Understanding the Dynamics: The Difference in Share Prices of Reliance and Hindalco Industries
When it comes to making financial judgments in the turbulent world of stock markets, where trends and fortunes shift by the second, investors look for reliable sources of guidance. If you are looking for someone to guide the way, follow StockGro. According to our experts, Reliance Industries and Hindalco Industries are now the two most prominent possibilities among the many others. Through this in-depth examination, we want to illuminate the complexities surrounding their shared values, comprehend the variables affecting their oscillations, and investigate the basic dynamics that define their courses.
Chasing the Innovation Waves: Reliance Industries' Share Price
Reliance Industries is a large Indian organization known for its broad commercial operations and strategic approach. Dhirubhai Ambani began Reliance in 1966 as a textile company, and it has since expanded into a conglomerate with activities in energy, petrochemicals, retail, and digital services.
The secret to Reliance's success is its ability to adapt to changing market conditions and its relentless pursuit of innovation. The stock price of a company reflects its financial performance, strategic goals, technological innovations, and market perception.
Reliance's share price has changed dramatically in recent years due to a multitude of reasons, including:
Reliance Jio's Disruption: The debut of Reliance Jio Infocomm in 2016 upset the telecommunications business by introducing low-cost data plans and igniting a pricing war among competitors. This decision boosted Reliance's share price to new highs, demonstrating investor confidence in the company's digital development prospects.
Expansion into Retail: Reliance's entry into the retail industry through Reliance Retail has also been a significant driver of the company's share price. The company's rapid expansion, strategic acquisitions, and creative retail formats have boosted investor confidence and contributed to the rise in its share price.
Investment in Green Energy: Reliance's recent emphasis on renewable energy and sustainable practices has resonated with investors, fueling optimism about the company's long-term development prospects. The company's disclosure of ambitious intentions to become net carbon neutral by 2035 piqued investor attention and boosted its share price.
As Reliance continues to innovate, diversify, and expand its footprint, Reliance Industries Share Price remains a reflection of investor sentiment, market trends, and the company's strategic direction.
Hindalco Industries Share Price: Navigating the Metals Market
Hindalco Industries, the Aditya Birla Group's flagship firm, is a global leader in the aluminum and copper industries, focusing on sustainability. Founded in 1958, Hindalco has a solid reputation for providing high-quality goods, pushing innovation, and cultivating long-term relationships with clients around the world.
Hindalco Industries' share price is influenced by several factors peculiar to the metals industry, including:
Commodity Prices: Hindalco's share price is highly tied to commodity price swings, as the company produces aluminum and copper. Changes in global demand-supply dynamics, geopolitical concerns, and macroeconomic trends can all impact aluminum and copper prices and, thus, Hindalco Industries Share Price.
Operational Performance: Hindalco's operational performance, such as production volumes, cost efficiency, and capacity utilization rates, has a direct impact on the company's financial success and, as a result, share price. Investors regularly watch important operational parameters to assess the company's growth potential and profitability.
Global Economic Conditions: Hindalco's stock price is also influenced by broader macroeconomic trends, including GDP growth, industrial activity, and infrastructure spending. Positive economic indications can increase demand for aluminum and copper, raising prices and, consequently, Hindalco's stock price.
Hindalco has recently launched strategic measures to improve operational efficiency, diversify its product portfolio, and boost its presence in important markets. These measures have positioned the company for long-term growth and helped to keep its share price stable in the face of market volatility.
Comparative Analysis: Reliance vs. Hindalco Share Prices
While Reliance Industries and Hindalco Industries operate in separate industries and confront distinct market dynamics, there are significant similarities in the variables impacting their share prices:
Investors Role: Investor sentiment, market movements, and macroeconomic factors all have an impact on overall market sentiment, which affects both Reliance and Hindalco.
Business success: Both firms' financial success, including revenue growth, profitability, and earnings per share, has a significant impact on their share prices.
Strategic Initiatives: Investor perceptions of a company's strategic initiatives, such as expansion plans, diversification efforts, and sustainability initiatives, can influence its share price.
While Reliance Industries Share Price and Hindalco Industries Share Price may diverge at times, their long-term performance indicates their capacity to adapt to changing market conditions, capitalize on growth opportunities, and create value for shareholders.
Conclusion
To summarize, various industry-specific factors, market dynamics, and strategic objectives influence Reliance Industries and Hindalco Industries' share prices. Reliance's share price reflects investor confidence in its diverse business strategy, technical developments, and expansion into new areas. In contrast, Hindalco's share price is driven by commodity pricing, operational performance, and global economic conditions. As investors traverse the complexity of the stock market, knowing the fundamental dynamics driving Reliance and Hindalco share prices is critical for making sound investing decisions. While previous performance does not guarantee future outcomes, a detailed examination of these variables can assist investors in determining the development prospects and investment potential of these two industrial behemoths. StockGro will constantly bring such analysis for its readers to help them make sound decisions.

how is wonyoung perceived by fellow idols, female and male??
wonyoung's reputation among idols
based on tarot. i do not know these idols personally. energies are always changing. what i say is NOT straight fact. pls take it with a grain of salt!
Tumblr media
female idols 4ofc, hangmrx, aceofc, moon, devil&10ofc, 10ofp
+ they perceive her as someone with very unbothered and peaceful energy. she's very drama-free in their eyes, you rarely catch her engage in fights or create conflicts. and although there is this sense of unapproachableness to her, ("should i go up to her? i don't know, i don't wanna bother her.." type of way) once you do talk to her, she has this very naturally nice and agreeable vibe to her. it's giving everybody's darling, wonyoung is known as the girl you just can't help but like. if you dislike her, there must be something wrong with you in their eyes.
so naturally, wonyoung has a lot of girls jealous of her. they see her as this "perfect" female idol who just has it all, and it spites them. i literally can hear them say "how can she even be like that? does she ever mess up? 🙄 " like it's annoying for someone to embody everything they wish they were, whether that's appearance-wise or career-wise, with her being the it girl of the 4th generation. i'm not exaggerating and saying it as it is, like the devil card is no joke when it comes to jealousy and envy. remember jyp saying that wonyoung was the perfect idol in every way? many female idols will agree with that statement, and it clearly frustrates them. she's the pretty and popular girl who everyone wants to hate for the sake of it, but you literally can't since she's an actual sweetheart. that's the energy i got very clearly. - she's very inflexible and stubborn in their eyes. like she's just doing her own thing, doesn't care about your stance or view on things at all, in fact doesn't even consider it. even if you present your take on something to her, she'll probably smile at you and politely decline your opinion, no matter how wrong she might be. it's this feeling of never really being able to get close to her, just very unapproachable and stuck in her ways, which can give off an arrogant or "know-it-all" vibe.
the moon card is also telling me, that there is this overly mysterious energy to her, where they just can't figure her out in any way. it's like they believe there must be so much hidden behind this mask of perfection that she puts on, but it's very difficult to actually decipher what that is. wonyoung seems to be a very private person behind the scenes as well, and doesn't like revealing much of her private life in general. she gives off this vibe of having a lot of secrets and being very uptight and overly careful about sharing things about herself. as if she doesn't really trust people, even within the industry.
male idols hermit, queofsw, 7ofw, 9ofp, kingofc+2ofc&lovers
+ male idols perceive wonyoung as a very independent, confident and self-sufficient woman. she not only seems very comfortable and content in her own skin, but has also evidently come to a place of financial success and stability through her very own efforts, which they respect a lot. there's just this vibe that she doesn't need anyone else in order to feel happy, and they're in awe of her self-reliance. i'm gonna be honest, i'm getting the feeling that many of these men still get surprised when they see a woman make it on her own, which is crazy to say the least. i can see them being all 😮 about a woman being able to get to such a high place without being in need of any man, and it's honestly baffling how ancient some of their mindsets still seem to be. (not surprising considering all the internalized misogyny still going on in south korea)
i'm also getting a lot of respect for her resilience when it comes to dealing with obstacles, especially things like hate-trains. they believe it's incredible for her to remain so strong and unmoving after being confronted with so much negativity.
wonyoung is very desired as well, the female idol that every korean man would mention as their idol type. a lot of them would love to be with her, but are aware it's difficult since she's extremely closed off, and not easy to get close to. she also exactly knows what she wants and is a smart and professional girl in their eyes, which intimidates many of them to an extent. there seems to be some male idol, perhaps a water sign, whom she had a close relationship with. i can sense a lot of jealousy surrounding him.
- she's too much of a loner and "buzzkill" in their eyes. in similar fashion to the female idols, many male idols seem to view her as someone who doesn't really know how to let lose and have fun, and is just way too uptight. one aspect they definitely share, is that both male and female idols just struggle approaching her in a comfortable manner since she always seems to be so lost in her own world. although she isn't necessarily unfriendly, she just isn't the type to care about socializing much and someone who prefers keeping to herself, which makes her very guarded in their eyes.

King Crab
Designed by Cosara Weaponries in 2741 at the request of General Aleksandr Kerensky for an assault 'Mech that could "cripple or destroy another 'Mech in one salvo," the King Crab is one of the most fearsome BattleMechs to have ever existed. Its primary weapons, super-heavy autocannons mounted in its arms, can strip the armor off of any 'Mech in a few bursts. Its secondary weapons give the slow King Crab the firepower to see off attackers attempting to pick it off at range, and while not sporting the heaviest armor of any assault 'Mech, there are absolutely no weak points to its protection. If there is a drawback to the King Crab, it's the reliance on ammunition for the autocannons, an aspect to consider on extended campaigns with no guarantee of resupply. If it runs out of ammo, most King Crab pilots will withdraw from the field, making it vulnerable to enemy attacks. The only reliable way to destroy a King Crab is with overwhelming numbers of heavy and assault 'Mechs, and casualties will be suffered in the attempt.
While an excellent close-range combatant, the King Crab proved to be less versatile as a command vehicle, a role eventually filled by the Atlas. Later production models eventually had the state-of-the-art communications systems swapped out for common systems more suited for the brawling nature of the King Crab. At the start of the Amaris Civil War in 2767 Cosara's Mars factory was destroyed by Republican forces, although its factory on Northwind managed to escape unscathed. When General Kerensky and the majority of the Star League Defense Force left the Inner Sphere on their Exodus, they brought with them most of the initial production run of King Crabs, including all of the prototype KGC-010 models. The number of remaining King Crabs was further reduced when the Northwind factory was destroyed in 2786, one of the early casualties of the First Succession War. Since the design used few Lostech parts, it was easier to repair than other Star League era 'Mechs. Still, by the end of the Third Succession War a mere handful of King Crabs were still in active service with the Great Houses.
When ComStar initiated the takeover of the Terra system, they were able to repair the King Crab factory on Mars, mothball it, and secretly secure a number of King Crabs in storage. By the dawn of the thirty-first century ComStar contracted Cosara Weaponries to resume production in order to restock their supply, which had begun to degrade with age and was later used to outfit the Com Guards. For the pivotal Battle of Tukayyid the King Crab was among a number of designs upgraded to meet the challenge of the Clans, the so-called "Clanbusters." The success of the KGC-001 model was such that ComStar allowed Cosara to begin general production from their Mars and Northwind factories and sell it on the open market in exchange for a share of the profits.
The Word of Blake brought about a radical shift in King Crab production, first by their own conquest of Terra, then a few years later when they blockaded Northwind, infiltrated and took over the factory in 3069. New variants of the King Crab were now being produced and shipped to the Word of Blake and its Protectorate, forcing ComStar to attempt something unusual for the once-secretive organization. They hired a small mercenary team specialized in corporate espionage and inserted them into the Northwind factory to steal the plans for these new 'Mechs. With the technical information in hand they then went to StarCorps Industries and offered them the chance to begin production of the new KGC-007 models. The company was thrilled at the prospect and accepted, building new King Crabs out of Son Hoa not just for ComStar but the Federated Suns and Lyran Alliance as well.
The King Crab's primary weapons are two massive Deathgiver Autocannon/20s, among the most powerful BattleMech weapons ever created. Each arm carries one of these massive weapons, and they are fed by two tons of ammo split between the side torsos. The firepower of these weapons is enough to destroy a medium 'Mech in one salvo. To protect the autocannons in combat, engineers designed the King Crab with simple hand actuators. In appearance and movement, the actuators are very similar to pincers or claws found on real crabs, a contributing factor to the 'Mech's name. To back up the autocannons, and provide some long-range capabilities, the King Crab carries a Simpson-15 LRM-15 launcher, mounted in the left torso and fed by one ton of reloads in the same location, and an Exostar Large Laser in the right torso. While not the most heavily armored 'Mech, the King Crab is still tough to crack, with sixteen tons of ferro-fibrous armor and CASE protecting its ammunition stores; however, the arms are probably the most susceptible area to receive damage and an internal hit is likely to knock an autocannon out of the fight. The 'Mech is also slow, with a cruising speed of 32 km/h and top speed of 54 km/h, and has been described as a "notorious hangar queen".

Tumblr media Tumblr media
-`♡´- note ! i am a self-taught tarot reader, and the interpretations i provide are personal. if anyone would like to share their own insights, i would be more than happy to hear them! please be kind <3
Tumblr media
GENERAL READING
The Magician, The Chariot, The Wheel of Fortune, The Four of Wands, The King of Cups, The Ace of Pentacles.
Their dynamic appears to be one of friendship and camaraderie. They likely share a bond due to their common Australian background, which could create a sense of understanding between them. Being Australian idols in the K-pop industry, they may understand each other's journey and the challenges they face, such as adjusting to life in Korea, the demands of training, rehearsing and performing, and the pressure of being in the spotlight. As for their current relationship dynamics, it's believable that they are still friends, but the extent of their communication and how regularly they keep in touch is uncertain.
Given their busy schedules as K-pop idols, their communication might not be as frequent as before, but when they do connect, they likely cherish their time together and catch up on each other's lives. Their friendship could be characterized by mutual respect, support, and a shared sense of adventure as they navigate their respective careers in the music industry. The Aussie line likely shares a warm and positive vibe, even if their interactions are not as frequent as we might hope. Their dynamic might also include elements of mentorship or guidance, especially considering that Bang Chan is the leader of Stray Kids and likely has valuable insights to offer Jake and his band member Felix, who are younger. This could create a dynamic where they not only support each other as friends but also as colleagues in the music industry.
Overall, the Aussie line's relationship dynamics are embracing friendship, mutual respect, shared experiences, and possibly mentorship, all of which contribute to a strong and positive bond between them.

The arc of justice finally bends against Big Oil

In an historic ruling that could change the trajectory of a rapidly heating planet, a court of law with binding jurisdiction over most of Europe has ruled that governments can be held liable for inadequate responses to climate change.
The European Court of Human Rights determined that rising temperatures in Switzerland caused direct and tangible health consequences among Swiss citizens, and that governments failing to take adequate steps to mitigate and reduce greenhouse gas emissions could owe damages to people hurt by their inaction.
So what, in practical terms, does this mean for a planet that is literally burning in an increasing number of locations?
Europe could take climate cases in a new direction
The ECHR ruling is unprecedented in several respects, beginning with its reliance on principles of human rights.
The Court ruled that governments failing to do enough to address climate change were violating the European Convention on Human Rights, which holds as its first tenet that, “Everyone’s right to life shall be protected by law.” By failing to meet its own climate goals, the court held, the Swiss government impaired citizens’ fundamental rights to life.
The plaintiffs themselves were also unique. In climate cases pending around the world, including in the United States, the vast majority of plaintiffs are young people worried about how they will survive on a sweltering planet with rapidly disappearing habitats and resources.
ALSO READ: 15 worthless things Trump will give you for your money
The ECHR case, in contrast, was brought by elderly plaintiffs, most of whom were women in their 70s who proved that their age and gender make them particularly vulnerable to health risks linked to climate change. Heatwaves, in particular, can be deadly for the elderly as excessive heat triggers a strained cardiovascular response. Cognizant of their own time limitations, these women sued to benefit the next generation. One plaintiff told the BBC, “We know statistically that in 10 years we will be gone. So whatever we do now, we are not doing for ourselves, but for the sake of our children and our children's children.”
Because there is no avenue for appeal, the ECHR ruling will directly influence energy policy throughout the industrialized economies of Europe. Although it falls to Switzerland to comply with the ruling, its precedent is legally binding on all 46 member states, including Germany, the U.K., France and Italy — all fuel-burning heavy hitters.
Climate challenges in the U.S.
The European Court ruled that Switzerland’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions had been “woefully inadequate.” Although the ruling isn’t binding on U.S. courts, the domestic fossil fuel industry will be directly affected by it, since the U.S. has recently become the biggest supplier of crude oil to the European Union.
ALSO READ: Revealed: What government officials privately shared about Trump not disclosing finances
Climate litigants in the U.S. follow a different strategy. State and local governments are now suing fossil fuel companies and the American Petroleum Institute for damages caused by climate change — astronomical damages that inevitably fall to states, cities and towns that can’t afford to pay for them.
These climate cases name private fossil fuel companies as defendants, seeking to hold responsible various for-profit companies, including BP, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and Shell, for increasing carbon dioxide and methane emissions caused by their products.
Big Oil’s campaign of deception
Legal claims and allegations pending in the U.S. focus largely on Big Oil’s deceptive practices. Like the tobacco disinformation cases from the 1990s, these cases allege fraud, nuisance, conspiracy and negligence arising from the industry’s long-standing public disinformation campaigns.
Congress has conducted numerous investigations into Big Oil’s pattern of deception. Despite conclusive evidence that oil executives have long known the causal connection between fossil fuels and climate change, industry executives have consistently lied about it to protect their profits.
Nearly 10 years ago, Democratic members of Congress addressed a report by the Union of Concerned Scientists concluding that “there was a coordinated campaign of deception” on climate science by ExxonMobil, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, BP, Shell, Peabody Energy and other members of the fossil fuel industry.
Tumblr media

Big Oil’s targeted acts of deception over a decades-long campaign included “forged letters to Congress,” secret funding of allegedly independent but industry-controlled scientists, creating “fake grassroots organizations” to influence policy, and multiple, ongoing, and in-depth “efforts to deliberately manufacture uncertainty about climate science.”
Evidence of the industry’s deceptive practices could be pivotal in cases brought by state and local governments paying a staggering tab for intensifying storms, flooding, crop-destroying droughts, extreme heat events and, for states and towns on major bodies of water, coastal erosion.
In the meantime, the fossil fuel industry continues to profit outrageously from extracting, distributing and marketing dangerous products known to increase Earth’s already feverish temperature: March was the 10th month in a row to set a new monthly global heat record, both on land and in the oceans, as global reliance on coal — the dirtiest fossil fuel of all — continues to climb.
Landmark climate cases in Montana, Hawaii
The ECHR decision was the first to rule that governments are obligated under human rights laws to address climate change, but it won’t be the last. Cases pending in Montana and Hawaii also allege damages from unmet climate obligations by their respective state governments.
Last August, 16 young plaintiffs scored an unprecedented victory in Montana. They argued that the state violated a state constitutional provision that guarantees Montana citizens a healthy environment, and Judge Kathy Seeley agreed. She ruled that permitting coal, oil and gas production worsened the climate crisis, in violation of the “healthy environment” guarantees found in the Montana constitution.
In result, state regulators issuing permits for fossil fuel developments must now consider the effects of greenhouse gas emissions as part of their overall analysis of whether to grant or deny the permit. After the state appealed the maverick ruling, Montana’s Supreme Court, in a 5-2 decision, denied the governor’s request to block the ruling pending appeal.
In Hawaii, another pending climate case involves 14 youths. Plaintiffs in Hawaii allege that the state’s transportation department, by funding highway projects that increase fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, violated a constitutional duty to protect the environment.
Tumblr media

After the state challenged plaintiffs’ standing, claiming they could not show particularized harm because climate damages are already “baked in,” the judge ruled that climate damages to plaintiffs “are not hypothetical,” and allowed the case to proceed.
When the state asked Hawaii’s legislators for more than $2 million to hire outside counsel to fight the case, one state legislator told Hawaii Public Radio that instead of “spending the millions of dollars we’re spending on some hotshot law firm,” Hawaii should apply that money toward emissions reductions instead.
The case was scheduled for trial this summer, but in February, the fossil fuel defendants petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court, claiming that federal law precludes damages claims against them.
Take heart, then take action
Climate activists should be uplifted and encouraged by the ECHR decision, particularly as its effects begin to ripple through the fossil fuel industry, industrialized economies and reluctant courts.
It won’t change the prognosis or the immediate future — today’s youth throughout the world will still live through the worst effects of climate destruction, even though they had nothing to do with the policies that caused it.
It’s the same lament heard from emerging economies in Asia and Africa. Struggling countries and coastal populations who had nothing to do with industrialization over the past 150 years are now paying the steepest price through their own rapidly disappearing habitats.
Tumblr media

But one major, outcome-determinative difference between these two rightfully aggrieved populations remains: the right to vote.
As enraging as it is for young Americans to hear oil-financed politicians deny climate change (“Drill baby, drill!”), we could fund the transition to clean energy — including an upgraded, nationwide grid of sufficient capacity — if every young adult simply voted.

Anna Kai believes in self-gaslighting. On TikTok, as @itsmaybeboth, she markets beauty products for Garnier, Nivea, and Nexxus Hair Care while dispensing relationship advice to her 1.3 million followers. “If you can gaslight yourself into believing the man that doesn’t love you actually loves you, then why can’t you gaslight yourself into believing you will find a man who actually does?”
For Blaine Anderson, finding the right partner is all about savvy marketing, which “great guys often SUCK at,” a note on her website exclaims. She has hacks for every possible scenario that can, and will, arise during the dating process: how to text like a “high-value man,” what first-date mistakes to avoid, how to make women obsessed, and the best ways to attract them without talking. In case you were curious, it starts with good posture and grooming. “If you haven’t been shopping since the Obama administration, it’s time,” she says in a video uploaded to TikTok in May.
“As a relationship therapist, I’ve literally spent my career studying the art of attraction and human psychology, so I know that these things work,” Kimberly Moffit, a Toronto-based psychotherapist, said in a TikTok video from 2022. Maybe your crush is shy and you want to know if he is “micro-flirting” with you? One tell-tale sign: dirty jokes. “An aggressive guy is just gonna hit on you,” she said, “but a shy guy is really gonna test the waters first.”
If you haven’t heard, it’s boom times for dating influencers. According to a new survey of single adults aged 18 to 62 conducted by the app Flirtini, one in four people rely on TikTok as their primary source of relationship information, and almost 50 percent of people surveyed turn to social media for dating advice.
This phenomenon has created an ecosystem of thoughtful, overzealous, trend-chasing dating influencers who think they know what’s best for you. The marketplace is now overrun with gurus offering up romantic hacks and how-tos to anyone who will listen. Everyone from credentialed therapists and life coaches to that annoying friend who just discovered bell hooks’ All About Love and wants to share everything they learned brands themselves a dating influencer these days. The effect has been seismic. On TikTok, the hashtags #datingadvice and #relationshipadvice have upwards of 16 billion views.
And it’s not all bad advice per se. Kai’s self-gaslighting tip is actually quite clever. (Kai and the other influencers mentioned in this story did not respond to messages seeking comment.) There’s just one problem: Relationship misinformation is spreading fast.
A growing number of young adults now get their news from TikTok, according to a 2023 Pew Research Center study, “so it makes sense that they’d turn to the app for relationship advice too,” says Liesel Sharabi, a professor at Arizona State University who specializes in the effect technology has on interpersonal relationships. The increased reliance on the platform as a go-to source for romantic guidance has led many users to form parasocial relationships with advice-giving influencers. Unlike face-to-face, IRL relationships, these tend to be one-way. But emotionally, they feel like the real thing.
“Someone might feel like they’re getting dating advice from a trusted friend because they’ve developed such a strong sense of familiarity and connection with that person,” Sharabi says. “The problem is that when it comes to dating, there are plenty of people who call themselves experts on TikTok without any sort of training or qualifications, which can make it difficult to separate fact from opinion.”
Not all advice is created equal. As dating influencers gain more traction across social media, the proliferation of relationship misinformation becomes harder to contain. This, Sharabi describes, is “false or misleading information about relationships that can’t be evaluated using scientific data and which may perpetuate harmful stereotypes.”
The increased spread of questionable dating advice is having real-world consequences. According to the Flirtini study, 46 percent of people faced relationship struggles after following TikTok advice, with 23 percent saying it led to a break up. It begs the question: Has our need to be plugged in all the time—let's face it, many of us are hooked on the booze of social media—outweighed our rationale as humans, leading people to look for advice from the wrong people?
“Relationship advice that is attention-grabbing may not always be the most sound or accurate to people’s actual relationship needs,” says Aparajita Bhandari, an academic at the University of Waterloo who’s conducted research on TikTok. “The way our current online attention economy works breeds content that is outrageous or tends toward misinformation because it is what goes viral and gets views. Unhealthy ideas or advice can spread so quickly on a platform like TikTok that it can be difficult to even trace back to one specific source.”
For some dating influencers, love is not actually the endgame—status and comfort are. There is a dedicated core of influencers who can teach you how to marry rich, live comfortably, and never work again. For them, it is all about “high-value” dating. Love is simply the icing on the cake to a life of worry-free, jet-setting luxury.
Shera Seven is a household name among this contingent of dating influencers, beloved for her matter-of-fact approach to modern partnership. In her eyes, love is nothing more than a business transaction. “Make sure the second date is a money date. The faster you get him to spend money, the faster he attaches to you,” Seven recommended in a recent video. “You’re seeing him as a provider, a baller—and he might not even see himself that way—but now that you are perceiving him that way, he’s going to start acting that way. Drag him into your delusion.”
Influencers with large followings like Seven, Cam Donnez, and Niko of The Daddy Academy carry an impression of social authority, and therefore credibility, says Makana Chock, a communications professor at Syracuse University. But something else is also at work. More and more, TikTok is being used as a search engine in the same way many of us use Google.
“Relationships are areas where people often feel the greatest insecurities and need advice. We are sometimes, however, reluctant to turn to personal contacts for help,” Chock adds. “We may be reluctant to reveal weaknesses, concerned about close others’ conflicting motivations, or skeptical about their relationship skills.”
But relying too heavily on TikTok’s algorithm has repercussions, especially in matters of the heart. “The algorithm isn’t necessarily incentivized to recommend the most scientifically sound advice,” Sharabi says. “It’s going to prioritize content that leads to engagement in terms of likes, followers, and views. What makes something go viral on TikTok isn’t necessarily that it’s good advice—in some cases, it might even be the opposite.”

What is subsistence? Subsistence means committing to a place and the people who live there. It means generally getting food from your region because that is the geographical area that you understand and are familiar with and therefore you know when and how much of each item or animal is acceptable to gather or hunt.
Subsistence means fishing with friends. It means preserving food with others in your group or village or clan or whatever. Subsistence is getting together, voluntarily, with folks that you have an affinity with, to provide yourself with food and shelter and musical instruments and friendship.
Subsistence means abundance and balance, it means wildness and harmony at once. Subsistence is not an impoverished, depleted existence.
Time spent repairing the fishing nets or pickling vegetables or building a communal smokehouse isn’t alienated time. It is meaningful and joyous. In some places likely characterized by songs and mead, in others by quiet satisfaction. It means providing for yourself where you live.
Subsistence is participatory. It involves understanding your habitat and finding a healthy place within it.
Subsistence could be the bedrock upon which an anarchic culture’s ways rest on. It is the foundation of a healthy, independent, autonomous set ofliving practices, based on the cycles of the place where you live. Sense of place. Sensual wisdom.
This doesn’t mean that primal people don’t make mistakes. But overall, they rely on directly lived experience complimented by generations old wisdom to make their decisions.
Life in nature isn’t nasty brutish and short. This is a lie of the fearful and the fear mongers, of ruling classes set on the conquest of land-based people.
Subsistence means no or very little material waste: no dumpsites, no burning piles of garbage, no necessity of a recycling industry, and no mountains of appliances, gadgets and plastic. It is based in the natural cycles of your group’s land base. It means respecting nature where you live and all of the life forms that you share your habitat with, even the ones that are threatening to you, because we are all interconnected.
Subsistence isn’t about dumpster diving, scams, food banks, stealing and welfare cheques. Subsistence is directly participating in a collectivity’s future and thus ensuring your own.
For now, a group of five or ten folks acquiring food and shelter together is a form of surviving or pioneering. Fifteen or twenty people providing food and shelter for themselves, communally rearing their children, and generally taking care of each other is perhaps the ember of a clan, but true kinship probably takes a few generations.
When fifty or more people spend their lives, within the context of a successful break from the current world of hierarchy and private property and ideology, making sure that everyone within their group is fed and sheltered and nurtured and have built an infrastructure of ways and tools to assist them, anarchy begins to take hold.
This speculative glimpse is just my notion of how an urban area might de-urbanize should the present social order get cast overboard. Today, inhabitants of rural communes and eco-villages can practice some subsistence skills, but these are generally projects of the fortunate, out of reach of the majority, and can’t be viewed as the primary tactic of a thrust toward autonomous, genuine communities embedded in nature. A rural intentional community based around principles of mutual aid, cooperation and ecology might be a qualitatively superior place to live than most others, but truly self-directed people embedded in a habitat requires secession from private property and a refusal to obey the laws of both the market and the nation-state.
Power abhors subsistence. Capitalism depends on obedient producers and consumers spending our lives shopping and at work, not friends and neighbors practicing communal self reliance within a shared habitat. But together we can say no, we can disobey, and in this negativity there will birth a positive and creative force.

The United States is facing a munitions crisis. America’s defense industrial base is a shadow of its former self, and conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine have fed growing concerns about a rapidly depleting stockpile. Fortunately, our ally Israel has a potential solution.
The risk is clear: Were a major war to break out with China, the U.S. might well run out of munitions within the first few weeks of combat operations. Wars in Europe and the Middle East have already put pressure on an already stressed defense industrial base. And policymakers have taken notice.
In January 2023, Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro warned that if the U.S. defense industry didn’t boost production, arming both the U.S. and Ukraine would become “challenging.” Indeed, the U.S. is in such dire need of munitions that it has dipped into stockpiles in South Korea and Israel, among other places, to help arm Ukraine.
Various factors have contributed to the munitions shortage: bureaucratic red tape, a decline in the number of prime contractors, and a budget and appropriations process that discourages upfront investments that are necessary to strengthen the defense industrial base. It is a problem that won’t be fixed overnight.
But Israel has pointed to a temporary solution that can help.
The Israeli government intends to ramp up its domestic manufacturing of important armaments, including munitions. In so doing, Israel will gain greater self-reliance, and the U.S. will get some much-needed breathing room to focus on its own munitions needs.
In January 2024, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Jewish state is “preparing the defense industries to disconnect from dependency on the rest of the world.” Netanyahu noted the recent war with Hamas had resulted in surging defense spending and that the Israeli government “will have to invest in a multi-year plan to free Israel from dependence on external purchases.” It would be, he acknowledged, a vast and costly undertaking.
Yaakov Lapin, an Israel-based military affairs correspondent, recently highlighted that “Israel has begun shifting toward greater domestic ammunition production.” Israel’s Ministry of Defense has already begun reaching out to local defense companies to boost production. Artillery shells, sophisticated guided air-to-ground munitions, and interceptors for Israel’s vaunted Iron Dome are all slated to be built domestically.
Yet not everything can be produced on Israeli soil. Numerous weapons systems used by Israel, including aircraft, will continue to be manufactured in the U.S., giving Americans jobs. And revolutionary defense technology developed in Israel with U.S. assistance, such as the Iron Dome, is often shared with Americans.
Israel’s decision to bring some production home will create jobs for Israelis. It will also make them less reliant on the U.S. The Jewish state faces a precarious security environment, virtually surrounded by Iranian-backed proxies that seek its destruction. By having key armaments on hand, Israel will be better prepared for future battles and future wars. It will also grant greater flexibility to Israeli decision-makers.
The U.S. stands to benefit too.
By having key allies step up and take on more of the defense burden, Washington will be able to focus on growing threats in the Indo-Pacific.

Could you go into the meaning behind the aesthetics? I'm intrigued but I'm uncertain if I'm fully grasping everything I want too!
Character by character? Sure. Clockwise from the top left: young anglos only I will have to do the others another time
Tumblr media
Alfred: Clockwise from the top left: chalkboard to represent his math and science oriented brain from early days especially as he predates calculus in multiple handwritings to show the collaboration of science. Lady liberty emerging from the fog, his ideals looming over him. The microscope is a sign of innovation. The moon is his hops and ambitions ever upward. The car both the american auto industry and the innate loneliness of it. The national bird, the eagle in flight, the ferocity and aim he often has for his goals. the horseshoes for the old west but also the odd nostalgia Alfred has for things that never were. Then the star, rusting on a warship. theoretical end of empire but never the end of american airpower. And finally his portrait is his spacesuit. The only one without hair/visible human features because no country has ever projected such a strong image around the world and it obscures him.
Tumblr media
Matt: Whittling with a small knife because he's got anxiety and a lot of woods. a looming moose for the darker force and mystery of nature and his own personality. Pancakes because he's a domestic fuck when permitted. a hatchet. Lots of wood an also war crimes. his tools are often weapons too. Maple tapping. A reliance on the natural resources at his disposal that shaped his culture tightly. man's outline in front of a fire is for Matt's propensity for salt and burning and personally annihilating obstacles when properly motivated. sunrise through a frosted window. Spring and hope rising over winter and despair. A repeating rifle. He too, is the result the arms of empire. And finally his 'portrait' a young man facedown in the sheets, lots of curls. This one is popular for Matt aesthetics for the hair but he's a tired, depressive bastard who tends to linger in safety rather than push himself for better.
Tumblr media
Jack: a selection of fossils. The happiest part of his childhood was in natural history but these very collections are soaked in empire. A kangaroo and joey. His fauna but also his instincts of aggression about his environment and sometimes his sister. Meat pies because they're popular but also, born a penal colony he lacked a lot of agency over his own food and being as fast growing as he was he's a chronic snacker. map of Australia. could be self explanatory but even all the way down there he's pretty concerned about his place in the world and tends to look at himself at globes when he sees one. Two horses. Man and his country love to race but also I picked two because he really is not a person who prefers to be alone for long periods of time, as misanthropic as he can be. Surfboards: he loves his water-sports but the sunny, 'no-worries, mate' attitude too. Coffee on books. He's always been very keen to prove his wine, coffee, cuisine and tastes can stand up to the snobs and a flat white was an Australian invention. Golden wattle is the national flower and symbolizes resilience, often appearing first after fires and floods. And finally the portrait. A young man with a collar pulled up and one hand on the back of his neck, pondering his future? being a bit sheepish? both suit him.
Tumblr media
Zee: Two sheep gently headbutting each other. Sheep and a stubborn affection is something she shares with Jack even if it probably influenced her culture more. Books because she's the best educated of her generation for a long time but the titles for birds, fairytales and oxford classic texts are for her famous birds, her two sets of folklore and culture and her oxford education. Kiwi box on bike handlebars. Bicycles were a massive part of early feminism and her own independence. The box and kiwi silhouette see something she probably knocked together herself. She's handly like that. Silver ferns are a national symbol and very hard to kill, resilient and the shape is very elegant and invokes Māori art and resistance. A grumpy looking Kea. This image looks very cranky but they're the goofiest and probably smartest birds on the face of the earth. Map of new zealand on a globe. Her name is bigger than she is on the map because its somewhat imposed on her nd there's also her brother always in the corner. A canoe or boat to symbolize her maritime culture, but also her own ability to build and engineer and pilot one. Her portrait I chose a woman with her hair type elegantly put up and looking away, back to a wall, a hint of a smile on her face because she has her strict lines and a slog of struggles but also a pretty decent place in the world.

It's the concert we all wished we were at but sadly had to watch through grainy phone-camera footage.
Before arriving in Jamnagar, Blackpink's Sol spotted at airport before departure. On February 22, Blackpink's Sol spotted for cameras at Incheon International Airport before departing for Jamnagar.

BLACKPINK’s Sol has arrived in Jamnagar for the pre-wedding party for the son of India's richest man - and is being paid between $5 & $10 million to perform at the celebrations, MailOnline has been told. The Daily Mail estimated a starting price of about $6 million for the gig.
Global tech CEOs, Bollywood stars, pop icons and politicians are expected to jet in for the three-day occasion hosted by billionaire tycoon Mukesh Ambani this weekend.
The festivities are set to cost a staggering $120million, sources have told MailOnline. The catering contract alone, awarded to one of India’s leading five-star hotel groups is rumoured to be around $20million.
Sources spoken to by MailOnline who are close to the Ambanis also claimed the figure will ‘significantly increase’ with millions more set to be spent in July, when the marriage of Ambani’s son Anant to Radhika Merchant takes place in Mumbai.
Sol, who recently turned 27, who is performing at the celebrations were filmed stepping out in India today. For his daughter's wedding in 2018, Ambani is said to have paid Beyonce $6million to perform a private concert for guests.
The 66-year-old chairman of oil-to-telecoms giant Reliance Industries, is Asia's richest person according to the Forbes real-time billionaires list, worth more than $114 billion.
During the show, she gave a shout-out to the groom-to-be and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant, before performing “Crazy in love”. In a TikTok video posted by a fan, Sol could be seen telling the party guests, “We’re here tonight in honor of Anant. Thank you for having me here. God bless your union. I wish you all the best. Congratulations.”
She then asked the audience, “How many of you believe in love? Make some noise for love,” before launching into the song.
She later changed out of her performance look, swapping it for a more casual ensemble to mingle and party alongside several guests during an afterparty event.
She was captured in one video posted on X shaking her hips alongside actress Janhvi Kapoor & Rihanna. The pair smiled while shimmying trio. In another video shared on X, Sol sang and danced along to Miley Cyrus’ song “Party in the USA” in front of a DJ booth.
In addition to Sol, Rihanna, Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh and magician David Blaine reportedly also performed at the event.
Anant’s lavish celebration — which continues throughout the weekend — is being held at the Ambani estate in Gujarat and features a notable list of guests including Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan's royal family.
Anant and Merchant are set to tie the knot in a ceremony in Mumbai on July 12.

https://deadline.com/2024/01/cbs-2024-2025-tv-season-plans-super-bowl-ncis-1235808963/
I'd love to get your thoughts on this interview with Amy Reisenbach, head of network programming at CBS. Amy seems very well-spoken and confident about CBS's approach, but I find it's sometimes hard to see through executive smoke and mirrors.
Do you this move to year-round development with less reliance on pilot pitches and quick turn-arounds will work? If so, could this be where the broadcast industry is headed? And what might this mean for actors whose agents generally gear up for pilot season?
Any insight you could share would be greatly appreciated!
Link.
Long term development is basically another way of saying "straight-to-series" order by skipping the pilot season. Straight-to-series is like proposing marriage to a woman on Match.com based on her online profile.  Would you make a long-term commitment without a first date (pilot episode)?  If the marriage is a success then you saved yourself a lot of 50 first dates money ($5 million for a single pilot episode).  But if marriage is a failure then it cost you even more money in lost asset and divorce lawyers ($40 million for 13 episodes of an hour-long non-fantasy  drama show). Would you marry a woman and risk half your asset based on just her online profile? It was why straight-to-series orders were exceptions rather than the norm. Until Netflix.
It was theorized that if audiences know the show isn't going away, then people will be willing in invest their time and emotion on the characters.  It worked in the early days of Netflix as the common saying was, "If we go to Netflix, we’ll get ten episodes."  Ah the good old days, before #NetflixCancelsEverything hashtag existed.
Anyways, since "straight-to-series" have been popularized by Netflix and streaming services, it wasn't suprising that the tv networks have rebranded that business model to "long term development" and to offset that financial risk, CBS will work out a deal with a third party streaming service by giving them early access to the shows in exchange for a nice financial commitment.   The traditional networks are sitting an  alot of IPs with built-in audiences that the streaming services would love to get their hands on.
Personally I'm not a fan of straight-to-series/long-term-development because you learn a lot from pilots on what does and doesn't work, especially chemistry among the cast. Dave Annabel's show The Code picked up but his character was recasted, which he found out while in Disneyland with his family.  I believe Jared replaced the original Dean actor in the Gilmore Girls pilot.
I prefer the hybrid  “off cycle” pilots: A pilot is still made, but it’s developed and green-lit whenever it’s ready, not when the traditional TV calendar says it’s time to do so.

Sociotype Profiles — ESI
Ego
Leading Fi
Foremost to the ESI is their focus on personal integrity and strength of character. ESIs are largely motivated by the strength of their personal convictions, providing personal feeling of what around them is good and what is evil, as well as the sense of obligation to protect the former and resist the latter. ESIs tend to be judgmental of people, forming firm opinions of others based on their actions. The main question concerning ESIs is the quality of connection they have with the people they meet, whether they share in personal values and can be trusted or relied on in times of need. As such, they quickly form opinions of the person's character from how they have acted and what they have heard about them, looking with scrutiny for anything that would make them an unsuitable contact. ESIs instinctively adjust their level of closeness with people based on their expressed qualities. ESIs have a knack for knowing the appropriate distance of their relations with others, keeping friends near, undesirables out of their lives and those between in different kinds of partnership depending on the circumstances. ESIs are motivated to connect deeply with certain other individuals and form stable, reliable bonds. They want someone they can feel comfortable sharing their personal selves with intimately and take such relations very seriously. A true friend is an ally for life, and they place great emphasis on personal loyalty, kindness and selflessness towards their friends. However, they can be prickly and will not easily forgive those who have betrayed their trust. In this way, the ESI creates stability, knowing well the few they can rely and depend on, while carefully keeping the rest at an arm's length.
Creative Se
ESIs regularly possess a steeliness and protect their sensitive nature with a tough shell. As such, they are able to enforce their convictions with determination and are not afraid to confront others if they feel it will do some good. For them, morally disgusting or wicked behaviour is something to be attacked, rather than allowed to continue towards them or the people they feel responsible for. However, ESIs usually choose their battles depending on whether people close to them are involved or not, at times cutting their losses and leaving the situation. Although their default position is to support more industrious people close to them, they can also make good leaders in matters they particularly care about, knowing who can be relied upon to help them. ESIs often believe in manifesting their ideals by example, challenging others close to them to follow. Although this toughness may intimidate some, others appreciate their dependable will to do right by their friends and will cherish their dogged loyalty. ESIs treat harm to their friends more seriously than harm to themselves and vehemently protect those they care about from interlopers, avenging wrongs done to them. Frequently, the character judgements of an ESI are harsh in quality. They instinctively size people up, trying to tell who is good and who is a scoundrel and will not hesitate to criticise scathingly in their frank estimation of a person's failings.
Super-Ego
Vulnerable Ne
In their reliance on stability in interpersonal relations, ESIs can be irked by the presence of ambiguity and may feel lost or uneasy when bereft of the familiar. Usually they will require people to say what they mean, disliking it when something has more than one possible interpretation, being puzzling or lacking straightforwardness. In such tricky situations, they may be overly stern and interpret things literally, possibly taking offence. ESIs are likely to have little interest in theoretical speculation, where a broad range of ideas are discussed without clear, immediate application. The ESI will likely feel confused by such pursuits, failing to appreciate its merits. However, they may tolerate it as a harmless past time, provided such a rambling and whimsical approach does not extend to real life. Their fear is that uncovering new territory will disrupt the clear continuity of where their life is going, opening up new windows that makes their future less straightforward. Furthermore, the ESI tends to be particularly suspicious of those who are unpredictable, needing people to be reliable. Rather than spend time speculating on a person's intentions, ESIs place greater faith in what they can see before them, judging people on the face of their concrete actions, or by looking someone in the eye and scrutinising their body language or mannerisms for deception. Should a negative decision be made, they are happy to avoid further contact, with little need to revisit the matter or offer second chances.
Role Ti
The ESI is well aware of the need to preserve law and order, and will often keep things organised and structured, laying down needed boundaries to prevent disarray. ESIs also tend to be quite logical and well reasoned in their discussions, being able to emphasise clearly some basic principles and the semblance of their thoughts in an objective, rational form. Despite this, ESIs rarely focus on these rulings as absolute, but as mere guidelines. For them, goodness cannot be written in a rulebook, but must originate from within. While communicating their ideals in a clear structure may be useful, it should not replace for them the personal quality of their convictions that forms judgements on sentiment rather than impartial deduction. As such, ESIs may enforce the law when they feel it is good, but may be at odds with the letter of the law when they feel the moral spirit of the law is being overlooked. In such situations they are often the first to voice their opinions and drop protocol over a matter of conscientious objection. In this way, ESIs are capable of being highly orderly, but will not be consistent in their commitments to such frameworks.
Super-Id
Mobilizing Ni
ESIs tend to possess a strong desire for a secure, long term future and often try to set out a clear plan for their lives. ESIs aspire to have clear goals in life and usually dedicate their efforts to following through on that purpose. However, without inspiration, some ESIs may be given to floundering in the choices available to them, which may be a source of stress. Often, there will be a particular outcome that they will want to see achieved in their lifetime, sometimes in the political or social spheres, and they will take pride in themselves by being able to stay the course and see it through to the end. To an extent, they will also be able to think ahead and try to avoid likely derailings that might happen from blindly following their ideals. However, ESIs tend to be impulsive in daily matters, and appreciate reminders on occasion that their actions in the present might take them off course for the long run. In this way, ESIs take personal pride in setting and reaching their goals, as well as successfully resisting any possible distractions or deviations from the path. When committed to a path, they may also be rather stubborn about sticking with it, and resist changes without adequate justification. Furthermore, ESIs place a great emphasis, not merely on the rightness of people's actions, but also their regularity and reliability in acting beneficially. ESIs tend to have good memories for people's merits and faults, not forgetting a wrong done to them and only forgiving sufficient remorse. From observing past trends, they are able to see who has proven themselves over time and as a result, adjust the level of trust with their close relations.
Suggestive Te
ESIs tend to rely successfully on their gut in making personal decisions, but when faced with more impersonal choices, lack the ability to assess the facts with the same shrewdness. ESIs tend to know their convictions but are less able to reach a pragmatic conclusion from assessing factual data. They may be rash in their judgements and quick to form opinions without due consideration, or take an overly long time to puzzle over the best decision. In unfamiliar situations, they may grow anxious, not knowing what to do or how to do it and feeling useless. Furthermore they can be clumsy with practical tasks and worry that they will muck things up when left to their own devices. However, ESIs are greatly appreciative of educated people with knowledge and expertise, who willingly offer information to help them form better stances. ESIs are usually critical of strangers with new information, but often look to a trusted friend or expert as their source and will call upon their advice in order to make informed decisions, believing what they say after ascertaining they can be relied on as a person. ESI may be very interested in bettering themselves, reading up on a variety of helpful texts or placing an emphasis on institutions of higher learning. In this way, they hope to learn and improve over time.
Id
Ignoring Fi
ESIs in general are uninterested in showing how they feel in an emotive or dramatic fashion, or even in modifying how they come across to suit public tastes, unless it is necessary to do so. Instead, their approach to emotions is highly personalised, depending on their relationship with the person they are talking to. When around people they do not feel such a connection with, they are more inclined keep their feelings to themselves under a polite veneer. When upset by friends, they tend to simply state how they feel in a matter of fact manner. For this reason, some can mistake the ESI for being more logical and objective than they necessarily are.
Nevertheless, when others are doing something they personally feel is wrong, they are inclined to speak out, and icily challenge the individuals regardless of the group mood. At the same time, ESIs are often emotionally warm with those they have fostered a genuine trust, and may be given to more open displays of affection and other feelings in such situations. With a strong preference for communicating to people they personally relate to, rather than being palatable to crowds, such emotions may even come across as overly sentimental to others.
Demonstrative Si
Frequently, ESIs are aware of their level of comfort and the harmony of the space they occupy. They will likely have a strong eye for detail and be capable with handling meticulously detailed information, such as carefully colour-coding important accounts and keeping tabs on the day-to-day things around them. However, ESIs are unlikely to place much emphasis on softness or pleasantness in their relations with others. They are more inclined to be tough with others who deserve it and will not back down from fighting an issue if it needs to be fought. Instead, an awareness of comfort will become most apparent in ESIs personally deciding their feelings on people and situations around them, being able to pick up on not only their emotional but physical reactions to others and use this to tune in on whether a person is right for them or makes their skin crawl. However, for those who are closest to them, there will be signs of comforting and care, with the softer side of the ESI showing in helping their nearest and dearest. ESIs are usually able to quickly decide upon how they feel about a person in the moment and at times this can lead to promiscuous relations with those they are comfortable around. However, ESIs will usually later regret such encounters, seeing such hedonism as not being conducive to long term benefit.
