My initial plans for the character that takes Tails' place in the Roseverse/Roseswap verse was to use Cream. Then I realized that Cream would be, like, a baby during the Classic Era. But you know who seems to be around Amy's age? Trip!

So, the idea is that Trip is to Roseverse!Amy what Tails is to Gameverse!Sonic. She (and Cream) is Amy's best friend and side-kick.

My current thought is that Trip was originally meant to be the guardian of the Black Onix/Northstar Islands, but left--possibly on a journey of self-improvement, or maybe because she couldn't take the pressure of being guardian. During the Roseverse version of Superstars, she returns home to see that another familiar face has taken her place as guardian, and so she's kept to staying with Amy for a while..

As a result, Trip adventures with Amy even in the Modern Era, but she does visit Northstar from time-to-time.

Continuing the Amyswap AU (better name pending) that I've mentioned before, I have a few ideas on how to handle the Sonic Adventure 2 changes, especially Maria and Shadow.

Firstly, since Maria is so tied-up with Mainverse Gerald's story, I've decided that she's being changed so she can be an active player in the story to a degree. Instead of having died 50 years ago, she's a kid/teen who's still alive presently, being Gerald's niece. She's still sick, and is in danger if she doesn't get cured. That's part of Gerald's reasoning for conquering the world; he wants to make a perfect, safe world so that when she gets cured, she'll have a world worthy of her. Maria would be horrified by the lengths he goes for her, and could possibly choose to join Team Amy if she learned the truth.

Shadow actually swaps places with a surprising face: Sage! Since Sage was created by Eggman and Eggman swapped with Gerald, it only makes sense that their creations would swap too. Sage is a hedgehog created thanks to a combination of the Black Arms DNA, powerful technology, and studies of the Hidden Palace Zone mural depicting a future Amy. Sage was made to help Eggman conquer the world, but due to G.U.N.'s raid on the Ark, Eggman's death, and being captured on Prison Island, this never came to pass. Gerald would later find her and recruit her to help with his cause. Cue Amy Adventure 2...

Rouge's place is taken by none other than Knuckles. Knuckles is a treasure hunter who believes in keeping powerful artifacts out of the hands of those who would abuse them, as well as in the hands of the cultures they belong to. Tricked by Professor Gerald, he comes to the conclusion that the professor is gathering Chaos Emeralds so he can disable the ARK once and for all. Of course, Gerald says he needs the Master Emerald to commence with his plan. As a result, he ends up in a conflict against the Master Emerald's guardian, Rouge the Bat...

I think this would be an interesting way to turn the table on the typical plot. Sage has a very different perspective than Shadow, Maria being around would make things unexpected, and Knuckles has a chance to show off those treasure hunting skills he mentioned back in Sonic Riders!

Whats been your favourite AU or fic in general you've written?

I've had a few. Roseswap is a fun one, and I've been turning that one into a fic. Been really getting into the folktales of Remnant au, only because I have plans that I really want to do with it. But I think the au I wrote for ladybug week is still my all-time favorite.

My favorite idea for Maria in the Roseswap AU is that, since she was born later in the timeline so she keep the same relationship with Gerald (roughly making her around 10 to 13 or so in the present day), she's still alive. Gerald has her in a special, top secret lab where she's kept out of harm's way and is treated with the best ideas he can come up with to cure her.

Eventually, he ends up reactivating some of his grandfather Ivo's old assistant robots and lets them keep her company. As a result, prior to Shadow's creation, Orbot and Cubot are her friends. (Of course, Shadow becomes her *best* friend when he's created.)

I'm not sure when Amy would get to meet her, but I think Gerald wouldn't want them to meet, lest Maria learn the harsh things he's done in the past.

some doodles i never posted here - an idea for my Roseswap AU, where Winry is Rose’s childhood friend but ends up bound to the suit of armor after the transmutation to bring back Rose’s boyfriend and/or Winry’s parents.

having a body that never tires is useful for 24/7 automail work for Rose, but that’s the only big positive here... poor winry..

I got discouraged at not being able to make Armor-Winry distinct enough from Armor-Ed or Alphonse outside of adding nonsensical eyelashes. aw well...

Heyyyyy new UF AU time! This one has been thrown around a bit on here and on the UF Discord before but I figured it was finally time to draw fucking designs for the damn thing. So here we have what I like to call the Roseswap AU! The big main gist in this AU is that Gems are swapped around with various humans. I’ll go over each of those changes down below (keep in mind that p much all  of the “Gems” go by their human names in this AU (its a fun trend that Steven started), but their gem types will be in parenthesis. Same goes for the humans, with their human names first but the characters they actually are in UF canon in parenthesis: 

Steven (or Pink Quartz): Formerly Pink Diamond, former leader of the Crystal Gems, Rose’s father Dipper (or Pearl): Skilled in strategy and swordfighting, is hella gay for Steven Mabel (or Amethyst): Second youngest member of the Crystal Gems; rowdy, creative and free spirited Stanford (or Garnet): Fusion of Stan (Ruby) and Ford (Sapphire); made of brotherly love 

Prela Spears (Pearl): Intelligent 12 year old who’s a bit too curious and uptight for her own good Amy Whipper (Amethyst): Prela’s relatively new stepsister; a total mischief maker Rubella Garnett (Ruby): Amy’s great aunt who’s taking care of the girls for the summer; runs a gem in the middle of the woods that totally isn’t a front for some mysterious business... Sophie Garnett (Sapphire): Rubella’s ex wife who was estranged for her for years; they’re slowly starting to rekindle their relationship though

Rose Maheswaran: Daughter of Steven and Connie, youngest member of the Crystal Gems Greg DeMayo: A rather sheltered kid who seeks more adventure and freedom; is head over heels for Rose Connie Maheswaran: Rose’s mother and Steven’s partner; a responsible, but reasonable parent who’s supportive of her daughter’s endeavors  Brittany DePoint (Bismuth): A local rich girl who softens up after kindling a close bond with Perla Nellie Juvinate (Spinel): Town darling with some more sinister motives in mind Lucy Lasil (Lapis): A chill teen who works at Rubella’s gym Dottie Magnett (Peridot): A teen who also works at Rubella’s gym; absolute weeb Juniper (June) Helmetson (Jasper): A punk teen often seen as the town bully, especially in the eyes of the younger kids

Pacifica (or Bismuth): A long lost member of the Crystal Gems Soos (or Peridot): A recent recruit to the Crystal Gems; their tech specialist who can fix anything Gideon (or Spinel): A Gem who comes to earth seeking vengeance against Rose in particular for some unknown reason (also, a Gremlin) Robbie (or Jasper): A Gem renowned on Homeworld for being ruthless and cruel Wendy (or Lapis): A Gem the kids found and freed from a mirror, seeking freedom

So yeah this AU is a fun concept I went overboard with. Feel free to ask any questions you might have on it!

Protectors of Atlas: Ruby was killed in Beacon amd brought back as an android to protect Atlas from Salem

Summer: She’s completely forgotten about Ruby!

Blake: And I still think you’re overreacting.

Summer: I’m not! *turning to face Weiss* You believe me, right?

Weiss: *smiling like an idiot as she looked at Summer* Yes, yes I do.

Summer: *looking curiously at Weiss* Everything okay?

Weiss: *hesitating for a moment as she realized what was going on, trying to compose herself and quickly looking at a book to study from* Y-yes, everything’s fine. I believe you that there’s something wrong but I think Blake is right and we… we shouldnt worry too much about it.

Summer: *getting up and heading to Ozpin’s office* I’m going to get down to the bottom of this.

Blake: *leaning over to Weiss* Smooth.

Weiss: *blushing harder and groaning as she dropped her head onto her book* Why cant I just talk to her?

Blake: *smirking* Because you’re a useless gay?

Weiss: I dont want to hear it from you.

Qrow: What do you think they’re talking about?

Raven: *putting her ear against Ozpin’s door* If you’d shut up, I could tell you.

Qrow: We should just go in there-

Raven: And what? Get caught?

Tai: *sitting down and watching his teammates* Listening through the door is never going to work.

Raven: Just quiet down-

[The door opens with Ozpin at the rest of Ruby’s teammates]

Ozpin: Well, seems like Miss Rose was right.

Raven: *quickly pulling away from the door* W-we were just-

Qrow: *pulling out a scroll from his back pocket* We just wanted to capture a few memories of our favorite places.

Ozpin: *not believing a word out of Qrow’s mouth* And so you decided to listen in on a private conversation in order to do so?

Tai: Look, we’re just worried about Ruby and wanted to make sure she was safe.

Ozpin: *nodding* Well, since you’re here and have listened in, I think it’s time for you to know the truth.

Qrow, Tai, and Raven: *all looking at Ozpin curiously* The truth?

Ozpin: Why dont you all come in and tell me your favorite fairy tales.

Ruby: *smiling as she looked at her huntress licence on her scroll* I cant believe we did it. We actually graduated.

Raven: You say that like we shouldn’t have.

Ruby: *sighing and pulling out a notepad* Do you want the reasons why in chronological or alphabetical order?

Raven: ...okay, you have a point.

Tai: *putting his hands on Raven’s and Ruby’s shoulders* Oh lighten up. We had a few missteps here and there, but we all put in the work to graduate. I think this calls for a celebration!

Qrow: And by celebration, you mean going to the bar and failing to get a date, right?

Tai: Exactly.

Qrow: Screw it, I’m in.

Tai: That’s the spirit! Raven? Ruby? You in?

Raven: You know what? Sure. I could use a night to cause a little trouble.

Ruby: I cant. Ozpin needs me for a mission tomorrow.

Qrow: Wait, seriously? He’s asking you on a mission already? You just graduated.

Ruby: *finishing packing up her things* He did. But I’ll be finished in a couple days and I can celebrate with you guys then.

Raven: *feeling a bit dejected* A-alright then. Dont have too much fun without us.

Ruby: *rushing off with her pack* Wouldnt dream of it!

Tai: *watching Ruby leave* Well, that’s a bummer. I was hoping she’d come with us.

Raven: Have you guys noticed how strange she’s been acting?

Qrow: What do you mean?

Raven: It’s like she’s a different person from who we met when we started here.

Tai: *shrugging* People grow up.

Raven: Yeah but… I dont know, something seems off ever since she talked to Ozpin about those memory issues she’s been having.

Qrow: Now that you mention it, she’s been going to his office a lot.

Tai: So, what exactly are we going to do?

Raven: I think it’s time we follow her to see what she’s up to.

Summer: *barging into Ozpin’s office* What did you do to Yang?

Ozpin: *not looking up from his paperwork* You’ll need to leave-

Summer: *pulling out a knife and throwing it at his desk* You did something to her and I need to find out what.

Ozpin: *sighing and looking up* All I did was help set her mind to ease.

Summer: She’s forgotten about Ruby.

Ozpin: And as far as this world is concerned, Ruby is no longer among the living.

Summer: *glaring* Fix Yang.

Ozpin: *looking up at Summer* I have. I’ve taken her mind off Ruby so that way she isnt consumed with trying to find someone that is no longer here. Now, she can focus on her classes and the Vytal Tournament, just like you should.

Summer: Not until I find out what happened to Ruby.

Ozpin: Even I dont know what happened to her. Wherever she went, it wasnt anything I knew about. To this day, I wish I had known she was planning to leave so I could stop her. Now, I advise you to focus on your studies while you’re here. Clearly, the gods want you here for a reason.

Summer: *holding out her hand as a bracelet glows, the knife she threw coming back to her* I will get down to the bottom of this.

Ozpin: For now, I want you to stay out of this. Graduate, and then we’ll talk.

Summer: *angrily leaving the office*

Ozpin: *sighing* Just like Ruby…
