It was announced that Hirano Ryo will appeare as a guest in the new Saiyuki performance - "Saiyuki Kagekiden - Gaiden". Other actors that were announced as guests are: Mikami Shun, Narimatsu Yoshihiko, Murata Mitsu, Fujita Rei, Oya Tayson, Kuranuki Masahiro.

The new Saiyuki Kagekiden - Gaiden will take place from September 29 - October 12, 2023 in Tokyo and October 19 - October 24, 2023 in Osaka.

Hirano Ryo is scheduled to appear as a guest on October 5, 2023, during the noon performance.

El sargento especialista y aviador de la Armada Imperial japonesa Nobuo Fujita, de 31 años, despega desde un avión en la cubierta de un submarino que ha navegado desde Japón hasta la costa oeste de EE.UU., con el objetivo de incendiar los grandes bosques del parque nacional del monte Emily, en Oregón, mediante el uso de bombas incendiarias, como respuesta al osado bombardeo de Tokio por los B-25 de James Doolittle en abril pasado. Tras volar entre la neblina y lanzar sobre un denso bosque la primera de las seis bombas de 76 kilos, que al detonar dispersan 520 bolitas incendiarias en un área de unos 90 metros cuadrados, ve el brillo de la explosión y llamas. Pensando que la misión ha sido un éxito, regresa al submarino. La realidad es que sólo quema 7 árboles porque ha llovido y los bosques están húmedos. El día 29, Fujita volverá a atacar, esta vez de noche, con idéntico resultado, aunque de vuelta al sumergible, estará convencido de haber organizado un buen incendio por lo que pondrán rumbo de vuelta a Japón.
