Grumbling, the more you walked, the less you noticed the towering figure stalking you closely. Watching your every move

A roar was heard, turning you went to grab your sword to defend yourself as the very beast you hunted for came charging. Claws outstretched as you paled. You were too late. You didn't notice the monster close to wrapped up in your thoughts - tearing up, you didn't expect your last moments would be like this

But it wasn't at all surpise. After all you are a Monster Hunter.

Synopsis: Canon-Adjacent dr where basically I’m Harry. Obviously he doesn’t exist in this dr because I’m obsessed with being the main character (/hj). Things have been scripted to not be so traumatizing and awful all the time, but will loosely follow a sort of plot to let me be the chosen one in a prophecy and basically the center of attention. There’s stakes and I don’t expect to shift here for long intervals because it seems stressful, but I’m shifting to third year with a pre-written backstory for the first two years. Fighting villains and hearing the hero drama seems so interesting. Synopsis: Basically not canon at all lmao. I don’t want to kill anyone, that’s insane. Basically, the districts still exist (though people aren’t starving or anything) and “The Games” are basically just a big game show held in the Capitol and the winner gets money, fame, etc. This dr is loosely based off of the prequel, the ballad of songbirds and snakes, so there’s *technically* Coriolanus Snow as my love interest/mentor, but his character is so different that it’s basically not even him- I just find Tom Blythe attractive is all. Also Sejanus Plinth is my bbygirl he deserved so much better.

There’s no quests and we’re genuinely just trained over the summer and allowed to either stay or go to school for the rest of the year. I also scripted different fire nation “countries,” like how the earth kingdom has sort of different governments set-up throughout or how the water tribes have the two separate tribes on either pole. I’m from an island tribe and because I like attention, I’m a princess in that kingdom. This dr is mostly canon??? It was a cartoon so not too much traumatizing stuff happened anyways, but there are certainly some…questionable moments.

The choreo seems fun, it's a silly dance which i find them fun sometimes

I like the coaches costumes, i'll be real, i didn't care much for them when i saw the map for Don't Go Yet, but i can tell they'll grow on me

Lore wise, I thought the coaches were really in character for Halloween, but the way P2 did her move threw that thought out the window (not fully but still), so i really don't know what's going on with them lol

Overall, this map seems fine, i just wish this preview was a bit longer so i can have a full opinion on it (which is gonna be a problem for most of these opnions so yeah-)

I will be honestly with you all, i did get spolied on this map on Instagram (i didn't see all of it, i just saw the title and the coach)

I honestly think this map looks fun, it has great background effects and the coach looks stunning

I like how in the choreo, it seems like she's controlling the cards, which i love (i love the dancers acting like the coaches, it feels like their giving them personality)

Overall i really love this seated map, it's my favorite out of the previews, it's just something about it that i love

Side note: I really want to see all the cards we can see during the preview, the cards are so similar like how they did it during the Traveler season (which did introduce us to Night Swan after all)

I wamt to see people zoom in on the cards so we can see who's there (it might even give us clues on upcomming characters or characters that might be important later on!)

I like it, alot of arm movements (gotta get my arms sore again-) and i like how you can see the festival inside the restaurant at the begining (not be trying to look for Mister Overload on the billboards when it switched to the festival lol-)

But i feel like it's missing something, idk what it is but it's missing something

The Sweet Sensation coaches are back...and there's a cow i guess/hj

Okay honestly, i like the vibe from the coaches (even the cow)

There's so much going on in the background so it's alot to take in

I'm honestly meh on this map (i like the costumes for the coaches though)

Last one, and it's the one and only, Rasputin & The Bride!

I watched all the previews and thought it was only 5, but i'm glad i refreshed to see this map

I don't know the song but i feel like it matches their situation and how their relationship was

It's honestly nice to see how they were during their relationship (i know we saw their relationship in Sugar, but i guess i like this map more is because we get to see their facial expressions)

And their so sweet together, i really hope they can solve theses situations their in and get back together (but JD is unpredicatble so i'm not too sure)

Seong Min could solve so many problems if he just told Hwi "I really like you. Our date was great. I'm just interested in several people, and I want to go on a date with everyone I'm interested in before I commit to something."

Given we only see an hour of footage for a 24 hr day, maybe he explicitly said something to him and we don't know. However, him telling Hwi that he just called JS because he told himself he'd call a different person the first two days is silly. He clearly likes JS, and that's fine. They're there to date people. Some people we just going to be into one person and not interested in dating others (JS, YH, and HJ all had this happen last season), and that's fine too.

The problems start to arise when you aren't honest about what's happening.

I think Seong Min is just trying to preserve everyone's feelings. Telling Hwi, who's clearly really into him, that he wants to date other people must be really really awkward. Like who wants to do that? Last season, MS was so distressed by liking two people that he literally slept all day and hid away with SW and JW to avoid talking about it.

I think that's why SM wanted JS to keep the date details a secret. I actually think I'd behave a lot like SM on the show - trying to not make a big deal out of the dates and keeping my relationship with each person separate. They're all aware they're in this insane dating show, so I would want to just let the show progress and then make a decision at the end.

We all know that people who aren't instantly sure about which person they want to pursue get a lot of crap from audiences, which is stupid. You should be allowed to go on multiple dates and come to a well thought out conclusion (like SH did).

But it's clearly driving Hwi insane, and I see why. SM keeps skirting around whether he likes other people and then refuses to tell Hwi about where his head is at. Either him or JS should have just said, "Yea, JS got an extra date card because he got the most calls. It was fine, we did XYZ." And Hwi would still probably be jealous, but then that would a) be on him and b) I think he'd be more calm if he knew SM liked him. Hwi seems really insecure about this whole thing, which is understandable because, again, they're in a giant fishbowl where multiple former contestants have explained your emotions are heightened and you can feel like it's these 8 men or nothing. He really likes this person, and he keeps getting oscillating feedback about whether it's reciprocated.

Like I actually almost cried at the ending talk between Hwi and SM at the end of episode 6 when the lights went off. Hwi saying he was going to wait until mics were off to ask if SM actually liked him outside the show nearly killed me. Like take my heart.

I don't think SM means to be hurtful, but frankly, his response was not it. If I had been Hwi, that would have been it for me. Completely done. Telling Hwi that he'll find out later on the show is borderline cruel. A simple, "I literally just called you, of course I like you," probably would have gone a long ways.

If I was SM, and the person I was into (even if he wasn't the only one) asked me this question, I would be so deeply concerned. When mics did come off, we would be having a nice discussion. I know from HJ's vlogs that production hates that, but JS and SH were literally sleeping in the same bed for half the show and driving everyone nuts so they can suck it up.

In conclusion, I don't think SM is trying to be mean. If anyone has been watching Dabit's His Man 3 streams, he talks about how in the real world, any of these contestant's personality flaws would be normal. They're not sociopaths, they're people we encounter every day - SM is probably avoidant like many of us (me...it's me).

But letting people know how you feel can go a long ways. I feel like the takeaway from this should be that it's okay to have complex feelings about someone (or multiples in this case), but it's not okay to not communicate it.

So for all future His Man contestants who somehow end up here - that's what you should know

Not going to lie it’s tied between season 4 and season 6 with season 9 in second (but I think if I rewatched it it would be a three-way tie fliuhakhfrieghi)

When I was a lad and season 4 first aired I was super bitter bc I felt like the writers ran out of ideas and were like “QUICK ADD MORE CHARACTERS” but rewatching it made me so happy. Plus it’s sandwiched in between two seasons that make me go “eh” for various reasons so maybe it just looks good by comparison lol. But for real season 4 just starts off with such a bang and it keeps that bang for most of the season. Seeing the team broken up hurts me a lot, and just seeing them all heal and come back together in a place where they are being pitted against each other?!?!!?! Beautiful. I’m not even that mad that Lloyd “steals” the season like people say. Controversial but I honestly don’t think Lloyd really stole it, I think Kai had everything mostly under control and I think the season really let him shine. Garmadad? Yes. Nya and Dareth team? Yes why the heck not. Jay and Cole making up in literally the coolest way and having a heart to heart conversation? Yes. COLE FINDING ZANE AND IT ALL JUST BEING SWEET? Yes. And so so much more. I don’t even know. This season makes me so happy and feels like it fixes season 3, and makes the world feel like it’s about to get so much bigger. And it did! I think they did a beautiful job introducing ideas and expanding this show into what it is now. Because that’s what seasons 3 and 4 were trying to do, right? They had this show that was going to be 2 seasons and they had to find a way to keep it going. Season 3 they tried, but I think they really found a nice direction in season 4.

Season 6 I... I love season 6 stop I won’t apologize. Humor is on point. It gave us so much. Ninjago doesn’t make me cry that often, but Jay’s first wish sequence gets me every single time. Skybound is so dark oh my gosh?! I won’t get into it but OH MY GOSH?!?!? So many golden parts to this from Ronin hunting everyone down to the Commissioner telling the pirates to throw the police officer named “Tommy” overboard because he “never liked him anyways” or whatever he says. Good season, makes me happy, I think Nadakhan is a great villain, and each ninja individually losing multiple times hurts me a lot so that’s good. Also Echo.

AND SEASON 9 MADE ME HAPPY THAT’S NOT CONTROVERSIAL THAT’S JUST SUCH A GOOD SEASON.

Gale’s Top 10 Worst episodes of ML

(Now this list is my personal opinion, and since I haven't been so active, might as well make a big list)

I will be making my top 10 best list later)

This list is my personal opinion, and I don't expect everyone to agree with all my picks (some are obviously bad, and some that may have been awful to you might have not been for me. and the reverse. Let me know your personal top 10 worst)

10. Gigatitan

The reason this episode got on the list is mostly because it is completely unnecessary to anything in ML. It was such a dull episode. However, there were two things I did enjoy in the episode. 1. The Girl squad, which I did find funny.

2. I did like that Gorilla will stop being mad as long as Adrien’s okay. 

Aside from that this episode was pretty dull.

9.Malediktator

This one is on the list because it is subpar in a LOT of ways. Chloé’s ‘Redemption’ was pretty much on life support and this did too little too late to make anyone think Chloé was redeemable. The akuma design was lame, Adrien’s attitude (While I do understand why he was upset, had no reason to say no one else should be unhappy) The lesson is more of a slap in the face now with season 3′s ending.

It did have some cool action shots, and Actual cat Chat noir was funny to me.

8. Animaestro

Or as I like to call it, “Thomas’ emotional HJ episode” 

The fight itself was the only somewhat entertaining thing about this episode. (Also Marinette and Kagami’s outfits were cool, but doesn't really save the episode)

It is a textbook case of how ‘Not’ to do a self insert. and how not to do a “Call out the critics” episode. 

Marinette got a lot of flack on this episode, and I think people were too hard on her, she was clearly regretful about he actions and swore not to do it again, besides it was chloé that did the stuff, not Marinette. 

But mainly just the episode was bleh.

7.Stormy weather 2.0

MAN, I HATE CLIPSHOWS.

this episode was a glorified recap, I am not even bothering with an image for this one, because it would just be recycled footage.

Also just drives in the nail that Chloé isn't getting a redemption. So, just more insult to injury.

I guess it does give a little insight on how characters think of each other, but really, it is a pretty weak episode. Aurore deserved better.

6. Antibug

Finally a season 1 episode makes the list.

I am someone that LOVES the evil opposite trope. But the way this episode is done is so... lacking in every sense of the word.

Antibug wasn't even the akuma for Half the episode. How she beats chat noir easily made no sense. Her design was lacking. It felt rushed and the action between Ladybug and Antibug could have been so much better.

I do like the ladynoir in it, but its not a good episode.

5. Copycat

I agree this was a more entertaining episode to watch then most of the episodes below it, but this has a few things wrong with it that I can't look past.

A. HOW OLD IS THEO?! (This is like 30% of my problem with this episode.) Cause potential pedo. I kind of hope @zoe-oneesama​ is right and he is actually Adrien and Marinette age. Or at least Luka Age. Because then I can like his character, Theo wasn't really that bad.

B. Chat noir is at his worst in this episode and doesn't apologize for acting like an absolute possessive prick, which if he did would have probably made this a great episode.

C. (Related to B) Ladybug takes the blame for not showing up. This isn't her fault and I feel like she should know that.

4. Captain Hardrock

This was the episode that made me quit ML for a while.

It was a poorly written and incredibly boring episode.

IT HAS A PIRATE BATTLE IN IT, BUT IT WAS BORING! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?!

Luka’s intro was so... ehh. Comparing it to Kagami’s would be like a paper tiger to a category 3 hurricane. Kagami’s intro was so much stronger.

I found him so douche-y at the time I first watched this. Now my feelings on the guitarist have softened. But I feel he could have had a much better introduction.

also, Marinette’s character was not written well in this episode. (not that she was awful, but her interactions with Luka felt really off to me in this episode)

3. Miracle Queen (Spoilers below)

I loved Loveater, and seeing Miracle Queen was such a MONUMENTAL letdown.

It had a LOT of expectations to meet and Failed in meeting every single one.

The only thing I Found legit enjoyment out of was the fight with Dragonbug and Snake noir against team evil miraculous.

Fu’s departure was... I didn't care. I honestly could not care at this point.

Like I should have felt sadder, but I felt more bad for Marinette. Fu basically Yeeted his responsibility to her. Marinette thinks all of this is all her fault. Now she is the guardian, is giving up on Adrien, and is pretty much alone, because she is under the impression if her identity is ever known, THE WORLD WILL F***ING END.

So yea, I hate how hard Marinette gets hit.

Maybe if they did One of the things, it wouldn't have been so awful.

The show did give up the love square, now its just fucking love triangles. Whoop-dee f***ing do.

Honestly the worst part is how insufferable certain members of the fandom were when this came out. (you guys know what I am talking about.)

2.  The Chameleon

What? This isn't number 1? I bet you are all thinking. 

The truth is, its a bad episode. Objectively one of the worst written episodes, inspired the most salt, and pretty much set the tone of the salt Fandom last year.

Adrien’s lesson was bad, (which he does learn he was wrong, but damage still done)

Marinette had to deal with so much unnecessary crap.

Everyone had the IQ of goldfish.

The akuma was Lame.

The only funny part was Clam Lila (and that is really the only thing that saved it from being number one)

1. Frozen

This one is my personal least favorite episode.

It had Kagami, Adrien and Marinette at their relative worst in terms of personality.

The only decent character in this that didn't make me want to shoot myself was Luka. (and Plagg, but I actually like plagg a lot so he is always exempt unless stated otherwise)

The ice skating battle was sorta cool but I wish there was more to the ice designs, as well as the fight itself.

I was still not over the lame drama from earlier, that really set the tone for the ending of season 3.

And for that, I really can't forgive.

It established the whole love triangle bs.

It made Chat noir an asshole to Copycat levels of asshollery.

It also was the rise of the anti’s that shipped Lukanette. (Not the ones that ship Lukanette because they like the ship and just want happiness for both of them. Those peeps are chill and have great art)  The ones that want to rag on Adrien and use this ship as some sort of way to punish him, because Idk.

I think I hate what the episode started more then the actual episode itself. But that is the main reason why I put this at number ones.
