((( Sand Pebbles, The Antagonist - track-by-track )))
Track 3, Side 2: Russian Ending
A Russian ending, in literature or cinema, is where it all goes pear-shaped, and the protagonists die/suffer some disastrous end. Like, say, in Bonnie & Clyde, The Wild Bunch, Romeo & Juliet.
The song touches on the Titanic as a disastrous meet-cute between ice and ship. It also speaks of an incident that occurred in Oregon in 1970 where a beached sperm whale was filled with dynamite and blown up to dispose of it. All that happened was that onlookers were covered in burning blubber. A real Russian ending for that beautiful creature.
Not to be confused with a French kiss, a French exit, or a Dutch Treat.
Luna’s Britta Phillips duets with Andrew.

"Have to come up with three extra names" If you'd like, a trick I learned to do is to google stuff like "Insert characteristic names" and browse a few of the baby name websites for moms that pop up. Might seem a bit strange, but some of them actually offer pretty cool names, and details like origin and typical gender association if that matters to you. Some of the ones I've gotten include things like Sinasta, Dearil, Darion, and Zein.
oh im neck deep in the baby name forums as we speak LOL i think i just make it extra hard for myself because I exclusively go off of pure vibes and how the name sounds. like it'd be nice if the meaning also matched up but i honestly, and this may be a sacrilegious statement, kind of don't care LOL luckily i think ive been able to narrow it down for the other mysterious elf men for now...
what's funny is that I picked Killian's name mostly cause i liked how it sounded and thought it suited him. turns out ⁉️⁉️⁉️
Tumblr media
i just thought the L's and the -ian ending sound made the name sound soft and elegant, but the 'K' adds kind of a surprising abrasive touch than if it was spelt “Cillian”. this was a complete surprise and probably one of few times it'll ever happen again lmao

Eddie posts a Tiktok where he’s clearly hiding behind a corner, filming Steve and Robin attempt to tie themselves back to back to chairs. They’re arguing with each other about it because it’s very hard to tight yourself up so Eddie clear his throat.
He asks when they look at him, “What is this, platonic BDSM?”
Steve: I’m proving a point. Help me?
Robin: I’m proving a point. We would’ve succeed if Steve hadn’t been concussed
Steve: The concussion wasn’t the problem. It’s that you have the coordination of a newly born giraffe. We wouldn’t have fallen over if you had any control over your limbs.
Robin: Lies and slander! You didn’t even know your left and right.
Steve: That’s diff-
Eddie: Whoa. Wait, what? What are you talking about? Succeeded at what?
Steve: It’s not about succeeding. It’s about avoiding, which we did not do.
Eddie: Huh?
Robin, helpfully: The bone saw
Eddie: WHAT?!????
