ok so i was talking about season 4 ian a little while ago, and now that i rewatched season 4 for the 4th time i just need to say yet another thing about ian that sesson that we never talk about.

Is racism a factor in why Julianne/Yulian cannot be Linden's fiancee?

She's from an influential house, and in the 19th century (which uhhhhh judging from how Brittia has steam trains, seems to be the general ballpark of what era this was “historically” inspired from) the aristocrats intermarried with wealthy non-aristocrats as the latter's influence grew via finances, so I can't see why the same principle cannot apply here. It would've made for a powerful alliance.

(an alternative to engaging her to Linden would be to wed her to his half-brother instead— which, yeah, Mikhail and the Childe children are cousins but you should seen how fucked up royal family trees can get, that being said, let's just assume incest isn't a thing in this setting, not even for royals, so I understand how that didn't happen)

The Emperor did wrong his wife/betrothed who did a lot to support him by marrying another woman (I'll talk about how royal titles don't make sense in this manhwa but I'll get to it when my reread gets to those flashbacks) and that woman was Marquess Childe's sister, iirc, so like. C'mon who wouldn't be mad about that. Even setting aside familial bonds you don't just go and offend your allies/supporters like that. Binding the two houses again, this time with the intent that things don't go wrong, could've been a neat play of politics to smooth out any ruffled feathers.

i don't know how i feel about so many different vibes packed into ten songs but the product is a solid album so i'll take it

lyrically some of my favourite work of hers

the bass throughout the whole album is really strong and beautiful

i forgot to do an introduction when i first listened so. no intro on this reaction. my bad

overall i didnt fall totally in love with the album, but there were some songs that really hit the mark for me.

Bro, I'm just sad. Idk, low self-esteem/confidence is just such a relatable thing that it's difficult not to empathize.

Not to mention, while everybody excepts things from him (except from Sinbad who kinda gave up on him), Aladdin's probably the only one who simply believes that he can do it, and promises to help. While everybody else demands something, Aladdin actually gives. And now he's gone, and Alibaba has to figure that stuff out on his own.

This is both such a Sinbad thing to consider, and such a Sinbad conclusion to come to. Like, sorry the guy gets overwhelmed by everything being awful at all times for the past half a year+

She does seem a ittle not happy, indeed

I've told you what I believe is the reason she considers Alibaba her savior, more than Aladdin or even Goltas. Which also turned out to be the case, given that one night flight extra. It's not about one grand gesture. It's all the little things he'd done combined - that one month or so in Qishan that he spent making sure all of Jamil's slaves were alright and had the means of living a free life.
