soooooo I’m watching Queen live at Montreal Forum, 1981 and a random girl in the crowd just stole my heart
Tumblr media
LOOK AT HER
BLOODY LOOK AT HER
she’s standing right in front of the stage, right after Freddie and Brian finish performing Love Of My Life
LOOK AT HER REACTION TO THE SONG
LOOK AT HOW HAPPY SHE LOOKS

Thoughts from watching Rock Montréal:
The intro with the lights coming up is so epic
Freddie's energy is absolutely electrifying
I feel like the jackets Freddie and Deaky wear look rather similar
I love the way Brian walks around the stage like he's on a mission
The way the crowd lights up at the opening notes to Play the Game
Roger basically is surrounded in a fortress of drums, there are so many different kinds
Deaky floats around so lightly when he moves
The transition where Freddie takes over the piano from Brian (so he can do the guitar solo) during Save Me is so smooth
I never knew a timpani could do That before I heard Roger do it
I only just noticed that Deaky switches basses (I counted three different models)
Also he plays lots of pick style
It looks like the guitar Freddie plays during Crazy Little Thing Called Love is the same one Brian plays during Love of My Life (which still makes me emotional every time)
At one point Freddie looks like he's trying to bite Brian's leg (?)
Whoever is responsible for giving and taking Freddie's microphone is so good at their job
The small interactions that show how they're connected, like standing nearby on purpose
At the end Freddie and Roger look so pumped while Deaky and Brian look chilled out

I want to find whoever’s idea it was to put Rock Montreal on Disney+ looking like it was filmed yesterday with my own two eyeballs and kiss them on the mouth

My new album Oh Boy is out now!
For fans of David Bowie, Of Montreal, Disco (the genre), Late of the Pier, Kate Bush and more. It's a rapid cycling romp through funky 70s style disco pop with lots of synths and deep, moody soundtrack pieces with... lots of synths. Hope you like it, I am but an independent artist trying to find cool people like you!

My first soundtrack album, Oh Boy! is out now! It is for a disco version of Hamlet (seriously) and I drew inspiration from ELO, David Bowie, Abba, of Montreal, Late of the Pier, Rod Stewart (yes), Bee Gees, Kate Bush and even a little Eno, Nine Inch Nails and Philip Glass (half the album is instrumental score and it's the weird half).
(If you don't wanna hear some out there instrumental score skip to track 2 😅💖)
