Well you my friend, are in the right place. You may not know this but I am certified in reiki, I learned a lot of the teachings back in 2012. But I actually learned about the Chakras First FROM a reiki master teacher  – #irony.  

There’s been a lot of hooplah in different modalities and trends around What works and what doesn’t.

BUT – I’d like to offer you a different perspective, There’s often different Energy Tools for Different Energy & Conscious Awareness Needs. Let me explain.

Human Design: Energy Awareness Tool

Human Design is causing a massive uprising in the Personal Development space along with the Spiritual Business environment. People are redesigning their careers/businesses, changing their productivity routines, dropping relationships and reinventing themselves all because they downloaded a new personality test from their birth chart 🙂 

Human design is a great Energy Tool to understand yourself and your Body’s rhythms. It can be a deconditioning tool but in my research, i have found this is where it gets a little lost in communication. It feels like playing with a neuro-puzzle: Looking up gene keys, decyphering gates, having to translate different body types of authority and it gets really really complicated unless you are a prof, it’s a lot more difficult to do the deconditioning experiment. If interested in human design I recommend shopping around and doing research to find a certified teacher. 

Best  Energy Tool For: Body Awareness, Knowing your Energy Type, Your Productivity and Workflows, Habit creation,  How your personal energy Operates, Managing your Menstrual cycle better and Understanding if you’re an defined sacral or undefined sacral helps your physical/mental health.  Human design chart I recommend: Mybodygraph

EFT: Clearing Tool

Emotional Freedom Technique is a great tool for Emotional Triggers or anyone who has suffered from trauma, depression or anxiety. It’s a clearing tool that focuses on certain energy meridians in the body. Personally, I don’t use EFT that often because I find it’s only good for releasing work not repatterning, but if it works for you, that’s great! Keep doing it! 

Energy Tool: Best for Clearing Work and Releasing Triggers or limited beliefs from the body 

Breathwork: Self-Regulation Tool

Breathwork is a great tool for Body Regulation and self-regulation of one’s nervous system. It helps with regulating blood flow and oxygen to one’s brain along with getting us out of the fight/flight response. There are numerous forms of Breathwork ranging from Yogic breathwork such as pranayama or breathe of fire with kundalini yoga. Then there are newer practices that focus on extended breathwork for trauma release or deep-seated wounds. there are tons of different forms of breathwork. 

I am personally more prone to traditional yogi styles, as I’ve already done a lot of self-healing and coaching. I find some breathwork practices to be a little bit extreme and not remotely necessary for clearing work.  It’s best to find the practice that serves you. 

Energy Tool: Self-Regulation, Relaxation, recalibrating energy field and if doing extended breathwork workshops: releasing stored trauma. 

Reiki: The Realignment Tool

Reiki has been around for awhile and it’s been popular since the age of Aquarius started. It’s often a great healing tool for people who are looking for more of a Realignment Process or Basic Healing sessions working on the entire energy body.

Energy Tool: Reiki is amazing for Healing the entire energy body. It is perfect for Re-alignment or Re-calibrating your energy just like an effective meditation practice. 

Crystal Healing: The Energy Amplifier

Crystals are a beautiful tool to use in your healing session or practice to help with clients who need something particular. They are great for working with the Chakras, meditation or Reiki practices.I find crystals to work as Energetic Amplifiers that help us intuitively heal, guiding us towards what we need to heal subconsciously. They often act as a subconscious guide towards directing us to what needs healing. Observing your thoughts while holding a crystal or asking yourself questions helps with the process.  Crystals are a great external tool for Amplifying your healing process but should be used with other Internal practices or working with a crystal certified healer as well for maximum results.  Energy Tool: Amplifier for the energy field and assistant in your healing journey. Great for Altars, working with Rituals, reiki sessions, and raising consciousness.   

The Chakra System: Knowing Your Energy Systems   The Chakras have been an ancient practice that have been part of eastern medicine since the upanishads, better known as the Vedas. It is NOT a new age concept of western design like most people believe today.  

The Chakra System focuses on each Mental, Emotional, and behavioral system in the body, connecting to our endocrine system. 

I consider the Chakras to be like an Energetic psychological Map system to understanding your entire Energy Network. 

They Connect the Mind to the body merging both Limited Belief work, Emotional Healing and Repatterning Techniques that promote sustainable healing. 

The chakra have been my bread and butter for years on my healing journey.  I continously come back to the chakras.

They have especially helped me put a name to what was happening to me in my spiritual awakening.

it also helped produce so much emotional healing, release many symptoms  and helped me even rewire beliefs for manifesting successfully in my life.

The Chakras Go Beyond the Surface Level into your Energy Systems

My understanding of the chakras has been different from the get-go. I am so grateful that I learned the chakras in such a unique way that focused on the Law of attraction as it’s helped me develop my framework inside of The Ultimate Chakra Academy. 

Most chakra teachings are very textbook and surface level. It isn’t unlikely to come across healing methods that focus on color therapy, crystals, doing yoga asanas or god forbid someone saying to go lay in nature to heal your chakras.  –

AN: I made this one a High School AU, so my 13 year old former self is living for all the cliches right now. Also, demons exist here, but they’re hidden amongst the human population. 

Annd that brings us to the end of my tumblr prompts ^^ Hope you liked them. Now I’ll refocous on my WIPS that I’ve been neglecting...oops.

Sesshoumaru did not usually concern himself with the musings of his fellow classmates. Especially not the more rowdy and skirt-chasing ones. Stepping out from the martial arts gym and flexing his slightly sore fingers- having struck an opponent in karate class a tad awkwardly, accidentally sending them to the hospital with a fractured clavicle- he stifled a sigh. Father had told him he needed to learn restraint. It felt somewhat difficult to hold himself back though. There were so few humans who could keep up with him. 

Crossing through the empty school courtyard, he paused as a whistle blew. 

A small crowd of students had assembled by the track field, cheering as their classmates ran at full speed, urged on by the noise.

Ah, that’s right. Tryouts were today. 

Not that it was any of his business, of course. But…

Sesshoumaru shouldered his bag, silently making his way over, wandering up the aisle of the bleachers and taking a seat. 

Blue eyes immediately found him. A young woman grinned, giving him a wave. 

Sesshoumaru inclined his head. It wasn’t just tryouts for the track team today- the cheerleaders were also hard at work. 

Kagome bounced on the spot, obviously a tad nervous. She was only taking part because her friends had insisted she’d fit the role they needed perfectly; though she already had her hands full with archery and swimming class after school. 

Her skirts swished with every movement, falling enticingly around her thighs.

Sesshoumaru’s brow twitched, and he exhaled slowly. 

“You see Higurashi trying out for the cheerleaders?” came a loud voice.

“Yeah, that uniform looks really damn good on her.”

Cold brown eyes narrowed. Sesshoumaru casually tipped his head to glance behind him.

He noticed a few notoriously rowdy and skirt-chasing boys in the crowd, sitting at the far back of the bleachers. 

“Ya think if they toss her up high enough we’ll see something good?”

“Idiot, you never watched them before? They practically wear bike shorts underneath those skirts to cover up the good stuff.”

“That's no fun.”

“Well we do get to see their tits jiggle.”

Heat crept up Sesshoumaru’s neck, blood starting to pump much too quickly through his system. Calm yourself, he exhaled a hot breath, hands curling into fists. Discipline. Control. He need not concern himself with their idiotic musings...

Behind the placid veil of his human glamour, sharp fangs ached.

By now Kagome had caught onto the fact that she had an audience. Tryouts were intimidating enough without high school boys gawking at her and making remarks. She winced, stepping up for her turn and readying herself to perform. Kicking up a toned leg, she began moving, twisting about her athletic body.

Sesshoumaru watched with rapt attention, muscles tensing every time she landed a jump. She’d progressed well. Worked hard.

“She’s so damn cute,” one of the boys sighed.

“Heh, she may be all lollipops and candy bars, but I bet behind closed doors she’s hand cuffs and gags.”

“Fuck, look at them bounce,” the pervert from before whooped. “I don’t think she’s wearing a sports bra!”

Kagome missed a step, stumbling. She then continued on as though nothing had happened, but her face had turned red, embarrassed.

And that was unacceptable.

Sesshoumaru rose from his seat, calmly vacating it and wandering leisurely down the steps. Kagome luckily enough was too distracted to notice as he looped around the back of the bleachers. Rising into the air unseen, Sesshoumaru flexed sharp claws, targeting a few central beams. Acid sprayed forth from his nails, eating into the wood beneath the loud student’s seats. He then drifted away- managing to touch down and watch Kagome finish up her set- just as the wood gave way beneath the boys. They let out high pitched noises, plummeting through a sizable gap.

Whether they were seriously injured or not, Sesshoumaru did not know nor care. He joined Kagome by her backpack, offering a bottle of water as she caught her breath. 

“Thanks,” she panted, taking a long drink and wiping at a sweaty brow. “What happened over there?” blue eyes glanced over to the commotion in the stands. 

He lifted a shoulder, lips curving. “Who can say?”

Kagome smiled, lowering her voice, “you’re not supposed to do that stuff at school, Sesshoumaru.”

“Hn, there were no witnesses to dispose of. I think it was worth it,” he uttered, gaze sliding over her form. “You did...acceptable.”

Kagome grinned, “thanks! Practicing so much really paid off. I owe you for all your help preparing,” she said, looping her arm through his and leaning up on tip-toe, kissing his striped cheek that appeared as smooth, pale skin to everyone else.

Long lashes lowered slightly, brown eyes warming, briefly appearing golden.

“Let’s go find Inuyasha,” she said, immediately souring his good mood. Sesshoumaru tipped his head back and groaned as Kagome tugged him to start walking, leading him forward. “Don’t give me that- he was excited to run today. And that’s notable! He never shows enthusiasm for anything! We should cheer him on.”

“As his best friend- you may cheer him on. I will watch and silently judge him.”

“Big bully,” she muttered, leading the concealed demon around some groups of friends lingering on the field. 

“...I really should’ve worn a sports bra,” the words came, mumbled.

Sesshoumaru glanced at her, lips thinning. “You heard them?”

“Well yeah, they were loud enough,” Kagome sighed. “I couldn’t find mine today. Did I...look bad?”

“Do not concern yourself with the opinions of mere boys.”

“I’m not asking them, I’m asking you,” she looked at him, trusting him not to lie.

Sesshoumaru hummed, shifting his arm free from her grip and sliding it around a slim waist instead. He ducked in close, wicked lips brushing her ear. 

“The sight was not displeasing for me. As for everyone else, I doubt they noticed. Only those paying your chest a significant amount of attention would know.”

“And are you to be counted amongst those paying a significant amount of attention?”

“Naturally. But we are dating. I am thus allowed.”

“Of course,” Kagome grinned, bumping hips with him. Her cheeks turned an attractive shade of red once more, leaning in close just as he inhaled the bewitching scent of concealed reiki fanning from her skin. “Do you wanna...fool around later?” she asked in a hushed, mischievous tone. “My family is going out for dinner if you wanna come over.”

His blank expression morphed into one of dark satisfaction. “Do you require me to bring the handcuffs?”

“No,” she hummed, waving it off. “I’m pretty sure I’ve got a spare set under my bed. I’ll text you later, don’t be late, okay?”

He flashed a sharp-toothed smile, long dark hair glinting silver for a moment under the hot glare of the sun. “I would not miss it for the world, miko.”

Witchcraft 101: Psychic Phenomena

What is Psychic Phenomena?

The internet describes it as: “phenomena that appear to contradict physical laws and suggest the possibility of causation by mental processes.” or “phenomena lying outside the sphere of physical science or knowledge.”

So, in layman’s terms, psychic phenomena are abilities and/or practises that do not comply with known laws of physics and deal with the metaphysical.

*Metaphysics is “a branch of philosophy that deals with the first principles of things, including abstract concepts such as being, knowing, identity, time, and space.”

✧ Automatic Writing:

Automatic Writing - also know as “psychography” - is, quite simply, the ability to write without conscious thought. This means that the writings done during an episode or session of Automatic Writing come from a spiritual source. Oftentimes, the writings will not make a lot of sense - Automatic Writing is a form of divination and thus, the writing must be be interpreted by the practitioner if the meaning is not immediately clear. // [How to Practise Automatic Writing]

✧ Clairaudience:

Clairaudience (clear hearing) is the ability to hear things that are not of this plane. For example, you may be able to hear the voices of spirits and entities that do not exist within the physical human world, or hear the voices of those who have passed. It is said that one can grow and develop this psychic ability over time with practise.

✧ Claircognizance:

Claircognizance (clear knowing) is best described as the ability to know something intrinsically. This means that you have knowledge of something, someone or a subject that you were not taught and cannot provide a background to. This is often referred to as a higher form of intuition and if you are claircognizant, you know that what you know is true beyond doubt.

✧ Clairgustance:

This psychic phenomena, is probably one of the stranger ones. Literally meaning “clear taste”, clairgustance is the ability to taste something without putting it in your mouth. This form of extra-sensory perception (ESP) is uncommon and those who possess this ability say that they can taste the essence of something from an astral or spiritual plane.

✧ Clairolfaction:

This is a form of ESP that enables the person with this talent to receive information by means of - for lack of a better description - psychic smelling. Yes, you did read that correctly. Much like the aforementioned Clairgustance, Clairolfaction is the ability to smell something - or as practitioners may say the essence of something - without a physical source for the stench to emanate from.

Clairolfaction is also known as “Clairscent”.

✧ Clairsentience:

Clairsentience (meaning “clear feeling”), is the ability to acquire knowledge by touch. The gifted individual may gain knowledge of emotion, memory, location and more by touching a person or an object that belongs/belonged to a person. Sometimes, a Clairsentient person may feel the presence of spirits too.

✧ Clairvoyance:

Clairvoyance (meaning “clear seeing”) is the ability to receive information about future events, or spiritual knowledge visually.

✧ Divination:

Divination is the umbrella term used for methods of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by spiritual means, such as using pendulums, dowsing, reading tarot cards, palmistry, and more.

✧ Energy Medicine:

Energy medicine, also known as spiritual healing, is a branch of alternative medicine based on the belief that healers can channel healing energy into a patient/client and effect positive results by doing so.

Reiki is a well known form of this.

✧ Mediumship & Channelling:

There are different types of mediumship and channelling (such as Ouija), but the best way to cover all the types with one small explanation, is to say that mediumship is the practise of communing with the deceased.

✧ Precognition & Premonition:

Precognition and premonition simply means that the person with this gift is able to have foreknowledge of an event/events. A common form of gaining this knowledge, is through clairvoyance and prophetic vision.

✧ Psychometry:

Psychometry is the ability to gain knowledge of a person - whether that is their location, personal knowledge, or otherwise - through contact with an inanimate object that is associated with them. Commonly the objects used in psychometry will belong to the person you are trying to gain knowledge about, and may be items of clothing or jewellery.

✧ Retrocognition:

This is also known as “postcognition” and is the opposite of precognition. This ability is described as being able to gain knowledge of an event that has already passed that cannot be learned through regular means and must be learned through extra-sensory perception.

✧ Second Sight:

Often, this term is used interchangeably with “clairvoyance” as it means that the person with this gift is able to predict and perceive future events before they occur through visual means. These visions are often symbolic in nature.

Second Sight has also been described as the ability to see something that cannot usually be seen, such as otherwordly entities.

✧ Scrying:

A form of divination, Scrying is the practise of foretelling the future or gaining foresight using a reflective surface, such as a mirror, crystal ball or water. // Scrying [Witchcraft 101]

This post will contain some UPG and some tips I discovered on my own as well as what others have taught me from their own personal experiences.

A lot of books that are on these lists have outdated, biased or even unaccredited information that often tends to say things that do not apply to today’s world. Authors that are most recommended are Raymond Buckland, Gerald Gardner, Scott Cunningham, Doreen Valiente, Starhawk, Silver RavenWolf & Margot Adler. While these recommendations are great, as I stated previously the information may not be accurate anymore. Read the books however and see what speaks to you. If you join these organizations, you should be able to find a group in your area in most cases. - Joining a Group: So you found a group and they seem to be the group for you. Talk to the Priest/Priestess/Member of the group and see if they’re accepting new members and how to join if so. This is going to vary depending upon the group, but make sure to take their instructions with care. If you start the joining process but then decide to opt out, then you have the right to do so. Keep an open line of communication regardless if there are any issues or not, just as a point of respect. Every groups joining process is going to be different, so do not expect the same process each time. - Warning Signs: Unfortunately, there are some people and groups who cross the line of boundaries that should never be crossed. Do not do anything you’re uncomfortable doing! As I already stated, even if you’re in the process of joining, you have the right to back out! Do not let someone force you into having intercourse, sharing bodily fluids, forcing you naked if you don’t wish to be, eating anything raw or alive or something you’re allergic to, taking any recreational drugs, cutting yourself or just plain out doing things that are against your personal moral code. Though I personally have not seen any of these things happen, they can occur. If at any point you’re uncomfortable, tell them. If they’re decent human beings, they won’t make you do it. However, if they are telling you ‘‘this is the only way’‘ and you still don’t want to do it, DON’T. Run far away from this group and avoid them.

Are Artists Born Or Made? Success Tips For The Self-Taught Artist.

Through formal training, artists are mentored and guided to improve and hone their creative skills. Via an art education, the artist gets an opportunity to explore and use various media, styles, and techniques, under the guidance of a teacher. When it comes to finding jobs and internships, having a degree in fine art is a great way to make you stand out and gives you a head-start over the self-taught artist.

While I have a great deal of respect for art grads, I believe like many others, that art is an energy that is fuelled by passion – the kind of passion that cannot be taught. I believe that art is a creative calling cant be taught.

The achievements of renowned masters like Van Gogh, Monet, the more recent M.F. Hussain, bear testimony to the fact that the lack of an art degree, does not mean a lack of talent. Vincent Van Gogh studied art briefly at the Antwerp Academy, but this had little influence on his approach to art. Some of the world’s best and most famous artists never had an art education.

A huge number of art aficionados, curators, collectors, gallerists and others from the world of art, believe that an art degree can curb spontaneity and prevent creative people from demonstrating the true depth of their talent – creativity cannot be hemmed in, structured, or taught – it has to be expressed. American Art historian Barbara Rose claims that educated artists, at times, produce art that looks “like homework.”

Unlike “homework art“ that follows the rules, art made by self-taught artists conveys a spontaneous, passionate, unbridled energy. I’ve really been looking forward to this post, but I knew it was going to be a longer post and I wanted to make sure I was ready to share it.

I’m currently typing this on my husband Michael’s new PC we built 2 days ago and the keyboard is sooooo loud. I love it and it makes me want to type even faster. I have my super fancy coffee concoction next to me and my essential oils (peppermint & frankincense) diffusing. 

SO. 

The last mmmmm 9 months I’ve done a complete 180. 2017 was a really big year of addiction for me. Addiction to food, toxic friends, alcohol, shopping, sugar, etc. I was severely depressed and by nature I’m not a super emotional person,but I cried more than I didn’t. I was good at hiding what was really going on thanks to social media and pretty pictures and I would focus my energy and attention on “fixing” and taking care of the people around me instead of focusing that energy on healing myself and finding the root cause to all my addictions and wounds.

Last fall I sat down one night and wine didn’t taste the same, candy gave me acid reflux and felt like it would get stuck in my throat, I was “losing” friends left and right and I racked up $10k in debt and interest was just building and building, so I cold turkey stopped spending money on anything outside of bills, groceries and gas. Just for some perspective I was debt free all of 2016, so there was legit zero reason for me to be in the debt I was, but because I just spiraled out of control shit hit the fan and I couldn’t stop. 

The alcohol stopped, impulsive spending stopped, sugar stopped, all the things... and come December I had this strong urge to purge my entire apartment. I threw out well over half my possessions and my goal was that everything needed to be purged and cleaned out before the new year because I was going to start a new routine, yoga, meditation, and all the woowoo things y’all read about now. 

On New Years Eve I pulled an oracle card that read “The time is here, the time is now.” I didn’t know what it meant at the time, but I trusted it. I started my yoga practice, 5am mornings, cleaning up my diet, meditation, smudging my space on the reg, and I kept pulling oracle cards on detoxing and being a light. It didn’t make sense to me at all, but I kept detoxing. Some of this was willingly and the other part I feel the Universe honestly had to step in and take over because I can be a very stubborn person.

I had someone come into my life and mirror to me how much I needed to heal my sexual abuse wounds and as soon as I did that back in March this person filtered out my life within a matter of weeks, but I’m so thankful for the super short season I had with this person because had it not been for them mirroring this wound back to me I really don’t believe I would have ever spoken up about when I was rapped 6 years ago and used/manipulated 4 years ago by 2 different people.

Within the last 2 months at this point I’ve had some really cool things happen. A life long friend reached out to me and asked if I had any tips to help her with a certain area of her life she was struggling with, 3 friends have started blogs because mine inspired them so much, I had another friend ask me about oracle cards and where to buy them, another text me asking about where I buy palo santo, my mom has called and asked me to pull an oracle card for her, the list goes on. It’s been AMAZING and makes me so happy. 

Now let’s back it up to maybe a month ago. 2 things happened. 1.) I pulled a “New Opportunity” oracle card and 2.) I had a really magically convo with a friend of mine. So with the new opportunity card that same day my boss at work reached out to me about a position opening at work and wanted to see if I wanted to apply for it, so I did, but here’s the thing. My oracle card said to not attach to my idea of what I think this new opportunity was and let it unfold in it’s own timing and the opportunity would be so amazing and reveal itself in a way that was amusing, so at work I cast my net and applied and went about my life. Well, I want to say around the time my boss let me know they had found someone else for the position I had a really interesting convo with a friend of mine (someone I had just within maybe a week or so had reconnected with) and we were making plans for me to go hang out with her and I had this urge to ask if I could bring my oracle cards and palo santo and she told me she would LOVE for me to bring them and then I asked her about burning rituals and yoga and if she’d be up for that and she was down for those as well, and then all the sudden after sending this I felt this really tight, but heavy and sad feeling in my chest, so I asked her if this was something she had been experiencing lately and she told me she had been feeling that way. So at this point I’m BUZZING and I’m hot and cold and just mind blown by this convo I’m having and I remember sending her a text saying that I really love being a light for others and holding space and being compassionate and giving them tools and blah blah blah and I looked up from my phone after sending this text and I looked at saw the number 59 in 3 different places on my computer back to back and I just knew there was a message in that, so I looked up what angel number 59 meant and LOOK AT THIS.

like WHAT!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I mean I could, but couldn’t. It all made sense to me in that moment. I’ve been doing all this inner work and detoxing and cleaning out and healing and strengthen my spiritual practice and speaking up and sharing what I’ve been learning, so I can be a light and help others do the same, but it HAD to start with me. 

But it didn’t stop there... it only got better.

So a week later Reiki came up and I did some research I found a course with a series of reading material and decided to purchase it and start learning about Reiki and within the first parts of the book everything came that much more together. With Reiki you need to be a clean, clear and open vessel. Meaning alcohol isn’t the best idea, sugar, chemicals, etc. ALL THE THINGS I’VE BEEN DETOXING FROM. These things dim your light and I mean if I’m supposed to be this lightworker I want to be the brightest and clearest light I can be, so it made me so happy and thankful that I was already ahead of game and cleared my body of all these things cause I can tell you right now if Reiki would have come up for me in 2017 and I read that I needed to stop drinking and eating the things I was and such I wouldn’t have done it. The Universe’s timing is always perfect and in that moment I believed it 10x more than I did before. 

So for May I decided on no social media because as much as I love IG I was wasting so much time on it and I really wanted to focus on learning about Reiki and incorporating it into my life and I wanted all the outside noise to be little to nothing and again...SOMETHING REALLY COOL HAPPENED. 

Awhile back in numerology I learned I’m a life path 1 (the leader), expression 11 (sensitive/intuitive) and heart’s desire 7 (the seeker) and when I found out I was an 11 it just confirmed so much for me. One of those things being that when I have a vision or dream or a strong gut feeling or get chills it’s for a reason and with me quieting all the outside noise around me I started to hear things. Like that still small voice you’ve maybe read about in the bible. This voice is very quiet, soft, but it’s become so clear and at first I didn’t understand why it felt like I was talking to myself or having the thoughts I was having and I really questioned it because at that point it wasn’t normal for me to hear this voice at all. I either felt or saw it. 

One morning I was doing Reiki on myself and I laid down and turned on some music and just laid there with my hands on my chest and I heard very softly and clear “move your hands to your root chakra” and it was almost like my hands became this magnet and just moved themselves to my root chakra and I just focused on breathing in this bright white light with a mixture of red and then I heard “move up” and my hands moved my my next chakra (sacral) and this repeated itself through each chakra and as soon as I laid my hands back on my chest the music stopped. So I sat up and was like “wtf just happened”? I felt so clear and just high in a sense and when I got up to turn on the lights two of them shattered. Nowwwwwwww I’m not saying I made them go out, buuuut the timing was interesting to say the least. I also pulled 2 oracle cards that morning and one of them said “Trust Your Intuition” and I was like “Yeah, yeah, cool. I already do that.” and went about my morning, but what didn’t click for me in that moment was what the card meant was trust that still, small voice I was hearing.

SO fast forward to my lunch break I went go to get my oil changed and as soon as I grabbed my keys and went to walk to my car I heard very clearly, but softly “don’t go get your oil changed today” and I questioned it and was trying to rationalize and make sense of why I was having this random thought and kept walking to my car and I shit you not the ENTIRE 5 minute drive to the oil change place I heard “don’t go get your oil changed today” and as soon as I pulled up the shop, got out of my car and went to sit down and wait someone backed into my car..............I was more upset at the fact that I heard “don’t go get your oil changed today”  and I didn’t listen. Sure, it was upsetting someone hit my car, but like I KNEW not to go and didn’t listen... buuuuut on my drive home I was audio messaging my friend Briee and it hit me that this kiiiiind of had to happen to get my attention enough to know that when I hear that still, small voice to liiissttteennnnn. So long story short, I won’t be questioning it in the future. LMAO. A few days after this event I had another little thing happened where I heard “grab your fairy cards”, so I did and I went to break room at work and said my prayer and asked for the card I needed to fall out of the deck in whatever number the universe saw fit and I kept hearing “close your eyes” and ima be real honest here and say I didn’t listen at first because I was at work and I had to eyes opened just in case someone walked by, but finally I listened and 2 cards somehow landed on top of my hand and I picked them up and heard “those aren’t your cards, put them back.” So did and then heard “close...your...eyes” so I finally listened and heard “shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, pull the top card” and this is the card I pulled. (see below)

I literally laughed out loud because again, the universe is testing me to see if I’ll listen when I hear that still, small voice. It’s a working progress, but I’m getting there. 

I have onnnnee more thing I want to add to this very long post. I was reading in the chakra part of my Reiki course and there was a section on sitting down and doing this writing exercise and answering these question associated with each chakra and I was reading each one something clicked. So with the chakra system you want to start from the ground up, so root up. Cause if you’re not grounded, expressing yourself creatively or aren’t strong in who you are as a person you...well, life is just going to feel off and crazy. I’m going to go ahead and share the questions asked in this course just in case they may help someone else. I’m only go to go as far as my heart chakra because that’s where I’m currently at with clearing my chakras. 

Root Chakra - 

What negative traits did your father mirror to you for your learning?

What negative traits did your mother mirror to you for your learning?

What negative traits have your mate/spouse/partner mirrored?

So for me personally with my root chakra within the last year and half I’ve taken the time to sit down and write “fuck you” letters to both of my parents. I put myself in the headspace of the little girl in me that didn’t understand my parents divorce, why my dad didn’t want me, why my mom never stood up for me and so on. The pages were tear filled and super long, but when I said my forgiveness prayer and burned it I really did feel this peace come over me and my relationship with both of them has gotten so much better since then. I found the root cause of my anger was linked to my mom of all people because of how much her suppression was mirrored to me growing up I thought it was never ok to speak up, stand up for myself or speak my truth. The repeating drama in my life showed up in friendships and I wholeheartedly believe it was linked to the poor relationships I had with my parents. Since healing my little girl wounds the repeating cycle of HELL has completely stopped and I’m able to stand my ground, speak up and communicate with all my amazing friends and have healthier friendships.

Sacral Chakra -

I really started to work on my sacral chakra unknowingly at the end of last year by stopping the alcohol, sugar, shopping addictions and then the sexual trauma/guilt/shame/body issues surfaced and I’ve since then healed from that. Sacral in check = COMPLETE

Solar Plexus Chakra - 

Are you becoming more aware when you are being bombarded by emotional energy being dumped into your auric field by another?

are your learning to set firm boundaries and conditions in a respectful and compassionate way?

Can you handle power situations by not reacting in an ego-centric way?

Do examine your closest relationships to determine who is siphoning off your emotional energy? Name several.

Do you teach by example rather than by setting rules to be blindly followed?

Man, oh man, does this hit home for me. Boundaries, boundaries, boundaries. I’ve REALLY been working on this and knowing when to speak my truth and stand my ground. I’m very aware of when I’m being someone’s dumpster and something I’ve really had to work on is not always being on for everyone and immediately available. Not saying I ignore everyone and don’t text back because that isn’t like me to do that, but if I want to wait awhile because I’m doing something else it’s ok to do so. I’ve also been learning when and where to say no and stick to it. I’ve noticed that since I’ve been inwardly making these changes and speaking up about them I don’t attract the “vampires” is what I’ll call them. You know the people that only take take take from you and give you nothing in return. Yeah, not about that life anymore. 

Heart Chakra - 

Are you growing more aware of the heart centered emotions you feel?

Can you truthfully say that you are beginning to listen to your “angel heart” which radiates love and acceptance to you and those around you?

Do you prevent others from learning their lessons when encountering their difficulties by giving too much kindness - by doing it from them?

Can you allow others to return kindness to you by accepting both giving and receiving in a gracious and balanced way?

Have you experienced feelings of unworthiness or of not being loved?

Have you tried following the patterns to these feelings back to a source point?

What did you discover?

Are there people in you life you need to forgive? Name them.

Are there things or events that occasionally bother you and that you feel you should be forgiven for? List these.

Now I’m only as of the last few days working on this energy center, so I don’t have much to add to it outside of saying I’m working on it. It was revealed to me very clearly in an oracle card that I’ve “graduated” from clearing my solar plexus and have moved up to my heart space, so I’m excited to see what all unfolds in the days to come with this energy center because I do know this is an area I need to desperately work on and heal. I’m not perfect, but I’m willing to at least turn around and face what I need to face in the area of forgiveness and acceptance. 

MAN THIS WAS A LONG POST. I’ve been working on it for 3 hours non-stop. Phew. I beeeliiieevveee I got everything I wanted/needed to get out, out.

Fighting Depression Fatigue Using Holistic Self-Care

- Get exercise. 30 mins of aerobic exercise can stimulate increased energy and promote better sleep.

- Eat well. Choose complex carbs like vegetables, whole grains, and fresh fruits, and stay away from extra fatty foods during the daytime (they can make you sleepy).

- Sleep hygiene. Avoid caffeine/chocolate/sugar for ~6 hrs before bed. Don’t eat heavy meals before bed. Establish a regular sleep schedule. Get regular exercise, but not right before bed if possible. Keep your bedroom quiet, dark & comfortable. Don’t use your phone in bed, use your bedroom only for sleeping in and leave the room as soon as you wake/get up. 

- Drink water often. Herbal tea and Pero works too.

- Limit sugar intake. This will help you avoid the sugar rush/crash cycle. 

- Be gentle & restful during certain times of the year/moon cycle/week. From Yule to Imbolc, you should be resting and not worrying about getting stuff done. The waning crescent moon is also a time to rest and recuperate. In general, Mondays are a day of rest and self-care as well, so get in touch with the Moon on those days and allow yourself to rest.

- Plan more energetic activities for certain times of the year/moon cycle/week. From Ostara to Lughnasadh you should be expending energy and putting your plans into action. During a first quarter moon is also a time to take action. In general, Tuesdays are “get-shit-done” days, so channel Mars on those days to give you an extra push. 

- Crystals. Carry or wear a red/yellow jasper, or a citrine. 

- Work with your solar plexus chakra. Focus on the area between your ribcage and belly button, and incorporate the color yellow into your life. 

- Spend time outside on sunny days. We all receive our energy from the sun. Feel the sun on your face and skin, warming you, and visualize yourself soaking up all that good energy to store and use later. 

- Write in journal regularly. Free-writing allows you to relieve stress & tension, and helps you see the issues you’re facing in your life more clearly. It can be best to journal in the morning, so you have all day to let your brain subconsciously work out these issues. If you journal before bed your brain might get tired from working out issues all night long. 

- Listen to your body, mind & spirit. Give yourself what you need.

- Reiki. Watch Reiki videos on improved energy. If possible, set up an appointment with a Reiki practitioner to work on you one-on-one.

- Talk therapy. Talk to a professional about what is making you tired. Therapy should be a learning experience, where you learn tips & strategies to manage your illness from day to day, so it has a minimal influence on your life. 

- Meditate on the following affirmations: 

      “I have the power to manifest what I want in my life.”

      “I feel self-confident.”

      “I can do anything.”

- Do yoga. Sun salutation especially, but also warrior pose and boat pose.

- Create/find a sigil for energy and use it. Write it on the bottom of your shoes, in your journal/grimoire, on a piece of paper you carry with you, on a stone you carry with you, above your bed so it can charge you all night long. 

- Keep your space tidy. Do dishes regularly, vacuum, take out trash/recycling, keep your laundry folded & clean. Scrub the toilets & kitchen countertops.
