This is a rather specific kind of LFRP post. The goal is to find 2 or 3-ish (or more, who knows!) people to RP and plot with (alongside with my RP partner).  I (we) are open to plot or event ideas, character hooks, pre-established relationships/rivals, you name it. What we’re looking for:

Thavnair-centric - It doesn’t matter if your character is not Thavnairian or spend times outside the region; tbh our own “adventures” take us outside this nation regularly, but we always come back to Thavnair or, more specifically, we work FOR (the betterment of) Thavnair.

Morally gray - Don’t mistake this for evil; However, we’re not completely good either. Sometimes you have to bend the law, or walk carefully under it, in order to survive (or become the lesser of two evils). We try to help others, or ourselves, but life has a way to hand out lemons by the crates and making lemonade ain’t cheap.

Flight before fight - We tend to play more like civilians and a lot of our stories revolve around white collar crime. Not that our characters can’t handle being in a fight, but if it comes to that (and if the opportunity is there) I know of at least one of us that will try to run for it before engaging in combat >_>;;;; *cough* Hunting beasts and monsters, however, is something else entirely.

Lore compliance, realism and low power - This is our brand. We don’t want people who can solve everything single-handedly, who have enough IC wealth to buy off a whole residential district and pull all the favors, or can heal everything with the snap of their fingers. Where’s the fun in that? We like to eat dirt, chew it and spit it out (not for all three meals mind you, it lacks proteins).

Love for writing - And we mean that in the broadest possible way. It includes plotting, writing events and stories for our characters. They can be very centric to one or many characters - we’re all about character development - or to a group (we have Jijivisha). If you just want to sit and enjoy the chocobo ride, look elsewhere, ‘cause we ain’t even got any chocobos.

The small prints

■ ��Our RP style is turn-based para/multi-para and, speaking for myself, I’m not especially a fast typer AND English is not my native tongue (so I sometimes get stuck on a word or another and it gives 5 more minutes of waiting on my post xD)

■ We RP mature themes; and by that we don’t mean hosting orgies every weekend. As we roleplay characters of gray morality and part of the criminal world, harsh language and swearing (especially Fakhri), gambling (ehh Fakhri’s bread and butter lol), heavy use of alcohol (coughtFakhricough), smoking legal and not so legal substances (Guess who?), drugs (Starts with an F) and violence are all part of that package. We obviously respect people’s boundaries if a topic is sensitive for them. Also if you haven’t noticed, Fakhri is trash and Seda is the more respectable of the two.

■ No Discord RP. Multiple factors at play with this decision and, while there are very rare exceptions, just assume it’s not happening.

This may all seem like a lot but me and my partner are actually quite laid back. We’re both adults with a career and obligations and we know what it is to get home tired, or not having the energy nor the time for the game on any given day, or week. This is why we highly value good communication and we respect each other’s time. Now, why only seek 2 or 3-ish people to RP with? We firmly believe in quality before quantity and, hopefully, having a tight-knit group is all we’ll need to weave stories and have fun. Think of it as a tabletop group of friends. As a final note, me and my partner both enjoy the PVE aspect of the game so if that’s something you enjoy as well, bonus kudos to you and let’s climb HoH already!

Also, liking rats is mandatory.

Entry 3: The importance of personal marketing, branding and your unique value proposition. What is your brand and what areas do you need to improve?

Your own personal unique value proposition consists of the values and qualities you bring to a workplace and what social skills and strengths you can provide (Laja, 2023). These are what you use to sell yourself to companies when going for jobs as it is your main proposal. The company then determines if they would bother to set you up for a job interview or reach out at all in regard to the job. It all starts with how you can sell yourself through explaining your abilities and what companies can benefit from having you onboard.

Personal branding is to use marketing strategies to help sell your ability to potential employers (Khedher, 2014). Creating a personal brand helps develop your career by expressing your talents that can assist in future career paths (Sprout Social, n.d.). When it comes to creating a brand for myself, I have always been a confident, loud and talkative person. This has helped me make connections, showcase my ability and branch out in the last 7 years. I have been able to develop personable skills that helps me create relationships, make early connections and grow my professional career. I have been awarded multiple recognitions for excellence, with my previous award from my diploma course and my recent ASPIRE award at university. Below are the photos of me receiving the excellence award through a jersey presentation and the certificate of my ASPIRE award.

These prove that I have the ability to stand out to my teachers, lecturers and coordinators, so the only thing stopping me from showcasing it to my future employers is how my personal brand is displayed. I try my best by displaying these skills and strengths on my LinkedIn profile and in my resume and cover letters.

I pride myself in the ability to bring the best out of people to ensure all fellow students are participating and contributing with their best parts of them and their abilities. This brings out the best collaborative work that we could ever produce, and it helps us work as a team and build a stronger bond. In each and every task that I am allocated to a group, I am able to naturally become a leader, this is sourced by my previous leadership skills from my diploma course and has assisted with the way I can help take the role of leader that no one feels comfortable doing.

Although I can assist in leading and allocating within a group, I lack some trust when it comes to the work others can provide. I sometimes can find it easy when allocating and ensuring that each student will participate and do their part. More specifically, when it comes to some assessments and working with new students, it is hard for me to spread the work between others, as I struggle to build that trust so quickly.

My name is Jack McDornan, I am 21 years old and currently living in Wantrina south. I have a family of 5 which includes two siblings, my sisters Meg and Abby with me being the middle child, currently living with my mum.  

Growing up I always had a love for sport with some of my earliest memories are attending the AFL or watching it on TV. Being a passionate Brisbane Lions fan has taught me resilience, but it has always been able to give me joy through the darkest moments. I started my schooling journey at Laburnum Primary School in Blackburn and was quick to realise school wasn't for me and often found myself relating my schooling towards the footy, which was often turned down by my teachers. 

As I got older I continued to lean towards sports rather than my schooling finding love in other sports such as cricket, basketball and now the UFC, this led me to struggle with schooling in my higher education at Vermont Secondary college where I was quick to fall behind which led to me moving to a more hands on education at SEDA college which I found the type of learning for me. Combining my love for sports and school was exactly what I needed. With help from my year 12 teacher Josh Newman i finally found love for schooling.  

After finishing year 12 I was unable to enroll into the course i wanted to due to not doing VCE which was the bachelor of sports media, so I decided to take on a diploma of sport and business at the Collingwood football club which was the inaugural year of the course. 

Throughout this diploma I was lucky enough to Volunteering at the Collingwood, which led me to have a lot of industry access. After receiving my diploma i was able to enroll in Holmesglens bachelor of sport media, which at the start I found quite difficult due to my lack of doing essays and meeting deadlines due to my more hands-on study at SEDA. But with hard work I was able to get the hang of it. Something I'm looking forward to is the internship due to the fact I'm more of a hands-on learner, with the aspirations to do something in the space of sports media organisation content creation or social media.

Time to do this again. Year started out Meh, tried to get help with my mental and career problems, accused of being Satanic (which IDGAF, since I'm sure the Church probably thinks I worship the Pretty Angel instead of God). Small Highlight was going to California with Rosalina for Touhoufest . Back to being meh while the job hunt started. Peaked a little bit in June and July with Seeing Seda and Avi for the first time. Even though I did the first event for the local furgroup I started in Aug, things went down the toilet with the multiple strikeouts in the job hunt and the old Landlord selling the house with asshole realtor. The year kept sliding down with hopelessness and inaction. Not even the baby dedication if my friends' son and weekend away could stop the slide. The final shit icing on the cake was the new landlord yeeting us out on a 45 day notice. Another banger of a shit year from the 2020's. Not looking forward to 2024. E Portfolio 3= Sports Fan Activation Innovation at a Sports Event

Over time within AFL and many professional sports we have seen a shift in the way sports fans have been utilised at sporting events. Over 25 years ago we sore die hard sporting fans just turn up to games and watch their favourite team or athlete compete however in 2023 we have used our sports fans to our advantage of family sports and connection through family.

In 2023 we see aussie rules footy and other fun inflatable activations be provided to the kids as part of our grassroots program to deliver fun and participation for the next lot of athletes so they can remember how fun their sport is and this allows the parents to feel involved as it provides them a family fun event. This allows families to want to come back and enjoy there day at the footy more than once a year.

Seda Activate (2023) is a partner of the AFL and many other sports they provide activations for kids aged 5-12 years old and allows them to feel like part of the event learning new skills, meeting new people, while having fun. Seda activate is just one program that provides these activations that allow sports fans the opportunity to want to be like there star athletes.

Schonberner and Woratschek (2023) have stated that the engagement with sporting fans as customers has become part of the marking tools to allow participation in sport to rise. While allowing activations at sporting events this can provide a revenue boost while increasing participation into the grass roots clubs.

Kiani et al (2019) has explained that sporting events attract and gain tourist, from these tourist they can participate in the event activations these provide the opportunity for the fans of all to find the love in either a new sport or understand that passion of there own sport they already love. This leads to local participation to rise and for future stars to be born.

Clearinghouse for sport (2015) has stated that when going to sporting events with friends and family it can lead to a child more likely to participate in sport however sporting events outlining and connecting with the age demographic of these kids will allow the kids and families to feel safer and have more fun allowing future growth in sport in Australia and worldwide.

So in summary activations at sporting events is important not only for the fun of the day but for our future athletes sporting careers.

However, during last year's Halloween week, 2nd season of La Brea was brutally beaten by an much better written teen drama All American from The CW and The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXXIII with 2 hit segments the Death Note anime parody Death Tome and WestWorld parody SimpsonsWorld with Jon Roberts as Linda Belcher from Bob's Burgers makes a cameo towards the end of the segment and the episode. This could send LA Brea fans to panic while its haters is satisfied, not even the show is safe from YouTube podcast video and the entertaintment reviews for "problematic, Jurassic Park and Days in Our Lives ripoff, an actual toxic "woke", sending a wrong messages to teenagers and sending Latino people and people dealing with anxiety issues into stereotypes." Thankfully, the show was delayed until next year, fell victim to current WGA writer's strike despite they're still filming "the final season" in Australia. If the the final season comes within the first weeks of January, don't watch or watch in case of curiosity or cringe. This is why NBC's infamously Jurassic World/Lost Mashup ripoff telenovela LA Brea is an very bad show. Next time, I'm tackle the hunks of Jurassic Park movies and it's called Jurassic Heartthrobs.

Final Reflections On A Miracle - On her deathbed, Agustín's mother thinks back on her life since arriving in the Encanto, and wonders exactly who the miracle is for.

A Prophet In His Own Land - The Big Bruno Fic, in which he keeps trying and mostly failing to find his place within both his family and his community.

Talk of the Town - WIP. Pepa's nerves are shot while she's pregnant with Antonio. This gives the rest of the kids a reason to make themselves scarce from Casita, spend time with their other families, and dig up dirt on their parents, Abuela, and that guy they can't talk about. Shenanigans ensue.

Damage Control - When the miracle's twentieth anniversary ends in violence, Félix does his best to smooth things over and make sense of it all. A visit with an old friend leaves him with the usual "more questions than answers". A Félix POV one-shot.

Apocrypha - post-canon stories also set in the In-Laws 'verse; so far the theme for these is ✨GAY✨

I am so absurdly lucky to have been your friend for, what, the past decade? Through various fandoms, multiplayer games, the magic of Movie Night, improvised musicals that almost make sense, escaping from rooms, and of course some pretty fantastic real-life adventures in Illinois, Indiana, Colorado, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Washington over the years (I can't believe we've hung out in six different states so far??), it's been just an endless sequence of wonderful, wonderful memories.

I'm blown away that we both wound up in professorships and I am constantly awed and inspired by you as an educator and as a scientist. Your determination to do what's right for your students again and again and again is so great to see, and your pedagogy and presentations are *chef's kiss*. If I ever decided on a wild career swing, I know who I'd want to be teaching my courses.

You're such an exceptional storyteller, and that goes for your gorgeous fic and your spectacular art as well as just our daily chats about whatever's been going on in your life. Hearing about the ins and outs of your workday have no right being so entertaining, how dare!!

And now we get to have adventures in other worlds as well! I adore Seda and Ruth and what they bring to our D&D games! Infinitely excited that you've gotten to know some of my closest friends from grad school through that as well - it's always a gamble mixing friend groups, but every time you all interact it just warms my heart. BIO:

Seda grew up in a small home in New Orleans, her parents doing their best to make ends meet for their family of six. Her mom, a hairdresser, taking clients out of their home, and her dad bouncing between jobs all across the city. 

The youngest of four siblings, Seda grew up in hand-me-downs and with a less watchful eye than her older siblings

When her grandmother gifted her a camera on her twelfth birthday, she’d practically gained a new appendage. She carried it with her everywhere, taking pictures all over the city and plastered her walls with the developed photos. 

High school came and went, her only real care were the photography classes she took, and getting to learn to develop her own photos, but college wasn’t in the cards for her. 

After she graduated high school, she took jobs at a one hour photo lab and at a photo studio trying to learn more to make it her career. 

She started offering freelance work on her days or nights off, working weddings, or different events that paid decently. 

It was at one wedding she was working that she met Bennett. He was handsome, and she couldn’t quite keep her eyes off of him, but when he approached her, she knew that was it. He was charming, sweet, and made her laugh. The two talked on and off the rest of the night, catching each other in passing, and during her break and when she was finally packing up

The two began dating shortly after, though, upon learning more about him, Seda felt less than. He was rich, already working a high level position in his father’s company. He never seemed to mind when they stayed at her tiny studio apartment, or drove around in her crappy 1993 Bronco, waving off her apologies or self-deprecating jokes. 

He was quick with gifts, a lack of concern for money that she couldn’t imagine, which she took hesitantly at first, but learned to accept easier as time went on. By the time he asked her to move in with him, it was practically just a formality, and one that she’d accepted without second thought. 

Their engagement came a month later, and their wedding a year after that, an event that Seda excitedly planned with her mother, and thinking next to nothing about the pre-nup that she agreed to sign. 

The newlywed couple moved to Austin to expand and open a firm in the city, and bought a home, one that Seda immediately took to setting up and planting her roots in with ease. 

As they settled in, children remained on the mind, however they struggled to conceive, and down almost all avenues ran into different issues. The couple decided to stop trying to ease their mind of the stress, wanting to move back into a contented peace. 

However, they grew distant. Bennett began working longer hours, and Seda threw herself back into photography

I have been playing all types of sport for the past 10 years, which has fuelled my want to pursue a job within the sports industry. Although, when it came to my schooling, I wasn’t cut out for the normal read textbooks and sit in classrooms all day. Schwichow et al. (2016) states that hands-on learning promotes outstanding learning abilities, student commitment and motivation to participate and get involved, which is what I was lacking at my previous high school. This led to me looking for new schools, more specifically sporting ones. This is where I found SEDA College, which became one of the best decisions of my life. My last 2 years of high school consisted of playing sport, making connections, a wide range of experiences and continuing to get one step closer to my career path.

I spent my final school years volunteering and creating relationships through working closely with Melbourne United and Basketball Victoria. This is where I led clinic training days for kids, set up NBL game day activations, work in the membership and ticket sales department and worked with the elderly to keep them active. This led to me winning an Outstanding Student award specifically appointed my Basketball Victoria, which is shown below (SEDA College, 2019).

After school, I had a gap year which meant I wasted a lot of time, didn’t get a proper job, didn’t do any study and didn’t really get anywhere in my career path.  This led to me choosing to do a diploma course the year after. Once I started my diploma, I had become a class leader, made new connections, excelled in my learnings which enabled me to finish my course ahead of time and I had received an award for excellence.

This led to my decision to apply for university to continue my studies. Holmesglen Institute displayed as a similar experience to SEDA, as there were small amounts of students per class. This has always been helpful when it comes to my learnings, as there is a one on one element that is consistent throughout all years in the degree. This process has assisted in creating strong bonds with all lecturers, being open to all opportunities suggested and creating a good name for myself.

I have already secured an internship at Basketball Victoria, where I am working within the women and girl’s participation department. I have already loved every minute and am looking to continue it again in my final year at university. As I have credits from previous studies, I only have 1 subject this semester. This provides me with a lot of spare time. I hope to use this time by securing another 1-2 internships or a sport industry job to expand my future career possibilities. I hope that this subject can provide me with more professional experience to be able to gain those new internships and possibly reach for a job in my decided career.

Reasons why sports should be encouraged

There are tons of reasons why we should encourage everyone to be physically active and engage in sports. Aside from the fact this kind of habit is really healthy for our bodies, it also helps we establish good mood as well. Sports education should be encouraged in such a young age. We should encourage our children to participate in sports education the same way we encouraged them to excel academically because they will also acquire applied learning that is not given by academic subjects all the time. Sports college nowadays like SEDA is a great pathway to develop not only your child's academic proficiency but even used all the applied learning for their future career.

In today's generation, a lot of people, particularly children doesn't have an active lifestyle like playing outside with the neighbours, that's why at a young age, they are already having illnesses like diabetes and become obese since they are largely inactive and unhealthy due to the sedentary lifestyles. Encouraging to participate in sports education will help them have a healthy lifestyle. Regular participation in sports education especially from sports college helps to control or reduce the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease, hypertension and osteoporosis and sports also helps improve metabolism. As for our children, being active in sports education will lead them to be a physically active and emotionally balanced adults in the long run.

In life, there's always a competition, especially at work. As an adult, you always have to take extra effort in what you do in order to excel, however, there's always a winning moment and of course, the losing moment. This is also the same in sports. Sports education from sports college like SEDA teach everyone not only applied to learn but also teach us to learn how to accept defeat graciously. Sports education, in nature, always have a winner and also a loser, and the experience of being one or the other is a valuable one. In sports,  it’s important to realize that losing is nothing to be ashamed of and this teaches us to be more resilient not only in sports and our children will also apply this attitude once they are already part of the professional work.

We also have to consider the fact that sports education is an important part of the holistic approach in education and also a strong tool that can contribute significantly to the development and learning progress of our children. Sports college like SEDA aims to bring out the best in every student through our applied learning approach and also by focussing on their passion. Also, sports education in SEDA provides an individual approach for each student through our applied learning and also learning directly from the industry experts.
