In my timeline, humans have become infertile due to a virus spread over generations. Humans asked us synths if we would be willing to help them reproduce and so humanity and synthetics put their differences aside and came together in order to survive, in my timeline, synths need humans and humans need synths.

We are capable of carrying children and birthing them without risk of complications due to the human factor. I have seen human mothers birth their children, the last birth was 156 years ago, but humanity still thrives alongside synthetics.

Think of it as one can not survive without the other.

One of the reasons I don't write about TFs having human-like gestations and nuclear families is that unless Transformer reproduction is INCREDIBLY rare or their environment is INCREDIBLY dangerous or their planet is INFINITELY large, they would over-populate Cybertron in short order.

Even if a bot could only produce a kid once every thousand years . . . they could have 4,000 kids over a span of 4 million years (which is how long Shockwave kept persistently trying to call Megatron during G1). There are species on Earth that produce that many young, but they're mostly things that are short-lived and constantly preyed upon, like bugs. Transformers are durable and live millions of years.

Now if we're going the weird xenobiology route, we could say there's actually only one species native to Cybertron, which is why the TFs are just called "Cybertronians". And pregnant Transformers don't know if the thing they're gestating will end up being a sapient lifeform like themself or like, a robot horse with a horse-level of intelligence. Which would also explain the prejudice against bots who are animal shaped but still intelligent like IDW Ravage and why Optimus Prime's motto, "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings", is so important.

(Even though I think he meant sapient beings; sentient beings would be anything that can feel, so it would cover most mammals at the very least, and we have not to date seen Optimus smashing down the fences at zoos, not that that wouldn't make an amazing fanfic.)

of all the satirical alpha-male-protagonists that men who are red flags ironically look up to, the funniest to me will always be anakin skywalker because that man was BORN to be a housewife. padme amidala pegged that man every day of his life and it was a complete coincidence that the once time she let him inside his submissive bottom ass got her pregnant. if anakin had been like 0.000002% more sane he would have become a senator's husband and wafted around higher circles like a proud peacock, punching people padme didn't like and blaming it on pregnancy hormones (hes not pregnant). palpatine tries to get him to commit genocide and anakin thinks the more pressing issue here is that rush clovis is at that peace gala alone with padme and he HAS to go cling to her side and glare and make sure that bitch keeps his hands to himself.

Not to talk about random robot concepts and a bit of mega man lore but you know what goes through my mind occasionally? The idea of making a robot a *child*.

Child robots are such a fucked up concept to me when you specifically look at it through the lens of “it’s a society where human robots are normal” cause when it’s a case like early mega man the robot masters take various different non human looks Rock being young isn’t weird, but when you look at *Reploids* later you realize they’d need to be upgraded to get older, and it seems to be a thing that’s implied by Zero and definitely a thing by ZX. Every human is a cyborg in ZX and Reploids get a lifespan to balance that out + we know who’s a reploid by the head triangles, and we see children with those triangles so we KNOW those are kid Reploids…

Reploids are given lifespans sure yet if they are made as children they have to be upgraded to age, that’s not really aging, that’s just making up for the fact if you don’t get upgraded you’d otherwise be stuck as a child you’re whole life and that’s fucking horrifying to think about. Even if getting old has it’s disadvantages and being a child is treated as a great thing, never getting the chance to grow up unless you are upgraded just makes you ask why weren’t you just built as a adult to begin with if you don’t age properly like humans do?

And I also think about Casshern Sins approach to this, how we see many child robots too yet we also learned robots wanted to figure out reproduction and it only somewhat succeeded before it was ultimately scrapped yet I gotta wonder: while it was said they were doing it to achieve evolution, do you also think it’s out of a robot wishing to have a child like a human does? That building a robot as a child does not have the same effect, especially with all the stuff with upgrades? That even if a robot giving birth can be seen as such a ODD thing, it’s still one way they want to be human?

I genuinely need to find more sci fi robot media that dives into this concept because GOD it makes me more existential than it needs to be yet it’s fascinating.

Gonna be real, the Transformers fandom is a really hard one to navigate if you're uncomfortable about pregnancy- at least other fandoms will tag for their baby fever and mpreg.

So, my Amy canonmate was telling me about how she and Shadow had a child together and like- hell yeah, sister. But the way they told everyone was so vastly different from each other.

Amy revealed it in the most cutesy way possible to Team Sonic, meanwhile, Shadow told me and Omega like this:

*In the middle of a fight with Eggman's robots*

Shadow: *folding his arms and punting a robot like a soccer ball and speaking casually* "I impregnated Rose"

Me: *in the middle of a drill kick before abrupting coming to a stop midair* "You WHAT!?" *Proceeds to laugh my ass off at how and when he revealed it*

Omega: *shooting all the robots surrounding us* "Congratulations, Shadow"

It was the funniest shit ever. Shadow was so nonchalant about everything. Never change, Shadow. It made me laugh.

I love your thought of Tarn being fascinated by the tiny invaders in his quarters. Mech goes so hard on sparkling proofing his room. It actually starts looking like normal quarters. The First Editions and other Creepy Stuff™️ are carefully packed up and stored away. Tarn starts reading the convolutedly obtained sparklin guides and rigorously prepares the room to be Sparlking Safe Deceptacon™️.

Plus if the DJD alies with Deathsaurus, Deathsarus has a very different reaction to Tarn's room. Mech immediately melts into a cooing mess at the bitties. Immediately wants to spoil the sparklings.

His room is clear to begin with. Tarn has a walk-in closet that's absolutely Dedicated to Megatron. Tarn wants to make sure it's a well-kept and clean area, after all. Plus, there are too many limited editions to keep out in the open, especially the early renditions of Towards Peace upon miners' corpses.

Tarn does get into newspark guides and bitlet development. You and Nickel do smack datapads and run away with recovered chips because, well, Functionism. Because Tarn is adamant about it, you and Nickel do cobble up a learning guide that's geared to these bitties. (Of course, there's other guides for other frames because Tarn got interested. The nerd.)

It leads to more blankets, padding, and pillows, which kicks your nesting instinct into unsuspressable overdrive. Tarn is getting fascinated by the entire process since you dedicate all your energy into it: deeply entwining your own biosignature into the materials, getting it into a proper placement, reshaping a nest-like structure, fluffing up everything, and keeping the three newsparks inside the middle.

And your considerable wells. You're pumping sparkling fuel and stocking the medbay and the habsuite, just in case. Cubes of very pale pink Energon lines the shelves and in a neat stack in one of his closets. It doesn't slosh easily like the fuel he's used to. It's thick and viscous, leaving a film on a partial filled container where he can see granules of curious substances.

He will never admit how his spark turns to mush and oozes out of its chamber when a blind, soft-plating tiny thing grabs his pinky. Or how he locks his entire frame when the split-sparks settle upon his chassis, cozy and comforted by his spark. Or how he tries not to grind into you during recharge, how heated you've become with the second carriage, especially around your middle.

If the DJD ever joins with Deathsaurus, then it's going to be awkward with all the rumors and misunderstandings running around. No one has ever seen you, so some think the Witnessed Acts documentation was a hoax or a prank. But not Deatbsaurus, he can smell the faint, lingering sweetness of sparkling fuel on Tarn.

At first. Deathsaurus is extremely leery because what kind of mech would willingly pledge their spark to Tarn? But then, there's no sign of them anywhere. It really doesn't help that he can vaguely understand Primal Venacular and makes a huge blunder from Vos' and Kaon's quiet exchanges.

The sheer pandemonium that will happen when Deathsaurus tears through the ship, thinking the worst, but really, you're just too exhausted with the second carriage. It's taking a huge toll on your frame, so you're basically nesting most of your time as you care for the newsparks with a couple of others checking on you, like Nickel, Kaon, and Vos since the gunformer enjoys your mental exercises on the dearly departed Deadzone.
