Finding out Lucifer and Lilith (even though they are no longer coupled) are my soul parents wasn't that much of a surprise, I always knew on some level. Just happy to get confirmation and am forever grateful they are with me in this life and the next!

No wonder Lucifer's energy reminded me of what Gods used to or Lord Krishna, he literally is my father! (Though it is also intimate because well they're Dieties)

#hughlander #at first i thought of hughie saying the first quote but the more i thought about it the more it made sense for it to be john HEAR ME OUT..#he was obviously trained to only enjoy the whole “american dream” so ofc that picture perfect look for him would be a woman next to him #while he himself is a piece of shit and cares only about his image he also just doesnt give a shit #(based on his behavior l8r on in the show) he also just doesnt care what anyone has to say especially since in his eyes he is THE strongest #no one can say anything to him and hes untouchable..which is why his odd obsession with hughie will prove to be zero issue #and while he tries to make a connection with hughie in his own overly possesive way hughie holds himself firm with his actions #(lowkey where things gets ooc oh well idc) homelander does try and make SOME sort of attempt in picking at his brain anf at hughie as to #figure out WHY he even is interested in “that loser” and in doing so he eventually finds that hughie for whatever stupid reason #notices that he GENUINELY does care about people and that its not some front like he really does and TRY to see some good in people #so john opens up slightly to him about what people at vought did to him as a kid and its those moments where homelander tries to make it-#light buy hughie looks at him and i mean really /looks/ at him and says “jesus thats fucked Im sorry” and john is absolutely dumbfounded #like so dumbfounded and the god honest yet short comment in regards to him opening up about his past #essentially john starts to feel what he always imagined what “feelings” are supposed to be and after a long time of him and hughie oddly #finding some sort of “middle ground” he tries to pull a move in a moment of odd peace amongst the two and hughie jerks back #john is so confused and i mean REALLY confused #he thought he read all those “signals” right based on the romantic films he was forced to watch why is hughie acting like this?#he doesnt want to even think about what this pain in his chest is and all he can ask is “why not?”

so hey guys i finished dungeon meshi yesterday and i'm still thinking about it

#ria.txt #i spoiled myself so at first i was like 'this is bonkers wtf are they doing in those last few chapters?????'#but then it was like. yeah. i see #love those ch when it's just clearly putting the squad into Situations #also. izutsumi #what i really liked was how tightly the protagonist and the deuteragonist were wound up in the overall themes #the plot the themes the conflict the characters it was very neatly connected #hence i am also now accidentally invested in whatever going on between laios and marcille #not just platonic not romantic not enemies i just think they work well tgt and deeply care for each other its great watching them develop #it's the leader + most trusted advisor / anxious girlfailure + the annoying freak she's somehow attached to vibes #haha that rabbit chapter with marcille. hahha i was like what the fuck man. it was funny and then boom whump [tears streaming down my face]#those shapeshifter chs were sooo much fun esp seeing other chara's perceptions of each other. stealing that #the changeling ones were great too elf senshi is the fucking funniest he looks sooooooo unserious #marcille's evolving perception with death starting with saving falin and saving the squad and her nightmares of outliving everyone-#-and her dad and her 'temper tantrum' and UGH when at the end she said she was fine with falin not coming back.... WAAA. OUGH.#i think dunmeshi handled the trope of 'prophecy of chosen one becoming king' pretty well and it makes sense why laios is the protag #the worldbuilding is so thoughtful as well i liked seeing different characters with different worldviews interact #very solid and well rounded series wooo #the main 4 has such a fun dynamic together #anyways. dunmeshi au.....#more like borrowing the worldbuilding bc charas are too nuanced for a one to one comparison #ren is like some prince of his own species but he's like 34th in line and no one cares about him so he fucks off to eat monsters #which is why he's both snobbish AND a total freak when it comes to his food taste #false is originally in for the money from ren and plans to scam him but unfortunately the cringefail swag captures her #martyn is Obnoxiously Clueless and thinks he's smart but he's not. he's resourceful but also pathetic and crazy #stress cant cook but she thinks she does so everyone goes (≖_≖ ) when she picks up a pot. they delegate her to killing and chopping duty #the mvp is iskall who keeps on saving everyone's asses and somehow has resources for everyone #i think ren is actually aware false is going to scam him but he has too much money to spend anyway and he thinks shes cool so he lets her??#and somehow she doesnt take the money and run. and goes back to eating monsters w/ the party. everyone is crazy

do you guys ever think abt v1 getting stained more and more with blood as they go thru hell and ending up looking like v2. like ik that not how it work but man even in death theyre still there yknow. like how v1 keeps v2 alive technically thru their arms.

I think you’ve lost the plot a little bit if you go on a whole thing about how Taylor Swift is more problematic than Lord Byron because rich people were not less likely to die of disease than poor people back then so really Lord Byron was just a regular guy. A: he was literally a baron and he treated women like shit in an era where the rich had even more systemic power over the poor and men had more systemic power over women. B: there are good reasons to criticize Taylor Swift but “unlikely to die of a fever due to modern medicine available to most people in the developed world” is a weird one. C: I know some people want her to be more active in politics but I don’t think that should involve commanding a unit in the Greek War of Independence (or any other conflict) despite lacking military experience. D: what???

this might just be me, but i can hear out basically every qsmp f/f ship. there isnt really any that sound wildly out of character to me. i dont dislike any of them. if the characters have met in canon, i see the vision. i get where every femslash qsmp ship (that i have seen) is coming from

Reading books about psychology and society and politics and such is fun because it really does hammer in that we have been having the exact same arguments for centuries, just wearing slightly different hats and different standards of what is or is not "normal" or "okay" to say

#we speak #reading a book on masculine identity from the year 1991. we really have been doing this for decades huh #“it is depressing to realize that nearly 40 years after the kinsey report attitudes on homosexuality have remained so hostile”#like yeah buddy we feel that way too #“i feel like some of these men are engaging in relationships because they feel the need for a more emotional connection”#“but they do not feel comfortable seeking that out from companions they do not share a romantic connection with”#yeah buddy youre feeling the effects of amatonormativity. that term hasnt been coined for you yet but youll enjoy it probably #its been 30 years and “men bottle up their emotions so that they can feel more masculine and less vulnerable”#is still like. The Big Thing. and yeah theres still weird cultural junk that insists you arent a man if youre too soft #this particular book takes the stance that masculinity is constructed and femininity is a more “default” state #but we think its less that and more like. both of these concepts of genders are constructed.#neither is necessarily more “natural” than the other but both come with baggage that will fuck with you one way or the other #something we've observed a lot is like. whether you conform or not the overarching gendered-ness of things #still causes trauma to people just by like. virtue of existing. virtue of telling people what the “right” way to be is #in a field that is primarily like. personality. feeling. what you enjoy doing or presenting like.#making categories for things that don't necessarily need to be categorized #we dunno. we think that if the guy who wrote this book didnt die in 2017 we would probably get along pretty well with him #he seems like a chill dude

#jay talkin #fargo #wrenchers #see hims face SEE HIMS FACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#i got the ability to access high enough quality of my shows to screenshot so i hope we r all ready for what that means #yall yr gonna see my BOYS from my TEEVEE #n e way can i talk abt russell's performance as wrench for a bit. well im going to and you cant stop me #there is so much he does with the subtleties of expression as wrench that truly is one of my favourite pieces of television acting #i already knew he was incredibly good at conveying something as simple as the light behind his eyes changing from his role in TWBB but like #we get so much more time w wrench and hes got a lot going on under that carefully constructed persona #that i feel like his ability as an actor shines soooooooo well #hes playing a man who is making a concentrated effort to be very reserved w his expressions imo. yet you see SO much emotion #hidden in slight changes in his eyes and the smallest movement in his face. he has absolute control and awareness of such minute details #its really astounding!!!!! i cant think of many actors who have that level of skill in the face!!#there are scenes where russells face does not perceptably move and YET his entire expression changes somehow #like he can change the light in his fucking eyes he can just EXUDE a feeling so strong it can hit u like a truck #which ofc makes any more outward shows of emotion from wrench even more palpable #and part of that performance being so good is you CAN see him change his expression towards numbers vs everything else!#whatever connection these two have be it purely coworkers or romantic or what it is SOLD in wrench's subtle expressions #(and for the record im team 'married couple' bc it was innnnn the damn script. but however anyone interprets is cool no worries ok)#i couldve pulled even more examples if id gone thru more scenes but i just had this one open at the time so. <3 #koff koff hack hack who said all that. mustve been a ghost. can u tell i rlly like this guys acting. i mean what. who keeps saying things
