While I think most of us have already seen this interview with Kimi Räikkönen where he starts yapping about Sebastian Vettel despite having been asked about Sébastien Loeb...

... I think what makes it even funnier is the fact Loeb and Kimi were both racing for Citroën at the time, and they did a bunch of stuff together.

So it's not like Kimi didn't know him well enough or that Loeb wasn't someone he intereacted with on a regular basis. And for the record, Loeb was a 7 time Rally world champion, going for his 8th at the time of the interview. He is still widely regarded one of the best in all motortsports.

Kimi's brain simply just beelined towards Seb Vettel, who was on a totally different racing category than him.

not to be a Simi shipper on main but can you imagine being Seb in 2009? You just lost the championship and your crush, THE Kimi Raikkonen, is leaving F1. and as if that wasn't bad enough, Kimi's leaving to go race in rally with Sébastien Loeb, who is FRENCH, and everyone seems to agree that french accents are sexier than german accents. and if THAT wasn't bad enough, Loeb was a 6 (SIX!!!!) time world rally champion at this point.

And fav Kimi ships?

Once again I have 3 ships!

1. And once again the only correct answer is Simi.

Their relationship truly transcends everything. There’s a 2001 interview where Kimi mentions that he doesn’t really talk to anyone but that Mika talks to him sometimes in drivers briefings, and I cannot help comparing that to after Seb arrives and carves himself a place of honour by Kimi’s side at every drivers parade. Boy was a rookie in Toro Rosso pulling Kimi closer by the hand in China 2008 and I have still not learned how to be normal about it.

And the way Kimi allowed Seb to do whatever he liked? The iconic “I love — Kimi is a very nice guy” on international television? One time Kimi was asked about Sébastien Loeb and started talking about Vettel until the interviewer told him he meant the other guy. When everyone wanted Seb’s head for daring to win a race against team orders, Kimi said he liked him. When people were calling Seb washed, Kimi was there to refute it. He’s been soft for him and defending him from the start and I want to know what on earth Seb did to get this treatment.

Edit: how could I forget Seb taking a secret elevator to Kimi’s hotel room in China 2012.

2. Kimi x long hair. It was real for two and a half years and I never moved on.

3. Kimi x snow. Oh my god he looks so pretty in the snow.
