I made a poster board!

This was meant to go to work, but apparently we can't display solicitations bc as always the MLM huns ruined it for everyone.

So here it is! I was feeling very elementary school science fair when I made this and gosh I am delighted!

I'm starting bright and early tomorriw- I'm cheating a little by already starting 'When the angels left the old country" but it's so flapping good you guys!

Ok the organization is my local trans support project that provides clothing and other necessities to trans folks in my state. If you want to donate to your own, that's cool, I know in US every state is going full nazi on trans folks, just keep in mind SOUTH DAKOTA is a trash pit of human rights and were very small.

Output from our copy of the Sigma SD Quattro used to be quite pleasingly life-like. This time round, however, colours seemed to turn out rather de-saturated. So this had need a little extra saturation boost in post.

ooh, good question. magical realism, i think! (nights at the circus by angela carter)

other than that i think prooobably literary fiction - though that's more an increase this year than a completely new thing; l'étranger (albert camus), heureux les heureux (yasmina reza), petit pays (gaël faye) to name a few.

17 - Did any books surprise you with how good they were?

oh my god crying in h mart (michelle zauner) fucking blew me away. i picked it up à la 'oh cool this musician i like wrote a book!' and i'm still sitting here periodically thinking about it so much like weeks after i've finished it and being just like i NEED to get a copy for my bookshelf.

also this is how you lose the time war (amal el-mohtar & max gladstone). i'd had a couple of false starts trying to read it (pain of trying to read ebooks on your phone screen) but once i really got into it i was SO enamoured with it. also god it made me cry. and that one now has a copy sitting on my bookshelf :)
