Happy October 1st!

Hello hello friends and fiends!

How have you been my spookie sweeties? :D

It's been a while! I've been busy reconnecting with some old friends, I actually visited one of them in Scotland this year!!

I've mostly been working and just trying to take care of myself and those around me the best I can. I got a little burnt out with a few things but I really missed this blog and interacting with you guys. :<

Yuu as Riddle's missing sibling and representing the White King/Queen would be so heartbreaking like imagine that's the reason why Riddle's mom is so overbearing and strict on him. OR it's because of Riddle's mom that the sibling left/got taken because of how terrible they got treated compared to Riddle or something along those lines.

Riddle's trying to hold himself back from running to hug Yuu, but he;s gotta be proper and not cause a bigger scene. He has to hold it in and not say anything. Be the Dorm Leader that he needs to be in the moments and- Riddle's rushing to hug Yuu with all the strength that his body can muster.

Yuu's startled at first cause suddenly the guy who helped them grab Grim is now hugging them. Riddle, through tears, has to explain to Yuu what happened and now Yuu is hugging Riddle back.

The Rosehearts siblings are polar opposites, Riddle's strict while Yuu is chill.

more about og tue timeline twins danny and dan/jamie

very touchy with each other. you might even say. ccclingy. its to be expected, they're two halves of a whole after all and all they've got of each other. worryingly co-dependent. do not separate. ever.

Danny was really weak and sick after the initial separation, and was for a while after. Jamie knew internally that if Danny died, he'd take the whole world with it. He was the one sole caretaker for him while he got better -- not for lack of trying on Vlad's part, but without his ghost powers he was nothing more than a feeble (albeit handsomely rich) man, and James looked ready to bite his head off if he got within ten feet of either of them.

Vlad is intimately aware that James (or Danny, if he tried) could snap his spine in half like a twig, and is uncomfortably aware of his own lack of ghost half now. It makes him feel self-conscious and exposed, so he never fully returns back to "cocky and self-assured billionaire Vlad Masters". Making deals with other brands feels a lot harder now that he can no longer possess them anymore.

Speaking of, he very quickly has to come up with a cover story as to why there's now a James Daniel Fenton to the public, when no records whatsoever of him existing existed prior. Lots of forging false government documents on his end. James and Danny do not help because it's his fault this happened in the first place.

(Regardless of whether or not Danny actually willingly chose to rip out his ghost half/humanity in canon is true, or if that was Vlad Masters speaking out of his ass, a large part of the blame still falls on Masters.)

(As his primary caretaker and guardian, it's his responsibility to ensure the health and safety of his charge, and since Danny was in clear emotional duress at the time, it can be argued that he was not in the mental state to make such a decision. And, allegedly, couldn't do it on his own which is why he asked Vlad for help.)

I chose "James" as Dan's name since it's a popular fanon middle name for Danny, and since he's half of Danny, it felt like it just made sense lol. Also because of the ensuing comedy of the two of them introducing themselves as "James Daniel Fenton" and "Daniel James Fenton". It's got the same energy as "danny with a y" and "danny with an i" and it's the exact kind of name bullshit you expect parents to give their twins.

I don't have their exact personalities down, but something I am actively writing into this au's bible is that I think Danny should be the quiet and (ig technically) meaner one. There's a lot to go into about interpretations for ghosts, halfas, and the incident itself, but TL:DW; Danny is technically soulless, or at the very least missing half of his soul (altho Jamie is too just in a different direction).

Pair that with the trauma of losing his family in front of him + having his ghost half ripped out + all the trauma he would've sustained as a hero, and he's not doing too hot mentally! i think if the twins met good timeline!Danny, Danny would've mistaken Danny for Dan and Jamie for the original half.

He comes off to others as pretty apathetic and indifferent to a borderline terrifyingly calm degree. He doesn't go out of his way to insult people, but he also doesn't care enough to consider the other party's feelings so he doesn't filter himself, which makes him come off as rude. The only times he looks truly comfortable is when he's near Jamie or talking to him.

His standoffish, ice prince demeanor makes Jamie look like a saint in comparison. When really he's not all that much better? He's more outwardly emotional than Danny, whether that be positive or negative, but at the end of the day he doesn't trust or care about anyone else any more than Danny does, and he's got a bit of a sadistic streak. Danny reigns him in when he starts becoming too destructive.

(Which I think makes sense. Danny asked Vlad to rip out his ghost half specifically so he could stop feeling his human emotions. Dan, despite his monotone voice, does exhibit emotions. He's smug when he asks Valerie if he likes his ghostly wail, sardonic when he reunites with Sam and Tucker, annoyed, shocked at Danny's ghostly wail, etc. He enjoys wreaking destruction and chaos.)

(If Danny had survived his encounter with Dan and if Vlad was successful, then I imagine he'd be rather apathetic to his other half as a whole. That'd be interesting.)

Overall though they're both hurt, bitter, and distrustful of the world around them, with abandonment issues a mile wide. They can get better and they can heal, but it takes time and patience and proper support.

On the DPxDC side of things, they do genuinely hold some kind of respect or regard for Bruce. They also don't become vigilantes for a while. Neither of them are jumping at the bit to enter heroism again, not when it was heroism that killed their family in the first place.

In fact when they find out Bruce = Batman they think he's foolish for it. They think its a fool's errand, and they've been so spurned by their time as Phantom that for a few weeks, Jamie even refused to call Bruce anything but Sisyphus. Danny called him Tantalus, and the two of them had a faux-argument about which one was more accurate.

Bruce does, though, worm his way into both of their hearts, and that's like, the main reason they become vigilantes to join him. So that they could keep him safe and not because of any desire to return to the heroic life. Relearning to care and finding satisfaction in helping others was an unintentional side effect.

Return to Wonderland AU

Things the NRC boys don't talk about is their lost sibling that went missing when they were younger. They remember them as much as they could as they only have childhood memories to go off of. The opening ceremony is pure chaos as Azul and Riddle try to wrangle Grim, only for someone to snatch him up and pull off their ceremonial hood.

Riddle: Sibling

He could hardly believe it. There, right there, standing there in the living flesh and blood, is his sibling. Yuu has white hair and is taller than him, their eyes the same color as Riddle's own.

"Well, don't you enjoy just causing problems?" Yuu sighs with a shake of their head.

"Hey, this wouldn't have happened if you just gave me the robes!" Grim yowls as he flails about.

"They're too big for you, so it wouldn't have mattered."

Riddle's fighting desperately not to rush over and hug his sibling. He's missed them so much, having only the photos of them to go off of how he'd imagine them looking when they were older. But, he fights that feeling, he has to remain proper and in control. Show off how to be a proper dorm leader, but he can feel his resolve quickly starting to crack. It breaks fully when Yuu turns their eyes to look at him.

"Hey, Riddle, I'm home."

Riddle ignores everything and rushes to hug them with all of his might. He doesn't care if he's crying or if it's audible. He finally has them back. The Red Queen and White Queen are reunited.

Trey: Sibling

Trey sees the amount of destruction one feline familiar can cause and he sighs. He watches Riddle and Azul try to wrangle the cat before the hoodie figure, who roughly caused this whole thing to happen, grabs him.

"Settle down and take a breather. Smell the Roses."

Trey straightens up as he hears the spell, his eyes widening as the feline goes limp in their grasp.

"There we go..." They cradle him like one would a baby.

Trey moves away from Cater and places a hand on the figure's shoulder. The figure turns to face him, a lone golden eye peeks past a mop of green hair.

"Yuu?" He shakingly asks.

A smile graces Yuu's lips as they gently hug him. "Trey."

Trey wraps his arms around them and inhales sharply. His sibling is back.

Cater: Sibling

Cater's enjoying the mayhem and he almost wishes he had a bowl of popcorn on hand. He's trying hard not to laugh at Riddle and Azul running back and forth to catch the gray furball. A hoodie figure trips Grim and picks him up before he eats shit.

"You ain't even cute enough to forgive."

Cater chokes on his spit as he hears the voice. The figure takes off their hood and shakes out their long curled ginger hair. There's a bandana covering the left side of their face and snake bite piercings on their lips. They also have a pair of red diamond earrings.

Cater breaks away faster than the speed of sound and tackles the figure. "Yu-Yu!"

"Cay-Cay!"

Cater hugs Yuu tight to him, surprising everyone by the reaction they just witnessed. He squeezes their cheeks and shakes them.

"I can't believe you just left me like that! Worse sib ever, fr!"

"Bro, I was, like, kidnapped!"

"You have to join me in Heartslabyul, Sibby."

"I don't think I got a choice."

The two continue chatting, completely ignoring the attempts Crowley made to interrupt. The Diamond siblings are here~.

Ace: Sibling (Fraternal Twin)

Ace wasn't at the mess that was the opening ceremony and appeared later at Heartslabyul with only talks of what happened. As curious as he was, he didn't want anyone knowing he had skipped it, and headed to bed before anything else could happen. He sees Deuce talking to someone with a gray familiar besides them. Before he even has a chance to tease the newcomer about their lack of knowledge, the person turns towards them. Ace froze as he stared at his fraternal twin, bright scarlet eyes looked at him as they moved their strawberry blond hair over their shoulder.

"Uh-"

"Hey, hey, Acey." Yuu waved lackadaisical at him. "You go here too?"

He hadn't seen Yuu in years, not since they mysteriously disappeared one day when they were kids. He wanted to play off the reaction, but... he missed them, dearly missed them. Thankfully, Yuu moves first and hugs him.

"I'm home~"

Ace sniffs and buries his face in their shoulder. "I missed you..."

Deuce: Sibling

Deuce can hardly keep up with what was happening in the room. Seeing all that happened within the span of only a few minutes and the large mess it left behind, that had to have been a new record for the worse opening ceremony that Deuce had attended. Eventually, they managed to grab the feline and hand him off to the figure, who scrambled to grab him as their hood fell off.

"Aren't you going to apologize for the mess your familiar caused?" His dorm leader asked as he crossed his arms.

"I ain't his fucking keeper." The person growled. "Why should I have to apologize for him?"

Deuce peeked through the crowd as he heard the voice, spotting someone with a undercut and their long blue hair parted and draped against the left side of their face.

"How dare you speak to me like that!" His face grew red. "After all we did to catch him."

"Back off, pipsqueak! Don't you have a playground to police?"

"Yuu?" Deuce moved through the crowd. "Is that you?"

Yuu whipped around to face him, the angry scowl on their face fell away as they smiled. "Deuce!"

They tossed Grim to Riddle and wrapped their brother in a hug. "I'm back!"

Deuce hugged back, completely forgetting about the ticking time bomb in the room. "You're home!"

He remembers how distraught his mother was at Yuu's disappearance, now he had good news to give her-

"FRESHMEN, WHO IS THIS!?"

-if he could survive long enough to tell her.

Riddle: ... *Sees that Ace is not in his room*

Deuce: ... *The one who called him, sweating bullets, wondering where his friend is*

Riddle: *Goes to Trey, Bella and Cater's room* Care to explain me where the fuck everyone is? *Asks to no one after seeing the room empty*

Deuce: *already crying because he thinks he lost his friends*

Meanwhile, in another part of the island

Trey: *lamenting his face in the photo*

Cater and Ace: *happy because their pose turned out good*

Bella: Take that, bitch! *Celebrates after hitting the stained glass and winning against Ortho, Vil and the Leech twins*

For ReturnHome!Yuu, I can imagine their family constantly trying to make up for lost time (maybe even Yuu too) but it constantly makes one or both uncomfortable, especially if they are exact opposites.

Riddle tries to spend time with the tea parties or unbirthday parties, but Yuu is bogged down by all the rules. Yuu tries to do something creative without rules while Riddle gets uncomfortable and tries to look up “rules”.

Vargas tries to work out with his kid and spend time doing exercises, but Yuu is getting anxious and just wants to go inside and game or read. Yuu tries to show off all of their favorite stories but Vargas is bored out of his mind being stuck inside and without a bunch of people.

Yuu having to have a medium between the stuff they like and the stuff their family likes. Yuu starts slowly easing their family members into the stuff they do and in return their family members do the same.

It's a slow dance, but it works in the end. But there are those moments of angry outbursts that sends both Yuu and their family member stomping away from each other for a few hours. Yuu ends up apologizing with a homemade treat or fixing something they broke in the fight.

Yuu, giving Riddle a tart: There's no Oyster sauce in it... I'm sorry, bro.

Riddle: I should be the one apologizing...

or

Yuu, fixing the equipment they broke: Hey, Pops. I fixed it... Sorry about all that.

Vargas, pats Yuu on the back: You're good, Kiddo! But... It's my fault.

Hermione wasn’t quite sure from which well of deceit she had managed to draw up her latent acting ability.

Throughout her school years, she had never needed (or rather, managed) to be a particularly convincing actor. Of course, she had managed to trick Umbridge, but she attributed that more to the failings of a desperate despot than through any great thespian success of hers. She had barely scraped by as a Polyjuiced Bellatrix, and still winced at the recollection of trying to wheedle information from inside Borgin and Burkes … Books, and indeed, cleverness, had been quite sufficient for her, thank you. 

But perhaps a single harrowing year on the run and being dropped fifty years in the past with a psychotic mass murderer necessitate a change, she mused over her cooked breakfast one dreary and overcast morning.

i became inspired to write something nsfw, but it’s difficult to choose who……. with that in mind,

The coffin door knocked from the inside, louder, then a slashing sound, like metal on wood. The gathering of students stretched their necks in the pews to get a better look.  Others murmured how strange this was.  Then a blade broke through the coffin door, again and again, until the door shattered and fell aside.  A pair of black leather boots stepped through the dark threshold, testing the floor, buckles from ankle to knee, black and white stockings appeared then the rest of her stepped through.

Alice, in a blue dress to the knees, a white apron tied tight at the waist, covered in blood.  Her knees bent, feet shoulder width apart, breathing heavy and panting, long black hair covering her face, she surveyed the room best she could, looking for danger. The room gasped as the teen girl swayed, long knife in her right hand, the blade elaborate w/ swirls akin to the famous and fabled Damascus.  A rapid exhale of air moved some hair aside, enough to a see room of teens in dark robes watching her. Was this a church she thought, seems safe enough?  Alice stood straight, put the Vorpal blade between her teeth.  Knowing the room was watching her, reached in the apron pocket pulling out a red velvet bow.   She pulled her long black hair back and tied it in place.  Alice gave the room a thorough look taking the knife into her hand once more.  From a coffin beside her, the door opened gently, a  large animals paw stepped through followed by a much skinnier leg, almost skeletal, a large cats head appeared next w/ large ears, an enormous smile and tribal tattoos all over. 

The cat checked out the room then sat next to Alice.

Alice looked down at the cat and said w/ Disdain “you!”

The skinny Chesire looking cat looked at Alice, "I am yours and you are mine, neither land nor wonder will keep us apart, not until you marry that fracture inside".

 Before Alice could unleash a diatribe on the Cheshire looking cat, a man w/ a crows mask stepped forward, appraising both newcomers. "Miss", you are impatient, art though so eager to enter night raven college to become a magic user. "

Alice thought, I am no magic user.  “Allow me to introduce myself” the Raven masked man bowed, Crowley, and You, who are you?

The cat stepped closer to alice and whispered from the side of his mouth, “mayhaps its best we take this as a reprieve and lay low, some anonymity is in order, a place to, not be Alice, if you understand my meaning”  The cat Genuflected to Crowly, “my name is Grim”

Alice shot the cat a look, slight confusion and a touch of anger.  He reacted back, “my dear, I am not just your cheshire cat and I am also your Grim, you have never asked my name, but its ok, I am not hurt”  Then he said even quieter, “but you did name me all those years ago, our memory is a fleeting thing, especially when madness prevails”.

Crowley, looked at Alice, and who are You?   Alice hung on the word you, processing who she was,,,and repeated it back, "You?"   Crowley missing the upwards inflection, said  “Yuu, welcome to Night Raven college, now, lets get on w/ orientation”

 "Stop, Why am I here?" Yuu asked.

Crowly, "here? Because the dark mirror recognized in you an aptitude for magic” He pointed to her Apron, are those not magic symbols, Jupitor and Eris. why else would you wear them?"

 Alice ignoring the question shot back, “Your mirror choose incorrectly, I have no such skills, deposing of Tyrants, especially red ones is my only talent”! She flashed her blade for all to see.  Crowly paused, “mirror, is there a mistake, here, does this one have talent the arts or no?”  A face appeared in the dark mirror, “she speaks the truth, I sense no magic in her, in fact, she is empty, as though her soul has left”.

Grim smiled w/ a hint of sarcasm in his voice, “oh dear, my young Yuu, I so wonder where it has departed too”.

Yuu pointed her blade, “ill skin your further to the bone, leave me alone, you bully too much, I liked you much better w/ fur and fat belly”.  

Grim lost his grin, “tell that to the years of neglect, who left who”.

Crowley turned to Grim, “and you cat?”   

“Oh, I come from a long pedigree of magic users, our role is to guide lost souls, be their ally and protector, but alas, I am the last one, and as you can see, wasting away, I fear my gifts are fading….like me”.  And at that, grim faded away.  Across the room, in the pews, a voice yelled, “get off me”.  Grim made a serious error in judgement choosing headmaster Riddles head to land on, but then again, cats have a way of picking out the person who would be most perturbed by their presence”.   Riddle stood in a frantic attempt to rid his head of this skin and bone menace.  Grim again faded leaving only his grin the last thing the pupils saw.  Hoots and howls came from the pews as the boys all laughed.

Grim appeared back by the caskets, and then appeared to camouflage itself, looking like a small 4 legged version of Crowly.  Grim then lept high in the air, higher than any cat his size should be able to do. Landing on a ledge, began to run, like a cat w/ the zoomies at 3 am, but far faster, as it neared the end, Grim took to the air and floated in place, sitting regally like any cat of self worth would.

A loud shout resounded through the hall “Off w/ its head”.   A metal collar appeared around Grims neck and he fell to the ground, all 4 feet splayed out.  

From the pews, 4 boys sat closer together, Deuce, trying to piece it all together “is this a family feud or an orientation?”  Ace, sat agape staring at the young teen girl, Cater took his finger and attempted to close his mouth by lifting his chin.  Ace, shooed his hand away, obviously embarrassed that he was caught staring at Yuu.  Trey leaned across the 3 others and whispered, something is not right here, I think the mirror made a mistake, has anyone ever appeared not being able to use magic?  Deuce asked further, has a girl ever appeared, let alone a skeletal cat…is no one seeing the Hippo in the room".  “Elephant, its elephant in the room” Trey corrected. Cater piped up, “oh look, here comes riddle”.  As if on cue, ace conjured a small bag of dancing popcorn and passed it around, the boys giggled.

The room hushed as Riddle strode forward.  

"SILENCE in the hall" he yelled.  “This orientation is obviously a failure, head to your dorms the lot of you.  

Crowly spoke up, looking at Yuu “If Yuu cannot use magic, Dark mirror, guide this soul to where she belongs.

The face in the mirror spoke one word, “nowhere”.

As if hurt, Yuu shot back, “I was somewhere just now, send me back there if I am not wanted here”. 

The Mirror replied, “Ive searched this world and its vast space, nowhere do i find her rightful place. I see only emptiness’s embrace”

Crowly asked, “might I ask what country do you hail”

Yuu, paused, “A place called England, but, I was not actually there….”

Grim whispered, “careful girl, It looks like a new law reigns in this wonderland, it's rough justice all around. We're not at risk but You best be on your guard."

“England” Yuu corrected herself.

I have never heard of that place, we have students from all over, I hope you are not lying to me young miss” Crowly said sternly.

Yuu was lying, but choosing the wisdom of that wretched cat was her plan.

If you do not possess any talent for magic, we have no place for you here said Crowly.

Grim spoke up, “would you let me take her place?  I have an aptitude for magic, I mean, most of my skills are forgotten or lost, but training here may bring them back…and consider, what I may be able to contribute, my lineage is hundreds of years old." 

Crowly asked yuu, can you control Grim?  Alice not one to miss an opportunity to torture grim, “oh yes, he is well under my control I promise”  her grin was now larger than the cats.  Alice took the red bow out of her hair and tied it around Grims neck, below riddles coller, she said” Let this be a symbol of your submission to me”.  At that, Crowly was satisfied.  “We will get that collar off of you once we see you follow direction and listen to Yuu. Now, to convince your headmaster.

Crowly raised his hand to get Riddles attention,  Riddle came over, "Will Heartslabyul take Grim if Yuu keeps him in line and teaches civility? Is this agreeable to the headmaster, you get a student w/ some surprising abilities and perhaps unlock some forgotten magic.  This could lift your house up and even hold a lead over the others". 

Riddles face lit up w/ the notion of his reputation increasing. 

But Riddle still objected,  "They cannot stay our dorms, it’s  a boys school and this, pointing at grim, is a beast, it belongs at Savanclaw.

The 4 boys were still standing at their pews, the last 4 to leave the great hall.  Ace called out impulsive, “What about ramshackle, she can stay there”.  Riddle shot a glare to the boys, making a mental note to scold them later.

Crowly looked amused, “ramshackle, the ghosts there, could use some company, but its condition is not becoming for a lady”

It was Deuce’s turn to speak up “we can help clean it, Ace and I, we volunteer”. 

Riddle, not wanting to lose this opportunity but also wanting to keep his authority in check “I agree”.  The 4 boys clapped in unison, Riddle shot them a look and all 4 took that as a cue to leave.

Crowly smiled, now, if you two dont mind, lets take our leave, its time for Tea at Ramshackle!
