🇵🇸 Israeli soldiers were seen tearing apart a Holy Quran and throwing it on the floor of a mosque they raided and demolished in Gaza. The footage was later uploaded to their groups and social media accounts, sparking outrage among the Muslim community.

I have some questions to those who argue that islam values women:
28% of Quran texts contain positive remarks about women, stating that they're men's equals
But
71% of Quran texts contain negative remarks about women, stating that they're not men's equals and should be submissive
So, first of all: why does your holy book contradicts itself? Could it maybe be because it was written by a power hungry sexually perverted man with no divine inspiration?
And second of all, how can you say that islam values women if the majority of your holy book states otherwise?

ppl genuinely praising the iranian government the way they're doing in the trending page is so insane to me isreal is committing active genocide the solution isn't to praise a government that is committed to violating as many human rights laws as possible against its own people. you should not feel comfortable. iran did not heroically save a nation. you can acknowledge armed defence is beneficial to/necessary for liberating palestine without suddenly becoming an iranian government fan i promise there is a secret third way

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a national treasure and we are lucky that she emigrated to the US, barely fleeing her war-torn homeland of Somalia, and later, escaping woke political persecution in the Netherlands (yes, she was a Dutch Parliamentarian, forced to flee her own adopted Western country). One of her best friends, Theo Van Gogh (great grand nephew of Vincent Van Gogh) was assassinated by an Islamist in Amsterdam, right in front of his house. The 2 made a documentary together, one that focused on lack of rights for Muslim women and misogyny within Islam.
Ayaan Ali grew up a Somali Muslim, her family were devout Muslims, and she was forced to undergo genital mutilation at age 5. She escaped the grip of Islam at 23 by making her way to Netherlands in 1992, and 11 yrs later, in 2003, was elected to Parliament, where she served until 2006, at which time she suffered political persecution by Dutch islamists colluding with the left-wing political parties.
In 2005, Time magazine named Ali as one of the 100 most influential people in the world. In January 2006, Hirsi Ali was recognised as "European of the Year" by Reader's Digest,
Ali should not be ignored, as she knows more about Islam than 99.99% of us Westerners.

If there is a Women Empowerment, then it is here, it is here, it is here.....
Quran declares at verse 9:71 that:
Tumblr media
"The believing men and believing women are Auliya of one another (helpers, supporters, friends, guide, guardian, protectors). They encourage Al-Ma'ruf (Truth), and forbid Al-Munkar (Falsehood)). They perform As-Salat (Prayers) and give the Zakat (Annual Charity), and obey Allah (ﷻ) and His Messenger (ﷺ).Surely, Allah will have His Mercy on them. Indeed Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise"

don't know if you've talked about this before but if nazeri is a Muslim and mc is an Atheist, is that something that could ever cause problems in their relationship? do you think any characters could have some type of strain in their relationship when one believes in a god/s and their partner doesn't? I've seen a lot of problems with this stuff in real life especially when it's a christian/atheist relationship because the religious person will get stressed and feel like they need to "save" their partner by converting them or else they'll go to hell, so from what I've seen a lot of those relationships break up in real life. I was curious on how similar/different it would be with your characters and the mc. How well do they deal with the differences I guess.
Btw I was not trying to be disrespectful with this question at all, and if it made you uncomfortable, I'm really sorry.
It doesn't particularly cause a lot of friction? Nazeri is content to stay in their lane when it comes to personal beliefs like religion. Obviously if you have a Gentlemens' Discussion about it, they're going to bring up what makes them happy about being Shi'a, and occasionally they might encourage their partner to attend ṣalāh just to see if they like it or not. Nazeri themself is pretty loosey goosey about their own beliefs, and some of the more religiously inclined consider them. Kind of a "bad" Muslim?? To their dismay.
Religion is a tough subject in a world where monsters exist but you can't tell anybody about them. In a lot of ways, Nazeri is using theirs as a crutch to stay sane. They try not to bother with anyone else.
One area that would grate on Nazeri would be alcohol, especially functional alcoholic Trackers. This has less to do with religion and more to do with the MC's overall health, but they also don't like the stuff in their house.

How Islam Transformed the Arabs
Tumblr media
The advent of Islam in the 7th century marked a profound transformation in the lives of the Arab people, ushering in a new era of social, moral, and spiritual awakening. Islam’s teachings brought a revolutionary change, particularly, in the status and rights of women, addressing deeply ingrained cultural practices that marginalised and devalued them.
Pre-Islamic Arabia: A Grim Reality for Women
Before the arrival of Islam, pre-Islamic Arabia was characterised by harsh practices and customs that severely restricted women’s rights and dignity. One of the most egregious practices was the burial of infant daughters. Some Arab tribes viewed the birth of a daughter as a source of shame and economic burden leading to the horrifying practice of burying infant girls alive in order to avoid potential future shame. The Quran unequivocally condemns this practice, reflecting the profound moral stance of Islam against such injustices:
And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked for what sin she was killed (Quran 81:8–9)
“They ascribe daughters unto God, who is limitless in His glory — whereas for themselves (they would choose, if they could, only) what they desire for, whenever any of them is given the glad tiding of (the birth of) a girl, his face darkens, and he is filled with suppressed anger, avoiding all people because of the (alleged) evil of the glad tiding which he has received, (and debating within himself) Shall he keep this (child) despite the contempt (which he feels for it) or shall he bury it in the dust? Oh, evil indeed is whatever they decide!’ Quran 16: 57–59
Islam immediately abolished the practice of female infanticide. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasised the value of daughters and condemned the injustice of the pre-Islamic customs. He said:
Whoever has a daughter and does not bury her alive, does not insult her, and does not favour his son over her, Allah will enter him into Paradise” (Abu Dawood).
With the revelation of Islam, the status of women in society underwent a dramatic change. Islam’s teachings provided a clear framework for the protection and elevation of women, ensuring their rights and dignities were upheld.
Islam recognised women as individuals with their own rights and responsibilities, distinct from the property and ownership paradigm of pre-Islamic times. The Quran states:
“O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women” (Quran 4:1).
This verse underscores the equality and common origin of men and women, reinforcing their inherent dignity and worth.
Economic and Legal Rights of Women
Islam also transformed the economic and legal landscape for women, granting them rights that were revolutionary for the time such as the right to inheritance, marriage and divorce rights and so on.
Right to Inheritance
Before Islam, women had no right to inherit property. Islam introduced inheritance laws that guaranteed women a share of their family’s wealth. The Quran explicitly states:
“For men is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, and for women is a share of what the parents and close relatives leave, be it little or much — an obligatory share” (Quran 4:7).
This provision ensured financial security for women, acknowledging their rightful place in the economic sphere as well as mandating that men are caretakers of women (Quran 4:34) and are financially responsible for taking care of the women in their family and community financially.
Marriage and Divorce Rights
Islam redefined marriage as a contract with mutual rights and obligations, ensuring women’s consent and fair treatment. Women were also granted the right to seek divorce under certain circumstances, a radical departure from pre-Islamic norms.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“The most complete believers in faith are those with the best character, and the best of you are those who are best to their women” (Tirmidhi).

But when Islam emerged, it put (slavery) into order, by limiting it to legitimate wars between Muslims and their enemies.
If we fought Israel, which is plundering land, and is an aggressor against people and their faith... obviously, it is impossible that we will fight Israel, even though Surat Al-Isra in the Quran foretells this, and nothing is beyond the power of Allah... The female prisoners of wars are "those whom you own."
In order to humiliate them, they become the property of thte army commander, or of a Muslim, and he can have sex with them just like he has sex with his wives.
Some opportunists and extremists, who only harm Islam, say: "I will bring a woman from East Asia, as (a slavegirl) under the status of "those whom you own," and with the consent of my wife, I will allocate this woman a room in the house, and will have sex with her as a slavegirl."
This is nonsense. This is not prescribed by Islam at all. Islam says that a woman is either a wife or a slavegirl. Legitimately owned slaves come from among prisoners from a war which is waged against the Muslims.
This is the thing people don't quite get about the hostages Hamas took. Islamically, they're not just hostages, they're war bounty, and they're fair game.

And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

Forbidding Women Already Married, Except for Female Slaves
Allah said,
(Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess.) The Ayah means, you are prohibited from marrying women who are already married,
(except those whom your right hands possess) except those whom you acquire through war, for you are allowed such women after making sure they are not pregnant. Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri said, "We captured some women from the area of Awtas who were already married, and we disliked having sexual relations with them because they already had husbands. So, we asked the Prophet about this matter, and this Ayah was revealed,
(Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess). Consequently, we had sexual relations with these women.''

Chapter: It is permissible to have intercourse with a female captive after it is established that she is not pregnant, and if she has a husband, then her marriage is annulled when she is captured
This hadith has been reported on the authority of AbuSa'id (al-Khudri) (Allah be pleased with him) through another chain of transmitters and the words are:
They took captives (women) on the day of Autas who had their husbands. They were afraid (to have sexual intercourse with them) when this verse was revealed:" And women already married except those whom you right hands posses" (iv. 24)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There is no Zakat either on a horse or a slave belonging to a Muslim."
https://quranx.com/4.36
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess.
https://quranx.com/24.32-33
And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. And those who seek a contract [for eventual emancipation] from among whom your right hands possess - then make a contract with them if you know there is within them goodness and give them from the wealth of Allah which He has given you. And do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, if they desire chastity, to seek [thereby] the temporary interests of worldly life. And if someone should compel them, then indeed, Allah is [to them], after their compulsion, Forgiving and Merciful.
https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-8/Book-73/Hadith-182/
Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was on a journey and he had a black slave called Anjasha, and he was driving the camels (very fast, and there were women riding on those camels). Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Waihaka (May Allah be merciful to you), O Anjasha! Drive slowly (the camels) with the glass vessels (women)!"
https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-9/Book-91/Hadith-368/
Narrated `Umar: I came and behold, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was staying on a Mashroba (attic room) and a black slave of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was at the top if its stairs. I said to him, "(Tell the Prophet) that here is `Umar bin Al- Khattab (asking for permission to enter)." Then he admitted me.
https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-6/Book-60/Hadith-274/
Narrated Aisha: That night I kept on weeping the whole night till the morning. My tears never stopped, nor did I sleep, and morning broke while I was still weeping, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called `Ali bin Abi Talib and Usama bin Zaid when the Divine Inspiration delayed, in order to consult them as to the idea of divorcing his wife. Usama bin Zaid told Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) of what he knew about the innocence of his wife and of his affection he kept for her. He said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! She is your wife, and we do not know anything about her except good." But `Ali bin Abi Talib said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Allah does not impose restrictions on you; and there are plenty of women other than her. If you however, ask (her) slave girl, she will tell you the truth." `Aisha added: So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called for Barira and said, "O Barira! Did you ever see anything which might have aroused your suspicion? (as regards Aisha). Barira said, "By Allah Who has sent you with the truth, I have never seen anything regarding Aisha which I would blame her for except that she is a girl of immature age who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough of her family unprotected so that the domestic goats come and eat it."
https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-4/Book-53/Hadith-373/
Narrated `Amr bin Taghlib: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) gave (gifts) to some people to the exclusion of some others. The latter seemed to be displeased by that. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I give to some people, lest they should deviate from True Faith or lose patience, while I refer other people to the goodness and contentment which Allah has put in their hearts, and `Amr bin Taghlib is amongst them." `Amr bin Taghlib said, "The statement of Allah's Apostle is dearer to me than red camels." Narrated Al-Hasan: `Amr bin Taghlib told us that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got some property or some war prisoners and he distributed them in the above way (i.e. giving to some people to the exclusion of others).
https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-5/Book-59/Hadith-512/
Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) offered the Fajr Prayer near Khaibar when it was still dark and then said, "Allahu-Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned." Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet (ﷺ) had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives, She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ) made her manumission as her 'Mahr'.
==
Not exactly a ringing condemnation of slavery.
Remember that Muhammad is regarded as uswa hasana, "an excellent model of conduct," and al-Insān al-Kāmil, "the perfect human," and Muslims are supposed to model themselves on his example. If he does a thing, and "Allah" has not declared it is for him alone (such as having as many wives as he likes, not just the normal maximum of 4), then Muslims are supposed to emulate that.
Anyone who tells you that slavery is not allowed in Islam is either lying or ignorant. If they deflect and say things like, "well, the bible says..." then you can be 100% certain they were lying, because they've conceded the point. Unlike Xianity, Islam has not gone through any reformation. The word of Islam's quran and its pedophile prophet are unchanged and are taken to be as literally true today as they were 1400 years ago.

Before islam. The way it used to be, until the Mullahs and Ayatollahs and Sheiks took over, the same Islamists that students across America are cheering for, the same Islamists who's supporters fill the streets of London and New York. Shame on them.
