Okay so like- yesterday I got hit in the back of the head with "The Sickness" and apparently in a medicine-induced haze stumbled into your Monster Lab AU and I just gotta say, it's pretty freakn cool. Zombie Pomni has been rotating in my brain like a rat on a lazy susan ever since-

If the DSMP had been a normal show, there would have been an entire episode of cDream being chased through the woods post-prison, none of his usual weapons and armor on hand, but still out-manuevering his hunters left and right.

There would only be brief respites between every encounter where you see Dream nearly collapsing for air, vision blurring for a moment, bleeding through makeshift bandages, before he hears the hunters coming and pulls it all back together into sharp focus, so only the viewer knows the true toll it takes on Dream to be going like this. It would show how devastatingly competent he is even at one of his lowest points in the series, but it's also to show that he's pushing his body limits, viewers holding their breath waiting for that moment he finally pushes too far.

At the end of the episode, he'd find a large, sturdy branch, and use it like a staff to fight off his hunters- and despite all their deadly blades and armor, he still manages to win the battle, knocking a few out with the weight of the branch and kicking someone off a cliff. His vision goes black for a moment and he stumbles, slamming the stick down to hold himself up. He wipes the blood from his eyes.

"Just a little more," he mumbles with grit teeth, and pushes himself up to walk.

The branch becomes his walking stick for the journey as he trudges through the snow. All the trees part, revealing an icy shore with a lone figure standing tall. They turn to him, and their face lights up.

"Dream!"

Dream stumbles the last yard, but he surges forward one last time to land in Punzs, and it doesn't matter. His entire countenance has changed to something a little softer, a little more vulnerable.

"It's been forever; I missed you." Punz's breath is warm in his ear. We see Dream practically buried in their hug, face half-covered by their sweater. Dream's eyes widen, before softening, and then slowly, slowly closing.

"Long time no see."

By the way the screen darkens, you know that Dream has finally blacked out, but he's safe now.

ken rome shiv dynamic in s4 is truly so insane to me. btw. in previous seasons their relationships were established as hostile, or at least competitive, so there wasn’t much holding them back. But s4 is different bc they start out attempting to be friends, which is both appealing/comforting to them, as well as restrictive to their ambitions. it was kind of!! excruciating!! to watch them stick bandaids on fractures that were forming between them (the “we’re sorry shiv” group hug in Living+…..) just so they could at least superficially maintain the Happy Healthy Sibling Bond, even as it became more and more ludicrous to uphold as they were drawn to prioritize themselves over each other, in increasingly betraying ways. they wanted to keep the alliance together, while at the same time shaping it for their own purposes. and they kept trying to do this, until it fell apart in their hands. Ooh my god. they loved each other, AND they wanted to express it, AND they openly admitted this.. but so what, if they would never prioritize it? if they were playing in a system where choosing it would never be the smart move? if there was only one crown and only one of them could wear it? they could never maintain any sort of meaningful action stemming from their love, so it made no difference that they felt it, and their gestures of affection were just gestures. idk… they’re sooo… i can’t wait to feel unwell about them for ever and ever

So it seems this unusual behavior started when the pod’s matriarch, known to researchers as Gladis, was struck and injured by a boat propeller. The most viable theory is that Gladis then lashed out in an act of extreme frustration. Subsequently, she either taught her offspring the same behavior or—more likely—they observed her and decided to try it out for themselves. Mimicry is a huge part of how intelligent, highly social cetaceans like killer whales learn.

Since most of the attacks are perpetrated by youngsters, I’m honestly chalking it up to kids being dumb. Orcas, especially as juveniles, are very playful and very destructive, and this is all a super fun game. Far less likely, but still possible I suppose, is that they now truly see the boats as threats and are neutralizing them.

As fun as the memes about the orca uprising have been, there is no malice or vengeance at work here. To claim so is blatant anthropomorphism (but hey, people anthropomorphizing killer whales, what else is new). Hopefully, the behavior dies down soon, before another orca is hurt by a propeller or, worse, humans decide to put an end to it.

Because if there’s one animal that practices revenge, it’s the human being.

yknow the adult version of Telly reminds me- wonder what they'd be like when they're a teen? Going through any silly phases?

(rubs my evil devilish hands together) oh boy, I got that all planned out too, I can imagine anything.

I've mentioned before that Telly goes on to become a movie director as an adult, but I skipped over the whole shit storm they went through to get there. Telly's always been interested in film because of their dad and always wanted to grow up to be just like him, however Mr Puzzles SUCKS at accepting that people don't always want to work for him or that they need his help.

Because Telly is his kid, he basically thinks that Telly getting into film is just to help him with his projects, and he would likely employ Telly once they become an adult. The idea that Telly may want to go on and make their own films doesn't really occurred to him. It's not out of malicious intentions or anything, if anything its the opposite, he genuinely thinks he's helping them out and setting them up to work with him when they're older so that they never have to worry about their future.

Telly doesn't want that though, they want to be able to make their own movies by themselves, but because they can't communicate well, nor do they want to hurt their dads feelings (he's already overly emotional), they don't say anything about it and just let it build and build into resentment.

In short:

Don't worry it does get sorted and Telly gets to make their own stuff by themselves in the end (it actually ends up being better than Mr Puzzles stuff), it is basically just a phase they don't hate each other at all, just you know, growing up ain't easy for anyone involved lol.

As for actual phases? Uhhhh

Ummm, been kinda numb these last few days so I've been coping by drawing these two idiots with textboxes I've found on Pintrest.

They're pretty much in order of the progression of their relationship.

From what was supposedly just going to be a one-night stand after a chance meeting in the bar - with Crosshair wanting to feel something after being left behind by his brothers and Tay just finding Crosshair attractive for beating him at darts (stupid, yes but he likes people who are better than him at something) - to Tay becoming hopelessly devoted to Crosshair and the two of them finding peace and purpose again on Pabu and having their own little family with their adopted daughter, Akona-Mae :)

Yay for happy endings 🎉

Crosshair is reunited with his family again and finally has a sense of peace and belonging outside of being a soldier, and in turn, Tay finally has his freedom and a family again instead of ending up dead in a arena :D

Anywho I love them.

God. What if Pandora didn’t want to open the box. What if she was manipulated, her hands tied to and guided by strings she couldn’t shake off. What if when she released the horrors out into the world, Hope chose to stay with her, in the box. What if Pandora couldn’t rid herself of that guilt. What if Hope couldn’t convince her that not all was lost, and that she wasn’t responsible for the strings around her hands. That she wasn’t a monster.

What if Pandora and Hope found a way to trap everything in the box again. What if Pandora couldn’t do it. What if she didn’t want anyone else to feel the guilt she did. What if she thought that trapping the horrors in the box would just doom everyone into the same cycle. What if she felt she had to break it by bearing the suffering of everyone else. What if Hope tried to convince her that it could be better. What if she wouldn’t save herself. What if Hope had to kill Pandora for a chance to save everyone, including her. What if they both were sealed in the box. What if no one ever knew what happened to them. What if their last words to the world and to each other were “I love you.”

What if the world ending was never Pandora’s fault, but in her guilt and grief she blamed herself for it, and the Hope that voluntarily stayed by her side had to take her life to save it.
