Fun fact, this guy's actually particularly older than a lot of the other cast because he was made in 2016 during the clown panic. Ahh, capitalism. His popularity even after the panic has kept him in the cafe and he has undergone many, many upgrades since then.

Also, I've noticed that a LOT of the designs are bipedal. Sorry about that guys 💀 To circumvent this I've just decided that bipedalism is a begrudging option for them and whenever possible (or afterhours) they go on all 8's. It's simply better on their knees, since they're all super heavy. Camel bartender and tick vampire are the ones who frequently makes use of their octopodal gaits since they are the ones expected to stand the most.

He is rather arrogant but he does have a very big soft side for his Schizomida subjects. Originally allocated to the (newly redesigned) Dazzle whipscorpion MM, when Scorpiones came to town, he had no hands, just big pincers. The Schizomida were then allocated to him in order to make up for his lack of hands, but were also made en masse since they were expected to be destroyed frequently. However, under his care, only 1 has ever been destroyed. He's a very protective father

I didn't like how I made the amblipygi MM. I liked the mime concept a Little Bit but I made it bland. I wasn't able to completely draw it out but his design and name are derived from dazzle camouflage which I think would look really trippy on a robot.

Little Birdie in a silly little hat

To start our analysis, we have to do what one's doing when listening to Little Birdie - imagine birds in hats. So here are some of them:

Prety fabulous, right? These birds sure do look good in their hats. What's stopping them from wearing them all the time?

The answer is: physics.

When we put a bird who flies in a fancy hat with the rim, it's deemed to lose it - it only takes one blow of the wind or wing motions to send it out into the sky never to be seen again. And when it comes to rimless (it's that even a real word?) hats like beanies, it would be hard to keep them from simply sliding off, due to birds being so aerodynamic.

Losing a hat would not only be sad, it would also be difficult to retrieve it. Even if it's possible, there's one pretty big problem: birds don't have hands. So they can't really do this.

I know, disappointing. But what does that mean to us?

Little Birdie is working with someone

There is someone - probably a human - working with Little Birdie to keep his hat in place. While this could take a form of putting it back on his head whenever he flies back teary eyed, holding it in his beak, I'm pretty sure we all figured a way better solution.

A ribbon (or maybe a thread or a cord of some sorts)

Simply tie it around your bird's neck and boom! Peace and love on planet earth. However, as mentioned above, birds don't have hands so they can't really tie it themselves. Even with a ribbon being quite stable, somone still would have to check up on it, periodically, to see if everything is still alright. Seems like much of a hassle, right? So why would anybody do that?

I'm pretty sure most of us have seen this post somewhere (wanted to link it but it turns out op deactivated so here's a screenshot)

While it may not be true for every bird - various posts point out that only ceratin species of birds feel butterflies in their stomachs when their mate can wear some colorful accesories - it's still an interesting fact that might help with our investigation.

But why would someone do this for Little Birdie?

Sure, we love birds, but why give this particular bird an unfair advantage? The answer is simple: the hat is a payment for service. At first i thought that Little Birdie works by gathering and selling information - after all we all heard someone say "a little birdie told me"- but that wouldn't make sense, as the hat is easily noticable so it would be quite a disadvantage when you have to sneak around and eavesdrop.

Then it hit me - the hat isn't only a reward, it's also a storage space. Little Birdie might just work in transport, right? Nothing malicious. However...

Little Birdie as a dealer

There isn't much space under the hat of a bird. Even if your thing is small, it also can't be heavy as to not cause too much discomfort, so you can't really get your tungsten cube delivered that way. That's leaving us with transporting light, small things. Someone would put them in a hat, secure it on Birdie, and then the person who the thing was delivered to would take it out and also adjust the hat again.

But why would they use a hat instead of a bag with bigger carrying capacities? Not only would it be more comfortable, it's also profitable because you could carry more stuff in there. That might be because a hat raises less suspicion. When you see a bird with a bag, or perhaps a pouch, you'd know that something is carried there. But a hat? Maybe a bird is just a little silly. Maybe its head feel cold when he flies so high in the sky (Why does he fly so high? To avoid someone detecting him?). You don't think about it too much, you just leave it be.

Another point is, Little Birdie can't really take the package out of his hat himself, which would be easier with a bag. When it comes to valuable transport - let's say, rare seeds from some rare fruit from another part of the world - he can't just reach in there and sneakily eat one without anyone noticing. He could take his hat off to do so, but he couldn't put it back on, meaning he would be just an ordinary hatless bird again.

But why would Birdie do that? Is it all a job? An unresolved part of shady past? Does he even know what he's doing? That questions might never be answered. I just hope that one day, Little Birdie might be carefree once again - with or without his silly, little hat.

Idk if information about Mark is secretive or not but I’m really curious to know more about him and Adam. Even though Adam is still a werewolf in this like last one, can we sort of get information on when he became one? Like was it during an investigation (if the bps is still a thing in this.)

Investigates the abandoned Cesar house as usual before being attacked by another werewolf (would. it be funny to mention that said werewolf was this aus version of six?) And then is brought back to the hq to get his wounds healed up. from there you can. probably guess everything went to shit- /VLH

by far, my favorite thing about ur doggification of the hermits is that its highkey helping me try to figure out what my pupper is. shes certainly a mutt, very Creature, and were currently thinking she's some heeler variety? like she's definitely got some heeler tendencies but its hard to tell bc shes a big goofer. and also she is DEFINITELY not a shorthair. a few things that make it tough to tell with her is she has a Really Big & Floofy tail, and all the breeds/mixes that i can find that look like her do not, and her mouth is on the bottom of her snoot like a borzoi. even though her snoot is not particularly long. but it is sloped more than my other dog's?? and more sloped than most other dogs' ive seen.... maybe she does have some borzoi in there??? weve also been thinking border collie bc shes very border collie-esque,,

Omg!! Sound like a delightful creeture with lovely snoot!! If she has a big puffy tail she might have some Spitz in her, maybe some kind of Lurcher if she had the sighthound muzzle! This is so interesting bc i while learning about breeds i tend to do the same. My aunt has a mutt i think she might have a bit of collie/heeler in her too. And i think it mostly shows by her intense need to bark and white collar-like markings on her neck kdjrjt ig well never know but it's fun to try figuring out!

And ohh i never heard of that breed! Looked it up and it doesn't even have a wiki page in my language to see if the translatd name would ring a bell. It does look like it suits Hypno for looks tho!!! I really like it! :0 But i do have to say i was looking for a dog with brindle/markings coat so i can play with a pattern that's like.. "hypnotizing" dljdkffk but i genuinely liked the looks of this one! It's going on the list!

Like how was their first meeting with the reader? What was their reaction when they heard the nickname? How did their relationship develop?

For a handful of the staff, the first meeting with the reader was probably (at least in this first story) chasing the newly escaped patient. XDc

They were working, minding their own business when they see a human poke their head around the door.

Now this is by Zelle's private sector there uh-- there really shouldn't be ANY humans or patients around here. And since Zelle's staff isn't always in the loop about what projects the chairman is working on-- UHHHHH they think you've sneaked all the way down from the normal wards and that's. . . bad.

You probably see a few gently put down their tools and slowly start to move towards you. Catiously, wanting to get close enough to grab you like an alarmed frog and cart you back to where they think you belong.

You uh-- you do the bad thing and RUN

Creepy room full of creepy creetures?? (About 5-7) And they are coming at you now?? No tHaNkS. Don't know what going on in there, don't wanna know!

Which of course they give chase because now they think you know you're in trouble. And making a break for it. X'D

Running down the hall with a bunch of these beans chasing you, is going to alert Merlot who is bewildered and has NO CLUE WHAT'S GOING ON.

And thankfully they can stammer out an explaination, I am sure Zelle has excitedly babbled about this whole thing to them. How they pulled your soul back into your body made sure you were doing fine, leaving you to rest. Which OBVIOUSLY he must have left you to rest unsupervised and you snuck out. XD

You get to sit with the Merlot until Zelle can get back. And this is probably when you meet Sun, who doesn't introduce themselves, instead curiously watches you.

When Zelle does return they intorduce you to the staff, all of the staff, and there's a lot of them. You don't mention you've already met. . . and they few that chased you don't either ahaha.

Relationship wise it depends, and there can be a lot of routes you can take? =3

If you cause too much trouble (Get the achivement: Escape Artist) you get one assigned to you.

If you visit Merlot a lot you meet Sunder, and you can get to know them.

You have an extended stay in the little frankenstein story because you've been patched up and are now being monitored for any issues. And also healing through what happened.

You are pretty much in the same space as all the doctors all the time. And can befriend any of them if you so choose! Some areas are off limits of course but other areas like the lunch room and possibly other activity rooms are going to be shared spaces. Think of it kind of like... a scientific sort of dorm.

The doctors live out their daily lives in here, study, work, rest, eat. At the moment you are living alongside them.

Yup! They do have different personalities, they tend to be on the quiet side for the species norm? But getting to know the staff you'll find some are sillier and jolly, some are sterner and quicker to get frusterated. The doctors are more like, a species I have been working on. Some could be related to one another in the building it's possible! The building is pretty large, so there are a lot of these beings around. ^^ ) Not just one or two, they make up a huge portion of the staff! A ballpark thought might be... 100-300 of them?

And for Sun and their nickname? They adore it. Even if it was something you might have said offhandedly or to be silly. They will gently prompt you to keep using it.

And if you call them 'Sunny' they will become very quiet and embarrassed dkdkxkkss. It's a cutesy name, not something they would ever picture someone calling them. So that's a very surprising and affectionate term. They like it a lot.

Sun is a little bit of a special case compared to the other doctors. They are Merlot's Assistant, and also work very closely with Zelle at times. They appear to be one of the highest ranking of the doctors just from showing who they work with. Sun also looks the most battleworn. They are pretty scarred up underneath their clothes.

They have been through a lot.

and original story constraints have you dealing with them quite a bit because you are under Zelle's watch, which means natually the upper staff all keep an eye on you too. ^-^ )

And while Sunder is a high ranking doctor they spend a lot of time with Merlot, giving the two of you the ability to bond since Sun has more free time on their hands to show you around then the tall shy guy.

Relationship wise Sun is protective. Sun is also battle worn, which makes them tense when you are out of the facility and moving about the city. They can't really help that fact, and they probably don't recognize this trait until you gently bring it up to them. ^^; )

The closer you are, the more you mean to them, and the more worried they will be about your safety. Which makes them tense and a prickly if strangers get too close. Key word is strangers, people they know they don't really mind-- Though if Zelle is teasing you too much and you're getting visibly upset or agitated. (If Sun is in a relationship with you) They will confiscate you from the chairman. Giving Zelle an annoyed huff and carrying you off.

Alone, Sun is sweet and tender. There's safety in secluded spaces, so they don't feel as though they have to be on edge. They tease you a little but it's more on the affectionate side.

For the anxious reader, relasionship!Sun will wrap their tail around your ankle or your wrist, or put a hand on your shoulder or the small of your back. Little, "I'm here for you" gestures if you're feeling overwhelmed.
