Worst Woman
Worst Woman [trailer]
Eun-hee is an actress with poor acting skills. However, in real life, she likes to create different personas each time she meets a different man. Eventually all her lies get tangled up when she happens to meet three men in one day.
The title as well as the official summary are misleading. The woman in question isn't "bad", at least no more than some of the men involved. The movie is a contemplation about "lying" when you're acting, or "lying" when you're writing a story.
It's interesting. But it's also quiet, you have to be in the right mood for it.

(Worst Woman, 2016)
ⓒWATCHA
/

Midnight Diner (2009) [La Cantina de Medianoche, Shinya shokudo]
¡Atención, esta crítica contiene alguos spoilers!
Título original: Shinya shokudô
Dirección: Joji Matsuoka, Nobuhiro Yamashita
Guion: Katsuhiko Manabe, Kôsuke Mukai, [Historia: Yaro Abe (manga)]
Elenco: Kaoru Kobayashi, Toshiki Ayata, Mansaku Fuwa, Shohei Uno, Kiyobumi Kaneko, Takashi Yamanaka, Risa Sudo, Asako Kobayashi, Nahoko Yoshimoto, Joe Odagiri, Yuko Genkaku, Ryo Iwase, Tamae Ando, Yutaka Matsushige
País: Japón
Año: 2009
Tempordas: 5

NON-SPOILER REVIEW Overall: I will first say: I had a lot of internal stress in me this day and I pretty much went straight to this play after having a major panic attack on the train to the venue, so that definitely took me out of my enjoyment when I went and left a lot of negative in me, especially in the first half of this stage. I was mainly bored through out Episode 2. There was too much stagnation and too many sad scenes and it felt like they stretched out a lot of scenes that didn’t need to be stretched out so they could get it to Four Episodes. POSITIVES: I DID enjoy all the races and the comedy etc. And the second half was definitely a lot more enjoyable for me (probably because I’d calmed by that point). I did enjoy (most) of the characters - especially all the new ones - and I definitely will see this through to the end and the aftertalk with Ichijyoukan was absolutely gold and probably the best part of the play for me xD but overall I felt a lot of time was wasted on things I didn’t care about this episode. If you watched Episode One or really like the actors or liked the anime/game then you’re gunna enjoy this Episode anyway xD Rating: 6/10
---
SPOILER REVIEW!
*I already mentioned in my Non-Spoiler but just in case people skipped that, I have a DISCLAIMER: I saw this stage right after having a major panic attack on the train so it took me the good first half of this play to calm down and be able to fully focus on the stage itself. So if there’s a lot of negative, just blame it on my mental collapse and take (most) of the negatives lightly!
Pre- Show
I forgot how good the waiting music was in Episode One in the theatre. It’s back!! I got so pumped just listening to the waiting music!
The theatre was full this time which was nice and made me relax a little. I was very worried it wouldn’t be full again like last time. Also I was right in front of the tech crew so I could hear them shuffling papers and things (same at HakuMyu) which was juicy for me xD but took me a bit to figure out it was the crew making noise and not the audience xD I was about ready to be old woman cranky pants complaining xD
Story
I feel like although this is going off the game mainly, it’s not much different from the anime in fact.
We saw training with Saisei and then we see Ayumu get injured and because of that they have to rush to find a sixth member and low and behold Kuga runs in to save the day and we learn about why he left the club etc.
Although I feel we got more Ichijyoukan development and we saw more of their cheating and slyness unlike the anime which I loved seeing! I should really hate Ichi for what they did but it just made me love them more (especially when we get deeper into the review, you’ll see why).
But just like the anime, Episode two was was boring at the exact same points. Like: I don’t care who your dad is Nana, in fact I don’t even CARE about you. Let’s just get to Riku’s brother already! That’s the family storyline I want! Let’s just get to Kuga finally joining the team alright?! Let’s just get to the races alright?!
In Episode Two, there is a lot more talking and a lot more ‘lets be sad and have sad scenes’ that just bored me (same as the anime did at these points).
Also I feel a lot of time was wasted this Episode but I get you have to stretch it into 4 episode but... for example, the realising ‘we were already friends’ storyline took way too long in my opinion. You could’ve easily cut that scene down or made them realise a different way.
I did enjoy the stage overall but there was just too much talking and stand still and not really much development and proceeding through the story; I get they have to stretch the story into 4 episodes/stage BUT just add new things like more other school interaction or more training or stratergising or something.
Acting
I already did a lot of individual comments for Honan and Saisei in my Episode One review so I won’t do that again this time.
Hounan Team:
They definitely gave Jin loads more stunts this time! They gave him all the most difficult ones too. A few of the others now do backflips and such which is awesome but there still is this massive difference between Jin and everyone else’s ability xD I mean I’m happy he has these intricate, complicated stunts BUT at the same time, doesn’t ease my poor anxiety xD
The Higawari was awesome! << I assume it was a higawari! It’s during the time where they’re at Nana grandpa’s house and the grandpa brings in some crab for them to eat and Izaki went to eat the crab but it fell off... twice! And then Jin’s fell! And everyone lost their shit; audience and cast! Then Izaki and Jin had this perfect comedy due combination where Izaki was like ‘you too?!’ ‘yeah.. it’s strange’ ‘I wonder if it’s alive.’ ‘Why’s it doing it?!’ and they just so naturally continued this conversation between them, while Nana’s actress was trying to get everyone back on script xD
Once again Ayumu had an accident on stage when I was there! I feel like one was an accident and one was part of the act. So in the very first opening race/training he jumps up onto the box but his right leg didn’t have enough lift so hit the box on the way up. Then during the opening credits he does it again as he jumps up onto the box, but that one looked more fake, so I’m not sure if both were planned or both were mistakes or what, but my heart was not good. I’m sure my other PuriSute watching friend can confirm this with me. Also, Ayumu did a complete 180 this time around. He lost his position as the comedy relief of the stage (it went to Hikari) and is totally serious the entire stage which is a shame because he did the comedy so well last time! I want my fun Ayumu back please! Also I forgot just how freaking young his actor and Hozumi’s actor are. They looked even younger this time xD
I really wanna get Hozumi’s bromides. I love him but for some reason I haven’t let myself both times to get them. I think I’ll just do a HUGE Hozumi matsuri in Episode 4 and buy all his bromides at once xD
Everyone cried at Kuga’s race. As soon as he took up the position and joined the group, you could hear a few sniffles. And then when he started... he just looks so beautiful and does it saw flawlessly and it’s like Kuga is everyone’s favourite character and have been dying since Episode One to see him run and to finally see him get involved and run! We all got emotional during his scene. BUT Taiyou wasn’t even running xD He was LONG walking at most >.< that stage is not big enough for him to even break into a jog which made me giggle quite a bit. He’s just too tall >.<
I noticed they gave Ayumi a lot, a lot less time on stage this time -- maybe I wasn’t the only one complaining about her (and Nana and DJ Stride) in Episode One’s questionnaires then??... I understand quite a few people like and enjoy these three characters but just personally for me they’re just a waste of time and stage space.
I already said my beef about Nana and I DO get Nana is supposed to be important and such but I just do not care about her or her relationship with the other two characters nor her and her dad’s storyline.
Also please can get rid of DJ Stride completely already?! I can’t be the only one who can’t stand him and find him pointless right?! And don’t get me started on the penlights...
Saisei Team:
JIN!! Jin why you leaving?! Don’t leave Jin!!! << literally my entire thought process whenever he was on stage. I really enjoyed Saisei this time around; I quite like them all and I like how they did the ‘scene from the balcony second floor’ again ^_^ I really, really love this school! They really didn’t leave an impression on me in the anime, but I guess because they get more scenes and development and everything in the stage so we get to know them a lot more and seriously, they’re all great! If I had to rank--- NOOO! I am not ranking them! That’d be difficult xD but yes it’ll be sad to see Jin leave *cries*
Also I think I mentioned this the first time but seriously Tanaka Naoki looks EXACTLY like my friend.... it cracked me up this time too when he came on stage xD Matsumoto also reminds me of...Kamisato perhaps? I liked Mihara as Kaede even more this time! ^_^ he’s so cute...
They really improved the Live this time around! It was better costumes, better impersonations, better dances and coordination and cooperation between them all, it at least looked like Jin and Mihara were legit singing which made me happy! It was a much better performance and I enjoyed it a lot! It was obvious this time around how close they’ve actually become between the actors ^_^
Ichijyoukan Team:
This fucking team.... I knew it... I knew I’d get in to deep! Let’s break it down shall we...
Murata Hisashi as Himemiya Yuri: Bloody knew I’d fall for this son of a bitch! When I rewatched the anime I saw him and I was like “I vaguely remember liking him last time... I’m defo gunna fall for this guy!’ and then I saw the stage visuals and was like ‘dammit he’s cute! I hope I don’t fall for him’ and guess what happened! HE IS SO CUTE AND HE’S SO MY CHARACTER TYPE! OMG LET ME HAVE HIM!!! And it was Murata’s first stage too!!
Tani Yoshiki as Dozono Shiki: This guy was mean! The actor did a brilliant job as him! It was also super funny how in the aftertalk and his natural self is completely different to his character here. He’s so nice in real life <- more about his struggles in the Aftertalk xD
Tanabe Ken as Shishibara Kaoru and Asegawa Kenta as Samejima Arata: I’m going to be honest and kinda can’t tell these two apart... I think one of them is the dumb puppy and one of them it the muscleman... I think Ken is the puppy and Kenta is the muscleman... I don’t remember much about these to unfortunately...
Funaki Masahida as Washimi Kiyoto: He was another juicy meanie; this school IS supposed to be mean and cheaty and I enjoyed his performance xD
Matsumoto Yui as Hachiya Tetsu: This guy is crazy. Both character and actor. First his is awesome and is enough to alert you that this guy is crazy and funny and weird xD
I don’t have much to say about Ichijyoukan as a whole because to be honest, we didn’t get enough scenes with them (seriously, change out the talking time for more other school scenes!) where I could see their individual personalities and the characters but the actors themselves, the aftertalk was GOLD for them. More later...
Ohhh I have to tell you, it was their ending this show too and it was:
So it was just them training at school and Himemiya is telling everyone their weak point and then turns to Ken who was working out in the background and is like ‘Kenta! ... You’re doing perfectly fine’ xD then as Himemiya leaves they all go:
Washimi: Hime, did you change your shampoo? Hime: No I didn’t Tetsu: Did you change your parting? Hime: No I didn’t Kenta: Did you change your pencil case? Hime: I did All Three: PRINCESS!!!!!*
*Hime means princess xD
It as hilarious! I loved their ending >.< both points were funny and great!
Normally I’d leave the aftertalk to the end but because it was their aftertalk and it was so amazing, I have to discuss it right now!
The Aftertalk!
Holy shit guys... this team did not stop! They’re all young and super energetic and they all clearly get along VERY, very well and they were just a total party on stage. The cast AND audience were laughing their asses off and were totally upset when it came to an end. So lets go in order of the questions and topics they got:
1. Impressions of Parkour
These guys too did at least year of parkour before the rehearsals started. They said Tani was the biggest scaredy cat of them all when they first started the training but that even though he doesn’t do any parkour, they all claimed Tani was the best out of them with the parkour which is great xD to which Tani admits he hats running and he’s glad he doesn’t have a running role xD They also mentioned ‘Tani’s character is scary but he’s not really like that.
To which Matsumoto was like “but (because of his character) he started saying more abuse” Tani then went on to explain that even in the dressing room he enters Dozono mode and that it’s difficult for him to now turn Dozono off. “Even at home alone I’ve started spouting abuse. Like when my clothes are washing “this washer is damn loud!’ and such *laughs*” Funaki then turned to the crowded and explained how they have a group line and they say ‘good morning’ to each other every morning, “and then today this guy (Tani) wrote “おはよう駒達・Mornin’ foal folks”
Then they changed the conversation to Himemiya’s wig and Murata explained as soon as he puts the wig on, he’s Himemiya and will mess with his pig tails and make sure it looks good and everyone was just like ‘kawaii~//You’re so cute! Even if you were older you’d look cute!’ Murata’s reply is “older? Me and Tanabe are the youngest here!’
It was Tanabe’s first stage too. Kobayashi commented “it’s your first stage AND it’s at Theatre 10101...that’s amazing! How was the first day?” and Tanabe responded “I couldn’t see anything” xD
2. What’s the dressing room like for you guys?
“Exactly the same as we are here” was the overall answer xD
But Tani claimed he doesn’t really talk in the dressing room to which Matsumoto stood up and went “this guy is lying! He’s pretty loud and annoying In the dressing room)!” xD and then Tani went on to explain that Matsumoto and Murata and such are constantly just playing games in the dressing room and talking about the game and how he just gets annoyed at them over being glued to their phones xD
3. Do you have ‘This guy is awesome!’ or anything like that?
Tani stood up and went ‘okay I have a present for you all!’ so he made everyone stand up in the middle of the stage one by one and gave them a ‘compliment’:
Tetsu: Your dance in the opening song is great... dance for me. (So Matsumoto did the dance xD it was hilarious and silly and stupid xD) Samejima: He’s great at mannerisms. He steals others poses in the opening. Unmarketable Host (everyone in the audience lost it at this point) Shishibara: You look exactly like Sato Koichi Lastly Himemiya: Our houses are close.
Murata and Tani explained how their houses are so close that they go home on the train together every day xD Matsumoto jumped in and said “I go home with you guys too!” Murata: You come with us even though your house is far away from us! He comes with us and then takes the hour and a half home. Matsumoto: It’s fun with you guys so I wanna go home with you.
Seriously Matsumoto is so weird but so funny xD and clearly sweet xD
4. Has anything happened during your performances?
FunakI; On the first day! Matsumoto is the last to come out but when he came out, he came out during Ichiba’s curtain call! He panicked and ran back! Kobayashi: None of us (backstage) noticed... did you guys (audience) notice? *loads of hands went up* Matsumoto apologised xD
Any others?
Tani: During yesterdays performance, I went back to the dressing room and when I went to take off my glasses, I realised I didn’t have them on! I panicked and rushed back to where I’d come from but couldn’t find them so went BACK to the dressing room, opened the glasses case and there they were! So I’d done the scene without my gasses! I no longer know if I’m wearing glasses or not... I don’t see or feel a difference on my face xD I even remove ‘air’ glasses now. Kobayashi: Did anyone notice yesterday? *quite a few raised their hand* Tani apologised xD
Then Matsumoto stood up and was like ‘Can I ask something to everyone?! ... Can you all see inside my sunglasses?! I have make up on but some people said I don’t need it” The front rows said they could see his make up, he looked so happy and was like “oh good! Especially when I’m showing m profile for the start of my race” and the cast were like “THAT’s where you’re bothered about your makeup being seen?!’ xD
And it finally came to an end. As you can see they’re all idiots and I’m really not doing the comedy justice but it was an amazing aftertalk and I HOPE this is on the DVD!
Ichiba Team:
Unfortunately I don’t have much to say about these guys either... the two that stood out where Hikari and Ikki. Hiakari too over as the comedy relief for this Episode after Ayumu and everyone laughed at Hikari because he was absolutely ridiculous. Very dramatic, very flamboyant, very over the top and it was fabulous and so funny. And Ikki reminds me of a slightly attractive Inui but I guess it’s the glasses xD other than that I have nothing more to say about them, sorry!
It’s so obvious I’ve become a Ichijyoukan supporter right?! xD

GOODS
Look how good the bromides were this time around!!! HIMEMIYA!! <3
And this was my bag this day too:
---
I hope that was enough for you and I hope it wasn’t TOO negative ^_^
Enjoy!
