The Heartbreakers (w/ Mo Green) Vs. Bamm Bamm & Cliff Compton Ohio Valley Wrestling [February 23rd, 2005]

Ohio Valley Wresting’s tag team division was white hot in 2005, with several teams emerging either from necessity or from grand design, the latter of which describes this duo. The Heartbreakers were a charismatic duo managed by the outlandish Mo Green, and would gain big momentum as 2005 raged on, eventually leading the duo to gaining a shot at MNM’s OVW Southern Tag Team Championship. Within two months, The Heartbreakers would debut in the WWE as The Heart Throbs, but they sadly wouldn’t gain the same level of success.

SAN BENEDETTO – Sul campo dell’ Imolese, terza in classifica, la Samb vuole ripartire dopo le sconfitte con Monza e Ravenna. La gara dell’ andata, infatti, rappresentò il trampolino di lancio di una squadra che dalle ultime posizioni in classifica arrivò meritatamente dentro i play off. Ora i rossoblù sono ad un punto dal decimo posto e quindi la lotta è ancora bella ed aperta,

“Gli emiliani –dice il tecnico rossoblù- giocano forse il miglior calcio della categoria e il loro tecnico ha la fortuna di guidare quel gruppo da due, tre anni. Spero che la sconfitta contro il Ravenna non vada a minare psicologicamente le nostre certezze. Quando li abbiamo affrontati all’andata non erano forse tatticamente maturi come lo sono ora. È una squadra che non ha fretta e non si muove finché non trovano lo spunto giusto. Sanno tenere palla quando lo devono fare e con questo lungo possesso aspettano il momento giusto per colpire. Ma anche l’ Imolese ha dei difetti che dovremo essere bravi a sfruttare. La Samb farà la sua partita e se ci esprimeremo al meglio metteremo in difficoltà i nostri avversari”.

Per quanto riguarda la formazione è probabile un ampio turn over in considerazione del fatto che la Samb sabato prossimo (diretta televisiva su Sportitalia alle 20.45) riceverà la visita del Fano. Il primo match di un doppio turno casalingo. Il 22 febbraio, infatti, al Riviera arriverà la Ternana. Si giocherà prima la gara di ritorno che quella di andata in programma al Liberati per il 6 marzo.

“Cambierò quattro o cinque giocatori –spiega Roselli- ci sono tre partite in sette giorni, ecco la motivazione di alcuni cambi. Più che di scelte si tratta di gestione. Porto l’esempio di Signori: se lo facessi giocare anche contro l’Imolese significherebbe farlo infortunare».

La Samb è reduce dall’ esonero di Enrico Nicolini e proprio dal Romeo Galli iniziò la cavalcata dei rossoblù di Stefano Colantuono e Italo Schiavi che collezionò nove vittorie consecutive nella regular season per poi battere ai play off per la C1 il Brescello. Le reti portarono le firme di Michele Sergi e Alessandro Teodorani. Mentre il gol del 2-1 dell’ Imolese fu messo a segno da Villa nel recupero.

La prima gara tra emiliani e rossoblù in programma il 25 maggio 1941 non fu disputato perché la Samb si ritirò dal torneo di serie C. Imolese e Samb si ritrovarono trenta anni dopo. Tre precedenti ed altrettante vittorie dell’ undici rivierasco, il bilancio. Il 4 gennaio 1970 l’undici di Natale Faccenda si impose per 1-0 con rete di Nicola Traini. 2-0, invece fu il punteggio in favore della Samb nel campionato 1970-1971. In vantaggio con Fabio Antonioli, il raddoppio fu firmato su rigore da Lucio Mongardi.

Nove mesi dopo, il 21 novembre 1971, è ancora 2-0 per i ragazzi di Faccenda. Risultato assegnato dal giudice sportivo. Pre-recorded Segment: Jake Awesome pulls up to an empty Shoneys irl owned by Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner in Acworth, Georgia and him and All Man have a very cinematic brawl with food and restaurant furniture ahead of their match at Heatwave, ultimately ending with All Man running away before Awesome can truly get his hands on him. The filming of this brawl was very similar to the pre-taped matches like Stadium Stampede or Firefly Fun House Match from Wrestlemania 36

June 20th, 2021: XPWEW star Slayer has been pronounced dead today after what is being declared as a suicide. Slayer’s final appearance on XPWEW was at the Lockdown 8 pay-per-view when he celebrated his daughter Lotus’ title win over The Deity in Madison Square Garden. Reports from his LD8 appearance were reported that he looked sickly and in very poor health. It’s apparent that Slayer has been battling a drug addiction since 2006 and many of those demons played out on screen. Fans of XPWEW have been wondering why Slayer has not been in the ring with his last match being against Jake Awesome at the Lockdown 7 pay-per-view. He will go down as one of the best ever

My goal has ALWAYS been to rid McGraw from XPWEW and now he's crossed the line with me! he's crossed the line with The Set and now we will eradicate Leoanrd McGraw from this mortal plane, I would take blissful pleasure in squeezing the life out of that... *a red and white truck enters the stage-way and in the front seat is The All Woman: Tenille Dashwood who pulls up and even bumps the ring as she drives into it, The Set (except Ruckus who isn't here tonight) just stare blankly, Tenille honks the horn and then, All Man jumps out of the back of the truck with a water hose that is spritzing milk. YES! All Man is spraying The Set with a MILK TRUCK right now on Friday Night Pyro! WHAT A MOMENT!!! Jake is soaked, Chrissy Rivera behind him avoiding the milk splash, Kotto and Myron are using their tag team titles as shields from the milk and Jordan Oliver and Siaka are sliding and slipping around, All Woman starts to grab cartons of milk from the crate inside the truck and fling them with speed at Jake and Rivera. After a full minute of non stop spraying; All Man stops to point at the Heatwave logo on the screen to signal a match between him and Jake at the upcoming pay-per-view in just 9 days. Unbelievable! What a perfect segment that obviously took heavy inspiration from the Kurt Angle 2001 segment with The Alliance.
