s gonna be almost a 15 year gap between taeil and these little kids. this wouldn’t be as apparent of an issue if the limitless expansion thing had literally expanded to the point where new people are added all the time, but since nct will have less than 30 members it’s much more visible. nct has done so many mature concepts we do not need kids in nct

also because so many nctzens are adults too. i honestly don’t know how many new fans this unit is gonna bring in. i think sm saw how popular boys planet was and was like ok 😄👍. but i do not see this new unit brining in many fans, from what i’ve seen nct is already quite popular in japan. i don’t even think the 5 nctzens that are all all unit stans will tune in because we do not like this idea as a whole. and now that i am nearly 20 i avoid every group with extremely young members, i literally do not think i can stan a group where every member is younger than i am if i am literally just 19. so if none of the 02 or 03 (or even 04) boys make it…. yeah not good. we want older people please

and now: experience gap

literally over half of nct have been idols for over 7 years, which is how long most idols last at all in the industry (if they’re lucky and don’t disband earlier). in other instances where members debuted later (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) the gap was less of an issue for a few reasons. in 2018, nct were still a pretty young group and still were establishing themselves. and since all the new members debuted in nct u with their more experienced counterparts, it was a benefit overall since the older members could help the newer ones. and i think in 2019 it was the same. when xiaohenyang debuted in wayv, the other 4 members of the group that debuted with them had been in the group for at least one (or, almost one) year at that time. and winwin had been in a fixed unit since debut and i think all of that helped the new members not stick out as inexperienced at all. and obviously by the time they debuted in nct u the following year they had already gained a lot of skills on their own.

as for sungtaro, it was similar to nct 2018 in the sense that it was just them and debuting in nct u with other members who were more experienced and could guide them. and when nct tokyo debuted they would have that connection to the main group thanks to sungtaro. and now we don’t have that. and it’s probably gonna be seven 15 year olds hanging out with grandfather aged nct 127 i hate it here 😭

Though Sohee was the first born to her parents, she was the fifth member of the household. Graciously, her grandparents allowed their daughter and her husband to start a family while living in their home. Of course, her being the first baby meant everyone fawned over her and never let her out of their sight. Sohee was spoiled with both love and attention from every member of the family. That is until her mother fell pregnant with the first of her many siblings.

With each coming child, Sohee’s parents’ attention drifted further and further away from their first born. By the time she was four years old, Sohee was on her parents’ hand and foot, helping them raise two kids. By the time She was eight, the amount of kids had tripled. Sohee had spent her childhood busy cleaning up after and taking care of her siblings, you could say she never really had a childhood to begin with. That's definitely how she sees it.

As Sohee grew into adolescence, she became disconnected and angry. She felt trapped in her own home, never getting a moment alone, a moment of silence, a moment to breathe. The idea of running away from home ran rampant in her mind for years but the reality of living on the streets always deterred her. Instead she signed herself up for every possible study group and extra curricular she could as an excuse to keep herself out of the house. She even picked up a few part time jobs so she could work on the weekends and evenings to have some pocket change if she ever really did decide to leave home for good.

Becoming an idol trainee never crossed Sohee’s mind until she overheard a classmate boasting about how her parents are letting her move into a company dorm in Seoul to become a trainee. From that day forward Sohee looked into open auditions being held in the area for the next few months and attended every single one. She wasn’t necessarily faceted with any talent that was required to become an idol but she was in fact beautiful. It definitely showed by the overwhelmingly positive response she got from a handful of companies. Seeing as she got a response from SM Entertainment, she picked the obvious choice.

It took some major convincing, as well as, a promise of financially supporting her family for her parents’ to allow her to move out and train under the company. So, in 2010 Sohee began her journey of becoming a Kpop Idol. Though she was met with a lot of struggle, Sohee enjoyed training and soon grew passionate. Now actually interested in making her debut, she worked hard to improve and honne in on the skills she was originally lacking. Finally after seven long years of training, Sohee debuted as the main vocalist in Pandora, SM’s latest girl group.

Valentines Day trip back in time. From the series of things that make me go hhhmmm. I got the feels over this one. A posted a pic of T in Berlin on his sm accounts on Valentines Day 2017. [I did not see mentions of anyone else. E let her followers know on the 15th that A had cooked a meal for her the night before.]

A’s Valentines post to E in 2018 was fairly normal except he paired it with a Tweet questioning why the human body having so many holes could be dunked under water and none of the water seep in.

On Feb 13, 2019, A/E/T cross paths in London which gives us the photo of A and T pointing at their magazine covers on display on a wall. I’d love to know more about why they met in London and anything that went down there. It was crickets on sm on Valentines Day 2019. Ten Lee Talks Art, Dance, and His New Represent Clothing Collection

"So what is the right answer for me? What do I have to do to really be the person I want to be? But then I realized that there's no right or wrong.”

A few days ago, musician and dancer Ten Lee — known for his work in K-pop groups such as NCT and SuperM, and the Chinese group WayV — shared a video of himself freediving in a deep pool. As Billie Eilish croons the opening to “idontwannabeyouanymore,” he launches into a somersault before swan diving easily onto his back, legs fluttering, arms outstretched, a mermaid embracing the open water.

The reason for the dive is a bit of a secret, he tells Teen Vogue, but not one necessarily related to forthcoming music with the groups he’s in. Rather, it’s one way he’s following his own artistic instincts. If he looks like he’s dancing underwater, that’s because he is, bringing to life a picture of a dance move that previously existed only in his head. “I have all these thoughts in my brain right now,” he says, “but I had to make it real.”

Though he floats seamlessly into different combinations of performers onstage, whether as part of the sensual WayV or the chaotic NCT or the maximalist SuperM, Ten has a fluidity and spirit all his own — especially in dance, where he thrives. Born Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul in Bangkok, Thailand, he joined SM Entertainment in 2013, debuting as part of NCT U in 2016. A turning point came in 2017, when he released his first solo single “Dream in a Dream,” a lovely, imaginative ballad that melds traditional East Asian instrumentals with woozy ambient pop, and has mesmerizing choreography to match. It was the first time he talked to the choreographers he worked with and shared his ideas of what he wanted to try. “I realized why all the hyungs sometimes like doing their own stuff,” he says. “It's because you’re putting your ideas in your own work.”

Now, he’s on the cusp of another turning point: earlier this month, he launched a clothing collection with Represent that features all of his original designs. Longtime Ten fans will know he’s into visual art, sharing regal sketches of his cats Leon and Louis and emotive, detailed doodles on his Instagram. (Fun fact: he toyed with the idea of designing cat clothes, but was concerned about how cats would clean themselves.) The new collection shows off his skill, of course, but it’s also a representation of his creative ethos, and who he wants to be as a person.

Titled “What is ??? THE ANSWERS,” the designs are explosive and bright, with symbols and metaphors galore. He draws various eyes, entranced by the way they show happiness, embarrassment, fear, the things people try to hide. In one design, he uses a cross, which has a double meaning: it’s the Chinese character for the number “10” and also a plus sign, representing the growth and potential he sees in himself.

Ten had long wanted to create a clothing brand, and when Represent approached him, he saw an opportunity to try something of his own. As a kid in Bangkok, he’d taken art lessons at the behest of his mom, who believed that studying art would help boost his IQ and improve his education as a whole. He didn’t really like it at the time, until he took the Cambridge IGCSE exam and tested highly in, you guessed it, art. “I was like, ‘Okay, I like art,’” Ten laughs. “Then I started drawing and trying to develop my own style.” Now, he turns to drawing when he’s feeling “negative energy,” like “when you're down or when you feel sad or when you feel like you're not good enough for something.” Drawing is a source of solace, and it also helps him focus and find clarity on more existential matters.

On Instagram, he wrote of the collection, “What inspires me to create these art pieces is to remind myself that there are no actual answers in what we do. I feel like we are creating all the rules and pressure ourselves with the word ‘standards.’ Who defines the standards of what is acceptable or not + what is right or not + what is enough or not??? The boundaries we draw might limit us from creating something we never knew were capable of.”

When he expands upon that Instagram artist statement, it’s with an interesting visual. “People try to make lines on you,” he says. It calls to mind something like Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, a representation of perfect proportions and clean, graphed segments. An idealized image that hardly ever exists.

“I was thinking about my own stuff, the things I have to do to get what I want, like my goals. And, what people said to me, maybe about [my] appearance or about the skills that I had, or my personality, and they told me to change this, do this. I realized that they're just making their own lines on me. So what is the right answer for me? What do I have to do to really be the person I want to be? But then I realized that there's no right or wrong.”

He connects his drawing to his dancing in one word: freedom. Both allow him to lose himself in the moment of creating something real and personal. But in art, it doesn’t matter so much about finding the right answer, or unifying perfectly with other people the way a highly choreographed dance requires.

“Art is more of an individual pleasure,” he says. “If Mark [Lee, his bandmate] is next to me, and I say like, ‘Hey Mark, do you think that clothing is nice?’ He might say no, but for me it was, ‘Wow, that clothing looks so beautiful.’”

Ten might be homed in on individual artistic expression at the moment, but that doesn't mean that's his sole focus. He also yearns for the day SuperM can reunite after members Baekhyun and Taemin return from their military service. “I will fight for that," he says. "We had so much fun touring and then working with all the hyungs. I hope there's a new project for SuperM to work on once everyone is back."

Wang Yong came to SM Entertainment in late 2012 and Lee Taeyong quickly took care of him under his wing. He was quite a popular trainee, not only because of his looks, but also because of his great talent for dancing, despite his young age. He was to the younger ones what Kang Seulgi was to Sohee.

Wang Yong was a sweet guy, it was inevitable for girls not to have a crush on him, and anyone in his place would take advantage of it, but not him. He was focused on doing what he had to do: training hard. That's the reason why his only friends for a long time were only Taeyong and Hansol.

Since her father was an Algebra teacher in an middle school near their house and her mother was a Japanese teacher in a local language school, Harumi grew up highly influenced by knowledge and curiosity

Unfortunately, at the age of 6, Harumi and her parents were involved in a car accident, resulting in their death at the spot. Luckily Harumi survived, despite heavily injured

She was transferred to an orphanage in New York, where she could afford a better treatment to her injuries and social assistance with her double nationality

Harumi was the eldest child in the orphanage and the least interviewed kid for possible adoptions, because of her age. Because of that, she matured quickier and learned how to mask disappointment

She decided to learn by herself Chinese and Korean - in an attempt to increase her chances of being adopted, even if through an international adoption

Four years later, when she was 10, Moon Seungyeon and Moon Bom adopted her and brought her to South Korea

Harumi got casted during a Sunday outing she had with her family. A scout heard her singing and playing guitar and decided to invite her for an audition

Seungyeon, Bom and Jianyu (her cousin) convinced her to try for it and, eventually, join SM as a trainee

A couple of months after she began a trainee, SM introduced her as one of the SMRookies, participating in shows such as "Mickey Mouse Club"

Debuted in August in NCT DREAM, charming the fans with her powerful and husky voice

Harumi is perceived as a sweet extrovert, always polite and warm towards anyone who approaches her. Though her soft looks and voice could mistake her as a shy girl, she is a truly happy virus

Her energy changes according to her surroundings. Whenever she’s with more playful members, she’s joking around and making a mess. However, with the calmer members, she can blend with them very well

Since she was the eldest in the orphanage, Harumi usually takes care of everyone around her, including the older members. She makes sure all the members are comfortable, healthy and happy

Harumi learned Korean and Chinese through grammar books she found in a library. Because she was really young, the girl often reached out to the employees to explain some topics (what was a verb, noun, for example)

An volunteer in the orphanage taught Harumi how to play guitar and, eventually, gifted her his old one

Every Saturday afternoon, the orphanage headmistress would take the kids to Central Park. Harumi started to sing and play guitar there just for fun, but people started to spare her a dollar or two

In her audition, Harumi sang "Growl", from EXO, an acoustic version that fit perfectly her huskier tone

Seungyeon and Bom gave Harumi her Korean name, but let her decide whether she would use it or keep her given name (Harumi actually cried when they let her keep "Miya Harumi")

She surprised all the trainees with her almost perfect Korean, especially after introducing herself with her Japanese name. They were even more shocked when they discovered she knew as well English and Chinese

Contrary to all the Dreamies, Harumi did not drop out of school, juggling her student and idol life. All the members were worried about her health, but when they discovered the reason why Harumi was so adamant to keep studying, they did everything they could to help her

March 5, 2014 - Adam charged with armed assault to murder after investigators say he shot a man in the head during a drug deal. Neighbor is concerned about young child living at this address, she thinks the parents are squatting there and have no electricity” (Source.) August 16, 2019 - The Millers meet Crystal and offer to adopt Harmony if the opportunity or need arises.

August 21, 2019 - Police receive more calls/complaints about squatters at the 77 Gilford St. Home. “There is a generator running and trash all over the place, unsure of how many people are there, numerous calls bout this, his Uncle Kevin Montgomery has been calling in checking conditions and harassing him DCYF has been involved as well. (Source.) September 9, 2019 - Police get more calls about the 77 Gilford St. home. Caller says that she is concerned that a dog at this address is getting abused. She hears yelling and the dog yelping and more yelling and then the dog gets put outside. (Source.)

September 18, 2019 - Police get another call about loud music around 3am and Adam Montgomery and Kayla talking, the next more there was “no movement” from the house and the car appears to have been broken into. The caller also says that they have been “dealing with this address for months.” (Source.) September 23, 2019 - A friend of Kayla & Adam Montgomery named Tabby Scott, posts separate selfies with Harmony, Kayla, and Adam with the caption “No matter what I love you guys to death”. Friend’s of the family say that Tabby is sort of a step-sibling to Adam. Her father dated Adam’s mother for some time and they lived with each other as kids and have remained close ever since. October 2019 - Kevin Montgomery (Uncle Kevin) calls Police to obtain an escort in order for him and his mother to go into the 77 Gilford st. home in order to pick up some of her things and check on the children. He felt like they needed a police escort because he didn’t want any confrontation. Kevin says he saw Harmony briefly and she looked “timid” (Source. Source.) October 2019 - Harmony is physically seen by police during a “Call for Service” at a Manchester home. This is what LE are going off of for last confirmed known whereabouts (Source. Source.) November 2019 - The Millers adopts Harmony’s half-brother Jamison. Brian & his partner say they have a close relationship with Crystal, it was an open adoption. They heard that Harmony and Jamison were close when they were in foster care and and even though they had never met her, tried to adopt Harmony as well but was told by the Massachusetts Department of Children & Families that Harmony was reunited with her father. Blair tried to get into contact with Harmony so her and Jamison could still have a relationship with no luck. (Source) Thanksgiving 2019 - Adam Montgomery claims that Crystal Sorey comes to Manchester to get Harmony. (Source) Thanksgiving 2019 - Christina Lubin (Kayla Montgomery’s mother) claims that she saw Harmony for the last time over Thanksgiving. This was the only time Christina has seen Harmony she said that she “looked clean, didn’t have any bruises, was extremely polite, very cute, it was very brief.” She also said that Kayla said that she went off to live with her biological mom. Thanksgiving 2019 - A neighbor (who wishes to remain anonymous) of Adam & Kayla Montgomery at the 77 Gilford St. home says that the home had fallen into foreclosure and the family were refusing to leav and basically squatting before finally being forced out. U.S. Marshals were coming to the home and leaving notices. The neighbor says that she went away for Thanksgiving break and when she came back the family had moved out. (Source.) Possibly Thanksgiving - December 6th - Christina Lubin states in an interview that she believes something could have happened during this time. That she saw Harmony on the day after Thanksgiving and that on December 6th Kayla and Adam and her 3 kids were homeless and asked to live at her house, but she said she didn’t have room, Harmony wasn’t apart of that conversation. This interview is hard to read because Christina keeps fumbling over her words and changing what she says. (Source) November/December 2019 - Kayla Montgomery claims that this is the last day she sees Harmony in person. She says that Adam was taking her to her biological mother (Crystal), and never saw or heard from her again. (Source.) January 20, 2019 - “DM” biological child of Kayla Montgomery and Adam Montgomery is born. (Source.) February 2020 - Kayla Montgomery becomes pregnant with “CM” biological child of Adam Montgomery. Possibly November 2020 - Adam Montgomery and Kelsey Small start dating. She said in her interview with Police on December 31, 2021 that they had been dating for over a year. (Source.) November 4, 2020 - “CM” biological child of Kayla Montgomery and Adam Montgomery is born. (Source.) January 2021 - Kayla Montgomery goes to a re-determination for their household for DHHS benefits. The case worker noted there was confusion re: Harmony as Kayla claimed she went to her biological mom’s house every weekend. (Source) March 2021 - Kayla Montgomery and her 3 children move in with her mother, Christina Lubin. June 2, 2021 - Harmony is removed from Kayla Montgomery’s DHHS benefits. Kayla told her case manager that Harmony moved back with her mother”. Kayla received 19 months of benefits during a time Harmony is unaccounted for = $2451. Anything greater than $1500 is a felony. (Source) June 27, 2021 - Crystal posts a video on ticktok of a slideshow of pictures of Harmony. A comment that she leaves on July, 28th 2021 reads: “Shes not quite missing. Her father has her & hasn't let me see her or talk to her in 2 years!!! For no reason just to hurt me... shes manch nh somewhere” “I need to find her!” (Source.) July 2021 - Kayla Montgomery and her 3 biological children begin living in a shelter. (Source.) July 2, 2021 -  Adam Montgomery’s mother in law (Christina Lubin) filed for a restraining order against him. The complaint says wife Kayla was living with her mother at the time due to alleged violence from Adam. Adam apparently came to the home and tapped on a window with a knife. (Source.) July 21, 2021 - Crystal tells the Millers she’s finally located Adam Montgomery, but he blocked her from social media immediately. October 2021 - Kayla Montgomery claims to have not physically seen Adam Montgomery since Late October and not spoken to him since mid-November 2021. Kayla claimed Adam was living in a sober house, and had then left the area to live in Maine with another female. (Source) November 18, 2021 - Manchester Police Department received a call from Crystal Sorey regarding Harmony Montgomery. Sorey reported that Harmony, who was in the physical custody of Adam Montgomery (her ex), was missing, and that she hadn’t seen Harmony in over six months. An employee of the Manchester Police Department contacted DCYF and learned of previous addresses associated with Adam. Manchester Police Officers checked those addresses, but were unable to locate Adam or Harmony. (Source) December 27, 2021 - DCYF notified the Manchester Police Department that they were unable to locate Harmony. Which made the MPD initiate an investigation. They spoke with various family members and was unable to make contact with Adam. This is where they learned Harmony had not been physically seen since October/November 2019. (Source) December 29, 2021 - Crystal sends email directly to Manchester’s Mayor. “My daughter is missing and DCYF won’t help.” (Source.) December 30, 2021 - Detective Abele spoke with Adam’s uncle, Kevin Montgomery, regarding concerns for Harmony. Kevin said that he has not seen Adam or Harmony since late 2019. However, Kevin had first-hand knowledge of the child’s eye injury from 2019. Kevin said that he observed Harmony with a black eye. Kevin notified DCYF after the fact with concern for the injury. Kevin says that Adam told he that he “bashed her around the house”. (Source) December 31, 2021 - Detective Dunleavy spoke with Kayla Montgomery. Kayla said that she last saw Harmony sometime in November or December of 2019, she saw Harmony one morning prior to going to work. Adam said that he was driving Harmony back to Crystal (her biological mother) who was living in Lowell, MA at the time. Kayla claimed that she never saw, or heard about Harmony after that day. Kayla also admitted that she had seen Harmony with a black eye in the past; however she explained that Adam told her that it was caused by one of their other children striking Harmony with a toy (Kayla and Adam share 3 biological children together who are all accounted for). (Source) December 31, 2021 2:15pm EST - Manchester NH Police asks for the public's help in locating a missing 7 year old child, Harmony Montgomery.”Manchester Police received a report this week that Harmony Montgomery has not been seen since late 2019. The circumstances surrounding this prolonged absence are very concerning and are being thoroughly investigated.” (Source) December 31, 2021 3:58pm EST - Manchester NH Police hold first press conference regarding missing 7 year old, Harmony Montgomery. Last seen “Late 2019″ They became aware that she was missing “early this week” . “We have spoken with family members of Harmony and despite doing so our concerns with her whereabouts remain the same” “Have not met the threshold for an amber alert, since they don’t know who she is with or what vehicle she is in” Last seen at a residence in Manchester, NH in October time frame of 2019.  LE does not believe she was enrolled in school, they believe the last time she was enrolled was in Massachusetts. LE was not sure if she was a resident of Massachusetts or what school she was enrolled in (if any). Not prepared to comment on if there were any custody issues. DCYF and Manchester NHPD are the only entities currently working on the case. The last time she was seen (in October 2019) was a result of a “Call to service” from the Manchester NHPD, that call to service was handled and that is the last time she was seen in the city of Manchester. (Source) December 31, 2021 - Patrol officers were able to make contact with Adam Montgomery and his new girlfriend Kelsey Small together sleeping in a vehicle in the area of Harvell Street in Manchester. Small says she has been romantically involved with Adam for over a year. She was aware that Adam has three children from one mother, and another child from before that. However, Small says that Adam was not in touch with any child from his prior relationship. Small claimed that Adam has never talked about Harmony and has no information on where she may be. Adam told Detective Dunleavy that Harmony was fine and he had seen her somewhat recently. However, as the conversation continued, Adam said that he had not seen Harmony since Crystal came to pick her up in Manchester around Thanksgiving 2019. Adam stopped questioning multiple times stating “I have nothing else to say” LE say that Adam did not exhibit much emotion or reaction to Harmony not being physically seen for over two years. (Source) December 31, 2021 - Detectives interview Crystal Sorey’s boyfriend, Joseph Eckert. He says that he was living with Crystal in 2019 and Harmony was not with Crystal at all from October 2019 to present. Joseph state that he ahs never met Harmony in person. (Source) January 2, 2022 1:15pm EST - Manchester NH Police post another Missing flyer on Facebook with a link to National center for Missing and exploited children, no additional info given. (Source, Source) January 2, 2022 - Police search the property at 77 Gilford St. in Manchester. Witnesses say canines were brought in. They were at the scene between 8:29am and a little after 2pm (Source. Source) January 3, 2022 3:59pm EST - Manchester NH Police hold second press conference. Reiterates that they are in “rescue mode, all efforts are in that Harmony is alive, and somebody knows something”.  LE confirms that the “Last seen on October 2019″ is confirmed by the city of Manchester, in combination by the “Manchester Police department and some other entities as well”. DCYF is helping LE with the historical side of information, and are the ones who brought the attention to LE that Harmony was missing. LE were not prepared to discuss what family members they have spoken to. They said they work with DCYF daily, it isn’t uncommon to get a call from them, “this particular call we prioritized as being the most important and is why we are here today.” They confirmed that they had an FBI representative that had a meeting with them that morning who are filled in with all information and if needed they will be able to assist. (Source) January 4, 2022 7:42pm EST - Reward Increased for info leading to Harmony Montgomery. Dick Anagnost, owner of Anagnost Realty and Development and Arthur Sullivan, owner of Brady Sullivan Properties that they are each doubling their offer to $10,000. Along with their generous donations, two anonymous Massachusetts businessmen, one from Lynn and another from Newton have also offered reward money totaling $10,500.With the Manchester Crimeline’ s $2500 offer, this brings the total reward to $33,000. Anyone with information about Harmony Montgomery is asked to call the Manchester Police Department’s dedicated tip line at 603-203-6060. It is manned 24/7 and can receive calls, texts, and voicemails. (Source) January 4, 2022  - Adam Montgomery, age 31, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested on January 4, 2022, in Manchester. Mr. Montgomery’s arrest was pursuant to an arrest warrant for one charge of felony second-degree assault arising from 2019 conduct against Harmony Montgomery, age 7, as well as one misdemeanor charge of interference with custody, and two misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child pertaining to Harmony Montgomery. Although an arrest has been made, the search for Harmony continues. (Source) January 5,2022 - Kayla Montgomery, age 31, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested on January 5, 2022, in Manchester. Ms. Montgomery’s arrest was pursuant to an arrest warrant for one charge of Welfare Fraud, a class A felony, contrary to New Hampshire RSA 167:17-b. This charge alleges that between December 2019 and June 2021, Kayla Montgomery obtained over $1,500 in food stamp benefits by failing to remove Harmony Montgomery from Kayla’s family account with NH DHHS Division of Family Assistance and continuing to collect food stamp benefits for Harmony, despite the fact that Harmony was no longer living with Kayla and Kayla’s husband, Adam Montgomery.Kayla Montgomery is not the biological mother of Harmony Montgomery. She said she expected Harmony to be there but Kayla said that she was with her mother.  Christina says that the family had been living in a car on the streets at the time. Christina says her daughter is a known liar but she believes her daughter. Kayla was working at a Dunkin Donuts at the time. “It happened in a week period anytime after Thanksgiving to before December 6th, I think something happened at that time. It is believed that they were using ground-penetrating radar equipment to detect and map out ground areas. The mapping allows them to determine concrete condition, structural integrity, slab thickness, and detect voids within or beneath concrete slabs. A short time after the men were seen standing in the street, Manchester police removed a large brown paper bag. A sergeant put the bag in her vehicle parked outside the house. They have told neighbors that they will be there all weekend, have closed off the street to anyone who does not live there. january of 2017 jyp introduced a debut project for their upcoming girl group inter-stellar in which each member was revealed by a solo song and music video. each music video and song showcased each members strengths and individual charms. a new member was revealed every month on the 6th until their pre-debut track was released in august 2017 with a music video and special stage on mcountdown. the debut project allowed for inter-stellar to create a strong pre-debut following as well as keep a buzz around their name all year to create anticipation for the group’s official debut.

because she was on sixteen her debut was highly anticipated so everyone was excited to see her debut !

her song highlighted how well rounded she was with strong vocals and her dancing shining throughout the mv

fans noted how much she improved since sixteen and her mv got a lot of attention and spread the news about her upcoming debut

02. NOVA : ONE SHOT TWO SHOT

‘one shot two shot’ was the most viewed of all the members because of the following she already created being on produce 101 and being apart of i.o.i

the music video was very much dance orientated and her dance skills were praised along with her undeniable stage presence

nova's vocals were amazing and her high notes gained her a lot of respect

her former i.o.i members all posted about her mv and spoke how proud they were and how their fans should support her and her upcoming group activities

03. TAEJI: JELLY

the song was very lively and fun and taeji got to showcase her personality a lot

the mv had a lot of cameos from different jyp idols such as twice’s jihyo(her sister) suzy , bam bam of got7 ,stray kids bang chan , nova and haeun

fans praised her rapping skills and were impressed by the way her stage presence shon through the music video

news broke out that she is jihyo's little sister and her music video got a lot of attention after that

there was a masked member who removed her mask in the end and revealed to be the next member : kelsi

04. KELSI: SOLO

out of all the music videos kelsi's felt the most luxurious and high end

fans noted how dark and almost sexy her music video was which was a huge change after taeji's the month before

her english rap was impressive as well as her soft vocals and the lyrics became a twitter meme for the month

rumours spread that kelsi was an ex-sm trainee and many watched her video and commented on how sm was missing out.

05. CLEO: HEART ATTACK

‘heart attack’ was the most “controversial” music video as it appeared to be showing cleo falling in love with a girl. her love interest in the music video was haeun

the music video quickly became a fan favourite and an unofficial lgbtq+ anthem on stan twitter which brought a lot of fans in

the song itself was praised for its uniqueness of sound and how her voice managed to capture emotion despite the bubblegum pop music

cleo's nature aegyo shon in her music video and it was undeniably adorable

her high notes were also acknowledged as the highest and her vocals were praised. many speculated she was set to be the main vocalist.

06. MIMI: LOVE CHERRY MOTION

everyone loved the sweetness of the song at first and the twist in the chorus which really showcased her duality

the dance break in the track was praised for its difficulty and fluidity. mimi was highlighted straight away for her dance skills and stage presence

the final scene of the music video showed all the girls running into a field at night under a lot of stars and turning back to the camera to focus on all 6 girls and finally announcing their group name “INTER-STELLAR”

because of the constant music videos throughout the year ‘freeze’ had a lot of buzz before it was even released

the music video was the perfect intro the internet-stellar . it had a whimsical, dreamy and sweet atmosphere just like they would have.

‘freeze’ was insanely catchy and was received well by the general public and their fandom kept growing

their unique and fun choreography was another point that was praised

the group performed ‘freeze’ on mcountdown twice !

each girl got to shine and showcase what they have to offer as individuals and as the new official jyp girl group inter-stellar !

by the end of their predebut project everyone knew who inter-stellar were and were excited for their debut !
