Buzz...

Buzz...
'Hel-' 'I told you I was okay mom, you need to stop texting me so much.' Danny? 'I'm still at the library near Nightingale Drive but I promise I'll be home soon.'
Dinah was out of her chair and hurrying towards the nearest teleporter before he could finish speaking and inadvertently startling a few nearby heroes as she pushed past them.
'Dinah?'
'Dinah, what's happening.' Oliver called out when he noticed her leaving.
'Danny, a kid I've been mentoring just called using one of the codewords we came up with for emergencies.' And it must have been bad if Danny was calling her this late at night but at least he was using the phone she got him so it only took a few seconds to pull up his location through the built in tracker.
Huh...
What in the world was Danny doing in Star City?
It didn't matter. Not right now. She'd ask later but for now she was busy punching in the right coordinates while Oliver ran to grab his own gear.
-_- -_- -_-
It didn't take long to find him. The kid, Dinah's boy was hiding in a coffee shop a few blocks away from the library he was using for his cover story so Oliver stayed back for now and watched from his hiding spot on a nearby rooftop as Dinah hurried into the shop playing up the role of a worried mom.
She was good at it.
Nobody gave her a second glance as she pulled the kid into a hug while muttering soft reassurance that doubled as codewords. He knew some of it meant danger and alone but he was too far away to make anything else out and Dinah angled the kid in a way that kept him and anyone else watching from reading their lips.
And he got it.
He really did.
From his bloodshot eyes to the sway in his every other step it was obvious from just a glance that the kid was dead on his feet. He'd more than likely been running for a while now and was one soft breeze away from collapsing so the last thing he needed was a complete stranger coming out of nowhere and questioning him but that still left Oliver with a dozen different questions as he listened to Roy going over everything they could dig up on such short notice which wasn't much.
It looked like somebody had gone through a lot of trouble to erase Amity Park's existence but a few things managed to get through like news covering the Fenton's home being raided by the government and Vlad Masters' very public, very messy custody battle with the older sister. Both of them were seen accusing each other of everything and anything, screaming insults and overly creative threats, and on more than one occasion the police had to pull Jasmine off of Masters who kept paying her bail but there was nothing explaining the hows or whys behind everything going on.
I know it isn't much but I just had the thought of Danny's parents getting arrested for whatever reason really but I'm going with their change of heart after a reveal gone right for this prompt. They shut everything down and stop making weapons that can actually hurt magical beings and a lot of influential people don't like that leading to a police raid while Jazz is away and forcing Danny to reach out to Dinah who could be his anything really from one of those online therapists to a godmother who tries to help him figure out his powers.

Jason finally had time to check his phone. He removed any miscellaneous notifications he forgot to silent before getting to the track this morning, but he was checking for a familiar name and icon.
It was like a little surge was invading his bones. He couldnât help smiling at your conversations, it was like he was back to a teenager nervously trying to talk to a crush, but he didnât have a lot of experience with those.
The times he rarely did have a fling, he kept it private, left it before it could be a scandal that he would be chewed out for.
But this.
This was new. He knew it was different when he was trying to get any attempt to still make sure you were fine with being with him.
What really made his stomach churn was when he couldnât bring you to the airport to see him off. It felt wrong to leave your place without you behind him, leaving you to kiss only him goodbye, but not asking to follow him to the airport.
He tried to brush off the feeling the entire flight, but he couldnât squish the thought that he wanted you here. That other than a quick romance, he could talk to you about his personal life, and he was fighting to throw you on the next plane so you could watch him race.
Maybe a dramatic kiss after he won would be nice. But, that was too cliché.
While deep in his thoughts, Roy tried to peak over Jasonâs shoulder, trying to see what he was looking at, but it was not smart to try that on such a tall man. All he could manage to see was an open browser with plane flights.
âYou tryna leave me here by myself?â Roy calmly asked, keeping his eyes down at the phone.
Jason frowned, not surprised at the nosey man.
âYou get a little friend and now you want to leave me?â Roy feigned tears, placing his hands gently onto Jasonâs shoulders. âIf you must, then go! I can get us a championship. I can handle that for us.â
Jason sighed, closing his phone.
âShouldnât you be watching Lian? Why are you bothering me and what are you talking about?â He asked.
âLianâs always with the crew, sheâs more interested in the buttons than behind the wheelâdonât try to distract me, Iâm not stupid, Jaybird. I knew you were a two timer.â Roy pointed an accusing finger into Jasonâs face. âI saw that interview and I know that look in your eyes. I even commented on that video.â
âUh, huh.â Jason ignored him and walked away, this time looking back at his phone to try to type, not reacting to Royâs antics.
âIâm surprised your brothers havenât bothered you about it. Dickâs gonna be jealous when I tell him youâre trying to get a flight back for love.â Roy aimlessly followed Jason, adjusting the cap on his head as he playfully wiggled his brows.
âThat dickwad is probably too busy hiding behind a badge for that. He needs to find better things to do than bother me.â Jason stopped pacing, looking back at the red hair tail that canât seem to get off him. âAnd you need to watch your daughter and also stop bothering me.â
âThatâs what Iâm here for.â Roy sung. âJust me and you on this track forever, plus Lian, never leaving each other while we embraceâwith Lian, of course.â He opened his arms for a hug.
Jason gave Roy an impassive look, not bothered to even give him an expression.
Still with open arms and a smile on his face, Roy waited before a small voice shouted out.
âJayJay! JayJay!â Lianâs small shout catches Royâs attention.
âMy Lian!â Roy reached out to grab his daughter walking with one of the crew members, finally relieving them from their babysitting duty. âNo Jaybird today, Lian, heâs trying to run away.â He cooed happily to his daughter as she laughed, large noise cancelling headphones were bouncing around her neck and a bright smile spread on her face as he booped her nose.
âIâm notâthe flight isnât for me.â Jason sighed, not willing to look at Roy fully in the eyes.
Royâs eyes widened as he heard the admission. A small silence lingered.
Lian broke the pause by reaching out for Jason. She made small grabby hands before he immediately gave in to grab her underneath her arms, settling on his chest.
She whispered a small âJayJayâ before laying her head down, exhausted from an hour of playing while Roy and Jason were busy racing in the practice sessions.
While Jason patted Lianâs back soothingly, Roy watched as the two most important people in his life were embracing. It brought a smile to his face.
âIâm happy for you, Jaybird.â
It was all that was said between the two as Lian closed her eyes, but Jason felt content. He was given support.
â
âIâm never afraid of the track, itâs the fastest you can ever be on the ground and I wanna be the best.â Jason spoke to the interviewer on your TV screen, the Australian sun surrounding his face.
âHow important is this race for you?â The off-screen voice asked Jason.
âEvery race is important. Iâve gotten RedBull multiple wins these past couple years and I want to add another one. I feel better than Iâve ever have.â
You sat on your couch, dinner in your lap, watching your partner on screen wave goodbye, giving one final dazzling smile while taking off to his car.
He looked like he was in his element, a kind of happiness that only sprouted in him from Formula 1. A kind of motivation used for racing.
âWelcome to another race of the Formula One World Championship. What a great weekend to continue a new season.â The introduction boomed from your TV, setting up the Sunday excitement, ready to end another race weekend.
Ding. Ding. Your phone notifications rung next to you as you took a bite of your dinner.
You: I told you to hold a peace sign to the camera, now you owe me dinner
(Handsome) Mr. Todd: *thumbs down your message*
You laugh at your phone screen.
You: Loser
(Handsome) Mr. Todd: *thumbs down your message*
You: Send me a picture of you in your gear
As you wait for the reply, your TV catches your attention. A driver youâve never seen before now standing in front of the microphone.
âTodd? How is that guy a threat? He just hides behind the RedBull emblem, but heâs nothing but another racer.â The raspy voice sent a chill through you.
âJason Todd is a back-to-back four-time World Champion, do you plan on breaking that streak?â The interviewer pressed on.
âHa! Like thatâs hard, did you see how he crashed his vehicle last year? Bet he wouldnât want that happening again, huh?â The manâs voice twisted something in you.
Formula 1 did have itâs competitive moments, but how was someone like this rude man competing?
Ding.
(Handsome) Mr. Todd: please I am more than my body
Despite Jasonâs words, a flattering picture of him came in. A good look at his hands and body in the RedBull uniform. Gosh, you missed him.
You saved the photo with a smile on your face. A new lock screen.
You: donât injure that pretty face of yours <3
âThank you for the interview, good luck on your race.â The interviewer finished up, stepping in front of the camera to replace the rude driver.
You glanced up to get one final look at the screen, watching the rude racer walk away, expecting him to get bombarded with another interviewer and a brand new set of cameras, but he walked in a different direction, away from the crowd.
You were confused at the racer breaking the long chain of interviews happening on race day.
At the very edge of the camera, you could see the racer joining another man, adorned in a suit, turning his head sideways, but you couldnât recognize who that was.
You whipped out your laptop. Maybe you missed an upcoming rookie the last year or there mustâve been a change you missed in the racing industry.
Your mind buzzed remembering the blurry man putting his arm around the rookie racer before your ringtone shouted at you.
Life is a Highway started to play as Jasonâs contact picture brightened on the screen, a nice side view picture of his smiling face when you took him out for dinner.
You quickly picked up.
âHey Jay! Howâs Australia?â You gleefully asked, contrasting glancing back and forth to the TV screen and your laptop before the camera changed to the racetrack, no longer seeing the mysterious men.
âItâs fun when Roy isnât talking his ass off.â Jasonâs voice faded as he yelled at Roy to back off from him. âI gotta race soon, but I just wanted to hear ya before I had to leave. God, I miss you.â
Your breath hitched hearing Jason be so direct. You tried to reason with yourself that it was from the adrenaline before the race, but it made you feel like you were floating off the couch.
âI miss you too. Maybe when you have a chance to get back here, we can go out to eat like we normally do.â You suggested, a little more brightness in your voice.
You watched the compilation of Jasonâs previous races playing on the screen. You saw him zooming down the narrow lanes at horrifying speeds as you heard him softly speak to you through your phone.
âI wanna fly you out here before then. I mean, Iâll be down for Vegas, but thatâs too long. I gotta get you down here next to me.â Jasonâs voice smoothly went in and out of your ears.
Your felt yourself reddening at his delightful words to you.
âIâll see what I can do about work leave, but maybe iâll take a couple sick days?â You spoke to Jason, happiness surging through you. âI would really love to fly out there.â
A loud engine roared through your phone, cutting off Jasonâs voice briefly.
âShit, sorry about that, I gotta go. I loââ Jason hesitated before he was about to end the call, following up by several louder engines revving, overshadowing his voice despite how close he was to the phone. âI, uh, Iâll call you later.â
âStay safe, Jay.â
âWouldnât want it any other way.â
Beep.
The call clicked to end. No longer hearing the bustle around Jason as he was inching closer to his race.
Your heart beat rapidly in your ears as you continued to hold your phone in your hand despite the call ending moments ago.
You canât assume.
There are numerous words that start with that sound. Maybe it was a mistake?
â
âWhat the fuck, Roy?â Jason yelled over Roy revving his engine multiple times. âI was almost doneâwill you stopâRoy!â
Roy lifted his foot, no longer making the obnoxious noise.
âGet your helmet on, we gotta go. If you win, then you can talk on the phone all ya want.â Roy was ready to pull onto the track. âUnless you want to stay on the phone and I can win this for us?â
Roy laughed as he sped off.
Jason sighed in disbelief as he walked back to get make sure the final checks on his car were done.
Roy was the only one who could compete with him on the track, so maybe his words werenât just to instigate him.
He needed to focus because he wanted to see you and win while you were with him.
Jason put on his helmet, getting any last-minute safety precautions checked before he got the signal to drive out.

"Negotiation"
Summary: Detective!Jason Todd x detective!Reader based on Jake and Amy's relationship
Series Warnings: Swearing, descriptions of violence (but nothing descriptive), guns and other police stuff
Series Masterlist
âL/n,â Wayne rapped his fist on Y/nâs desk urgently. âThere was a botched B&E at a jewellery store on Benbrock that just turned into a hostage situation.â He sighed and said, âthey want you to be the negotiator.â
Y/n gasped and let out a strangled noise of excitement. âOh my God, my prayers have finally been answered!â
âYou pray for a hostage situation?â Jason asked incredulously.
âYes, I did.â Y/n turned to him, serious as stone. âEvery single day.â
Jason frowned, more concerned for the hostages after they heard Y/nâs jokes than Y/n herself. He knew she could handle herself. âI don't understand. Why isn't ESU handling this?â
âApparently, the hostage-taker asked for Y/n by name.â Wayne raised a brow and stared down at his detective like she had an answer.
âOh, it's getting even cooler!â Y/n hummed and contemplated, âman, I wonder who it is. Maybe it's the sister of someone I put away for life. Ooh! Or the identical twin of someone I put away for life. Ooh! Or the fraternal twin of-â
Captain Wayne cut off her tangent. âL/n! Just get down there! And take Drake with you.â
âYou got it!â Y/n beamed and jumped up. âYep, yep, yep.â She turned to Tim who had come to stand next to her. âHow do I look? Police-y enough?â She waved him off before he could answer. âIt doesn't matter. Let's go negotiate!â
When Tim and Y/n got the the jewellery store, the block was closed off and police cars were surrounding the building, sirens going on and off periodically. Y/n waltzed up to the area and pronounced, âdonât panic, everyone, I'm here.â An officer beckoned her over and Y/n introduced herself. âI'm Y/n L/n, the negotiator.â
The man stared at her, unimpressed. âSo you're Y/n L/n?â
âThe negotiator, yes. And⊠who are you?â
âArnold Flass, ESU. This was my crime scene before you bozos got here.â
Tim sipped on his coffee before noting, ânice to meet you too, Arnold.â
âI've spent ten years as a negotiator and you just took my first hostage situation,â Arnold exclaimed. âAll I've done up until now is talk jumpers off of rooftops.â
âWell, that must be satisfying in its own way, right?â Y/n offered. Tim walked off to talk to a more senior, professional officer.
Arnold scoffed. âYeah, really satisfying saving a crazy person's life. Here's a little advice: I don't like you.â
âNot so much advice as a hurtful statement based on limited interaction,â Y/n muttered.
âHe wants to talk to you,â Tim came back and motioned to Y/n.
Arnold rolled his eyes and ripped the label off his vest. He handed it to Y/n begrudgingly. âGet the hell in there.â
âOh, it says ânegotiatorâ on it.â Y/n happily put it on and weaved through the crowd of officers and bystanders. She took a bullhorn from a cop and called into it, âthis is Y/n L/n. I am unarmed and I'm approaching the building.â The door swung open ominously and Y/n glanced back at Tim. He gave her a nod of encouragement. âYou wanted to talk to me?â Y/n stepped into the jewellery store, peeking around the corner.
âKeep those hands in the air,â a voice commanded. Then, in a lighter tone, the voice joked, âand wave 'em like you just don't care.â
âWhat?â Y/nâs brows furrowed, confused.
The hostage-taker finally came into view. âI'm just messing with you, L/n.â Roy Harper grinned. âPut your hands down, give me a hug, darling.â
âRoy!âÂ
âOkay, so are we gonna talk about it?â Steph slipped into the seat next to Jason and leaned on his desk.
âNope.â
âTodd, you frustrate me,â Damian said. Steph blinked at him, not realising he was listening in.
Jasonâs chest clenched. âThere is nothing we need to talk about.â
âI disagree,â Damian muttered.Â
âListen,â Jason turned away from his computer and Steph knew that it was about to get real. âI just went out on another date with Rose. Sheâs a lovely girl and I was thinking of taking it to the next step. Iâm planning on asking her to be my official girlfriend tomorrow night.â
Steph shook her head. âYeah, thatâs not gonna work. You see, my big plan in life is to push you and Y/n together so you can all be happy and possibly make even cuter babies.âÂ
Jason blushed and swallowed thickly. âIâm not interested in L/n.âÂ
Damian scoffed. âBrown, we have a lie detector at the precinct, correct?â
Steph grinned, eyes lighting up with mischief. âHeyâŠ. Richard!â she called to Dick. âWanna have a little fun?â Dick looked up, beaming impishly.
âI gotta admit, man,â Roy said, shrugging. âI thought you'd be more happy to see me. Whyâre you being so weird?â
âOh, I don't know.â Y/n pursed her lips together. âI didn't sleep well last night, so Iâm just tired. Oh, and also, this is a hostage situation!â
âWow!â Roy sucked in a dramatic breath. âIt's like that.â
âYes, it's like that. What the hell, man? You called me, remember? You promised me that you wouldnât do anything to wind up in jail!â Y/n referenced the time when Roy called her in the middle of the night to promise to stop his life as a criminal.
âI didnât! I work at Tiffany and Co. now.â He rested a proud hand on his chest. âI sell luxury jewels to the rich and famous and I do it legally. Last week I sold a sapphire necklace to the dude who played Johnny in Hotel Transylvania.â
âYou met Johnny?â Y/n exclaimed. âWas he cool? Does he actually like vampires in real life? Wait- no.â She caught herself. âWeâre not chatting right now. You have three hostages.â
âYou mean Pam and the two Bobs?â Roy looked at the three people on the floor, rope loosely tied around their wrists. âTheyâre not hostages. I prefer to call them âcollateral friendships.â I gave them each one hundred bucks out of my own pocket.â
One of the Bobs spoke up. âThanks again, Roy.â
The other Bob nodded his head in agreement. âYouâre the man, Roy.â
Pam stuttered, âa-actually, I'd rather not be a hostage.â
âPam hasn't come around to me yet.â Roy shrugged. âTell her I'm a nice person, Y/n.â
âI'm so sorry,â Y/n said to Pam.
âOfficer, are you friends with this criminal?â Pam asked, aghast.
Y/nâs nose scrunched up. âNot reallyâŠâ
However, Roy replied at the same time, âabsolutely, best friends.â
âIt's a layered relationship, Pam,â Y/n defended.
âBest friends,â Roy corrected.
âHarper,â Y/n hissed, pulling him towards the door. âWhat is going on, dude?â
âThis isn't my fault, darling!â Roy protested. âTwo years ago before I went straight, I stole a big ruby from a drug dealer: Jack Napier.â
âOh, no, Roy.â Y/n groaned. âHe's a bad guy.â
Roy whined, âI know! When I realised it was his jewel, I torched the briefcase it was in along with the drugs that were in there! Who the hell puts drugs and rubies in the same briefcase?!â
âOh, no, Roy,â Y/n groaned in the same pitch as before. âBriefcase drugs?â
âMillions of dollars of them! Napier just found out it was me. Said I had to do a job for him to pay off my debt.â
âBut did you tell him you went straight? Did you tell him about Johnny?â Y/n asked desperately.
âI did. He said he didnât watch Hotel Transylvania.âÂ
âOh, this guy is the worst.â
âI know.â Royâs voice turned desperate and low. âL/n, he said he's gonna kill Lian if I don't do this job.â
Y/nâs eyes went wide and her mouth dropped open. âHe can't do that. I wonât let him do that. The GCPD can help you guys. We can put you in witness protection!â
Roy shook his head. âI canât mess up my daughterâs life âcause of my mistakes. That's why I'm here stealing this big âole bag of rubies; to make up for the one I stole. Y/n, you know how dangerous this guy can be.â He took a breath. âI need you to help me save my daughter.â
âHow can I help?â Y/n responded immediately.Â
âEasy. I have a plan that's good for everyone. All I need is for you to-â
â-let him go so he can arrange a drop with Napier.â Y/n explained Royâs plan to Tim. âWe arrest Napier, save Lian, Roy turns himself in, and why is that amazing, Tim?â
âNapierâs a huge crime boss,â Tim answered.
âAaaand what else?â
âGCPD's been trying to get Napier for years.â
âAnd?â
âThat's it.â
âYeah, it is.â Y/n said, âso, since we all agree, I'll go tell Roy the plan is on.â She swung around to go back inside, but Arnold stopped her.
âNo, we don't all agree. He's trapped and frantic. Everything he told you is a lie.â
âWhy do you say he's lying?â Y/n asked.
Arnold frowned. âThat's all negotiating is. Two liars lie until one liar stands too close to the window and gets shot in the head.â
Y/n scoffed loudly. âThat can't be all negotiating is!â She noticed Timâs head lolling to the side. âTimmy, I canât believe Iâm saying this, but have some more coffee.â
âIt absolutely is. Now, get in there and coax him to a window.â Arnold pressed a button on his walkie talkie. âSnipers to one. The window plan is on. I repeat: The window plan is on.â
âNo, no, no, no, no!â Y/n cried and tugged the walkie talkie away from Arnold. âSnipers to zero! Snipers take a nap. The nap plan is on. It's nap time, snipers!âÂ
A couple minutes later, Y/n regretfully told Roy, âESU won't take your deal. They think you're lying.â
âI'm not lying!â Roy gasped dramatically, offended. âI don't wanna be a criminal. I love my life as an average citizen. I voted for the first time this year! It was huge. Lian helped me fill in the little boxes. She chose Ed Breakfast for school board.â
âWho?â
âI don't know,â Roy muttered. âHe had a funny name. He deserves a shot.â
âThat's exactly why I voted for Stacy Ladle! Anyway, I'm sorry, but they're not cutting a deal.â
âSo that's it?â Roy sighed. âI gotta turn myself in and let Napier kill Lian? Youâll take care of her, right?â
Y/nâs heart broke and she could feel a plan formulating in her mind. âActually⊠there might be another way.â
âAlright, Todd.â Dick strutted in front of Jason. âWeâre gonna do this one time and one time only. Do you have feelings for Y/n?âÂ
âAre you shitting me?â Jasonâs head fell into his hands. He was strapped to a lie detector test that Steph was currently monitoring. âWeâre actually doing this?â
âYep!â Dick said. âWe have to know. Now, letâs go over the evidence.â
Damian wheeled in a large cork-board which was covered in index cards, push pins, and signature red string. The index cards said things like: âHalloween incident,â âValentineâs Day nicknames,â â1000 pushups blanket,â âgoogly eyes,â âlack of dates,â and more.
As Jason read over the cards, his face slowly got more and more red. Dick gleefully snapped a polaroid picture of Jasonâs current face and secured it to the board, adding it as another factor of evidence.Â
Roy shouted from the doorway of the jewellery store. âI've taken your negotiator hostage! If you come in here, I will shoot her.â
Y/n wailed, âjust do whatever he says! My life is in his hands! Please!âÂ
Roy slammed the door behind them and then broke out in giggles. âThat was so much fun!â
âOh, man, you sounded really scary.â Y/n exhaled.
âNo, no, it was all you. The tremble in your voice sold it. âJust do whatever he says.ââ Roy mimicked Y/nâs panicked voice
âI mean, I just made that up. Ah, I was so in the moment.â Y/n silently praised herself on her acting skills.
âDarling, seriously? You are a great hostage,â Roy complimented.
âAw, thanks, Harper. You're a great hostage-taker.â
Outside, Arnold was talking to Tim, lamenting, âI can't believe L/n got taken hostage. The good news is⊠I'm now the negotiator. Finally!â He slapped another marker labelled ânegotiatorâ on.Â
âCongratulations,â Tim said dryly.
âI've been waiting for this moment for so long!â Arnold exclaimed.
Royâs voice from the bullhorn cut him off. âI'm ready to negotiate. But I'll only talk to Tim Drake.â
âThat's me, Arnold.â Tim ripped Arnoldâs label off and placed it on himself.
âOh, come on!â
âWelcome, my man!â Roy waved to Tim when the latter entered the store. âI donât think weâve met before, have we? Iâm Y/nâs bestie. Iâm a hugger; bring it in.â He walked over to Tim with open arms.
Tim, however, yanked on one of those arms and looped it over Royâs head, effectively holding him in place. âRoy Harper, you're under arrest.â
âHoly fuck, Timâs strong?â Y/n mumbled. âBut heâs so lanky and only runs on coffee. Wait, Tim, stop.â
âWhat's going on?â Tim grunted as he tried to place cuffs on Roy.
âLook, this is not really a hostage situation. I mean, Pam and the two Bobs are definitely being held against their will, but not for much longer.â
Roy spoke up, trying to be helpful. âY/nâs helping me take down Napier.â
âWe can't do it without you,â Y/n pleaded.
âSeriously, L/n?â Tim scoffed. âIsnât this the guy that you and Cass tried to take down? The one you did a thousand push ups for?âÂ
âYou did a thousand push ups for me?â Roy cooed.Â
âNot important.âÂ
âThis is like that story my dad told me as a little kid. He used to quiz me on fables from different cultures.â Tim said, finally releasing Roy. âYou're the frog and he's a scorpion. You're gonna help him across the river. In the end, he'll sting you. And then you'll both drown.â
âGeez, that's dark.â Y/n grimaced.
âYeah, Iâd never tell Lian that story,â Roy said.
âMy parents didn't read to me at all,â Y/n commented. âI just watched cartoons âtill I fell asleep. Do you think that our childhoods shape the adults we become?â She hummed thoughtfully.
âThey do,â Roy and Tim said at the same time.
âAnd cartoons shaped you into a naive little frog,â Tim said.
âOkay, first off,â Y/n held up a finger. âLittle frogs are adorable, and second, he's not that kind of scorpion anymore.â
âI'm a changed bug,â Roy said.
âActually, scorpions are arthropods.â Tim and Y/n spoke together. Tim looked at her, surprised. âWhat?â She shrugged. âI listened to the documentary you made us watch. Tim, I know he used to be a criminal and has fooled me in the past, and yes, he is currently engaged in criminal activity.â
âInnocent until proven guilty,â Roy reminded Tim. âBut yes, I technically am robbing the store.â
âBut, Tim, his daughter is in danger and we have to help her. He agreed to turn himself in when this is all over. Right, Roy?â Y/n scrutinised him.
âI promise.â
Tim sighed. âCass warned me about him. But okay. What do you need from me?â
âWe have an airtight plan.â Roy grinned. He poked the bullhorn out of the door and shouted, âall we demand is pizza!â
âIâm in a relationship with Rose,â Jason insisted.
âYouâre not answering the question!â Dick exclaimed, growing more frustrated.Â
âThatâs because the question is stupid and doesnât need to be answered!â
âTodd, you must have lost half your brain if you think youâre fooling us.â Damian didnât look impressed.
âJason,â Steph exhaled. âBy not answering the question, youâre answering the question.â
âYeah, well, you donât make sense.â Jason shot back lamely.
âItâs okay to have feelings for L/n.â Steph said, oddly calmly. âYouâre not admitting defeat.â
âNo, Iâm aware, but justâŠâ he sighed heavily and stared down at the table. âWhat if she doesnât like me back?â
Steph slowly shut off the computer and the lie detector. Damian had a rare look of sympathy glazing over his eyes. âBut she does,â Dick said softly. âSheâs told all of us herself. Right, guys?â he asked his friends.Â
âIf I had a nickelâŠâ Steph smiled and huffed, trailing off.
âSheâs interrupted many movie nights with tangents of you,â Damian frowned at the fact. He had yet to finish The Gladiator because of Y/n.
âWe'll be safe here,â Roy directed Y/n towards a small, neon-lit shop. Tim had provided them a distraction long enough for Roy and Y/n to sneak away. Tim said he would meet with them later. âI know the owner. He'd never turn me in.â
âYeah,â Y/n nodded along knowingly. âI have the same relationship with the guy who runs this laser tag place I love. I- I mean, gun range.â
Roy chuckled. âL/n, whyâre you lying to me, huh? I love laser tag! We gotta go sometime, darling.â He led her inside the place and to a back room which had a large screen and a karaoke machine plugged in and ready to go.
Y/n beamed. âI was hoping you'd say that. Alright, let's text Napier and set up the drop.â
âOkay, yeah. âGot the diamonds. Let's meet.ââ He clicked his phone and the message was sent. âDone.â
âOkay, now we wait.â She clicked her tongue and hummed. âYou know, itâs kinda weird, sitting silently in a private karaoke room, not singing.â
âYeah, yeah,â he muttered. âBut we're on a mission, so, you know, we gotta stay focused.â
âTrue, true, true, true, true, true.â
âSo I wake in the morning and I step outside and I TAKE a deep breath and I GET! REAL! HIGH! And I scream at the top of my lungs âWHATâS GOINâ ON?ââ Roy sang in a falsetto as Y/n accompanied him in a lower tone.
In the middle of the song, Royâs phone dinged and he paused the song. âUgh. Itâs Napier.â
Y/n pouted in disappointment. âYeahâŠ.â
âThe drop is set for 5:00 p.m.â Roy informed her.Â
âLet's do this.â
âTotally. AlthoughâŠâ Roy shot Y/n a knowing look. âThat is an hour and a half from now.â
âAnd the drop point is actually pretty close to here,â Y/n added.
âSo..."
âDANCING QUEEN! YOUNG AND SWEET! ONLY SEVENTEEN OOOOOOOHâŠâ
Tim walked into the room and slowly sipped on his coffee, looking more tired than ever.
âI feel more sympathy for our perps now.â Jason ripped the lie detector off himself.Â
âCan you please just admit that at some point, past or present, youâve had feelings for Y/n L/n?â Dick begged. They had spent over three hours in the interrogation room, grilling Jason on his feelings and not getting any work done.
âIf it makes you let me go, then yes.âÂ
âIâll take it!â Steph cried. âItâs close enough!â
âI still say I couldâve made fine use out of a pair of pliers.â Damian glared at Jason. Jason couldnât help but shudder under his stare.Â
âTorture me all you want,â Jason said. âBut I donât like Y/n like that. Sheâs like a sister to me. Weâve worked together for over four years. I donât love her romantically.âÂ
If he had still been connected to the lie detector, its lines wouldâve jumped widely.
Steph said quietly, âjust know this: to remember is to love.â
Roy explained the plan to Tim and Y/n in the parking lot where Napier would meet them. âFirst, a jeweller will come out and inspect the rubies. Then, when he gives the okay, Napier will come and get them.â
âAnd then I'll take him down.â Y/n cracked her knuckles dramatically.
âHere we go,â Roy mumbled as an expensive car pulled up and a thin man got out. Harper, Drake, and L/n got out of Y/nâs old car and Roy greeted, âWhat's up, dude? Did anybody ever tell you that you look like the most interesting man in the world? You get that a lot?â After an awkward silence, Roy inhaled sharply. âGeez, I get it. We're not friends.â
The thin man held out his hand and Roy placed the sack of small rubies in it. The man inspected a random ruby and then nodded. Another man got out of the car and Roy said, âThere he is. Napier! What's up, Mr. Napier? Howâre you doing?â Napierâs car pulled away to give them some privacy.
âShut up.â Napier licked his lips. âGive me the rubies.â
A new voice shouted from the other end of the parking lot. âL/N!âÂ
Y/n cringed. âNo, no, no, not now.â
Arnold yelled out, âI tracked your phone, idiot. I knew you were working with this criminal! You were gonna double cross us!â
Y/nâs head whipped back to Napier, but he was already running down the street, phone pressed to his ear, likely calling his driver.
Arnold gasped. âThat's Napier. Harper wasnât lying. Well, we gotta arrest him!â Arnold grabbed Y/nâs vest and pulled her back.
âY/n, he's running!â Tim cried, already in pursuit of Napier.
âLemme go!â Y/n tried to yank away.
âOnly if I get the collar and one hundred percent of the credit.â Arnold growled.
âAre you negotiating right now?â
âAlways.â
âOkay, that was actually a really cool line. Deal. Letâs do it.â She pointed harshly at Roy. âStay. Here.â
âOkay.â Roy shrugged.
Y/n and Arnold ran off after Napier, catching up to Tim. âGCPD!â Tim shouted. âStop and put your hands in the air!â Napier continued running and Tim groaned. âWhy donât they ever listen?â
âDrake,â Y/n swerved towards another street. âIâll block him off!â
âNot without me, you wonât!â Arnold changed direction and sprinted after Y/n.Â
Napierâs eyes grew wide when he saw Y/n and Arnold appear ahead of him. He glanced over his shoulder and when he saw Tim, still in pursuit, he cried out in frustration. Y/n tackled him to the ground and threw handcuffs on him. After she was done Mirandizing him, she apologised to Arnold. âSorry I ran out on you at the jewellery store. But I couldn't let this guy get away.â
âLook, I'm fine with it.â Arnold said. âArresting Napierâs gonna get me a promotion and at the end of the day, that's what this is all about.â
Y/n squinted at him. âRight, that and getting a major drug lord off the streets.â
âYeah, right. I don't care about that.â
Y/n stared at him, wide-eyed before brushing him off. âWhatever. Let's bring in Roy Harper.â She left Napier with Tim and ran back to the parking lot. Finding it empty, she cried, âOh, fucking hell! Where is he? Roy? Roy?!â
Arnold saddled up behind her. âDon't worry. We'll get him. At least we have Napier and the rubies.â
Y/n simply shouted, âRoy!â
âWhy are you still calling for him?â
âROY!â
Arnold realised, âoh my God, he has the rubies, doesn't he?â
âRoy!â Y/n quickly composed her wits and muttered to herself, âI'm sure Harper didn't run off with the rubies. I bet he's looking for me right now. You know what, I bet he's worried that Iâm in trouble!â She frantically pulled out her phone. âI'll just call him and put his mind at ease.â
Arnold raised a brow. âLady, he's already gone.â He placed a hand on Y/nâs shoulder and Y/n pushed him off, giving him an icy glare. âHe's not gonna picking up.â Y/nâs jaw clenched at Arnoldâs words.
Suddenly, Royâs voice filtered through her phone and she breathed a sigh of relief. âWhat's up, L/n?â
âHa!â Y/n pointed a victorious finger at Arnold. âHe did pick up. In your-â
âThis is goodbye forever,â Roy cut her off.
âNo!â Y/n stomped her foot. âI can't believe you deceived me. I can't believe you used my love for Lian against me.â
âI love that you love her.â
âOf course I do! Sheâs the living embodiment of the reminder that childhood innocence never dies.â
âAmen,â he agreed. âBut, I wasn't lying though. Napier was gonna hurt her and you saved her life. Buuuut then I was all alone with the rubies and next thing I know, I'm hotwiring a car and driving away.
âBut I thought you liked being a good citizen? You voted Ed Breakfast for school board!â Y/n whined.Â
âAnd he immediately had a sex scandal.â Roy reminded her. âIt was very disillusioning.â
âUnderstandable. Our democracy is crumbling. But, Roy, this is not what weâre talking about. They could take my badge!âÂ
âTim was right.â Roy smiled faintly. âI'm a scorpion. I thought you knew me better by now. I'm sorry I can't be the man you want me to be.â
âDamn it, stop being so romantic.â Y/n choked on her words and begged, ânow turn around and come back to me, you fool?â The line clicked and she called, âhello? Hello? He's goneâŠ. He broke my heart.â Tim walked up behind her as her lip quivered theatrically. She turned towards her fellow detective and hugged him tightly. âNow you tell me everything's gonna be okay, Timmy boy!â
âEverything's gonna be okay,â Tim reassured monotonously.
âYou don't know that, Tim!â
âI just got off the phone with the brass,â Captain Wayne said to Y/n. âIt doesn't look good. They're still trying to decide on a punishment for your actions.â
Y/n sniffed and asked meekly, âDid you tell them I feel so bad I have a tummy ache?â
âI did. They were unaffected.â
âAre you sure itâs not cramps?â Jason pushed a box of chocolate towards his coworker. âIt is your time of the month.â
Y/n grimaced in disgust. âItâs creepy that you know that.â
âNot really,â Tim said. âYou, Steph, and Cass have all synced up. We all know when to have desserts in our desks.â
âI think even Kori is synced up to you guys,â Dick added. âSomehow.â
âSo no.â Damian spoke up. âIn this instance, Todd isnât creepy.â
Y/n looked up at Wayne as if to ask his opinion on this matter. All he said is, âI have no comment to add in this conversation. Back to the topic at hand, the brass said they couldâve justified your tactics if you'd gotten Napier and the rubies, but as things stand, there are no rubies.â He sighed and said, âyou're looking at a suspension, maybe worse. Unless you can track down Harper and recover those rubies.â
âCan they wait twelve months?â Y/n asked hopefully. âI usually run into him about once a year.â Her eyes caught on something on her desk. âWait a minute. What doth we have here?â
Y/n walked into the karaoke place and looked around hesitantly. âI've got this coupon for a private room?â
âYep,â a worker said. âRight this way. We already have a song cued up for you.â
The screen blinked on as soon as the worker left the room and a large picture of Roy Harper with Lian on his hip showed up.
Y/n shook her head and muttered, âHarper.â
âWhat's up, L/n?â the recording asked happily. âThank you so much for coming. So, I thought about it and I think I did you dirty. I never meant to cause you any trouble.â
âYeah, well, you caused me a lot.â Y/n kicked at something at her feet.
Roy chuckled and said, âyou're talking to a pre-recorded video, but it's cool. I know what you're saying. I hear you in my heart,â he said emphatically.
Y/n rolled her eyes. âWhat am I doing here?â she asked herself.
âI feel the same way,â the recorded Roy placed a hand to his heart. âYouâre my best friend too.â He nodded thoughtfully and said, âlook, I'm not coming back. We started a new life here in San Diego.â He jostled Lian who was giggling on his hip.
Y/n shook her head, grinning. âItâs stupid telling me where you are.â
âCome on, darling, Iâm not in damn San Diego.â Roy laughed loudly. âEverybody knows that place sucks! But, I got you a little something as a going away gift. It's on the table next to you.â
Y/n opened the small velvet sack and gasped. âThe rubies. Yes! I- I canât believe you actually brought them backâŠâ
âThe rubies!â Roy cried from the screen.
Y/n let out a lighthearted laugh. âYeah, you mistimed that one.â
âNo, you're the best. Look, even though I am a scorpion, I will never drown your adorable little frog ass. So that's all I gotta say.â He glanced down at Lian who was smiling happily, staring at something in the distance. âI'm sure I'll see you again at some point,â Roy said, his eyes softening. âBut for now, that coupon you got there, that's for a full hour in a private room. SoâŠâ
âOh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia, let me go! BeeLZEbub has a devil put aside for meeee⊠for meeee! For meEEEEEEEEEE!â Lian sang along as Roy and Y/n banged their heads to the music.

My heart's desire: you
(steddie | 1.7k | mature | written for @steddie-week day 3: holding me by Warlock | AO3)
Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence, Post-Season/Series 04, Eddie Munson as Kas the Betrayer (Dungeons & Dragons), Monster Eddie Munson, Protective Eddie Munson, Pining, Angst with a Happy Ending, Eddie Munson Needs a Hug
Eddie never expected much from life, if he was honest.
Sure, once upon a time he had dreams. Big ones. Go to LA, become a rock star, leave this shithole of a town behind. Find his people, a place where he belonged. Not a freak, but someone worthy.
Deep down he didn't really believe they would come true - not for people like him - but it was nice to have them. They helped him fall asleep at night and even more to get up in the morning.
All those dreams bit the dust when he did. The dead don't dream, right?
Right.
It's just that he's not exactly dead. But he's not alive either. So what does that mean for his dreams?
He doesn't sleep anymore. Doesn't need to. Sometimes he manages to drift, his body completely still while his mind is somewhere else.
But when that happens, he's not dreaming. He just remembers.
Remembers his mama and how she used to dance around the house with him to Elvis or Roy Orbison. Blue Bayou was her favorite.
Remembers his father's pale face as he left Eddie behind, running from the law while Eddie stayed behind to take the fall, just because he couldn't let a cop bleed to death because of his father's schemes.
Remembers Wayne, his gruff voice and warm hugs. His unconditional love and unwavering support. The one person who always believed in him, who gave him a home and a family when Eddie had nothing.
Remembers practicing his songs with the boys and endless afternoons filled with music and campaigns and laughter. His own little corner of the world where he was free to be himself, loud and unapologetic.
Remembers Dustin and Mike and Lucas and Erica. Red and Buckley and Wheeler. Their fierce determination, their selflessness, their love for one another. He had been helpless but to join them, even when everything inside him screamed to run, to hide, to never look back.
Most of the time, though, he remembers Steve. Which should be weird, since they only spent a week together, him running from an angry mob, Steve helping him while also trying to save the world. Sure, he remembers the looks they shared, the touches, the pet names, and the flirting. But it was stolen time, stolen moments without real substance - the reckless abundance of someone who never expected to make it out alive.
He didn't. And yet here he stands, hidden among the trees surrounding the Harrington estate, watching Steve through the windows of his kitchen as he makes himself a sandwich.
It's not the first night he's spent like this, and it won't be the last.
Ever since he clawed his way out of the Upside Down, he's been watching over them. His friends, he thinks. They had been his friends. When he was still human. Can you still have friends when you're not alive, or are they like dreams, out of reach when your skin grows cold and your lungs stop breathing?
He doesn't know. All he knows is that when he came back different, wrong, he still had his memories. He remembers the love and affection he once had for them. That's why he watches over them, he tells himself. Because he had loved them once.
A few months ago, when the portals to the Upside Down were wide open, everyone had gathered here at Steve's, so Eddie had been there, too. Not inside the house, of course, but watching. Guarding it.
Not being alive makes him almost invincible. He has claws on his hands and fangs in his mouth. He's faster and stronger than ever. Any monster that tried to sneak up on them was killed in seconds, a few minutes at most. Soon they didn't even try anymore.
It's as if they somehow know that Eddie is the strongest predator around, and that these humans are his.
They defeated Vecna in the end, closing the gates once and for all.
And Eddie is still here. Still not alive.
Still watching over Steve, with the full moon above him and the warm late summer wind blowing through his hair. The clouds covering the moon provide enough cover for him to come closer, still hidden in the darkness as he continues to watch.
Time feels strange sometimes, but he thinks he has been watching Steve for as long as he can remember.
A lonely boy with strawberry blond hair, waiting to be picked up from preschool long after everyone else has left. A gangly teenager on his first day of middle school, looking lost and alone again. The same boy, taller now, finally filling out his form, sun-kissed skin and windswept hair. Popular, attractive, but still lonely deep inside.
The Eddie he had once been had been intrigued by Steve Harrington. The boy had been an enigma, even more so when Dustin and Lucas, and sometimes even Mike, sang his praises as if he were their greatest hero. And then he had seen again and again how badass Steve was, how brave and self-sacrificing. How much he was willing to give for the people he considered his own.
Back when his heart was still beating, it had been beating for Steve. Can you still love someone when your heart is no longer beating?
Eddie doesn't have an answer to that question. All he knows is that the sight of Steve brings a warmth he can almost feel, a flicker of something that might have been hope if he still had the capacity for it. And for now, that flicker is enough to keep him watching, night after night, hidden in the shadows.
Tonight, however, something feels different. Eddie watches as Steve steps out of the kitchen, his eyes scanning the darkness, almost as if he senses a presence. Eddie tenses, ready to retreat further into the shadows, but something holds him back.
Steve takes a few hesitant steps towards the edge of the property, his gaze unwavering. "I know you're out there," he calls softly, his voice carrying a blend of fear and determination. "I don't know who or what you are, but I know you're watching."
Eddie's breath catchesâor it would have, if he still breathed. He remains still, his eyes fixed on Steve, who continues to inch closer. The moonlight breaks through the clouds, casting a silver glow over the yard, and Steve's eyes widen as they meet Eddie's.
"Eddie?" Steve whispers, disbelief and something else, something Eddie canât place, coloring his tone. "Is that really you?"
For a moment, Eddie considers fleeing. Every fiber of his being screams at him to retreat into the safety of the shadows. To hide his monstrous self. But the look in Steve's eyes, the raw mixture of hope and sorrow, roots him to the spot. He steps forward, emerging from the shadows, his form illuminated by the moonlight. "Hello, Steve," he replies, his voice rough from disuse. "I'm... different now, so you be the judge if it's still me."
Steve stares, taking in Eddie's altered appearanceâthe fangs, the claws, the otherworldly aura. Yet, despite the changes, there's something unmistakably Eddie in his eyes. "How?" Steve asks, his voice breaking. "How is this possible?"
Eddie shakes his head. "I don't know. I woke up in the Upside Down after you all left, not alive but not dead either and clawed my way outta there. I've been watching over you, all of you, ever since."
Steve takes another step closer, his hand reaching out tentatively. "But⊠Why didn't you come to us? We thought you were gone. I - We missed you. Dustin -"
"I didn't know if you'd accept me like this," Eddie admits, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm not the same person I was. Iâm a monster now."
Steve's hand finally makes contact with Eddie's arm, and the touch sends a jolt through both of them. Eddie's skin, cold and unfeeling for so long, seems to come alive under Steve's touch. The sensation is overwhelming, flooding him with emotions he thought he'd lost. "You're still Eddie," Steve says firmly. "And that's all that matters."
For the first time since his transformation, Eddie feels something akin to hope. Maybe, just maybe, he can find a new place in this world, even in his altered state. And maybe, just maybe, he doesn't have to watch from the shadows anymore.
As they stand there, bathed in moonlight and the warmth of newfound connection, Eddie allows himself to believe that he can still be part of something, that he can still matter. And for the first time in a long time, he feels a glimmer of peace.
But more than peace, he feels a longing, a deep-seated yearning that he can no longer ignore. The way Steve looks at him, with such trust and acceptance, stirs something inside Eddie that he thought was long dead. He realizes that he's not just watching over Steve out of a sense of duty or lost affection; he's watching because he still loves him, with a love that doesnât need a beating heart to stay alive.
"Eddie," Steve whispers again, his voice softer now, filled with an emotion that Eddie can't quite name but feels deep in his bones. "Stay with me. Don't disappear again."
Eddie's heart, or whatever remains of it, aches at Steve's words. He wants nothing more than to stay, to be close to Steve, to feel that warmth he's been yearning for. Heâs been so cold for so long. "I'll stay," Eddie promises, his voice trembling with emotion. "For as long as you'll have me."
Steve's eyes shine with unshed tears as he pulls Eddie into a hug, their bodies fitting together as if they were always meant to. In that embrace, Eddie feels more alive than he has since he died.
And so, under the silver light of the moon, Eddie and Steve stand together, holding onto each other with a love that defies the boundaries of life and death. For the first time, Eddie dares to believe in a future where he doesn't have to hide in the shadows, where he can be with the person he loves, and where he can finally find a place to belong.
As long as Steve is willing to hold him like that, he doesn't need to be alive. All he needs is to be here in Steveâs arms.

Happy Birthday
âSurprise!â
A knife was in Jasonâs hand in the heartbeat it took for the lights to flicker on. His eyes darted from laughing face to smiling face until he had checked over everyone in the room- all in the time it took to drop his bag and raise his knife-wielding arm.Â
Bruce was hovering like an uncomfortable shadow behind Damian and Tim, Stephanie lounged on his kitchen counter like a heathen with Cass predictably at her side, Alfred was filming with a gently scuffed phone, Kori and Roy were blowing party horns, Babs was even next to Tim, and Dick was of course at the center of it all. All in all, Jason was now faced with ten unwanted guests in his home. Go fucking figure.Â
Dick was the one to step forward, wasnât he always?, still grinning like a fool as he gently took the knife from him, âTook you long enough to show up, Little Wing,â the acrobat wrapped an arm around the larger manâs shoulders, âFigures youâd be late to your own party.â
Jasonâs tongue felt leaden as he took in the red streamers hung from his rafters and the large Happy Birthday spelled in silver balloons. His hands felt clammy and he itched for the knife now safely tucked in his brotherâs pocket. Unconsciously, his fingers curled into fists as he croakily said, âDidnât âspect an ambush, Dickie.â
Dick tutted like Jason had just said he didnât expect the sky to be blue, âCâmon, Jaybird, you know better than that.â He did, he truly did, but he didn't expect something for today of all days.
Roy stepped forward, grinning like a fucking idiot in a way that made Jasonâs chest tighten, and pulled him into a bro-hug, âHappy birthday,â the archerâs grip tightened, and his voice lowered as he continued, âStar and I can blow this bitch to hell if you want to get out.â
Jason, while not religious, was ready to thank whatever higher power was out there that he had Roy and Kori in his life. Jason forced air back into his lungs and squeezed his fellow Outlaw, âIâll be okay. They need this,â he patted the redheadâs back, a clear signal for get the fuck off me before I stab you, and accepted the armful of Tamaranean princess.
Kori, ever the least subtle of her teammates, gleefully exclaimed, âHappiest of birthdays, dear one.â She lifted them both off the ground and squeezed hard enough to make something in Jasonâs chest creak, âI have informed the Bats that I will burn them if they donât behave,â she pulled away enough for Jason to see her eyes glowing a fiery green despite her large smile, âand I have brought a present!â
Jason huffed a half laugh as he was lowered back down. Tim offered him an odd sort of half-hug that was followed by Damian's frankly ridiculous handshake. Dick tried to snag him in one of his nightmare hugs of doom, but Roy distracted him with some gossip about the old Titans. Stephanie fully attempted to spear tackle him (fortunately missing), and Cass managed to pin his arms for a hug. Babs simply gave him a stern look, and he was forced into a squatted embrace. He and Bruce just exchanged nods.Â
But Alfred, Jason let himself be tugged into the old manâs gentle embrace, and he was immediately reminded of better days. Back when every single breath didnât hurt, back when he could see an action movie without being tossed into fight or flight, back when he could work on a car without having a panic attack, back before he ruined everything.
Jason sniffed a little as he pulled away, blinking hard to push back tears that physically would never appear. He sat down at the table, tolerating the half-noogie Dick tried to give him before Kori nailed him with a star bolt, sending him staggering back a few steps. His smile turned genuine for a few seconds, right up until the cake came out.Â
There was a large 20 emblazoned across the top in chunky red letters.
That canât be right. He felt his face fall in real-time as he stared at the burning candles.
He wasnât twenty.Â
He had died when he was fifteen, four months before his sixteenth birthday. He came back in October, but he was catatonic for almost two years.Â
He wasnât twenty.
He hadnât aged when he was dead. He hadnât really aged when he was walking around brain-dead. Right up until they dunked him in the pit, the lights were on, but no one was home.Â
A dead boy canât age, right?
He wasnât twenty- he didnât even have a driverâs license.Â
The candles on the cake burned all the way into the icing before he was aware again. Roy was on one side, Kori on the other, as they tried to pull him out of the darkness in his own mind. He loved them both so much it made his chest ache. Jasonâs eyes flickered between the other faces at the table, and blurs of memories, shadows, and nightmares looked back at him.
He wasnât twenty- he couldnât be.
The world shattered around him in a ghoulish kaleidoscope of greens and reds, fire and blood reaching out and pulling him under. He never turned sixteen, he never turned seventeen, he never turned eighteen, he never turned nineteen- he couldnât be turning twenty.
The monsters around his table lurched forward in a horrifying swirl of colors that made bile rise up his throat. The hand on his left arm was gently shaking him, but he was beyond that. Jason couldn't breathe there was fucking laughter coming from somewhere and he was scared-
Jason squeezed his eyes shut and bit firmly down on his tongue, trying desperately to regulate his breathing and heart rate. Blood filled his mouth as he shot up from his chair- Iâm alive, Iâm okay, Iâm alive- His hands reached out for Kori and Roy, but they came up empty.
His eyes shot open-

CEO!Jason Todd
Jason was stressed. He had just left a meeting and there he discovered that he lost shares because of Roy. The big hands ran furiously through his black hair.
"I'm going to kill, Harper..." he muttered to himself as he stood in his office.
He got up and went towards the table where there were some expensive whiskeys and burbons. He poured some neat whiskey into a crystal tumbler and loosened his tie.
Jason sat on the large black leather sofa and his mind began to wander in thoughts. You. He started thinking about you and how you calm him, how he calms himself when have his mouth between your legs.
He felt his cock swell in his pants at the thought of the beautiful sounds you make when he runs his tongue hungrily across your wet folds. He ran his hands through his hair again and drank some more whiskey.
This is no time to get an erection.
His desk phone rings. "Mister Todd. Your fiancée, Yn is here. Can she get in?"
As soon as Jason heard your name, he let out a small growl. It seems that God heard him and sent you to him. He walked to his desk and pressed the button to answer the secretary.
"Let her in. Now." He said in the powerful, heavy voice of a man in need.
It didn't take long for Jason to hear small knocks on the door. He basically ran to your door and gave you a happy, hungry smile when he saw you.
"Hey, Jace. I-" You started to speak but Jason pulled you inside and locked the door right after.
Before you could start talking again he pulled you into a needless kiss. His tongue dancing next to yours and the taste of whiskey on the tip of his tongue made you whimper in his arms.
Breathless, he placed his forehead against yours. "What... What happened to you?"
You asked, your voice low and struggling to breathe properly. Jason's hands squeezed your hips tightly.
"I need you." His voice was hoarse with desire.
"Calm down, tiger." You gave a cute giggle that made Jason's dick throb even more. "I came to bring you a gift and you attack me like that? Where are your manners, Mr. Todd?"
Jason let out a growl and pulled away from you a little. So he can see, you really had something on your hands. A Black box with a red bow.
"Can I see this later? I really need you, doll." His voice was sweet and seductive. You gave a smile.
"Noup." You pulled out of his grip on your hip and walked over to his desk and placed the box there. "You will see my gift first."
Jason shook his head and laughed. Stubborn little girl, that was you and he loved that. He walked over to you and as he walked over to you, you could notice Jason's big cock marking his pants. Your pussy clenched into emptiness. No, the gift first. so you thought.
"What did my pretty girl bring to me? huh?" Jason smiled "Whatever it is, I'll reward you for it" he took the box in his hands
"I don't need rewards for giving you gifts Jason... I don't like receiving your expensive things-" Jason interrupted you
"That's not the kind of reward I'm talking about, doll" His voice gave you goosebumps and you got red. You understood what he meant. "Can I open it?" he raised an eyebrow and shook the box in his hands.
"Yes, sir." You bit your lip.
Jason opened the box and inside was a box of cookies you made (they're his favorite) and a picture frame with a photo of the two of you together on a trip he took you to Paris. In the photo you are hugging him tightly as he takes a selfie of the two of you, Jason's lips were curved in a happy smile and your cheeks were rosy, and of course, the Eiffel tower in the background.
Fuck. Jason sometimes felt like he was perverting you. You are such a cute girl who gives cute gifts, and he is a tough and perverted guy that wants to give you expensive gifts that he will tear after.
"Did you liked it?..." You asked apprehensively. Jason then realized he took too long to respond.
"I love it" Jason gave an irresistible smile, he took the picture frame and placed it on his desk. "My pretty girl, you want me to see you all the time? huh?" he said in a teasing tone and walked closer to you, he pulled you towards him and your chests collided.
"What?... No... I mean..." You fumbled for words. With every innocent blink of his eyelashes, Jason held back a growl. he wants you, now.
"Take off your clothes." he said in a commanding voice. Oh, he's going to be that Jason. "Nevermind. I will fuck you in this dress."
Your cheeks turned red. You were wearing a black dress that reached halfway up your thighs.
Jason picked you up by your thighs and laid you down on the large sofa.
"Jace..." You sigh when you feel his kisses on your inner thigh.
"I need you. will you be good to me? huh?" he pressed a kiss to your panty covered wetness. "Will you be a good girl for me?"
You whimpered and nodded.
"Words, princess. I want words..." He looked at you with his ice blue eyes, his pupils dilated with lust.
"Ye..." Jason ran his tongue across ypur clothed clit "hmm yes! Yes, Jace! I will-oh be a good girl for yo- uh"
Jason smiled as he saw you squirm with just a few touches. It's always been like this since the day he perverted you. The virgin girl who had never been touched. He feels honored to be your only man, and he intends to be that way, the engagement ring with the big stone on your finger said a lot about that.
Jason took off your panties and put them in his pants pocket. First he ran his nose over your intimacy. Fuck, he loves your smell.
Jason began to eat you with his mouth like a hungry man. The wet sounds made you squeeze around out of nothing. Your whimpers were music to Jason's ear.
"Does my pretty girl like these dirty sounds? huh? Do you like it when I do it like this?" He said looking at you through his eyelashes. He just stuck a finger in your pussy and you automatically pressed yourself against him. "Fuckkk. You're squeezing yourself like that with just one finger, I can't wait to be my cock. Youâre going to milk me so well.â
you loved how much Jason talked dirty to you. He knows that. Jason returned his tongue to her clitoris and his finger moving back and forth inside her.
"Hmmm can you take another one, babe?" He asked with his mouth on your clit sending vibrations into you.
You were feeling your climax close. You nodded and agreed with a groan. Jason put another finger in you and bent them to hit your G-spot. You trembled.
"C-close, I'm so- uh, so close" You groaned, your eyes rolling back and your legs shaking. Jason smiled and sucked you with more pressure.
"Come on my fingers, do a mess, princess"
It was like a switch. you exploded into Jasonâs fingers, clenching even tighter. Jason rubbed his big erection on the couch. he needs you.
"That's my girl... my good girl..." Jason smiles and kisses the inside of your still-trembling thigh. "You okay, awnser me, princess"
"Yes, Jace... I'm okay" You replied with your eyes closed. Jason climbed on top of you and he started placing kisses on your face and you laughed.
"Open those beautiful eyes for me, doll" he said smiling and you opened your eyes. "There she is. You know I'm not done with you, right?"
"Yes..." You smiled.
"Let's go home? Can you walk or are your legs still shaking?" He sat down and pulled you onto his lap. "I wasn't hard on you, was I?"
"No, Jay. you were perfect as always" you hid your face in his neck "can we wait a bit? My legs are still shaking and my vision is still blurry"
"Of course, my angel" Jason kissed your shoulder with a smile.
This had just begun.
I want this man for me đ«

It's Flawless, Really Something
Roy Kent x Teacher!Reader
Warnings: Language, flirting, a pervy parent, non-academic activities in the classroom
2.6k words
Teach Me Tonight Masterlist
âDid you save me that biscuit?â
Roy Kent leaned forward, hands on the plastic table, and smiled at you. His eyes were bright, and his black leather jacket hugged him deliciously; he was perfect, you thought. Stupidly, ridiculously, wonderfully perfect.
âOnly if youâve got exact change,â you managed to joke, holding out your outstretched hand.
Roy looked surprised at your teasing reply. Surprised, but also pleased. After your talk with Leanne, youâd made the terrifying decision that you were going to flirt with Roy Kent. You liked him, you knew that much. He clearly liked you, at least a little. And if he was ever going to ask him out, he, like any other man, needed a little encouragement.
With a content chuckle, the coach reached into his pocket and pulled out a couple of quid, definitely more than the cost of one chocolate chip cookie. He pressed the money into your hand, curling your fingers into a fist as his warm grip lingered.
Despite your immediately wavering bravery, you held his gaze, not caring that he could probably see the way you gulped at his touch. âThatâs a little too much, Coach,â you hummed.
âConsider the rest a tip,â he answered, giving your hand a squeeze before letting go. âFor exemplary service.â He tilted his head at you. âHow longâre you here for? Do they let you take a break, or do I need to call the union?â
âMaybe another half hour and then Iâm pretty much done.â You smiled, not caring that there were students, and parents, and other teachers flittering around. âWhy? You want to buy me a lemonade or something?â
He shrugged and picked up a chocolate chip cookie. âOr something,â he echoed with a wink. âHave fun.â
You watched unabashedly as he walked away, to where his sister and Phoebe were waiting for him. He handed the cookie to a bouncy Phoebe, while his sister waggled her eyebrows at him. Roy gave his sister a shove before glancing back at you, his smile widening when he caught you staring.
As you were wondering whether Leanne would kill you if you left her alone, Mrs. Seling rushed over mischief all over her face.
âTeresaâs dog got sick,â she said in place of a greeting. âWe need someone in the dunk tank, just for twenty minutes until itâs Mrs. Halpernâs turn. Can you do it?â
Shit. The damn dunk tank. Every year, teachers brokered deals and offered bribes to avoid having a shift on the stupid thing, treating it like the torture chamber it was. The water was gross and weirdly warm. The air was freezing cold when you were soaked. Students lined up in droves to try to dunk their teacher into the water, and, worse, dads lined up to see the results.
Of course, Lee chose that moment to absolutely betray you and busy herself with selling brownies to a studentâs grandmother, leaving you only able to smile weakly at Karen and mumble, âI guess.â
So, there you sat, hating the fact that youâd chosen today to wear a light-colored shirt to go with your jeans, but thankful for the fact that your students had terrible aim. Phoebe OâSullivan stood among the gaggle of children who were desperate to see you fall into the tub of water that you tried not to think too hard about; her uncle stood not far, eyebrows raised in amusement, trying not to think too hard about how youâd look once you got dunked.
Normally, Roy thought of you as cute, pretty, adorable. An absolute distraction. But the thought of you in a soaked shirt, material clinging to your body⊠fuck, he needed to get his thoughts under control. After all, he hadnât asked you out yet, hadnât kissed you yet. But fucking hell, his mind was racing as he tried not to turn into a teenage boy with fantasies of a beautiful teacher in a wet t-shirt.
âUncle Roy, you should try!â
Phoebeâs little voice dragged him out of his increasingly adult thoughts. âHmm?â He stared at the ball in his nieceâs outstretched hand, quickly comprehending what sheâd just said. âOh. Sure.â
He stepped up after watching one of Phoebeâs classmates throw a very wild pitch. Your eyes found his, carrying a mixture of amusement and embarrassment. He knew he could hit that stupid red target; he was a retired athlete, after all. A flick of his wrist, and youâd be soaked from head to toe.
But he saw the way Jack Priceâs dad was leering at you, the way that fucker always did when his wife wasnât around. And he felt that tightness in his chest again, the tightness heâd had that day at the zoo when he watched that skeeze put his hand on your shoulder. No way was Roy going to let slime see his personal fantasy.
Besides, youâd probably appreciate Roy not dunking you, right? Itâd be rather gentlemanly. And you seemed like the type that wanted a gentleman. And Roy wanted to be what you wanted.
So, he gently tossed the ball, shrugging at you when it hit the backboard instead of the target.
âThank you,â you mouthed, warming away that tightness in his chest. The relief and gratitude on your face was worth looking like he couldnât throw a damn ball, as well as the fifty pence the ball had cost.
As he pondered how he could leverage his chivalrous gesture to finally ask you on a date, someone tapped his shoulder.
Jack Priceâs dad smiled at him, that stupid, sharkish smile, tossing a ball up and down. âGuess youâre not as good at pitching as kicking, hmm?â he joked, as if they were the kind of people who joked with each other. âWatch and learn.â
Your gasp was sharp as you felt the bench disappear from under you and were instantly underwater. Dammit. Youâd almost made it the full twenty minutes dry as a bone. Fucking Mr. Price and his fucking cricket hobby. You came back up rapidly, cheeks burning as the kids cheered on the sight of seeing their beloved teacher soaked.
To add insult to injury, Mrs. Halpern stood beside the dunk tank, ready to take your place. You clambered out of the dunk tank, shivering in the approaching evening air. All you wanted to do now was go home, shower, and put on your warmest pajamas. Never mind letting Roy Kent buy you a lemonade. You were cold, wet, and, admittedly, a little embarrassed by the way your shirt clung to your skin.
But you grabbed your things and put on that fake smile for your students who giggled over your misfortune and tried to make a speedy exit. Unfortunately, Mr. Price slowed down your plans.
âNo hard feelings, right?â he hummed, eyes everywhere but your face. âItâs for a good cause, after all.â
Instinctively, you crossed your arms, attempting to hide as much as you could. âOf course,â you murmured, making a pathetic attempt to sidestep him.
He blocked your path, eyeing your figure. âNeed help with those wet clothes?â he whispered as his hand landed on your shoulder, the way it had at the zoo.
âOi.â
As you shrugged off Mr. Priceâs hand, Roy Kent approached, peeling off his leather jacket. âYou must be fucking cold,â he mumbled. Pointedly ignoring Jackâs dad, he wrapped the jacket around your shoulders. âHow about that lemonade?â
âThanks,â you sighed as Mr. Price scampered away. âBut I should probably head home. Need a shower after being in that thing.â As you spoke, you did your best to ignore the feeling of Roy Kentâs jacket hugging you, enveloping you in the scent of whatever wonderful cologne he was wearing, a cologne heâd picked out in the hopes of bumping into you today.
âSorry the jacketâs not more comfortable,â he grumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. âBut you can just give it back to me Monday. Keep you warm on your way home.â
You shook your head. âI have a sweatshirt in my classroom. I can just throw that on.â Seeing the slight disappointment in his brown eyes, you swayed forward slightly, batting your eyes at him- something you werenât sure youâd ever done. âWalk me to my classroom?â
There was that smile. That fucking smile, the one that was bright enough to make you forget Roy Kentâs infamous rage, the perfect smile you wanted to kiss right off his bearded face. He kept on smiling as the two of you slipped away from the fall festival.
He liked seeing you in his jacket. It was just big enough to look cozy wrapped around your shoulders, and he cherished the way you tugged it tightly around yourself. Admittedly, he was a big jealous of the way his jacket got to be wrapped around you. He wondered if it would smell like you when he got it back; probably like the dunk tank water, unfortunately. Maybe he could offer it to you again sometime. Maybe even after a date.
You quickly unlocked your classroom and led Roy in, trying not to flinch when you heard the door close, silencing the already distant sounds of the festival. Neither of you bothered with the lights, instead letting the last of the sun softly illuminate the classroom. Roy followed you to your desk, wondering if you wanted him to leave or stay, and hoping beyond hope that it was the latter.
âOh, here.â You slipped off his jacket and handed it to him. âThanks again, Coach. Very chivalrous of you.â Your smile was probably the most confident heâd seen, playful and teasing. It was probably his favorite smile.
âAny fucking time,â he breathed. He was fighting so fucking hard not to stare at you. He knew he wasnât a married dad like Mr. Price or the others, and he was pretty sure you liked the way he stared at you- but still. He didnât want to be grouped with them, a creep who ogled you like a piece of meat.
But fuck, you were making it hard. That shirt clung to you like it wanted you even more than Roy did, flaunting the body you usually covered with cute dresses and jean jackets- a body Roy really liked. You pulled your dripping hair up in a clip you found on your desk, exposing a neck that Roy was sure would look great with a few marks on it. And you gazed up at him with wide eyes and parted lips, as if you were going to ask him a question.
He cleared his throat. âYou headinâ home after you grab your sweater?â
You nodded absently. âProbably.â You took a tiny step back, hitting the edge of your desk. âYou sticking around?â
âYeah. Yeah, Iâm with, uh, my sister and Pheebs.â Despite his best efforts, his eyes wandered. Fuck. âSorry,â he muttered, wincing when he realized how obvious it was; he might as well be drooling.
You cocked your head at him. âFor what?â
He shook his head, ears burning with shame and, if he was being really honest, desire. âFor fuckingâŠ. Staring.â He made himself look you in the eye, which was somehow worse. ââm sorry.â
To his surprise, you smiled. âDonât be. I⊠I like it when you stare.â
âDo you?â His voice was quiet, as if he thought being any louder would scare you off. âWhy?â
You shrugged and hopped up onto your desk. âBecause itâs you,â you said simply. Feeling dizzy from the way Roy looked at you, you reached out and touched his hand, grazing his skin with the tip of your finger. âYouâre⊠youâre the kind of guy a girl likes to have staring.â
There it was. Since the first day of school, when he saw you in your little white sneakers and jean jacket, heâd been waiting for a clear sign that you were just as infatuated as he felt. And now, in your dark classroom, with your eyebrows raised and your hand on his and your lip caught between your teeth, Roy finally had his fucking sign.
He took a step forward and settled himself between your knees. Watching you carefully, he put his hands on your waist, digging his fingers into the soaking material of your shirt. You tilted your face towards him, finally giving him permission to do the one thing heâd been desperate to do since the moment you met.
Your lips were soft, even softer than Roy had let himself imagine. He had often wondered what kind of ChapStick he watched you apply on warm afternoons; cherry, he realized. Fucking cherry. For the rest of his life, he knew, whenever he tasted cherry, heâd be thrown back to this moment, kissing the pretty teacher in her classroom, amazed that someone so sweet would kiss someone so fucking miserable.
And kiss him you did. You brought your hands to the back of his head, pressing your chest flush against his. His hands fisted at your shirt, tugging it up a little so his fingertips could brush over your soft skin, still wet from the dunk tank, but quickly heating up as you deepened the kiss. Roy let you take the lead; he waited until your lips parted to open his own mouth, and your tongue was the first one to tentatively flick against his. Â
He groaned softly into your mouth and let one hand cup your face, thumb caressing your heated cheek. He could get used to this, Roy thought. Used to your cherry-flavored kisses and hands in his hair and body pressed against his, and used to your sweet smiles and shy giggles and bright eyes. He wondered briefly what other things he could look forward to getting used to.
âWe,â you huffed into the kiss. âWe should go before-â Your breath hitched as Royâs mouth wandered to your jaw. â-before someone sees us.â
He sighed against your skin. You were right. Roy knew you were fucking right. This was a school. You were in your classroom. As exciting and tempting as it was to keep going, he needed to respect that. After harshly pressing his lips to yours one more time, he pulled back.
âLet me take you out,â he all but begged. âOn a fucking proper date.â
Your smile was brilliant. âThat would be lovely, Coach.â
He let out a breathy chuckle, the hand on your waist giving you a gentle squeeze. âI think you can call me Roy now.â
âRight.â You giggled, that adorable bashfulness returning, somehow even more endearing now. âThat would be lovely, Roy.â
Fucking hell, his name sounded good coming out of your mouth. It sounded so good he couldnât help pulling you in for another kiss, a slow, tender one.
âAny chance youâre free tonight?â he breathed.
You nodded. âI just need to go home. Shower away the dunk tank.â
Roy did his best not to let his mind wander to that shower. âRight. Right.â He cleared his throat. âAnd Iâve got to drop my sister and Phoebe at home. Think I could come around at eight?â He kissed your jaw. âWe could go get a drink. I can stare at you some more.â
âSounds perfect.â With a teasing shove to Royâs chest, you hopped down from the desk and grabbed your sweatshirt from where it hung over your chair, quickly pulling it over your head.
The two of you ambled out of the classroom wearing matching grins and blushes. It was a good thing your classroom was clear across campus from the festival, because it was painfully obvious that the two of you had just been pawing at each other.
âBe ready at eight,â Roy hummed, intertwining his fingers with yours. âAnd get ready to be stared at all night.â
âLooking forward to it.â You leaned forward and kissed his lips quickly. âSee you in a bit, Coach.â
Roy growled at you, a playful, sexy sound.
Your laugh warmed his chest. âRoy,â you corrected as you squeezed his hand. âSee you in a bit Roy.â

Normal People
Lukas Matsson x (fem)Reader, Roman Roy x (fem)Reader
word count: 3k -Â read on Ao3 here!
NFSW: 18+ ONLY
You first met him at Kendallâs birthday party.
Roman was being obnoxious. All he could talk about was finding Lukas Matsson. He and Shiv were relentless in their pursuit of the man. It was all business, no pleasure tonight. So while Roman and Shiv stood with their heads together, compulsively sipping vodka tonics, you slipped away unnoticed to try and have some fun before the night was over.
You found your way upstairs, where for some inexplicable reason Kendall had built a replica of his childhood treehouse. The inside was bustling with people yet the two buff men outside wouldnât let you enter without an armband. Dejected, you started to turn away, when you heard Kendallâs voice from above.
âHey! Let her through, sheâs cool!â
He was pointing right at you with a grin. The guards moved aside, letting you in.
Upstairs, Kendall greeted you with a hug.
âNice treehouse,â you said.
âThanks. Itâs pretty infantile, right? Sort of the vibe I was going for.â
âDefinitely. You nailed it.â
âHey, I need a favor while youâre here. See that guy over there?â
He nodded over his shoulder to a tall blonde Scandinavian-looking man slouching alone in a plush leather chair.
âWho is that?â
âThatâs Lukas Matsson. Heâs pretty disgruntled and I need someone to keep him from wandering. I canât do it anymore, I need to mingle. Also, Roman cannot know heâs here.â
âRomanâs entire purpose in life tonight is to find that guy.â
âPlease donât tell him heâs here. Iâll owe you one. Seriously.
âDonât worry. Romanâs driving me fucking crazy at the moment.â
âAmazing. Youâre amazing. Let me get you a drink and Iâll introduce you.â
Kendall stepped away. You glanced curiously in Lukasâs direction. He glanced up from his phone, met your eyes, and did a double take. He stared at you for a long moment across the room.
Kendall returned with your drink, breaking your gaze.
âLetâs go. Youâre about to meet one of the weirdest rich guys out there.â
Drinks in hand, you approached the man. He kept his eyes fixed on yours.
âYo, Lukas. Meet my good friend Y/N. I promise sheâs not going to network you to death.â
Kendall clapped him on the shoulder.
âYou guys have fun.â
You thought you saw Kendall wink, but it was too quick, and then he was gone.
âKendall thinks I need a babysitter tonight,â Lukas said. âToo many sharks in the water.â
âThankfully I donât have any interest in what Kendall and his family does. Iâm just along for the ride.â
âWhat do you do?â
âIâm a writer.â
âWhat do you write?â
âWords, mostly.â
Lukas cracked the smallest grin.
âIs that, like, meaningful for you?â he asked.
âI donât really care if it has meaning or not. Mostly it keeps me entertained.â
âCheers to that.â
He raised his beer bottle and clinked it against your glass of gin and tonic.
âSo you know all of the Roy siblings?â Lukas said.
âToo well.â
âWhich oneâs your favorite?â
âDo I have to have a favorite?â
âItâll say a lot about you. Iâm still figuring out who Iâm talking to here.â
You considered briefly.
âI think I relate to Kendall the most.â
âDaddy issues?â
You laughed. âIâm not going there. But if I had to pick a favorite⊠Roman is the most fun to be around.â
âSo you like fun.â
âYou donât?â
âI donât relate to what most people think of as fun.â
âLike what?â
âI donât know. Partying. Getting drunk. Rollercoasters.â
You burst out laughing.
âWhat?â he said.
âRollercoasters?â
âPeople find them fun, right? You tell me. Whatâs fun to you?â
âNot rollercoasters.â
Lukas considered you with a curious, calculating look.
âIâm starting to think youâre not a normal person,â he said.
âI could tell you werenât normal the second I looked over here.â
You gave him a sly smile. He set his beer down and folded his hands in his lap.
âIâve got to get out of this treehouse,â he said.
âYou donât think the treehouse is fun?â
âIâd like to find out what your idea of fun is. You still havenât told me.â
You gazed at him for a long moment. Then you heard an all-too-familiar voice over your shoulder.
âThere you are. Both of you.â
Roman was leaning over you with his hands on the back of your chair.
âThis is a weird pairing. What are you guys even talking about?â
âRollercoasters,â Lukas said.
You smiled, catching his eye once more before you stood.
âIâll let you guys talk.â
âIâll see you later, though, yeah?â Roman called. You glanced at Lukas, who had put everything together in an instant.
âIf you can find me,â you said as you left.
When you glanced back over your shoulder, Lukas was staring at his phone again and Roman was sitting cross-legged in your chair, trying unsuccessfully to get his attention.
Not long after, you found yourself in Italy, lying poolside beneath the mild northern sun. Eyes closed, you felt a shadow pass over your vision and cracked your eyes open. Roman sat in the neighboring beach chair, squinting in the light.
âI forgot how much I hated the sun.â
He leaned back uncomfortably in the chair.
âSo, I have a mission for you. For both of us.â
âWhat?â
âGuess who lives right across the lake.â
âWho? Stop making me ask questions.â
âOur old buddy Lukas Matsson.â
Your heart skipped a beat.
âWho?â
Roman grinned.
âYou know who. Youâre literally blushing.â
âItâs the sun.â
âI know youâve been wondering how big his dick is.â
âRoman, what the fuck?â
âHey, itâs fine. I mean, you still havenât seen mine. Itâs only healthy to think about other menâs dicks every now and then.â
âJesusâŠâ
âLook, seriously. I need your help. I have to convince him to make this deal. But I donât think he likes me all that much. If youâre there, maybe heâll perk up enough to listen to me. I mean, the manâs practically comatose.â
âWhat am I supposed to do?â
âI need you to get him a little hard, metaphorically speaking. Heâll want to show off his big dick in front of you by making this deal.â
âStop saying âdickâ. This is sounding really fucking weird.â
âLike Iâm trying to whore you out to him?â
âYeah. Exactly that.â
âCome on. You donât have to do anything. Unless, you know, you want to.â
He wiggled his eyebrows. You gave a sigh.
âWhen are you leaving?â
âSoon. Now, actually. Can you put some clothes on? The bikini might be overkill.â
âGod dammit, Roman.â
You stood up and grabbed the towel from the back of your chair. He grabbed your hand gently.
âHey.â
You paused, gazing down at him, the quirky smile flashing, eyes obscured behind his dark sunglasses.
âYouâre my secret weapon.â
You were on the boat less than half an hour later, speeding across Lake Como in the warm air.
âThatâs his place,â Roman said, indicating the approaching villa. Tall cypress trees swayed in the lake breeze, revealing a stuccoed exterior and red tile roof. A hidden paradise nestled at the foot of the Alps.
âYouâre shitting me.â
Roman grinned.
Lukas was waiting for you on the dock. He was barefoot, in a black t-shirt and white linen pants. His dark blue eyes glinted in the light reflecting off the lake.
Roman disembarked first, turning to lend you a hand. You felt Lukas watching the two of you.
"There you are, you tall motherfucker," Roman said, stepping forward to greet him. He shook Romanâs hand, then turned his gaze to you.
âYou remember Y/N, right?â Roman said. âI think I interrupted your little party in the treehouse.â
âSo you two are together?â
âWell, we havenât fucked yet if thatâs what you mean,â Roman said.
Lukas glanced at you. You rolled your eyes discreetly.
âI feel like I shouldnât ask,â Lukas said.
âOh, itâs all me. Not her fault.â
Lukas led the two of you to a patio shaded from the sun. His property was quiet, beautiful, secluded. It was strange to imagine him padding around the villa in his bare feet, alone. He reclined on a wicker sofa while you took a seat nearby.
Roman was looking at his phone, suddenly serious.
âWhat is it?â you said.
âI gotta take this. Sorry, guys.â
He stepped away, leaving you alone with Lukas. He reclined on a beige sofa, glancing at you with his hands folded in his lap.
âI was wondering if Iâd see you again,â he said. âWhere did we leave off?â
âI donât remember. It was a long night.â
âWhen you said Roman was your favorite, I didnât realize why.â
âItâs pretty complicated.â
âSounds like it.â Lukas paused. âYou guys really havenât fucked?â
âItâs just⊠not like that. I know it sounds weird.â
âHow long have you been together?â
âAbout a year.â
He let out a low whistle.
âSo does that mean⊠I mean, are you guys exclusive?â
âSo far. Yeah.â
You gazed at each other silently. Roman returned, phone in hand.
âHey guys, I gotta run. But Iâll be back. Is it cool if she stays?â
âItâs fine,â Lukas said. âIs everything okay?â
âYeah, yeah. Just family stuff. Kendall,â he added, glancing at you.
You nodded, unable to tell if he was bluffing or not.
âTry not to talk business without me,â Roman said. He turned and jogged back towards the dock. You heard the boat engine start as he sped off across the lake.
âFun,â Lukas said.
You looked at him in confusion.
âWe were talking about fun.â
He was gazing at you, broad shoulders in the dappled sunlight, his eyes calm.
âDo you want to see the rest of the house?â
You followed him inside, bare feet on the cool terracotta floor, a warm breeze moving through the open rooms. The villa was exquisitely decorated, a blend of modern art and traditional Italian motifs. Green and gold curtains, plush beige sofas, a gleaming oak dining table.
âYou live alone?â
âYeah. To be honest, I donât like living with other people.â
âI know what you mean.â
âYou and Roman donât live together?
âLetâs stop talking about Roman.â
You paused in the doorway of a bedroom that opened onto a patio overlooking the lake. The sheer curtains lifted in the breeze. You felt Lukas glance at you.
âThe downstairs is all for show. I live upstairs. Do you want to see?â
The upstairs was a loft with exposed beams and skylights. In contrast to the overblown downstairs decoration, everything here was black, white, grey. This was where Lukasâs preference for Scandinavian minimalism became apparent. He was so tall that he had to stoop in certain places. You peered into his office, sparsely decorated with a wooden desk, MacBook and high-end stereo system.
âThis is where I get my thinking done. I really donât like having visitors in general. Present company excepted.â
His bedroom was adjacent to the office. Again you lingered in the doorway, hesitant to enter his private quarters. He leaned on the doorframe across from you and folded his arms. He looked straight at you.
âSo,â he said.
âSo...?â
âKendallâs birthday party. I had every intention of inviting you back to my room.â
âRoman ruined your plans, huh?â
âPretty much. But then he brought you here.â
You went silent, gazing back at him. The blonde stubble, heavy brow, hard blue eyes. Something in him both frightening and compelling. Impenetrable but vulnerable. He was tan from the summer sun, calm and cool. He seemed curious to see what your next move would be. And he was willing to wait you out.
You meandered into the bedroom, glancing around at his possessions. A shelf full of books: classics, modern novels, books on tech. A stray pair of headphones. A solitary personâs existence.
He followed you in, taking a seat on the edge of his bed. You turned around to face him.
âRoman brought me here to help make the deal for his dad,â you said.
âI know that. I donât care. Iâve already made my decision.â
âOkay.â
âOkay.â
You stepped up to him, feet nearly touching. He watched you with the faint smile of someone who has been alone for a long time observing a newcomer in their space.
âLetâs not fuck around any longer,â he whispered.
Almost before he had finished speaking, you leaned down to kiss him. He kissed you back, long, deep kisses, like he had missed you intensely in your brief, inexplicable absence from his life. His hands slid up your back. You sank onto his lap, straddling him as his hands moved lower, exploring your unfamiliar form.
You ran your hands through his hair, along the back of his neck, across his broad shoulders. You slid your hands beneath the sleeves of his t-shirt, feeling his toned arms. You kissed his neck, the sound of his rasping breath in your ear.
âDid you think of me at all?â he whispered.
âI couldnât stop,â you breathed.
You felt a throb as he grew harder beneath you. You pushed him back onto the bed and ground against him as he swiftly unbuttoned your shirt then shed his own. He pulled you down against him, kissing your neck, your shoulders, his stubble brushing your skin.
âYou really havenât been fucked in a year?â
You shook your head, gasping at his touch, unable to speak.
âTime to change that.â
He deftly changed positions with you, so that you were lying half-dressed beneath him. Now you had a full view of him, his bare torso, ruffled blonde hair, the intensity in his eyes. He unzipped his pants and slid out of them.
âOh my god,â you said, unable to stop yourself. Lukas grinned, breathless.
âWhat?â
âYouâre fucking huge.â
He tugged your pants off, gripping his cock, and without any further delay, slid swiftly into you.
You let out a long, vocal moan. It had been too long. Everything in you had been aching for him. He watched your every reaction, the slight grin on his face, his eyes glittering. You bucked against him, running your hands over his lean body as he slowly, firmly pounded into you. You gripped his forearm for dear life.
âFuck, Lukasâ
âYeah? Is that good?â
You groaned in response as he leaned into you, his hot, sticky skin against yours, running along the length of your body with his bulk. He gripped your wrists, pinning you lightly as he pulsed in and out of you. You sank your teeth into the muscle of his shoulder, and he held you down harder.
âYou feel like you want to come,â he murmured.
âMmhmm.â
âYouâre so fucking wet.â
You dug your fingers into his back, feeling your entire body tense up.
âItâs been so long. Youâre ready to fucking burst.â
He slid his thumb into your mouth and you bit down on it. There were starbursts behind your eyes. His voice in your ear.
âThere you go. Let me hear you. I want to hear you.â
That was it. You let go, back arched, thighs tensed, warmth spreading across your body as you let out a half-moan, half-scream. You heard Lukas groan and stiffen, his hand twined in your hair.
You stayed like that for a long moment, breathing into each otherâs mouths. Finally he rolled off of you, shining with a light cover of sweat. You lay side by side, recovering.
âFuck,â you whimpered.
âIs that what you wanted?â
âFuck yes.â
You felt his fingers brush along your forearm. He was gazing at you from his pillow.
âYou can come closer. If you want.â
You gladly complied, feeling his arm encircle you as you found a place against his chest. Your eyes traced his unfamiliar body. A tuft of blonde chest hair, a scar below his ribcage, a small birthmark near the belly button. But you didnât touch him further. This was still new, the boundaries not yet established. Perhaps Lukas didnât want to be touched in a tender, loving way. Perhaps you didnât either.
âI wish we had more time,â he murmured. âThereâs a lot more I want to do with you.â
âI was very pent-up,â you said, half-apologizing.
âNo, itâs fine. Itâs good when itâs fast sometimes. Plus Iâm not great at seductive gestures.â
âThis is only the second time we've met and you made me come. That just doesnât happen.â
He gave a slight laugh, a low sound deep in his chest. He stroked your shoulder with his thumb briefly.
âI mean Iâm not a normal person. Some things people want from me, I just canât give them.â
âYouâre talking to someone whoâs been dating Roman Roy for a year and a half. I go without a lot of things.â
You gazed down his body, his skin soft and tan in the natural light.
âPlus, thereâs probably a lot I canât give you,â you murmured. âRemember, Iâm not normal either.â
âI donât care. I donât want normal. I get bored easily.â
From the open window, you could hear the sound of the lake lapping against the shore. Then, growing in the distance, the high whine of a motor.
âWell,â said Lukas with a note of finality.
âWhat do we do?â
He turned on his side, looking straight at you again with that penetrating gaze.
âI think we need to see each other again,â he said.
âOkay.â
Without another word, he sat up, sliding into his pants. You savored the sight of his torso as he pulled on his shirt. You dressed quickly then met him in the doorway, where you paused. He brushed a strand of hair behind your ear, then leaned down and kissed you once, warm and deep. He held your eyes for a long moment. He looked like he was about to say something, but instead he smiled slightly to himself and started down the stairs. You followed, eyes lingering on the back of his neck, his shoulders.
Roman met you on the green lawn. His hair and clothes were windblown and disheveled but he was grinning.
âHey kids. Have fun without me?â
âJust showing her around the property.â
âI bet you did. Hey, I know it was shitty for me to run out like that, so if you want to talk about the deal another time, weâll get out of your hair.â
âWe donât need to talk about it. I want to do it.â
Roman raised his eyebrows. âWell, shit. Are you sure, man?â
âYeah. Itâs fine. Iâm sure.â
Roman grabbed his hand and shook it with a grin. âI guess weâll be seeing a lot more of each other.â
âI guess we will.â
Lukasâs eyes flashed in your direction. You smiled slightly and looked away.
On the boat ride back, Roman was strangely silent. He had a secretive grin on his face and his eyes were obscured behind his dark glasses. Then he unexpectedly turned to you, grabbed your face between his hands, and kissed you on the mouth.
âIt worked. It fucking worked.â
He held your hand the rest of the way back to his motherâs villa. It was the first time in a year and a half of dating that he had done so.

Hell I'm just a Kid Myself
Jamie Tartt x Reader
The reader finds out she is pregnant with Jamie's baby and she is terrified of what his response will be when he finds out.
I'm planning on making this a series so feel free to comment what you would like to see moving forward.
Check out Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
____________________________________________________________
She stared at the test sitting on the counter, and it felt like she couldnât breathe. This couldnât be happening right now. The plus sign was staring back at her clear as day. She was pregnant.Â
âBaby!â She heard a voice echo through the hallway. The familiar Mancurian accent of her boyfriend that usually brought a smile to her face filled her with dread. âI need to head to practice.âÂ
âHey Jamie, Iâm not feeling well I will see you when you come home.âÂ
âDo you want me to pick you up anything? Is it your lady time.â Jamie asked and a comment like that would have usually made Y/N roll her eyes and laugh but the reality of the situation at hand had her terrified.Â
âUm, yeah, if you could pick me up some chocolate that would be great.â She lied the thought of any food making her nauseous.Â
âI love you.â Jamie called and her heart broke.Â
They hadnât been dating for even a year, there was no discussion of a future, and now they were faced with it whether they liked it or not.Â
As she heard the front door shut and the sound of his Ashton pulling out of the driveway, Y/N slid to the floor.Â
âWhat am I going to do?â She thought. Suddenly she realized there was only one person she needed to talk to, someone who would give her instant clarity. She crawled her way to the bedroom and grabbed her phone.Â
âI need you.â She texted before she curled up onto the bed.Â
It took what felt like ages but in reality was record time before she heard the doorbell ring. Before she even had the chance to get out a bed, the door bell rang again. Then by the time she made it out of the room he was pounding on the door.Â
âY/N!â He screamed and she knew that if she didnât hurry he would bust the door down.Â
âJesus Christ,â She sighed as she through open the door.Â
âWhere is the prick, what did he do?â Roy snapped his eyes wild.Â
âIâm pregnant.âÂ
Royâs jaw dropped. âFuuuuuuuuuucccccckkkk.âÂ
Y/N broke and buried her face into Royâs chest as she cried.Â
By the time she time Y/N finally calmed down her and Roy had made their way to the couch.Â
âWhat did he say when you told him?â Roy asked.Â
âI havenât told him yet, I found out literally a half hour ago.âÂ
âFuckinâ hell!â Roy snapped. âYou mean to tell me you told me before you told Jamie.âÂ
âYes IâŠâ Y/N started.Â
âThat is far too much pressure! Plus Jamie is going to kill me. Why havenât you told him?âÂ
âI donât know how he is going to react. We havenât talked about, I mean fuck Roy we havenât even being dating that long, and heâs only 25. Iâm only 27 I donât and what about his career. I donât want to ruin that I justâŠâ Y/N panicked.Â
âWoah, hey, look at me.â Roy said as he grabbed her hand. âYou cannot panic about something when you donât even know what the outcome is going to be. Jamie is crazy about you.âÂ
âAnd Iâm crazy about him, but a baby Roy I donât know what we are going to do.âÂ
âIt is something that you need to discuss with him, and if he does anything remotely prickish I will kill him.âÂ
Y/N laughed. âYou love him and you know it.âÂ
Roy grunted causing Y/N to laugh even more.Â
Y/N gave Roy a large hug. âThank you for being the best grumpy therapist a girl could as for.âÂ
Roy cracked a smile. âGive Jaime a chance, I think he will surprise you.âÂ
âI hope you are right.â Y/N sighed and she could feel the anxiety in her stomach growing.Â
Y/N knew that if she stayed at home and waited until Jamie got back that she was going to go absolutely insane, so instead, she made her way to Nelson Road Stadium.Â
Roy walked with her and he could see how badly she was shaking as they walked through the halls.Â
âEverything is going to be ok.â Roy tried his best to sooth.Â
âYeah, of course.â Y/N replied but she wasnât sure.Â
âY/N!â The whole team cheered when she came into the locker room. Ever since she started dating Jamie she had become a regular at the Dog Track and all the guys loved her.Â
âHi baby,â Jamie smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and picked her up swinging her around.Â
Her heart felt like it was breaking, she couldnât help but feel that this could be the last moments she had with Jamie. So she held on tighter than she should.Â
âAre you ok?â He whispered.Â
âCan I talk to you, in private?â She whispered back.Â
She could feel Jamie tense up as he set her back down his eyes full of concern as he looked her up and down trying to figure out what was wrong.Â
âYaâ um, this way.â He said as he grabbed her hand and walked her towards the boot room.Â
On her way out she caught Royâs gaze and watched as he mouthed âGood luck.âÂ
âIs something wrong or did you just want to see me,â Jamie smirked
âI love you Jamie, so much you know that right.âÂ
Jamieâs face dropped. âWhatâs wrong, what did I do?â He asked and Y/N watched his jaw clench.Â
âOh Jamie,â Y/N gasped as she grabbed his face in her hands. âHoney, you didnât do anything, well actually you did, or rather we did, a lot.âÂ
âIâm confused, are you breaking up with me orâŠâÂ
âNo God no, I⊠fuck.â Y/N said her eyes well up with tears.Â
âBaby, you are really starting to freak me out, whatâs going on?âÂ
âIâm⊠Iâm pregnant.âÂ
Jamie laughed. âJesus, you really freaked me out Y/N I thought something was wrong.âÂ
Y/N stared at Jamie tears streaming down her face.Â
His laughter faded and and she watched as reality hit in. âYouâre preg⊠how?âÂ
âJamie, do I really need to explain that to you.âÂ
âNo thatâs not what I mean I⊠you are pregnant.â He gaped.Â
Y/N nodded.Â
Jamie opened his mouth but no words came out, for the first time since she met him, Jamie Tartt was speechless.Â
âPlease say something, Iâm freaking out and I just need to know what you are thinking.â Y/N pleaded.Â
âIâŠâ He started and Y/N could see the tears in his eyes. âI need to get back to practice.âÂ
Then he pulled Y/N in for a long kiss before he turned and left.Â
âWait Jamie!â She called. âFuck!âÂ
The room went silent for a while before she heard the sound of someone quietly moving.Â
âHi Will,â She sighed.

~â~
"Jason, would you please take your kid this weekend. Jude misses you."
"You know I cant."
"Jason please."
"It's dangerous."
That was the last conversation you had with Jason before he went no contact. A phone call where you asked him to be in his daughter's life. Your daughters life.
You had made countless calls to Roy, trying to see if he had any contact with Jason. Alas, he told you no.
Jason's family had been all over when you told them, Bruce even bought you an apartment that was closer to the Manor since you wouldn't move in with them. He always tried to be helpful. They all did, but Judith isn't their child. She's yours. They shouldn't have to take care of her where Jason was lacking.
When you told him you were pregnant, he had promised to always be there. But promises are just words.
Around the time of your due date, he had been doubting if this was a good idea. He was doubting if having your daughter was a good idea. After Judith was brought home, you and Jason started having fights, fights that ultimately led him to move out. He was still present in her life after that. When she was around three, his visits became spotty. You knew about his work as Red Hood, so you understood.
When he missed her birthday party and then didn't show up on her actual birthday, was when you went ballistic. You called him up and screamed your throat raw.
Judith never once complained. Well, at first, she gave out the occasional, "Where's daddy?" "Can we see daddy?" "I miss daddy." And you would have to try and explain as to why she couldn't see him. Even though you yourself didn't understand.
But she was usually quiet about it, never once questioning his actions. She loved her father, no matter if he didn't love her.
Ă
"Momma." Judith loudly whispered, trying to wake you up.
"Mmm, yes, sweetheart?" You groaned, furrowing your head into your pillow.
"Breakfast!" She excitedly asked of you, climbing up onto you.
"What d'you want?" You croaked, rubbing at your eyes.
"Pancake!"
"Alright.."
Judith let out a squeal as you picked her up and carried her into the kitchen, setting her down at the breakfast bar. You reached into your cabinets and pulled out the needed supplies, then grabbed for the pancake mix and began making the batter.
A knock on the door caused you to stop mixing. Both you and Judith sent a look over to where the front door was.
"Stay right there." You told her, walking over to the door and looking out of the peephole. Dick's face is what greeted you, his dark hair falling in his face, causing him to push it away.
"Dick?" You opened the door. The older man just gave you a big smile and a hug. "Hello, Y/N!"
"Hey..."
"Can I come in?"
"Of course, I'm making breakfast."
You moved to the side so that he could walk in. Immediately, he walked into your kitchen, sneaking up behind Judith and putting his hands over her eyes.
"Guess who.." He sang out.
"Uncle Dick!" She yelled.
"Good job, Judy Jayne!" He chuckled, leaning in and pressing a kiss to the back of her head. "What are we having?"
"Panc-"
"Pancakes!" Judith yelled, interrupting you. "Pink ones!"
"Since when did we choose pink?" You asked, going back to stirring the batter.
"They always have to be pink," Dick defended "and have glitter on them.
"Ohh, momma do we have glitter?" Judith asked.
"We should have some left over." You responded, talking about the edible glitter that she had on her birthday cake last year.
"Yay!" Dick and Judith smiled together.
"Will you be joining us Dick?" You asked, putting food dye in the batter.
Judith stared up at the man with a wide smile, begging him to say yes. He cast a sorry look down at her, "I can't, I've got to get to work."
"Aww." Judith pouted. The both of you knew that she would be over it in two seconds.
"So why stop by?" You questioned, setting down the raspberries that were in your hand and looking at Dick.
"Well...we need to talk."
Wordlessly, you walked back out of the kitchen, Dick following right behind you.
"Whats up?"
Dick sent you an anxious look before hesitantly speaking, "Um, Jason's back in Gotham..."
You stared up at him, eyes wide for a few seconds before your face returned to expressionless.
"Very well then." You spoke. "Who cares?"

roy kent - the man, the myth, the legend, would you ever see him in a relationship? probably. would you ever see him in a relationship with one than more person? but thatâs exactly whatâs going on
you met jamie first, he was a little prick you werenât very fond of, but when he transferred to afc richmond, he changed. he also met roy
jamie introduced you to roy and he fell for you immediately - you didnât
it took you a while to like both of them
but you did like jamie first
it made roy furious - he started to treat jamie like some sort of slut
thatâs when you talked to roy and you felt something when he looked at you with those eyes
your stomach churned and your heart fluttered- you didnât do anything though
what you did do, was tell jamie
he was shocked at first, but he kind of understood your feelings
because he kind of felt those feelings for roy too
you mastered a plan to tell roy, but he crashed it, when he just pulled you aside one day and kissed you
he told you, that he couldnât stop thinking of you and that he would tolerate the prick
you were so happy, both boys or men as roy would say, now happy and yours
at first you tried to hide your relationship- the team knew you were dating jamie, so the relationship between you and roy and jamie and roy had to be kept a secret
the relationship between roy and jamie was anyway a bit different- they werenât like a couple couple (at least they thought they werenât)
it was more like a bromance rather than a romance
hugging and showing love in the way of saying it or light touches was normal between the two, but kissing or even sex, wasnât happening between the two ballers
as non intimate the relation between those two were, yours with them was even more intimate
jamie is definitely the soft one, he treats you like a princess. does everything for you and wants you all the time
roy on the other hand was a bit more harder. he is a softie inside and only lets you see this side when you two were alone, you loved it though. but when jamie is around, he is this big, rough teddy bear
it was hard for roy to not show you his love around the team
he once even wanted to ask the diamond dogs what to do - until he realised that they also didnât know
but sooner or later the team found out
it was when jamieâs dad just showed up and jamie punched him, when roy realised that he gave a fuck about what the others were thinking and that jamie needed him right then
the team was about hesitant at first, not understanding the whole dynamic, but they soon understood it and supported you fully
at the end of the day, you three were laying on bed, jamie in the middle of you and roy, his head was laying on your chest and roy was spooning him from behind
your right hand on his cheek, stroking it softly, and the left hand in his hair, massaging it gently
roy had his arm around his waist
you were whispering sweet nothings, told him about your day and how much you missed your boys
jamie is such a softie, but you loved it
he cried that night, but he was glad his two loved ones were right by his side
roy is usually the jealous type- when jamie received too much attention from you he was grunting, not voicing his feelings, just grunting
but it was okay for tonight
you were usually the one who cooked - the boys are on cleaning duty
roy usually didnât complain, oh but jamie, my god does he complain
âwhy do i have to clean up the kitchen? you were the one who cooked?â he would say after you cooked the meal
and roy mostly responded like this: âthatâs exactly why we have to do it, you little fuck, she already cooked!â
roy swears like a sailor, we all know that, it didnât make you uncomfortable, but hearing fuck every two seconds was something to get used to
so he tried to tone it down - it didnât work
jamie laughed every time when he saw you twisted up face in the beginning
but after some time you didnât even hear it anymore
but believe me, roy would do anything for you
getting you both from the night club because you were too drunk to even remember where you were
buying you expensive gifts because thatâs what you deserve
bringing home flowers to surprise you
helping jamie, because thatâs the only wish you ever had - that the two boys would love each other
and they did, in their own way
you loved them and they loved you, very much so
and you were so happy to have them in your life
i mean, how could you not love them

a soft place to land
summer sleepover masterlist
roy kent x gn!reader
summary: âiâm never more at peace than i am in your arms.â
content warning : me once more deciding Royâs sister is called Molly
an : technically a part 2 to âbut never not sweet for the trust funds and punishersâ requested by the ever so lovely @onceuponaoneshotfanfic !! But can be read as a stand-alone fic too
Roy had never been good at emotions, let alone being comforted. He can remember being 8 years old and scraping his knee; he cleaned off the scrape and applied the plaster all by himself. And when Molly noticed the blue plaster covered in spaceships adorned on his knee and offered to kiss it better, like she could remember their mum doing for her before, he gave a very loud ânoâ and ran right back out into the garden.
He just wasnât good at it, at accepting the love people tried to offer him. At least, until you had come along.
Roy had been at Chelsea for approximately 5 weeks when he finally had the chance to meet you, his new neighbour, and even back then heâd been his gruff and gloomy self.
Roy had been at Chelsea for approximately 7 weeks when you showed up on his doorstep with a case of his favourite beer in hand and a bag full of takeout after barely having spoken more then two words to him.
âRegardless of if youâve read the article or not, Iâm coming in and weâre talking about it.â His face twisted in confusion, to which you pulled out a rolled up magazine from under you arm, the title reading in big, black font âRoy Kent; legend in the making and in the bedroom.â
âSome people will do anything for their five minutes of fame.â Youâd scoffed, waiting for Roy to hand you two plates so that you could serve up the takeaway youâd brought over. âI hope you know this says nothing about you and everything about the shithead who sold out on you.â
Roy was silent the whole time, only grunting a response when it actually occurred to you to ask him if he even liked Chinese food; which, of course he did. You had to practically guide him to his couch and force him to eat, let alone talk to you about it.
âHow are you feeling, Roy-o?â At some point, though Roy couldnât remember when, youâd finished your meal and saddled up next to him, your knees pressed against his thigh as you sat facing him. âI mean, at best the whole of England knows youâre an absolute sex god. But i can imagine itâs not nice being on the front page of a magazine for gossip, or being sold out by whoever you were seeing.â
You finally elicited a response from Roy when you moved your hand to the back of his neck, settling your fingers in his hair which had him crashing back to reality and jumping away from you. âWhat the fuck are you doing?â
âUm, comforting you? What the fuck does it look like you prick?â
And just like that, youâd worked your way into his heart and he knew he was never going to get you back out of it.
Despite that being years and years ago, Roy had only just reached a point where he would seek you out for comfort when he needed it. More then a decade on, he still had girls left, right, and centre fucking him, stealing from him and then selling the story of it to the press. And he still had you, waiting with open arms and a listening ear to make it all go away.
Like tonight, he was once again laying between your legs, his head against your chest and your fingers combing through his hair. This time though, there was no one night stand selling his sex stories or stealing his Rolex, he simply just wanted to be with you, in your arms.
âIâm never more at peace then I am in your arms.â He whispered. The confession was out of left field for Roy; he didnât do soft. Well, you knew that wasnât entirely true, he was always soft with you, even if it had taken you years to show him that was okay and convince him he didnât have to wait for you to hug him first. But saying it instead of showing it? This was an entirely different realm of braveness for Roy. âI know Iâm not the best at, talking, I guess, but you make life easier. Would stay here forever if I could.â
Tears threatened to cloud your vision and it felt like your throat was closing up. It was unbelievable, to see Roy become the person he had, from way back when heâd just arrived to Chelsea to now, at Richmond as a coach. It almost felt like you had an entirely different person before you. But you didnât. His hair still felt the same when you ran your fingers through it, he still had the same deep and gruff voice and he still threw his head back with laughter and a wide smile every-time you watched stepbrothers. Roy was still the Roy he always had been, but now he was better at showing people that version of himself.
âWill do all that I can to keep you here forever, Roy-o.â You tilted his head back, keeping your hands cupping each side of his face as you leant forward, pressing a slow and soft kiss to his lips. They were slightly chapped and the scruff of his beard tickled your skin, and the hand that moved to cup the back of your head and keep you kissing him rid of the ounce of worry you had that youâd read too much into things. âI love you, Roy. I have for a long time.â
There was a long moment of silence between the two of you, but it didnât worry you in the slightest. Whether or not Roy was able to say it, you knew that he loved you. The blush that coated his cheeks told you enough if his actions and words across the years hadnât.
âAw youâre blushing, you must love me.â
âFuck off.â Roy turned his attention back to the tv, not containing the smile that pulled at his lips at the thought alone - you loved him. He intertwined his fingers with yours, pulling your hand to cup his face again and pressing a kiss to the inside of your wrist. âI love you too.â

Your night
Masterlist  Â
Order:16
large frappuccino, Lavender and Forest Berry flavored+Honey Bun
Vil x Female!Reader x Rook-âI know you had a bad day, so I made you cookiesâ
"I got the face masks and chocolates,is Roi du poison on his way?"
"No,he needed to do something more. So he'll be late. He sounded exhausted" Rook looked disappointed. "He's working too hard"
"You're right,we should finish everything before he returns so he can just relax"
"I'll go make some cookies, can you handle the rest?"Â
"Don't worry I'll take care of it" He gave you a kiss before going back to the bathroom to prepare everything.Â
It was getting very late,Vil never stayed that long at any event or photoshot. He was always serious about being healthy and especially about having a proper sleep schedule.Â
âAnything new?â
âNothing yet,Iâm starting to get worried. Should I call him?â He thought for a minute, you were worried but you didnât want to bother Vil either. Thankfully he walked in just as Rook was about to answer.
âWhy are you still up?â He looked tired and grumpy but you still hugged him. He hugged you back, kissing your cheek as he did.Â
"I missed you and I know you had a bad day, so I made you cookiesâ
"And we have a surprise for you too," Rook piped in.
"What did you do?" He sighed, you held up the plate of cookies and he took one.Â
"It's a good kind of surprise" You laughed it off. Rook led him to the bathroom, which was filled with candles. The bathtub was filled with bubbles and rose petals,Rook had set everything up beautifully. Vil pulled both of you into a hug.
"Thank you,but I can't possibly enjoy this by myself. Will you join me?"Â
Luckily the bathtub was big enough to fit all three of you. All three of you were sitting there relaxing with face masks on in complete silence. You were a bit concerned that Vil might fall asleep,so you moved closer to him.Â
"Thank you Y/N I really needed this"
"Rook did most of it to be fair" Rook moved to sit next to Vil,so he was sandwiched in between both of you.Â
"I really appreciate you both" You recognized the look the Rook was giving you,and you made the first move. You kissed Vil,trailing your fingers down his chest until you reached his stomach. You just let your hand rest there, wait for him to let you keep going. Rook had wrapped an arm around his waist as he kissed Vil's shoulders, moving up to his neck. "I really should take a break,I have missed this"
"Maybe we should move this to the bed?" Rook suggested.Â
Rook was sat up holding Vil to his chest, both of them facing you. He was already kissing Vil all over as you did the same, kissing all the way from his ankles to his cock. You took him in your mouth, making him moan immediately. Rook complementing both of you as he kept kissing Vil. You bobbed your head up and down, quickly speeding up
âY/Nâ Vil managed to pull away from Rook to moan your name for a second before Rook pulled him back. He grabbed your hair, careful not to grip too hard. He suddenly came in your mouth with no warning. âSorry,I didnât realize I was that closeâ
âItâs fineâ You were about to wipe your mouth, but Rook grabbed your wrists and pulled you close. Kissing you before licking up the few strings left around your mouth. You straddled Vilâs lap, pushing him further against Rook. âBut I seriously hope youâre not doneâ
âOf course not,I never disappointâ
âJust donât forget, tonight is all about youâ Rook wrapped his arms around both of you, pulling all of you closer.

About the Roy and Jamie fight:
I think people forget Jamie used to be a real prick. Heâs done a real 180, but people who have actually worked on the really bad parts of themselves know that those parts of us donât just leave. For a character that was introduced as The Prince Prick of All Pricks, his first instinct being lashing out and putting people down, to change so much after so much turmoil in his life (going to Richmond, leaving Richmond, doing the reality show and coming back to Richmond) is beautiful to see. But even after he came back we see a little bit of that instinct coming back. When the team gives him the signal, he starts by saying âIâm no doing it wrong, youâre doing it wrongâ. Heâs frustrated, but there no need for him to say that. He could just start by explaining. To part of him LIKES being a prick. Because is part of who he is.
Roy was introduced as a rude and angry captain in the end of his legendary career whose response to the world is rage and violence. Heâs watching his career end in a mediocre team and doesnât have any connections with his teammates. The closest relationship he has within the team is with Jamie. The asshole whoâs rude to everyone, who has a funny and kind girlfriend, the one who he already knows is going to be a legend. Royâs change comes later, slower, because, just like Zava could, legends can get away with things other people canât. Nobody asked Roy to change. Richmond didnât care that Roy was an absent captain. That he was violent. Sky sports didnât care that he swore on live tv. Ted didnât ask him to change when he asked him to come back. It was only in the middle of this season that Rebecca gave him a real talk.
And then we come to their interactions this episode. Roy sees jamie and keeley hugging and assumes the worst. He asks jamie out for a beer, something we know never happened bc jamie hasnât had beer in months. We have the callback of the fist bumps, now offered by Roy. In the bar, Roy is obviously sincere when he says that heâs proud of jamie (but I honestly think he was going for a compliment sandwich), but he immediately segways into the subject of keeley. Heâs so insecure in his relationship with keeley (and probably with Jamie) that it comes of possessive and dismissive of Jamie. We can see in his face that he means it as a competition, as if HE won. And Jamie responds in kind, reaching for the prince pricks of all pricks that lives in him, and that Roy can access easier then anyone. They have more equal ground now, they both like and respect each other. But they are both also highly competitive, both insecure, both known for lashing out when cornered, Jamie with his words and Roy with his fists. Jamie knew what he was doing when he talked about the video. He WANTED to hurt Roy. And roy responded how he used to, because Jamie acted like he used to.
And that is the nail on the coffin to Roy. The next morning he asks to be a diamond dog. Because he baited Jamie and he knew it. And when jamie baited him back, he fell for it. He asked for everything that happened the night before, and I can bet you that it was jamie that suggested they go talk to keeley. And it was jamie that offered dinner. Because jamie HAD to change, and Roy witnessed him doing it. He knows is possible, heâs seen it, and he finally realized he canât do it alone, bc heâs been trying and fell back as soon as his insecurities hit a little harder. And he brought his best friend down with him, even after seeing and experiencing his change. He asked for help because he doesnât know how to deal with having a best friend, someone who knows you, who challenges you, who makes you feel like you can do better.
Because thatâs what happens when you have real and vulnerable relationships. No one can hurt you more then your best friend, because they know you better then anyone. The people who know you are the ones that can bring the worst out of you. And you cans also bring the worst out of them. Roy already knows Jamie tries very hard not to do this. The least he can do is try to learn too.
(This is not a defense of the behaviour, itâs just been driving me insane that people are saying it out of character. Itâs not. Itâs a natural response and a callback and a demonstration of HOW MUCH their relationship changed that they stop fighting to come to a âbetterâconclusion (itâs not), and then get dinner together. No hard feelings.)
