The fact that Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno are supposed to be Lugia's demigod servants is the funniest thing I picked up from the Pokemon Cosmology Document. Those three will throw wings at any excuse.

i think it's a bit fucked up that regigigas made all of the regis with a built-in "just fucking explode" functionality. and they get it from level 1. as if that's their most basic, essential function. what was its plan for these guys

Several of each Regi have been made by Regigigas, though how many is unknown. Whether or not there's more than one Regigigas is also unknown.

In one instance, a Regirock was sitting dormant beside a public hiking trail for years, covered in moss to the point of being unrecognizable, before suddenly waking up. It is thought that more Regis might be hiding in plain sight.

The Regis are known to be incredibly hardy and do not need to sleep, eat, or drink. They also can survive under many extreme temperatures.

In regions like Hoenn, it is believed that Regice, Regirock, and Registeel came first, with Regieleki and Regidrago coming later. In Galar, they believe the exact opposite.

Their average lifespans are unknown (how they're even alive in the first place is also unknown).

While they can be dangerous if provoked, they're also known to protect the land and have been known to protect individuals that seek them out.
