hey dils!! was listening to sunshine riptide and thought of u so i wanted to say i hope ur taking care and also ask if u have any favorite fob videos/interviews?? lately i have been obsessed w the promo video patrick did for the honda civic tour where he drove around LA and said the only reason they got the tour was because he already drove a civic ahsjdbd

first of all it is SO flattering that listening to sunshine riptide made you think of me 🥺

secondly i was molded out of clay to answer this question, 100% i have a lot that i think about like way too often

the one where petes giving a tour of his parents house where he lived at the time and was showing off his stuff and was particularly very excited about the fact that his band was turned into action figures and then half way through andy shows up and is like "were best friends forever!" and petes like "yeah andy comes over for sleepovers a lot, we hang out in my basement and make zines and stuff" and then at the end he gets all excited cuz he hears his moms car pull up and he goes out and shes coming out of the car and then patrick gets out of the car carrying groceries and petes like "here mom me and patrick can put the groceries away you finish the interview" and shes like "no- pete i just got home from work im a mess" and hes like "what? no! no mom you look great, you can finish the interview well take in the groceries" and then she did and the camera crew came back to the two of them messing around and putting groceries away.

"pete wentz is honestly the only way to describe pete wentz. hes the most complicated guy i know." [cut to] "if anyone can make a strike without touching the lane i will pay you $300" *throws bowling balls straight into the air* *runs down the lane*

ok but in all seriousness i love that interview not only for that iconic moment but because later the footage is like blaring i dont care and pete goes and grabs a stuffed giraffe out of the prize thingie and hes like "what do you mean :)? we bought this with our tickets!!" and the editors are very much trying to make it a bad boy rebel without a cause moment except if you looked the woman behind the counter had a smile on her face and was laughing and then afterwards he gave it back and said "we werent really gonna steal it" but it really seemed like she knew that already

and then at a different point a couple fans showed up and they were all shy and excited to meet him and he was just like "hey are you guys coming to the show later" and they were like "yeah" and he was like "cool! thanks for coming out :) do you want a picture?" and they took a picture and it seemed like he was still kinda excited that people were excited to meet him. marcus (their bodyguard) was like trailing behind him and smiling and laughing throughout most of these antics and i just think thats sweet.

later in this same interview once again as they were on the ride back to their hotel or whatever theyd brought back a fake moustache and patrick put it on and did a bunch of dumb impressions.

patrick: if i wasnt doing music i think id be like a music critic or music journalist or something

andy:...i thought you said youd work at walmart

theres this one srar era interview thats just joe and patrick riffing for like 15 minutes. like it looks like they just straight up forgot the interviewer was there its so funny theyre such good friends.

this one joe and pete interview where i dont even really remember what they were talking about but theres a moment where joes talking about music with this intense passion and pete just kinda looks at him with this level of brotherly pride that keeps me going

this one andy and pete interview where 1) there were waterfowl chillin behind them which was deeply fascinating to andy and 2) they took a moment to swivel their chairs and hug each other bc theyre besties

band superlatives, specifically the moment where theyre all separately like "technically marcus isnt in the band but like. its marcus." bc that was sweet, unofficial 5th member of fob. and also "whos the most talented" "patrick. patrick. its patrick, hands down." "hm. petes like a really good soccer player" like thats a moment out of a fucking sitcom

halloween asmr with pete wentz. the man cant act but god can he commit to a bit.

there was this like live text chat that they all were in with fans on some radio station website. there were a lot of very fun moments, including joe saying "this is very current technology." as a comment on how very dated the live chat was and andy being like "can we set an icon i wanna change mine to an XVX" and pete and joe being like "oh are you vegan straight edge? we had no idea." and then pete was like "actually i wanna change my icon to andy hurley" and andy was like "no pete im not gonna send you a picture of me" and he was like :( and then a minute later he changed it to andy and he was like, and i swear this is almost a direct quote "BOOM! i love my life haha" and andy was like "goddammit" like i have no idea where to find this but it was so good.

theres this one "this or that" interview with joe and andy wherein the interviewer was a woman and like she seemed pretty at ease around them and got to the last question and imo seemed kinda uncomfortable and kind of established (in a way that seemed like she didnt usually do that) that it was a gross question, which was "would you have sex with a super hot celebrity but shes just died" and both of them were like "hey. what the fuck. absolutely not." and shes like "oh thats a first" and they are both like "do people say yes to that????????" and shes like "youre literally the first people to say no haha" in a way that made it seem that she did not find it funny and i just find that to be an interesting moment and i hope shes doing well and has a better producer now.

theres this one interview w andy on a hardcore podcast where the interviewer asks andy "do you every wish fall out boy were more political?" and he said (paraphrasing) "fall out boy is political, in its own way. we may not be as explicit with our politics as my other stuff, but kids find fall out boy, and through me, with all my other bands, or through joe, since he does a lot of metal, find heavier stuff, and are introduced to this stuff and to being vegan straight edge or anarchist or just more radical politics, and i dont think that just because we arent being super political in our music we arent a political band" which was really something to me bc i had just been thinking about that as a concept i call "gateway punk"

theres this one interview i recently found of a very small chicago music news outlet where a young lady interviewed pete and asked far more interesting questions than any other interviewer id ever seen and one such question was how he felt about the legalization of marijuana in illinois and he said that it was cool that it was legal but everyone locked up for it right now should be released and i like that he got to be political

theres a moment on the badass jew podcast episode joe was on where the interviewer whomst i do not recall was espousing some veiled antiblack sentiments wrt some antisemitic comments some famous black people had made and joe just completely rebutted it immediately and pointed out that black people not only are not a monolith bht are at a greater disadvantage

and also he made a joke that i could never make and cant fully get bc im not jewish but it was very funny and i love hearing people make jokes that arent for me.

this one interview before patrick had kids where he was saying how everyone kept asking him and elisa when theyd have kids and he was like "you cant just make that happen yknow? how do you just do that?" and pete immediately grinned and leaned over and mock whispered "you have sex" and patrick punched the air and was like "i hate you so much"

that one interview about abap where pete was like "we actually got the guy who did the whistles on patience by guns n roses to do it on this" and then he looks over at patrick and patrick shakes his head and petes like "you couldnt let me have this?" and he was like "i was gonna but then you looked at me and i just couldnt."

Love Holiday: Raan and Liza

Alaska was cold, but not so cold that it would breakaway the warmth which engulfed my heart. The warmth of unrequited love, the sacred intimacy I shared with the nincompoop whose muscular arms were wrapped around me......his face on my shoulder as I heard him snore softly while i watched the beautiful snow shine in moonlight. 

“Babe why you still up?” Raan asked sleepily..

I giggled to myself  and wrapped his arms rather forcefully around my body. He felt Safe......he felt home.

“Lizza?” 

“Gosh Raan what?”

all of the sudden, he jolted up and somehow he was on top of me and smirking, proud of his little victory. then he leaned closer...his  eyes full of love...he kissed my forehead.

“Now Lizza tell me whats going in that brain of yours”

“what if I dont tell you?” I challenged him.

He looked at me with his eyes narrowed which felt like forever. After some time he cocked up his brow and smirked down on me. then he got up and started dancing around.....without music.

“Raan its 3 AM in the morning....what the hell?”

“Ah Lizz I know it. you are thinking how could you get this lucky” his finger gestering to himself.

“You are an idiot” i said...laughing.

“Yet you love me” and with that he jumped onto the bed...tickling my dear life out of me.

“Raan stooooooooooop” i finally managed to say between taking breaths and laughing. 

“then tell me whats going on in your mind” Raan pleaded. Still in a position which screamed that if I didnt tell him....I would end up Dying; tickled by her boyfriend. How would the news paper headline look like? 

* a woman from Iceland dies of being tickled by death by her boyfriend; Police Departments have dived deep in investigation*

“LIZZIEEEEEEEEEEEE* Raan screamed in whispers....bringing me back to reality......our reality......

I exhaled.......tears fighting to break out from their cages......my heart swelling with ecstasy my soul yearning for this nincompoop’s warm embrace.

“Raan.....so many years.... so many trials and tribulations....so many times...so many people tried breaking us......i doubted you...we fought...we screamed.....yet you stayed .....so that we could be us. so that we could get that “us” working....Raan thank you.....Raan you were there for me when i was heartbroken Raa-” By this time Tears had broken free, they were no longer prisoners of my eyes...but who freed them were my emotions and those crazy neuro hormones and oxytocin which literally in every milli-liter of them had Raan’s essence embedded in them.......and i couldnt speak anymore. My irrational sentiments had taken full control over me. 

Raan looked at me....dumbfounded....eyes all round and big with surprise........as if...as if he had been knocked out of this world.....his shoulders slumped.....his forehead...full of wrinkles.....like all those times when he was trying focus hard on something. 

And now.....all of the sudden he regained his composure....like....as if he had broken out of some kind of trance......he straightened himself up...sat beside me and helped me get up.

“Lizza go wash your face. You know I hate it when you cry. you know that right?” Raan told me sternly as he held my arm and helping me get up.....without meeting my eyes. 

when he was sure that I would not fall or lose my balance...he left my arm and walked towards the bathroom, opened the bathroom door and gestured me to get inside. I looked at him.....with concern.....he always looked me in my eyes...but not this time. Why?

I went inside the bathroom and locked it from inside. i was shocked. shocked at Raan’s indifferent behavior. What was wrong with Raan? My Raan? I cried some more. all my emotions...which i always kept bottled up inside....just came out.....why? I had never allowed myself to be this weak...then why today? on this holiday? 

i couldnt be this weak. i had to be strong...for Raan, for my family....for Juni, for lina....arent they my world? my friends and my family?

I got up and went to wash my face up....i quickly washed my face and splashed more water on my eyes....I had always hated how my eyes had stung after I cried.

after what seemed like eternity.... I finally had the courage to open the door and go out. With my waves jumping around my face (Juni litreally forced me too and Lina gladly did them) I got out of the bathroom. Inhaling a long breath and exhaling.....I finally closed the bathroom door behind me and forced a smile on my face. i was always so good at masking my true self. 

“Raan?”

no answer

I called him again.

he must have gone out to the bar of hotel to relax. I thought to myself.

I need fresh air to relax too. i told to myself. I looked at the balcony of our hotel room. Grabbing a warm sweater....his jacket......and throwing it on my shoulders...i slid the door and stepped onto the balcony and took a long a deep breath. 

“Maybe my aunt is right... I do need yoga to calm myself down....I will enroll in a good yoga and meditation classes as soon as I go back home” I said to myself out loud.

But I slowly calmed myself down as breeze hit my face and made my hair fly. I liked the breeze.....coz I was like breeze. Always going with the flow and taking where the destiny would take me...and yes...enjoying it and appreciating it.....ofcourse.

My head was buried deep in my thoughts when I felt something very soft and velvety on my hair and face. I picked one of those many small delicate things which was sitting on my nose and scrutinized it. It was a rose petal. I turned around and more rose petals hit my face gently.....Raan looked at me and gave a little peck on my lips. I was in a trance......trying to figure out what he was doing.....and then...it happened.......

He bent on one knee and took out the red box and opened it.......it had the most beautiful ring....in it....Hold..on.....what?

“Raan dont tell me its the same ring I had marveled when we where in turkey!”

I stared at the nincompoop who was bending down...in front of me biting his lips to conceal his smirk. 

he looked at me with that mischievous look in his eyes.......

“Raan.....”

“ I knew you were the woman I saw my future with....”

“Raan.....you waited to propose for 3 years?” it was more of a confused question to me than to him.

“ I saw how much u loved the ring....so i bought it...I thought i should propose you....but.....i couldnt find the right time for it...till this night.....”

“Babe...”

“Lizzie...will you marry me?”

“IS THAT EVEN A QUESTION?” I screamed on him as I jumped at him to hug him...but he lost the balance and we fell. 

“HO HO HO  love......i am taking that as a Yes.” He said as he slipped the ring in my finger....while we still were on the floor.

we stayed on the floor, me in his arms admiring the ring....my engagement ring while he just played with my hair.

“you know what Raan?”

“mmhmmmm?”

“You are a Gadha”

“And where did you learn that from LIza?” 

“Someone taught me that years ago”

“And who exactly is that idiot?”

• I loved Julie and Flynn's friendship (literally their introductions were great), but I also loved the dynamic between Julie and Ray, I mean like... Ray was so supportive and happy for Julie, even though she snuck out, and he cared so much about her being able to pursue music like she wanted to that he was looking for new schools with music programs the moment he found out she wouldn't be let back in, and this man was literally ready to up and move his whole life to a new house just because Julie had wanted to move. Not to mention just the rest of their interactions. Idk, he's just... a really good dad, and I loved the portrayal of a good father-daughter relationship.

Chapter 5

Yara

The 5 hour flight was well worth it. The crisp Cali air felt so good against my skin. N.E.R.D’s “Love Bomb”, blasting in the car while my hair blowed out the window as it sped. I was so happy to be here. Especially with her.

“What’s wrong with you?”, Syd asked while turning the volume down.

I started giggling.

“I’m just excited,that’s all”, I said then stuck my tougue out.

“Crazy bitch”, Syd laughed then turned the radio back up.

Me and Syd been talking for a while and we always wanted to see each other. I know she makes music, but she never shows me any of it, so I was like I’m coming out there. She did'nt believe me, but here I am. I’m also like besties with her bro, Taco. Were perfect. Steph moving out to Cali, made it easier to come see her. Also Aaron or should I say ASAP Rocky, and his rapping, he’s peforming at Coachella this year. I swear Steph lives under a rock, she knows nothin, I did'nt tell her about Syd either.

“Were here.”, Syd said turning into a parking lot of loft apartments. I was in awe looking at the location and realizing the beach was right across the street.

“This is beautiful”, I said out loud.

Lugging suitcases, we walked inside and her apartment was dimmed. She clicked something and turned on blue,green and pink lights that was hanging on the walls.

“Like it dark…keeps the mood,” she said smiling.

I laughed, poked her, then dropped my bags.

I walked to the living room and seen a small T.V placed on a table, underneath a collection of Cds. I then turned around and saw what obviously must have been her santuary.

“Wow”, I said, running my fingers along the piano keys. Her mircophone, along with piano all hooked up to the computer. A bunch of wires on the floor.

“Sick right?”, she said then clicked the mouse to the computer.

“Are you gonna show me something finally?”, I said smiling.

“Maybe”, she said scrolling down her music list on Itunes.

“But first…”

She put on a instrumental to some song. It was so mellow, and nice. Then she turned around with this look.

“What?”, I said grinning.

“Come here,” she said, grabbing my waist, pulling me closer, then kissed me. The kisses got more passionate. The heat in the room increased as I felt her hand slowly pull up my shirt. As her cold hand faintly touched my stomach, I moaned. She smiled in the middle of the kiss.

“Let’s go”, she said pulling my hand into a room.

“Get on don’t be a bitch”, I told Stephanie as I sat on the bike. She looked scared as shit.

“If I die, I’m gonna hunt you as a ghost and make your underwear float and shit”, she said as she wobbled on the handle bars.

She had today off and I was almost done with my album. All I needed to do is legal shit. Today was the perfect day to just chill. Ever since that day at Starbucks me and her got closer. She told me she had a boyfriend but he’s a faggot so she’s considered single in my eyes. I laughed then took off as soon as she sat firm.

“OH SHIT!”, she screamed as I swerved the bike barely missing a parked car.

I kept peddling. I can faintly smelt the scent of roses as she leaned back.

Good shit.

“Where are we going?”, she asked.

“You’ll see”, I said turning into a path full of wood chips. Most of it is forest but when you keep going you’ll see the lake. One of my favorite places. Usually me and the gang would come here and do some crazy shit, but this was mostly my place where I just come to think and shit. 5 minutes later when we reached it I stopped the bike.

“This is beautiful..”, she said jumping off. I dropped the bike and walked with her toward the water. It was fucking hot today but I was wearing a pink Thrasher hoodie, black jeans, and my blue Vans. At least she was dressed right with some high waisted shorts shit, white tank top, and some sandals. I saw her looking up to the sky.

“What?”, I asked as I approached her.

“It’s gonna rain”, she said then looked toward the water.

“You ever get inside?”, she motioned to the water.

“Nah, I have fucking asthma!”, I said.

“That doesnt mean anything dip-shit!”, she said taking her sandals off and putting her foot in the water, making the water swirl.

“OMG! Look at that!”, she screamed out nowhere.

I looked.

“There’s nothing fuc-”

Then the bitch pushed me in the water.

“YO I CANT SWIM AHHHHHHH!!!!”, I said lying my ass off and screaming. I took my sweatshirt off and grabbed my hat which was floating. She was dying laughing. Then I grabbed her leg.

“AHHHHH!!”, she screamed as she splashed inside. We both started laughing.

“Tyler you asshole!!!”, she said getting hold of herself. The water was a little deep. She started ringing her hair out. Then I grabbed her and put her on my back. Her tits felt great.

Then I heard voices coming from a distance.

“Yo someone’s coming”, I said in a low tone putting her down. She looked and we both saw the bushes move.

“Shit ummm”, she looked behind her.

“Let’s go over there,” she swam toward some rocks. After a few agonizing minutes the voices got loud and clear.

“No one will ever find out.”

“What about her? She aint shit. All her and that bitch have here is me. There not going nowhere. Now do what your paid to do.”

Me and Stephanie couldnt help but watch and here everything that was happening. Wait…isnt that her dad?

I could'nt believe what I heard, and was seeing. As I saw the lady bob her head back and forth, sucking that niggas dick, my anger was boiling. My skin immediatly got red and my breathing got faster.

“Yo I cant believe your dad-”

“He’s not my fucking father.”, I said the angry tears already falling.

“Shit, dont cry”, Tyler said grabbing me closer. We were still in the water, and the sun was now being covered by clouds, like nature was in the situation that just occured.

“The shit that’s fucked up is that he’s right.”, I said now really crying. Hurt the fact it was true and that my mom was helpless.

“You have me, Stephanie. And the niggas gonna get what he deserves.”, Tyler said, wrapping his arms around me.

I woke up the next morning, lying on my side snuggled in my covers. Then there was a knock at the door.

“What”

I opened my eyes and saw my mom slowly open the door, looking like she haven't slept in a year. The only time she bothered to come to me, was when he wasn't there.

“What time did he get home last night.”, I asked closing my eyes back, waiting for the answer.

“Stephanie you know he-”, already knowing she’s gonna explain why we shouldn't ask questions like that because blah blah blah.

“Mom…just stop.”, I said getting up.

She sighed.

“I made breakfast”, she said. I knew the routine. Every time Joe didn't come home, my mom made sure she became the “perfect” wife he wants. Food already on the table, clothes ironed…everything.

“Ok, I’ll be there in a few.”

I got up and checked my phone.

Tyler:Come to tha store at 12, there’s a surpriseeeeeee!

I couldnt help but smile. I mean he’s been having that effect lately. Funny thing is I havent seen Aaron since him and Yara came. Too busy “rapping”. Yara on the other hand been staying at her "babe’s” house. Who I havent even met yet. 

Realizing I had time I got on my laptop. Checking my email, one specifically stood out. Apparently the picture Lego took of me a long time ago, got a lot of reviews on his tumblr. I don’t know how the guy got my email but some guy wants me to model for him. Weird I never thought of myself as a model.

I clicked it.

As I looked, I realized it was legit. His name is Laith Herrera.

Yes and no, I have a dark past which I am still trying to get over, and given the chance i would love to make myself more confident, more able to love life and not be such a pain in the ass, but my life and all of its shit has brought me to the people i know and love today and i cant escape that fact, and i love the people who i do love all the more vigorously because I had such a shitty start, so in some ways it has been a blessing as well as a curse.

The colour scheme is pink and blue, to match my engagement ring and our favourite colours.

78 - Have you ever thought of killing someone? i had a really bad intrusive thought once about stabbing my abusive stepmother, but i am in control of myself so i put down the knife (it was a butter knife and wouldnt have done any harm anyway) and went into a other room and went back to finish my food later.
