Barbie Dream Besties Renee Doll 💜🔮

i saw her in the mall a few days ago and instantly fell in love with her. couple of days later i said fuck it, if she's still there (this was the last unit) it's meant to be. so i went to buy her and there she was, waiting for me 💜

first look out of the box, (this was my first time opening a barbie box delicately as i plan to preserve the box)

her hair is beautiful, thick, black with shiny purple streaks that really give her a stylish look, her outfit is chic lavender ribbed crop top with lavender jean shorts and boots of the same colour. her top also comes with an heart-shaped waist belt.

she has multiple points of articulation, which makes me really happy. i love a doll that can pose.

her accessories include, a phone, an ice cream phone case, a light purple laptop, and a cute handbag with an omelette on it.

her food accessories include a drink, pretzel, slice of pizza and chips.

she has silver loop earing that match her silver choker. a close up of her face and the back of her head and her sitting.

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Both of these ladies have songs in their respective canons coming to mind immediately i feel like im cheating but its the TRUTH

Delia- born with a mic in our hand from barbie and the rockers of COURSE! i feel like itd be her favorite of the rockers songs (its my favorite) and its so her-core to me idk

Renee- unbelievable from barbie and the three musketeers!! i cannot think of any of the characters from this film without it coming to mind. and also renee and the song??? >>>

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Delia- joins LITERALLY every rockers contest/promo/whatever she sees. she's one of the biggest rockers fans ever, and while what we see in the book is like one poster, she's got a WHOLE collection of rockers merch, especially after she got to spend time with them

Renee- other than her musketeer dreams and goals, she would give ANYTHING to play violin professionally- she's gotten small gigs here and there, but an orchestra is where she wishes she could be, if the musketeer thing doesnt work out

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

Delia- sorta 80s businesswear. that day to night barbie aesthetic. that and literally the rockers' fashion sense. she knows what shes doing (she owns a replica of dereks jacket and like most of the collections the band put out)

Renee- ohh this is difficult bc of the time period of the film and my very small knowledge of fashion? i can see her, if we're going current time, grabbing onto one style and not letting go of it even when its out of trend? like its her trademark? SHE ALSO will wear anything that viveca makes for her. she may be in love.

she is so cute! and the last piece that was left at the store

i have no criticism for this doll, i found her to be very very cute, i love the accessories, her outfit and her hair, everything just jells with me. i'll def purchase this if i visit my local mall again. also, the doll is shorter than a standard Barbie and has a wider body.

I wish I loved this face up more, because I genuinely think I did a good job on it. I don't want to wipe it and do it over. But also. I think someone else would enjoy her a lot more than me.
