That is a code, your honor
I stayed away from Link Click in order to avoid any spoiler, to the point I only discovered today that episode 1 of the Yingdu chapter was released last friday.
There is a long frame by frame rewatch already waiting for me but, at this moment, I only want to focus on this frame in the opening:
I don't know if anyone has already done it but I've cracked the code and I wish to share it with you.
Yes, that is a proper code and is fully decipherable, if you want to solve it yourself I'll share some hints on how to do it, otherwise you can just skip to the actual message section down below.

HOW TO DECIPHER THE CODE, step by step
The message is in English, lucky for us non-Chinese viewers;
2. the code uses a substitution cipher, which means every symbol corresponds to a specific letter and that letter only.
With these two clues alone I think you can already approach the message, but if you wish for more hints, here they are:
3. I could think of two different ways to decipher the code, one takes longer but it requires only one cipher; the other one is easier but there is a twist to keep in mind.
4. The longer method consists of classical substitution cipher solving approach: symbols, or set of symbols, that occurs more often in the message can be correlated with letters (E, T, ...) or words (THE, AND, ...) that occurs more often in the english language.
5. The easier way is to recognise that the symbols belong to a well known cipher: the pigpin cipher! You can google it, see the pic below

Wait what?! That is not a solution! True, and that is the twist: pigpen alone doesn't solve the code, you need one more step, another substitution cipher.

THE BLABBERING
Already many interesting things everywhere!
This message implies the existence of 5+ people: the writer of the message; the target of the message; the hired detective; the "He" mentioned in the third paragraph; the "all potential" trouble igniters (at least 2, I'd say) that should be eliminated. The blond woman seems to be the target, since the message is under her cup of tea; Liu Xiao could be the detective but I bet he is the "He"; the trouble igniters are definitely Lu Guang, Cheng Xiaoshi and the whole gang. The other two characters are way less obvious, we can only assume their identity based on which one is missing; I can only speculate that Vein could be the detective, but he could also be your basic assassin; Finally, Xia Fei could be the writer of the message, if we accept the idea that he and the woman might be somehow blood related.
Then, we have the proper content of the message: a burning forest is mentioned and we know from S2 that a forest appears in Lu Guang's memory of CXS dying (and in the opening as well). Why so much emphasys is placed on the forest?
The next sentence "determined to prevent such traged(y)" might be the most revealing: what is the tragedy? The forest on fire or something else? If it's the former, how can the fire be prevented it it has already happened? Either, they dive back in the past and change it, which we know is no-go option, or the forest on fire was a vision from the future and there is someone (Liu Xiao?) with the ability to either foresee or actually dive in the future, completing the past, present and future pattern.

so I can't stop thinking about your dragon au. How did Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu meet? Are they Liushen before they're Bingliushen or just pining messes?
An excuse to talk about Liushen?? Y e s okay so!
The timeline is a little different in this au, meaning that Binghe is going to become a disciple at the sect but not until later (which means he never had to experience SJ), but they meet in the typical Lingxi caves type of situation. Except having a Qi Deviation is Much more dangerous when you are capable of turning into a fuck off sized dragon in a cave system that is not necessarily meant for full size dragons. Lqg treats SY with a lot of caution for a while because he recognizes that this person is (or at least was) SJ!Sqq, but knows that something is very different given that SY!Sqq has different coloration and an entirely different demeanor. He acts on this caution by being around SY a lot to observe him and tries to fight him a few times like he would with SJ but SY always declines.
Eventually they warm up to each other (SY always treated him as SY typically treats Lqg, teasing and whatnot) and as soon as SY realizes Lqg is being more friendly with him he is ecstatic and is even more teasing and friendly and invites Lqg into his hoard and home to hang out and eat together.
Which of course means that SY unknowingly initiates and engages in dragon courting!! And very intimate dragon behaviors that leave Lqg so so confused and scared and happy all at the same time. The little bit of angst in there is that Lqg thinks that this half-baked relationship means nothing to Sqq because of how he doesnât quite reciprocate things correctly and that heâs just one in Sqqâs long string of lovers and meanwhile SY!Sqq is just like :D wow! How dragons interact with their friends is so interesting (Theyâre pretty much moved in with each other and almost having gay sex and scent marking each other) (Lqg has given up most of his hoard to Sqq)

So essentially yeah, theyâre both happy (one of them reluctantly so) and have their weird not quite a relationship going on for a while and it doesnât progress past that until plot happens and Binghe returns as an adult to court his Shizun and Sqq is bonked over the head with O h thereâs two people trying to date me o.o

The sound changes resulting in Ishgardian are inspired by those in various Romance languages, most notably French, which Ishgardian names are based on in the game.

Pronunciation things
So I can't possibly explain everything, but I'll mention a couple things
Generally we have more like, easy to understand letters than English. "a" is only "a" not "ai". But "o" is both "o" and "ĂĽ".
There are some diphtongs:
ei, øy, au - most common
ai, oi and eu - less common
There are some ch type sounds:
kj, ky, ki, sj, skj, ski, sky
most of those are different I think
There's also gj which is basically English J I think maybe
If there's a double consonant that usually means the vowel is short. (this has exceptions). And the same in reverse.

We're not french so we pronounce letters at the end of our words even if they're vocals.

Frislandic Phonology and Orthography
Right, let's begin this series on what Frislandic looks like now. We'll start with rhe bit which will hopefully make the examples in the followonf sections at least pronouncable: the phonology and orthography. The next post will be historical and dialectal notes which will hopefully make what I'll describe below more transparent.
If I was asked to give a 'phoneme inventory' (ugh) of (standard) Frislandic, I'd basicallt have to provide you with the table below. The orthographyk follows these conventions for the most part, with a couple of exceptions that will be noted when they are relevant.

In terms of phonetic detail the consonants notated here as alveolar tend to be more denti-alveolar, with the exception of /s r/ which tend instead towards more of a retracted alveolar, though rarely a true retroflex. Additionally the affricate /tͥs/ is for some speakers a palatalised /tͥsʲ/.
But that's not the whole story, of course, because an inventory never is. Not all of these sounds are created equal and some have wildly different distributions. Indeed, for historical reasons it's generally better to speak of contrasts in phonotactic environments (not that I really have the space or time to go througy this in full but hey).
First of all, /f/ and /o/ are loan phones plain and simple. They are not found in native vocabulary and the latter isn't found even in early Irish or Norse loans due to back vowel raising. Words for modern life such as fon /fon/ 'phone' and fan /fÉn/ 'flag' are typical examples.
Secondly, of the consonants found in native forms, only /p t tÍĄs k tĘ° kĘ° ÉŹ s É m n/ are found root-initially in citation forms. Additionally, /pĘ° Ę°p/ don't occur root-finally except in a small number of loans such as sjip /ÉipĘ°/ 'ship', pijp /pĘ°ÉiĚŻpĘ°/ '(tobacco) pipe' and kopp /kĘ°uĘ°p/ 'cup'; otherwise in native roots they are only found root-medially in frozen compounds, e.g. tepeĂ° /ËtĘ°epĘ°eĂ°/ 'waterfall' boppesj /ËpuĘ°pÉÉ/ 'hoe, adze', dĂŚppo /ËtĂŚĘ°pu/ 'birch tree' and sorpo /ËsurpĘ°u/ 'ash tree'.
With regards to the vowels, the /É/ has a distinct status relative to the other vowels, in that it is only found in unstressed syllables, although in this position it does contrast with the other vowels. It does appear to behave largely as an epenthetic device to break up inpermissible clusters, in that there are a large number of words that alternate between syncopated and unsyncopated forms, e.g. nukkel /ËnyĘ°kÉl/ 'anchovies' vs. nukklen /ËnyĘ°kklÉn/ 'anchovy' or ober /ËupÉr/ 'job' vs. obreĂ° /ËuprÉĂ°/ 'at work'. However, it is also found in root-final open syllables where there is no such motivation, e.g. nalle /ËnÉÉŹÉ/ 'militia' or uone /ËuÉĚŻnÉ/ 'tree spirits, fairy folk'. Here we can find minimal pairs of /É/ with /e/, whuch are not normally distinguished orthographically: nalle /ËnÉÉŹe/ 'of the militia', uone /ËuÉĚŻne/ 'fairy-like, of the fairies'.
Phonotactics are generally (C)V(C)(C), of which valid CC clusters consist of a nasal, liquid or voiceless fricative followed by a plain stop or affricate e.g. bond /punt/ 'eel', belz /peltÍĄs/ 'monster, beast', gost /kust/ 'shade, shadow', bollk /puÉŹk/ 'tower'. Note in the latter two cases the second member of the cluster is written as if it were an aspirated stop, due to morphological alternations between the plain and pre-aspirated stops, e.g. gerott /kÉËruĘ°t/ 'shadows', bolokk /puËluĘ°k/ 'towers', by analogy with e.g. tĂŚrg /tĘ°ĂŚrk/ 'heart' â detrĂŚg /tÉËtĘ°rĂŚg/ 'hearts'.
As you might notice prosody consists of stress. This is predictable diachronically but not synchronically. In general the root is always stressed, but which syllable of the root is stressed depends on the root, as frozen compounds vary in this regard e.g. bittang /ËpiĘ°tÉĹ/ 'winter' vs. kaĂ°tang /kĘ°ÉĂ°ËtĘ°ÉĹ/ 'spring'. Additionally, in some nouns there is a shift of stress rightwards in the plural, often accompanied by vowel quality shifts e.g. gorot /ËkurutĘ°/ 'prayer' â geruot /kÉËruÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'prayers'. In a couple of houns stress is the only signifier of plurality e.g. sjirivs /ËÉiriuĚŻs/ 'letter, missive' â sjirivs /ÉiËriuĚŻs/ 'letters, missives' Otherwise however stress is lacking in functional load.
In terms of phonological alternations there isn't much to say, because there's little that is fully regular and it would probably be better to discuss the alternations which do exist when tackling the morphology itself. Unaspirated stops do tend to be voiced intervocalically but this isn't contrastive. Additionally native speakers tend to epenthesise more schwas than are typically represented orthographically, both ij native and borrowed words, e.g. bĂŚnll /pĂŚn[É]ÉŹ/ 'walking stick', kernkres /ËkĘ°er[É]ĹkĘ°rÉs/ 'orphan' or glas /k[É]ËlÉs/ 'glass'.
There is a morphologically conditioned but fairly pervasive process of lenition which results in the following alternations:

However, the actual outcome of these frequently is obscured by the quality of the following vowel. For example, here is the possessive paradigm for muot /muÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'paternal grandmother': m'uot /muÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'my...', k'uot /kĘ°uÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'thy...', bemuot /pÉËmuÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'our...', kumuot /kĘ°yËmuÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'your...', 'uot /uÉĚŻtĘ°/ 'their...', where there is lenition in the singular and third person plural but not in the first and second person plural, and the lenited form of muot is therefore uot and not !vuot as might be expected a priori. Even more irregularities can be seen in forms such as zitt /tÍĄsiĘ°t/ 'chin, jaw', which has a first person singular possessed form of either m'ijtt /mÉiĚŻĘ°t/ or even m'isjt /miÉt/ depending on the speaker.
There is also a minor process of pre-aspiration that occurs with the reflexive possessive prefix o- /u/ which produces the following alternations /p t tÍĄs k/ â /Ę°p Ę°t s Ę°k/, e.g. oppodet /uËĘ°putÉtĘ°/ 'own father-in-law', osĂŚr /uËsĂŚr/ 'own arms'.
Vowels and semivowels interact in fun ways. In particular the four diphthongs /ÉiĚŻ ÉuĚŻ iÉĚŻ uÉĚŻ/ <ij w ie uo> when combined with the glides /j/ <j> and /β/ <v> give /ÉiĚŻ øyĚŻ eiĚŻ uĚŻÉiĚŻ/ <ij uj ej uoj> and /iuĚŻ ÉuĚŻ iĚŻÉuĚŻ ouĚŻ/ <iv w iev ov> respectively. These diphthing simplifications have effects on nominal morphology e.g. sw /sÉuĚŻ/ 'woman/women', genitive suj /søyĚŻ/ being ambiguous for singular vs. plural , and also is the historical explanation for the plural of sjirivs being marked by stress only (on which more in a subsequent post).
Finally there is a process of umlaut, where a low vowel is fronted in certain morphological contexts. Thus /É/ shifts to /ĂŚ/ which itself shifts to /e/ or /iÉĚŻ/. This is found mostly with verbs in e.g. imperatives and indirect past e.g. kajn /kĘ°ÉiĚŻn/ 'die' â kĂŚjnĂŚ! /ËkĘ°ĂŚiĚŻnĂŚ/ 'die! (sg.)', kĂŚjniĂ° /ËkĘ°ĂŚiĚŻniĂ°/ 'is said to have died' or kĂŚb /kĘ°ĂŚp/ 'hear' â kebĂŚ /ËkĘ°epĂŚ/ 'listen!'.
