Idk why I’m suddenly craving this but Age Gap AU where Gale gets in a car accident? Maybe he’s had a bad day at school or some panic episodes triggered by his dad or a memory and something happens on the road. Now he’s feels horrible because John’s car is badly damaged but John’s losing his shit rushing to the hospital because Gale’s hurt, not life-threatening but significant enough to have to stay there for a couple days.😭

Gale doesn't even know how it happened exactly.

It was a rough day. He couldn't find a parking spot in the morning, he failed one of his quizzes, and his lab TA fucked up the results of his three hour lab. Gale was just so fucking exhausted.

What tipped him over the edge was one of his professors yelling at the class. It was one of his older professors, one that reminded him and awful lot about his father, and he had just shouted for the class to be quiet. Nothing more.

But Gale was instantly brought back to his home, where his father would shout and scream for Gale and his mother to shut up, to shut the fuck up, and then followed by his fist or belt across Gale's face.

He felt sick to his stomach, but he gutted out the rest of the class, hoping the feelings would go away.

They didn't, even when Gale went back to his car he was still trembling, could only remember the sting of his father's hand and his voice calling him names and shouting. He could barely keep the car straight on the drive home.

It was a stroke of luck that Gale didn't collide head on with the truck.

It wasn't his fault, the truck had swerved dangerously into his lane, but he was so out of it that he didn't have time to swerve out of the way, colliding with the driver's side bumper and jolting into the side of his car.

Gale was lurched forward, hitting his cheek against the steering wheel and he knew that he was going to have a nasty bruise there. His arm bent at an odd angle but didn't break, just hurt like a mother fucker when he tried to move it.

But even then all Gale could think about was how fucked up Johns car was. He didn't take it often, John usually took it to work, but today John was picked up from the house by a subordinate, and John told Gale he could take the car instead of the bus.

And Gale had crashed the car, had practically totalled it, and John was going to kill him, he just knew it. Even when the ambulance had carted him to the hospital to get his injuries looked at, all he could think about was how mad John was going to be at him.

He reluctantly gave the nurse Johns number for his contact, was half considering just giving his mother's, but couldn't stand his father possibly picking up and coming to the hospital just to berate him.

So here he was, nervously wringing his bandaged hands together and waiting for John to yell at him, to tell him off and force him to pay for the damages to his car.

When John comes rushing into the hospital room, practically shoving the nurse aside, Gale immediately starts apologizing, ducking his head to avoid John's furious gaze.

"I'm really fucking sorry, John. I swear, I'll pay to fix it, it was all my fault," Gale mutters and feels the weight of John sitting on his hospital bed, clenching his fingers even tighter on the thin sheet covering his legs.

He flinches when John lifts his hand gently, expecting a slap across the face for his actions, but John only tilts Gales chin up towards him, a look of concern and worry covering his face. His hands are trembling as he holds his chin, something concealed with a calm facade on his face.

Gale expects John to let the emotions bubble over, to let him have it, but John only brings him in for a bone crushing hug, careful enough to avoid Gales injuries and sighing into his hair. Gale trembles, bringing his hands up to hold onto John's arms, confused.

"Oh my fucking God, Gale. I'm so glad you're okay," John whispers and Gale's even more confused.

"But your car," Gale mutters and he can feel John shake his head against his neck.

"Fuck my car, that piece of shit was old as fuck anyway. God fucking dammit Gale when I got that call I figured the worst. I'm so glad you're okay," John says and his hands tremble even more.

John pulls away and picks up Gale's bandaged hands and presses his lips together, bringing them up against his cheek and looking in Gale's eyes. Gale still can't bring himself to smile.

"Are you okay? Come on, doll, you look so upset, tell me what's up," John says.

Gale shakes his head when he can feel the tears well up in his eyes, looking down into his lap to avoid John's gaze. He can see John shake his head and lift his chin with his other hand, forcing him to look into his eyes again.

"Just my dad... my dad would have killed me for wrecking his car," Gale mutters and he feels the tears break onto his cheek.

John shushes him and brings him in for another embrace, pressing his face into John's neck. He smells like the spicy cologne he always wears, and Gale breathes it in to try and comfort himself.

"No, no, Gale I could never be mad about that. I was so worried you had gotten hurt, I couldn't care less about my car. You'll always be more important than that old thing," John says and Gale can't stop the tears from flowing down his face.

John lets him cry into his shoulder, bringing one of his hands up to comb gently through Gale's hair as he sobs.

"I ain't never letting you out of my sight again, you're gonna have to keep me in your pocket so I can always protect you," John says with a faint chuckle, and Gale can't help but laugh, feeling safe in John's arms.

You and Seokmin have been fighting over the last hour and at this point you don’t even remember what the fight was originally about. You look at Seokmin to see his angry face that was so much in contrast with his usual bright personality.

“Seokmin, can we stop? I don’t even remember what this was about?” you groan getting tired as he shuts his mouth abruptly staring at you. There was something in your face that showed him it was not you just getting tired.

Something was bothering you.

“What is it?” he asked, his voice suddenly becoming gentle and you sighed muttering a 'nothing'. The truth is you hated fights, you don't want them to happen with somebody you love.

“It is something,” he continues after a short pause and you nod your head to a ‘no’. You just felt relieved that he has stopped fighting and it is better.

“So what, this was your excuse for stopping me?” Seokmin mutters, feeling angry again and you panic. That will be the last thing you want.

“No, Seok, okay listen,” you speak hurriedly as he sighs and sits down on the couch. “I hate fights, I always think they are the cause of problems,” you say after a minute as he looks up at you.

“I know my parents are a good couple but when they used to fight, I always thought they would get divorced or something bad would happen, I feel like fights ruin relationships,” you finish resting your head on the cushion.

“That is a very wrong idea,” Seokmin speaks up after sinking in your words. “Occasionally, people fight, even if they love each other, it can never destroy a relationship. Provided, it is occasional, or rare. People will disagree, your parents will too and we will too. That doesn’t mean they would stop loving each other, or I would stop loving you. Fights, rare ones, are symbols of a healthy relationship,” he says, looking at you.

You nod slowly, taking in his words, you have never considered this perspective, always being too afraid of everything in a fight and neither have you confessed about this to anybody. “You are right,” you reply after a minute.

He shrugged replying, “Of course I am, you are dating this very insightful person who has the best intellectuals,” he smirks and you deadpan, “Don’t push your luck.”

“Okay,” he grinned as you felt relieved suddenly everything was off your chest and you felt better.

“I know you feel better right now but a kiss on my lips would make it best,” Seokmin said, puckering his lips as you rolled your eyes and pecked him lightly. He smiles like an idiot as you laugh. He is your idiot.

Lo’ak uncovered his arm with a shaky hand, hissing at the blood that stained his palm. “I tried to do tricks with my Ikran and you know where that got me.” He said defeatedly, his head hanging low. “Let’s deal with those injuries, okay?” You grabbed onto his arm that wasn’t hurt and brought him inside the tent. He sat down on the floor, groaning in pain when he moved a certain way that strained his body. Scouring the tent, you picked up some healing ointments, healing paste, a cloth and medical gauzes that were gifted to you from the scientists. You sat next to Lo’ak, facing his side. “Can you lean to the left for me?” You ask, popping open the ointment. Lo’ak leans to the side, a few grunts and groans leaving his lips. “This’ll sting.” You warn, pouring a good amount of ointment on the cloth. “I know, you tell me that all the—SHIT!” He curses, sucking in a deep breath through clenched teeth. “Lo’ak!” You smacked his upper thigh with your free hand, using the other one to lightly tap on his wounds with the cloth. Lo’ak pressed his lips together and screwed his eyes shut. “I wonder what goes through your head when you do this.” You say, wrapping the gauze around his waist. “Nothing.” Lo’ak replies, laughing at his own joke. “What a shocker.” You plainly said, moving to the next cut.

and he doesn’t really mind them, until his mom started pointing them out

theres frown on her lips as she talks about how reckless lo’ak is 

she even shows them to jake, who just either stares with disapproval in his eyes or says something along the lines of “well, what can you expect? the boy doesn’t even use his brain.” or “how can you expect him to care for his own well being when he can’t even think right.”

Lo’ak dug his nail into his scar, his eyes glaring at the white ragged skin that stretched to his mid forearm to his elbow. “My scars.” He grumbled. “I hate them.” He started picking at it. “Stop, you are going to make it worse.” You grabbed his hand, halting his movements. “You liked your scars, what happened?” You watched with worried eyes as Lo’ak sighed. “My mom always points them out and the look that she gives me makes me feel like shit.” His ears tucked behind his head. “And sometimes, she brings my dad over to look at them. As if my moms looks weren’t enough, my dad doesn’t hold back to insult me.” His bottom lip begins to tremble and your heart cracks. “I just do not know why they look at me like—like they’re ashamed of me!” He sniffs, roughly wiping the tears that were threatening to escape his eyes with his arm. “I hate crying.” He muttered grimly, tucking himself into a ball. “It is good to cry,” You begin softly, hand coming to caress Lo’ak’s back. “And you are not a disappointment.” You say with such certainty that Lo’ak almost believes it himself. “How are you so sure?” He looks at you, awaiting your answer. You started listing off all the wonderful qualities Lo’ak has, like how he’s so strong and doesn’t take no for an answer, how he doesn’t back down and never gives up, how he’s so annoyingly persistent with things and is curious about everything. As you said more and more things about Lo’ak, the more you saw him visibly perk up. It was like you rebuilding the broken pieces, slowly but surely with care, you made Lo’ak whole again. Lo’ak sniffed, rubbing his eye with his fist. “Thank you.” He mumbled, snuggling closer to you.

Otherwise, he'll wake you up in about an hour out of concern for your neck. He's nice about, just nudging you awake.

Alceste (relationship) - Pretty much the same as crushing, but he'll move you to lay on top of him pretty fast. He finds it to be more comfortable for the both of you and you're in luck! He's really comfortable to cuddle! Don't be surprised if you wake up laying on his chest and see that he's also taking a lil nap! You might have to wake him up and not the other way around.

Larisilla (crushing) - If you opened up Google and went "Google, show me how to make Larisilla shut up immediately?", this is your answer. She has no idea how to respond. Dare I say, you've rendered her dumbstruck? Her next actions will all depend on if you're alone or not.

If you are alone (so just the two of you), she'll let you stay where you are. She'll probably be a little stiff since she Won't Move, terrified of waking you, but she won't complain and if she does, she blames it on training. Even if you haven't seen her train in like 3 days...

If you aren't alone, I'm sorry to say, she's waking you up. Now, normally, she would shove you off of her, so it does mean Something when she just shakes you awake and tells you to go sleep somewhere else. Also, ignore the blush on her face. She's not blushing! It's just hot in here!

Larisilla (relationship) - In a relationship, Larisilla is 100x times nicer. She'll let you sleep on her shoulder for as long as you want. If you guys have space (i.e on a couch) and she's in the right mood, she'll even stretch out and let you lay on her. Might even sneak in a lil forehead kiss while you're asleep. Will be very aggressive to people who are loud and might wake you up (it's just Enyo). She wants her favorite royal to get some nice naps in!

Dionys (crushing) - Dionys would silently freak out. Not because he doesn't like you, but because he likes you A Lot. He shifts around and fidgets quite a bit, so you'll probably end up waking up within the hour and he'll feel bad. If you don't wake up from him moving around almost constantly, he'll let you rest your head on his shoulder for a bit before waking you up nicely and telling you to find somewhere better to sleep. The whole time, though, he's stiff as a statue.

Dionys (relationship) - I'm going to assume by now you'd have gotten used to his fidgeting, so you won't wake up if he moves. He, too, is used to falling asleep at random times. Might move so you can lay on his chest or in a different cuddling position. Won't stop his work and doesn't really mind at this point. Like in the crushing stage, he will wake you up in about an hour so your neck won't get sore.

Somnia (crushing) - Somnia is so thrilled and overjoyed. She loves cuddling! Will shift around to help you get comfortable. She keeps a healer's schedule, so there's a pretty high chance she'll also take a lil nap. If she doesn't, she'll wake you up in a bit to give you something for the developing crick in your next or she'll just move you to the best position for sleeping without getting a crook in your neck.

Somnia (relationship) - You're in luck because Somnia is the best cuddler of the group. She's soft and warm, so laying on her is the best. Will definitely fall asleep on you too and just make a cuddle pile. Otherwise, very similar to her crushing stage, just with more cuddles and kisses!

Enyo (crushing) - Remember how I said Enyo would draw on your face if you fell asleep? Yeah, they're doing that still. Enyo really doesn't mind. Still super happy and overjoyed at the fact that you're willing to sleep on their shoulders. Watch out for hidden blades though. They won't wake you up on their own and will just hope you have somewhere to go soon. If you do rest your head on them for too long, they Will nudge you off of them.

It's more evident with Mila because we have a lot more of her songs, but they both release songs about different situations that happened even in different years. If they were to release them in chronological order, the lies would be all too obvious even to the general public. Instead, in this way, it's easier to hide the truth and mix it with the narratives and their PRs. It's simply up to us to put the pieces together.

2) In the AMAs interview (Oct 9, 2018) with Chelsea Briggs for Billboard, Laur said she'd written 40 songs. Of those 40 songs, and taking away the ones she'd already released, 5 were chosen for Prelude. In December 2021 in the interview with Zach Sang, she said she still had about 50 songs done. In the interview with People (May 26, 2023) (https://people.com/lauren-jauregui-on-working-with-ex-ty-dolla-amid-new-relationship-exclusive-7504696) she said: “I haven't really written a lot since 2020” and explained that In Between “It’s in between the time of Prelude and the actual official debut album”. And in the one with Galore (Jun 20, 2023) (https://galoremag.com/lauren-jauregui-releases-her-newest-ep-in-between-and-talks-about-new-music-love-whats-next/) she said: “These songs have actually been sitting with me since 2018/2019”.

Now what do I want to tell you with this? That Prelude and In Between are the same thing. They're part of the same era. Imagine them together as one album and not as two separate projects, also because that was her initial intent. Even the album we'll get will most likely be part of Prelude and In Between as a whole.

- Viviano is pretty much the same, but he's a bit embarrassed about it. He's never been too good at communicating his wants so he just likes to keep his arms around you, maybe give you a lil squeeze, and hope you don't say anything

- tbh I think all 3 of you have big staring problems

- While you and McQueen have trouble making direct eye contact, Viviano will pierce into your soul and mean nothing of it

- He'd be so hard to read because you think you accidentally made him mad, his face gives you no hints, but he just think you look good today and he can't help but stare

- McQueen too because he's just so emotional- he might need something to help communicate too because it's hard to decipher happy tears from ones of distress
